I write about the unkind universe and metaphorical gourmet cheese. / / & / / I have a blog: http://www.eileen.tk
Let me inject parts of you Into words, handpicked The kind I’d use to write poetry Free-verse, haiku— Or what may have you. I’d pick up a black pen and write you The brilliance of your face And that fascinating grace, I could swear at any light Or time of day, It could have easily lifted a pen As well as moved me With strokes that were Possibly subtle and potent But with a common wish That is— To perpetuate you Somehow with me In these lines as we've come attached, I have written you to never end

The Never-ending You
I don’t have to look for you I find you always lingering In the sometimes virtual, Sometimes physical gaps in between My fingers, these words, and I know how— There’s no such thing as looking away For a Thursday night brought me a breath That I never thought of Until it came ablaze And landed inside my mouth With a fog so peculiar it made its way Down my salmon tongue It went travelling Wanting to meet my soul halfway So I let it wander Aboard a perpetual spectrum Of remarkable finding With a byproduct of a different me I will no longer be who I used to be My eyes could either be open or closed It makes no difference I see you just the same

Open/Closed
Yours is the heart I listen to For it buzzes and circulates With the deep blue inside of you Oh how I would love to— I’d tuck away your touch and such In the back of my curious mind Letting it grow in suspension With every mention Of the great unexplained feeling Constantly skipping rope with me And the strands of hair on my skin Oh, you’re a mojo pin The kind who moved inside of me Beside the beating of my heart Initially filling the space Pushing it out of place

Yours
Hold it with two hands The only thing that understands The sinister piece Alongside corporeal disease

The Sinister Piece
There was this one day I, A rolling accolade, Came around to comply Though pale and unafraid The shedding of my skin Followed shortly by force Such force to spark a grin That amplified my source I felt strong, dazzled too There was this energy Coiling tight as it grew And I found synergy From places all around From nature’s soothing sound

I
Before you let go And give in to lies Look for the girl with The sky in her eyes While walking slowly While drowning in doubt Bawl the bona fide: My heart cannot shout You mustn’t forget The words left unsaid For worst is that love Like light lacking LED Before you let go And let the worst rise Look for the girl with The sky in her eyes

Skies
You said, “Limitless.” And I let you fall As it was senseless When I had felt all And I was nonchalant Erasing which words Weren’t radiant Within these records We weren’t enough Did you notice too? The pretense in love– An apparent clue End
