bard
Irish Poet & Clarsair in the tradition of the Irish Bards. I use my art to say what I would not otherwise be able. Having experienced tragedy, I have found my poetry allows me release. It is my catharsis. I write prolifically when under stress. / / I left my adopted home in Venezuela when it simply became to dangerous to stay. Mi Pais reflects this. A friend of mine was killed by police as he returned from leading an overnight youth vigil at his church. He left behind a two year old daughter. To her, Mi Pais is dedicated. / / My style is an eclectic lyrical style. I prefer the rhyme and find weaving it in with pleasing cadence is a challenge which takes my mind off of other thoughts. I am endeavoring to write in Spanish as well as English. While I am fluent, I do not have the subtleties of the language that the native speaker does. Thus it is quite the challenge. I also have tried the Celtic aisling in Irish, Spanish and English, Aisling of a Shamed Lady. You be the judge.
