*For the moon so loved the sun
He chased her till the end of days
The sun kept telling the moon to stop
For if he came close he’d burn in seconds
But the moon didn’t stop
He told the sun
“I’d rather burn and spend a few moments with you
than live my years without my love.”
So he kept on chasing*

Robin Hood,
Has clearly changed with the times
Giving in to the rich
As they steal the poor blind
Doesn't much care
How today's money is spent
With his dead end job
At the government
Robin Hood,
Works like a slave
With hours of overtime
On most holiday's
Spends after hours at the bar
With his merry men
Telling tall tales
Tossing back Tonic and Gin
Robin Hood.
Then goes home to his wife
Dreaming of better days
Of a better life
When he stole all he saw
Out smarting the law
Instead of tied down
To the ball and chain of his job
Robin Hood,
Figures he'll never retire
Like all the rest of this world
He'll one day just expire

Pilot, Ranger, Medic, SEAL,
or Merchant Mariner;
Barbary, 1812, American Revolution,
Civil, Spanish, Texan and Mexican,
WWI, WWII,
Korea, Vietnam,
Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Khaki, green, white and blue,
Ship, tank, plane... all boots.
Knife, pistol, bomb or rifle,
Weapon, bandage, or Bible instead,
Each one’s veins filled with red.
Hostage rescue, protect and shield,
Capture, conquer, overcome, never yield;
Freedom, heartbreak, loss and grief,
Foreign, home, border, sky,
Ocean, desert, mountain, plain,
Water side, hillside, bedside, grave.
Parent, child, father, mother,
Auntie, uncle, niece or nephew,
Sister, brother, spouse and lover.
May your sweat on furtive brow,
Rouse our tribute, take knee and bow.
Buried, missing... wounded all,
Respect, endure, honor, release,
Forever may you rest in peace.
*To each of you
Who’s paid a price,
With years, with limb,
With blood, with life,
For each of these,
Oh, warrior ferocious,
Wrapped around
A heart that’s precious;
My voice it sings,
Let freedom ring;
My heart, it bleeds,
My eyes, they weep;
My hand, it rises in salute;
And my soul is filled
This day for you
With pride that swells,
With love that beats,
A song of deepest,
Heartfelt
Gratitude!*
Oh Warrior, you this day I salute!!!

Holy is Your Name,
Author of Salvation,
hear my soul crying,
catch my spirit falling.
Wash my sadness away,
hurt my eyes to praise,
Jesus, You are all I need
forever is all I embrace.
Guide me into the woods,
ignite the fire in my heart,
a heart that once was lost;
peace my mind at war.
Love for the sinners,
light for the shadows,
sunshine in the thunder,
these are all I ask from You.
Lead me to Your path,
I hide my fears and rejoice,
take me with Your grace,
and I follow your voice.
I call upon You now, Jesus,
on these bended knees,
hear our soul crying,
catch our spirit falling.
Love for the sinners,
light for the shadows,
sunshine in the thunder,
these are all I ask from You.

Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.
