Your love made me lose myself, left me unaware of my own being.
You took me so far from existence that I no longer knew my own name.

If you call me back to myself, you will not find me again,
For I have been lost in your street and no longer know my way.

With a single sip from the goblet of your lips, I am drunk like dewdrops,
And when you rise like the sun, I no longer know where I belong.

Like a candle in your presence, I burn without a trace,
Melting into nothingness, lost in your embrace.

The world fades into silence when I hear your voice,
A whisper in the wind, leaving me without a choice.

No more fasting, no more sleepless prayers,
Eid has come with wine and lutes in air.
Last night they searched the sky for the Eid moon,
I searched for you—
for you are my moon.

They watched the heavens, waiting for light,
but I found my dawn in your eyes tonight.
Let them chase stars that fade away—
I’ll drink to you, my Eid, my day.
