Touch me, it doesn't matter where and it doesnt matter how I need to know I'm still alive so someone touch me now Shake my hand and say hello or pat me on the back kiss me on the cheek that I may feel this sense I lack slap my face and pull my hair make me bleed I just don't care dig your nails into my skin so I can feed this need within I've been numb for such a time that even pain would be sublime so touch me, touch me now I don't care where, I don't care how

Until You Became One
How can I be alright? Acting all normal is how you roll Before I came, you've already built up your wall And I've already made up my mind; you are lost there But don't ask me, I'm lost too You pepper spray me so often Now I can't see any other way but to you

Lost
Sometimes your heart needs to be broken So you can see what's underneath, To the flicker and flame of your soul That you've always been destined to meet. Sometimes your spirit shines brighter Through the glimmering light of your tears, And when you arrive at the end of it all Love will outshine the darkest of years

Sometimes
not the kind of pain that tickles and pokes but the kind that knocks you back a few feet when it hits & rips the air out of your lungs like the few moments of excruciating pain you feel when you stub your toe or clamp your hand between a door it's an unexpected kind of pain & your nerve endings can't help but become overwhelmed in pain it's a greedy kind of love the kind that takes and takes and TAKES it slices you open, not enough to be fatal but just enough to bleed & that's all that's left for you to do,                                                            b l e e d this love bleeds you dry, it takes all that is you & leaves nothing behind nothing for others to identify you by it leaves nothing for others to                                                            s a l v a g e it's a suffocating kind of love like a horrible case of claustrophobia the walls seem to be closing in the world is getting smaller the air is getting thinner & you watch for a few painful seconds as you lay there gasping for life clawing at the walls like a trapped mouse aware that you are dying aware that there you are utterly helpless to stop it a love whose purpose is to cage not treasure it boxes you up & creates a world that composes of only two strong arms that feel more like a prison than comfort they bind & enclose on you it's a love that should know when to stop but doesn't it's a never ending cycle of violence of heavy fists & relentless kicks then sweet kisses that act as apologies trying to soothe the pain & then whispers   "I'm sorry, never again. I promise." words that you know not to trust it is a love with no way out

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust Call this assurance if you must; But when it's time to say Farewell To one you love, it's just plain hell. There are no words, no healing balm, To fill the void, to ease the calm; And not a thing that one can say Will drive the quick hot tears away. We look upon the empty chair And seek the one no longer there; And so heartbreaking is the pain We question if we'll meet again. How grim indeed, if death should be The Bitter End--- Eternity; Just some vague dream conceived by Man And not a part of any plan. But God has taken such great care To note the sparrow in the air; His Love alone can cover all And Mark a simple Sparrows' fall. And if he cares for the birds that fly, then he must hear My Anguished cry; "Dear God, I yield my grief to Thee For Thou alone can comfort me."

Dear God
I'm still stuck in day-drunk unemployment. A millennial with eyes to a screen, adopting a science in a bedroom whisper for Gaza. Now a writer of pretty words and clumsy verse, there's no place for happiness in forcing poetry. There are ribbons and bows around the fenced-off trees, there are notebooks of unfinished thought. I'm searching the skies for a scrap of movement, for some coded message to **** the engine of war. There's a wedding in the morning, and there is somebody who still believes in love. Rainbow confetti will kick in the sky, a dandelion is born in the skull of old Palestine. I'm still stuck in this new-age desperation, a constant plea for peaceful completion. I'm changing address for a clean way of living, in your sweet floral dress, let this be the beginning.

Don't Be A Writer
I have searched for your face tirelessly everywhere. Though I've failed in my quest, I know you're there... I have seen your beauty in the full-moon's glow. I have seen your immensity in the celestial flow. I have seen your precision in an atoms procession. I have seen your passion in a poets obsession. I have seen your bounty when a rain rejuvenates. I have seen your mercy when a seedling germinates. I have seen your restrain when injustice prevailed. I have seen your wrath on great cities razed. Though I've seen you not, I've seen your essence, I have felt your love and your nurturing presence.
