Roaming her kingdom and basking in glory
I’ve known love to be like a dragon
A mythical half-thought from a children’s story
I bore the view of her crossing the sea
The captain of her sinking ship, leaving last
I saw the crew of heartbreak and duty
Despite all the sinking, raising the mast
I’ve heard love calling, roaring my name
Calling to attention my part
The lion dragon captain, one and the same
Roaring soaring sinking in the depths of my heart

To fill your cup with new tea,
you must first empty your cup.
I emptied my cup unhesitatingly,
and someone filled it right up.
But that someone wasn't loyal
and filled my cup with oil.

Tis' the hour of the day
when the christian people say
to Adonai, "may I be forgiven?"
But in an hour or two
as the Christian folk do
I'll be back to my easy livin'
Lord grant me the strength
to yearn for your shield
Please allow me the light to see
and give me the nerve
to love those I serve
keep me on the path, this I plea
Not because I you should
but because you are good
should you act on the prayers I pray
and when i am done
when my battles are won
the following words shall I say:
Hallelujah, praise the Lord!
more than worthy is the Lord of praise!
May I forever sing songs
of the one who stayed strong
may I rejoice in the Lord all my days!
