Friendship is like a treasure chest
A thing we can invest
When it rises up at its best
Sure as hell you’re above the rest
Friendship starts at hi’s and hello’s
And eventually it grows
They’re there at your lows
And they’ll let you feel the glow

That’s what I always think everyday
You put “best” in friends
So that “friendship never ends”
I thought it never ends
But as a saying goes “everything will come to an end”
I hate that end will come
I pray that end won’t come
For years, friendship fades
That’s what I fear everyday
You removed “best” and “friends”
Therefore, friendship ends
Friendships end at goodbyes
And eventually it dies
They weren’t there at your highs
And they’ll let you feel the cold empty nights
Empty and broken treasure chests
We have nothing to invest
