Poet Nathan Jan 2018
Tears freely flew
Fond the feeling grew
Words spoken a ruin
Needed here was a win
With no run
I found myself in the rain
Drenched I reasoned
" She will be happy,
if my face stopped being all this gloomy"
Poet Nathan Jan 2018
A twice told tale with no record
A mystery I purport
A salute!

The life of man, a wonder
Every mind needs to, ponder
A salute!

An eternal question,
"Would any of you who are fathers
give your son a stone when he asks
for bread?"
A salute!

Man's answer,
"Of course yes!
The world.Over the years!
A salute!

A comrade of the bottle
Always too willing to spend no little
Will buy a hungry friend expensive wine
And on the request for food, give a whine
A salute!

Poet Nathan May 2019
Green, red and blue.
Children sniffing glue.
Mouths speaking to self.
Lips cursing.
Leaves the body in a half,
and the spirit withering.
Cracks and potholes
Souls moving on soles
Desire is the fire
and fear holds us in the rear.
Such are our streets.
Poet Nathan Sep 2018
She starts as a slow,
Wind far down below.
Sedate, benign
and completely routine.
But then,
propelled by the heat,
Rises and rises in rage,
And gathers into
A storm,
Intractable.
