My poetry journal accompanied me everywhere starting in sixth grade. Boys made fun of me for carrying my "diary" around. As I've grown, my style has matured, as have the topics I write about. / / Poetry is the only way I have found to express myself without being afraid of the content. The boys in sixth grade were right - I was carrying my diary around.
