Quiet like the shadows in the dark.
Undergoing it’s meeting at the park.
Around the way it sees its prey.
Ranting to the sky, “Has it lost its way!”
Another life is taken, but it doesn’t seem to care.
Not until the smoke disperses will it see its wear.
Time is ticking on a broken clock.
Inside the crowds flock.
New to the outside as its prey stalks.
Even on a good day not everyone walks.

They call me the man of five realms.
I who control the helm.
Enlightened by those before.
Closely watched at the door.

They called me king.
Ruler of a beautiful spring.
Dethroned by rats.
Left to live off scraps.

Laughter of my travesties
Ruler of my fantasies.
Sitting in the stands.
I was my only friend.

Dreamer of a better life.
I just happened to be the dull knife.
While I sat in the stands.
I finally took the outreaching hands.

Yes, we sat inside.
To go outside we had to watch our hide.
We felt protected of it’s service.
While we never knew it’s disservice.

We watched from the windows.
Never knew which way the wind blowed.
The comfort of ourselves was enough.
Who would’ve thought of being tough.

What’s a ***** to a man?
I can’t stand a two timing fan.
We’re the up and coming world bearers.
While they were afraid of their own terror.

Yes, We sat outside!
It was our way to show pride.
Never inside, because we were too tough.
Escaped our own life when it got to rough.

Our Last Dance
We gave way to our friends in france
The beauty in her eyes
She always held me by surprise
She gave the night away
For her friends in a bigger play
Her eyes left me by surprise
This time I was watching the sunrise
My last dance
I slept away while my friends pranced
I dreamt about a night before
We talked about our days of yore
The Last Dance
She took away my evening stance

The road we walk is old, but still undiscovered
And yet the secrets we find are still smothered
I once dreamt of big things
Now all I see are my small swings

In all my missteps I never took the wrong step
The entire time you were there for prep
You got the last ****
What was your motivation though, since you've always had my will

Barely breathing in a world full of suffocating loss.
Raking in my thoughts I remember the time I lost my coin toss.
Only hope remains, but she’s dying in the corner.
Killing for a better day, but I’m a foreigner.
Enjoying my pain she is, but we’re both losing.
Never ending pain we’re in, but I’m the one who’s bruising.
There’s no ending in my far-reaching sight.
How I wish she can take flight.
Once she was a queen, but now she only sees dreams.
Useless I was playing for her team.
Going for self-doubt I could always accomplish.
Hiding away my fears that I would try to demolish.
Trouble it was to keep her happy, but for the moment it was worth it.
Scarier things we’ve seen that she won’t admit, but I’ll be the first to say it wasn’t counterfeit.
