The world isn’t  black and white. You react like it’s  this or that, right or wrong, me or you, one way  or not at all. Break reality. Come down and you’ll realize that between  black and white there are colors never seen. Let me rub them on your skin. It may feel cold at first, but once you get used to it you can spread your new found language on me. Finger paint  this revelation on my soul.

Trust Me
Brown eyes looking up Up far beyond what the physical body can reach. It's an ache, a desire, an instinct, To push off from the ground And leave the familiarity, the everyday, the normal. Do what no one else has done before. Do what comes naturally - Fly. Wind touches body Temporarily. Two feet still touch dirt. Brown eyes looking up Up in the sky birds dominate with infinite power. It's an ache, a desire, an instinct, To push off from the ground And leave the earth behind. Go to the familiarity, the everyday, the normal. Do what everyone else does. Do what comes naturally - Fly. Wind touches body Temporarily. Why can't she fly?

We Can Twist and Manipulate Words to Form Perfect Sentences
When they look at her pictures on Facebook they see Beautiful symmetry, Shining eyes, Soft lips, And a **** good haircut. They see a stunning girl and they comment. When I look at her pictures on Facebook I see The last tagged picture from early July, The ignored compliments, The love given to her mother, And the struggle. I see a stunning girl And I say nothing.

Shana
Blood pumping through our veins, Involuntary. Two Three Four Five Cities Countries Nations. Hearts beat simultaneously. Beat for our countries, For our people, For ourselves. The lips that form a greeting smile. The flush of an embarrassed, nervous, excited face. Old, New, Transfusions. One pint will save three lives. You and three others. An accident that connects two people for an eternity, Or longer. Panting tongue, Best friend. Rough tongue, Old friend. The end button. But they’ll call back, Or you will. No new parts for you, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Friend, Neighbor, War hero, Civilian, Believer, Human. Say your good-byes. We’ll miss you.

Red Relationships
Lights are dimmed Drifting off to sleep... Commander speaks To 18 year olds Who are going to war Nothing is new Taut from experience Strict with bits of humor Failure comes not from confusion But fear of asking Your superior

U.S. Government
Blank white walls are the norm or beige, which is worse. We're not happy. We want red. Rough brush strokes and drips. Splotches and mistakes. Complete and total exposure.

The Room
I want everyone to tell me their story. Uncensored. Out there. Original. Bold. Type and type till you can't type another word. Give me a collection of life! Sporadic, intense, emotional, confusing, passionate, ugly, timid, sharp, simple, thought-provoking, short, and long. Real human experiences.

Tell Me
I want to run. I want to leave. I want to start again. I want to know what's stopping me.
