Moonlight
lane Mar 2019
It's dark outside and I can't see anything without my flashlight
It's cold and the wind caresses my face and hair, blowing it from side to side
I look up to the sky and see the faint glowing dots, and the sun of the night unlike the moon of the day
The stars that are so far away, but are able to be bright enough for all of us to see
The moon that glows magnificently in the dark cold sky on this earth
Also far away from us, but close enough to shine enough light on this planet
I am thankful for it's light to guide me back home
It's light for me to look up and remember what a home is
Having it's divine glow embrace me and carrying me into it's care and love
It's close enough to be able to not only be seen, but to see me as well
Making sure I'm not alone at night
