I saw the green leaves. I felt the sun blanket me. I heard the sound of your voice; But Summer must always turn to Fall. I heard the bird sing their songs; As we talked with enthusiasm in our voices; Watching the sun wake up to warm the town. But the sun must always set. The stars shine bright, The moon is pure and true, The night sky is so beautiful; But the sun must always rise. Her eyes like a pond in the fall, Shining bright green with golden flakes of sunlight. I thought she would be there for me; But Summer will always turn to Fall.

Summer
i don't want to go to sleep because i don't want to sleep without feeling your body curled around me. i don't want to go to sleep because i don't want to sleep without waking up next to your sleepy face. but i have to for now so i will. but until i see you i'm giggling & smiling at our memories & dreaming of your smile.

awake late
My only inspiration-- it’s you. My best friend-- it’s you. My silver lining-- it’s you you’re like honey to a bee      or bark to a tree You’re every color in the rainbow You’re the rain that makes things grow You’re every word to my poem Even the ones that never rhyme You're every work of art And every drop of blood in my heart.

You/ Sonnet Two
The rain, falling softly on her skin The pain, entering her lonely soul Dark and gloomy, falling down a hole In love, a tragic tale Everything, smoke, mirrors, and blackmail First, everything was fine Living on cloud nine One drunken night is all it takes He made a few too many mistakes She stayed, followed his commands “Don’t you ******* tell” he demands A painful strike across the face She was a disgrace Afraid to believe, afraid to confess She was an angel in distress All she needed was a knight Too bad no one was in sight A beautiful girl, everyone loved her A sinister man, he was a saboteur She wanted to leave him, to get out of there All she needed was a sinner’s prayer Too bad no one was in sight

No one in sight
I just wanted to lend a helping hand To be the one there; When you needed someone. You went and broke my heart into two; Like a piece of oak under an axe. You let me go; Like a child does a balloon. Yet, I was always there; Even though you were nowhere in sight.  I gave you my loving arms; Yet you rejected them. I was a crying newborn; You were an ungrateful mother. I was vulnerable; You took advantage. However, I will always love you; No matter how much you hurt me. My heart is made of glass; Yours of steel.

Steel heart
She is the answer to all my problems The creation of all my happiness She’s the love inside my heart and my reason for waking She’s like a rainbow-- Everything is more colorful when she’s near. She’s a wildflower in a field of weeds, A burst of color in a dreary world. She’s a clear spring day, Warming my heart and filling me with joy. Her voice like the gentle breeze, Music to my ear-- She’s my favorite song. He’s a stain on an expensive rug, One you can’t get out. He’s a flea to a dog, One that won’t go away. He’s a minor note in her song. A note that only preaches hate. He’s like a virus-- Only doing harm I lift her up to the heavens He drags her down to hell I’m a ray of sunshine While he’s a nimbus cloud I could confess how I feel but in the end-- He’s the one she loves.
