If I was a poem
I could tell you my secrets
Without fear of judgement
If I was a poem
I could be ugly
And you would still think I'm beautiful
If I was a poem
My problems would be a source of art
And not painful baggage
If I was a poem
You would actually listen

I'm a bad guy
I stand up for myself
Even against friends
Because I respect my safety
I'm a bad guy
I'm not perfect
But I try to do the right thing
So other people will stop
I'm a bad guy
I refuse to keep taking shots
I fight back
It's not always smart but I'm not a target
I'm a bad guy
I use my voice during affliction
Other people pay for their crimes
And I'm always the one blamed
I try to make amends
And when they don't accept my apology
I become the bad guy

This face you see isn't real
This smile is fake
This laugh isn't genuine
Might as well be plastic
Since its stuck
I put this mask on to hide
Hide from the people and their words
Maybe if I don't show it
They will stop leaving
My eyes have run out of tears
My mouth dry of words
Can't seem to conquer my fears
I mask it with a fake face
I'm a zombie with a party mask
I drag but seem alright
My face tells them I'm fine
But I'm dead
I can't live while walking in the land of the dead
"Push it down"
They tell me
"Don't let it show"
I tell myself
Sometimes it feels like God won't help
These lies give me different masks
Anger puts them on
Fear keeps them on
Saying what I feel isn't an option
So I'll keep these masks
Say hello to my fake face

If my watch breaks
Then I will show you the wrinkles
On my heart
So you know how long
I've been waiting for your love

Those silly songs;
so sad but true
With lost feelings
of me and you
I played it on
with the tape's side A
Felt like blossoms of dawn
and flowers of May
I flipped the tape
Found side B's empty
The same thing I get
Every time you look at me
"You'll get over this."
You once confided
That's what our love is;
Too one-sided

I wonder what secret
The trees whisper to the breeze?
Do the birds hear that secret
And announce it in their song?
Does the wind hold it
And drop it in the seas?
Does the sea speak it out
And share it with the stars?
Do the heavens then resound
With the secret of the trees?
And the clouds,
Oh yes! Those clouds
Blue, black and grey
Is that why come rushing?
Across the seas to caress
With gentle rain the trees
And whisper,
"Heaven knows your heart,
There are no secrets from God."
The trees smile and sway
Fulfilled and complete in love.

If you don't mind
Back off
Oh sorry, not you
But my mind
See, we fight often
He tries to take over
Trying to make me miserable
But I resist
I'm into happiness and bliss
Too much time spent
Playing scenarios
Suspecting things
Believing lies
We usually end up in a compromise
I used to wish for the superpower of mind control
Until I realized I already have it
I control my own mind
Call me Professor X
I just schooled my mind
Positive thoughts
No more hate
Righteous thinking
I'm changing my fate
Put me through hell
But I tied him down
Like Naruto did to the nine tails
Yeah you'll see me around
But I'll be glowing this time

Don't got much in life
But I got 6 strings
What better way to deal with strife?
Playing my 6 strings
Don't got much to say
They can talk all day
So I'll let 6 strings talk
They talk so good they might as well walk
Pure words vibrating off their wood
Very loud, more than I ever could
Sometimes they sound sad
They even talk about your dad
Bronze skin but sounds like gold
Never gets old
A constant companion
As strong as a champion
Strummin' like a G...
Chord!
Play em' till I bleed
They're a different kind of breed
So whenever you here a crazy sound
A lovely sound
Harsh sound
Just know it isn't from me
Its from my 6 strings

My king is a rebel king
Different but much better
Wasn't defined by a ring
But by his miracles
He rebelled against the evil law
Against hatred clothed as compromise
People didn't like what they saw
But he didn't waver
People didn't serve him
He served the people
Saved them with true love
As they slayed him
A rebel king who shows mercy
As people do him wrong
He doesn't go with the trend
He's the stuff you sing about in a song
He sacrificed himself on a cross
The ultimate boss
Call him a backwards leader
A rebel king
