Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed This strength of my youth, these breaths, All are surrendered to you To protect your honour I would forego hundred lifetimes I would either embrace death or vanquish your enemies Touching your feet in reverence I take this solemn oath until the end of my life I would be loyal to you Those who have died in your lap their spirits bask in eternal happiness *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* My mother tells me I will go on without you bearing the pain of your passing by turning my heart into stone However, if in your lifetime there is a threat to this country and being fearless you do not fight this threat, my son, then, I will think, I birthed poison instead of life or that my nourishment did not give enough strength Listening to these words my head lies forever bowed *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* It is not only said by my mother but all mothers of this country to give birth to a Narsimh they bear difficult pangs of labour Those brave warriors who wrote history with their life blood carry their images in your heart and placing your hand there, promise, you will forsake everything else at the call of your motherland Your body, soul and life surrendered to your country *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* Narsimh - an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, often visualised as having a human torso and lower body, with a lion face and claws. He is known primarily as the 'Great Protector' who specifically defends and protects his devotees in times of need. Translation is given by karishma ji

In age of old, in time that pass like tides, When Prometheus lived and Lo! He strived, As thirsting for Heaven, he climbed its hills, and trees, Clenching at the Sun, its spark he seize. The leaves, they warmed, turn bright and evergreen, As Prometheus, he to fierce fire wean, Swell lips sip lightning, of the nascent noon, And divine heat from his hand duly shone, To Roses, who sing, uprise and sweet rebel, In bloom to conquer, vanquish concrete hell. A wish for fire, fulfilled, angered Zeus, He thought the fire be given, not to choose, That excellence with fire, laurel his, "A crime against the Gods Prometheus did." For glory of the light from Heaven sent, The hour of his favour now gone, spent. Smite down the hero, tear ambition down, Old Zeus, but young ambition wears your crown, For daring, striving why not badge of God? The Promethean vision all time hath applaud, It art of upper world, belong in sky, Praise Prometheus as fire goes roving by. Mind gilded by the golden, whirling thread, You seize from Heaven, through the Earth now spread, Bringing hope to hearts, life to the dead, As for forgiveness of the Gods you plead, For an uncriminal act and sublime deed, The arrogance of Zeus? Need not to feed.

When the world turns upside down Because of a computer virus Who ya gonna call? The magical IT department. On horses of cabled veins They charge to vanquish The evil that lurks inside The internet. White flags blowing in the breeze Always on hand and Well educated But miserable in their own way.

Loneliness Is Wishing To Cry Can we really control our loneliness when it attacks? Of course not. However, we can employ the means by which to channel it into a positive force. A force whereby we recruit others and together battle this power of the dark side attempting to cajole us into this state of melancholy. We have to collectively rise to the occassion, and with the force of Good, vanquish it forever more. Here is a short poem about what loneliness means to me. It was written at a time in my life when I was trying to deal with the recent death of a close family member. Needless to say, I was most devasted at the time of this writing. This poem at that time, in reflection, acted as a therapeutic means for me to "get it all out". Loneliness is despair Loneliness is something to beware Loneliness is the thought today of no tomorrow Loneliness is wishing to cry without knowing why Loneliness is a simple feeling without a simple answer Loneliness comes Loneliness goes Loneliness is that uninvited guest who visits, always without a request Loneliness is a sickness you my friend are the cure Together we will strengthen and together we will endure.....

Loneliness - Its True Meaning
A Man who believes In word of affirmation, To love and cherish a woman Entice with his natural charms To court a real woman, never Mistreat her with his immature Mistakes A Real Man,A nor womanizer Who impregnates bunch of girls To use his babies,as a trophy For the glory as of a stolen Diamond to his gang. A Lad who spread legs Of a Lady for dump victory To find gold. But,He who takes responsibilities When they occurs and never denies,is a man. Who share a burden of his brokenheart Angel and embrace, Is whom who wakes up early, Say a prayer and hustle to care For his family, and never backs down. Vanquish life with vasted hopes. A Man who knows Man's presence To a Woman's heart... ...He is The True Essence Of A Real Man

Long Suffering for Love Everlasting (Happy 8th Monthsary my King Brandon) (Haiku ×10)
In times gone by, now recondite, Neanderthal, ***** upright, spoke softly, tones so lily-white, and tried to put the world aright. He taught us how the flame ignites that wearing furs will warm the nights, just why the rolling wheel excites, and how the beveled flint stone bites. Before the days of dynamite he fought his foes with spit and spite, and swung big sticks with all his might, and rendered death with stones in flight. Engaged in never-ending fight (arenas were a global sight) he forced his forces to unite to sate his oily appetite. To quell rude thoughts that may incite he ruled the realm with fly-by-nights and culled the winds of words in flight, and darkened minds to anthracite. With fairy tales of evil sprites and how the fist of freedom smites, he washed the world with flames alight to vanquish hoards of parasites. Each dawn the damage brought delight, the foe was bent, a bit contrite… yet battled on with no respite until the dusk and evening light. Encamped beside the firelight Neanderthal, that shiny Knight, awaited morn while sitting tight assured the end would be alright. Yes, conquest seemed his sacred right… Forevermore?… well, no, not quite… Neanderthal's extinct tonight and lies beside the Trilobite… MORAL The Oreo is round, not bright: while rolling near the candlelight at first the searing seemed so slight, the molten cream an oversight…

The back door.  Green eyes and smelly fur!  The werewolf comes for our kid.   Its time!  White Knight teddy armed with a wooden sword and Judy the red Raccoon and her magical red powers!  Its time to vanquish this nightmare before it even starts!  The werewolf tears down the back door and howls in the darkness.  All we can see is the bright green eyes shining in the blackness.  And there awaits White Knight Teddy and Judy the Red Raccoon!  W.K.T lands a flurry of blows with his awesome unbreakable wooden sword as the werewolf cries in pain!  Judy the Red then emits waves of magical red beams that knock the werewolf out the back door as it screams in fear and scampers back into the woods! And so W.K.T And Judy the red Raccoon triumph over the would be nightmare that was trying to haunt their kid.  NOT TONIGHT!!!

White Knight Teddy And Judy the Red Raccoon ( Stuffed Animal Guardians )
This is me now, coming forth from the clouds. Recharging in silence, fully-powered I follow sounds. Taking on a new form - had to once I outgrew the space allowed. I've truly bloomed since my heart was locked in the dark and hostile underground. Hades once hated me but never tried to vanquish me. He tried to force nightmares on his subjects that I would replace with sweet dreams. His ears would steam from not understanding. I found the key, and my heart was released. I broke free and floated away with Persephone, happily. Be wary of intentions behind the pomegranate seeds. Listen to your heart, that beat lead me to where I needed to be. True story. Happy Eleven11

Floating (11/11/18)
Vanquish or Vanish , That’s what they said, Before I embraced the valour, Of the dead, Silence since reigns, These dungeons deep, For, I was a Gladiator, Who chose to weep. The Arena that chanted , My mighty name, The mellow maiden, Who whispered the same; They are but fractions, Of an empire lost, For passion sparked, At honour's cost. Gladiators will come, And gladiators will go, And yet, None will dare embrace His fallen foe. The crowd will cheer, As the Cowards will roar, While I will weep, At my dungeon door.

A Gladiator's Tale
The sand drenched in blood, sword arm aches. Yet another foe approaches, soon he to shall die. I am the gladiator, battle is my home. Pain is for the weak, I feel it not Cut off my limb I shall grow another. For I am everlasting,I am immortaL Cry no tears for me, I am the hunter. The one you fear and dare not speak my name. Come and vanquish me if you dare I WAIT FOR MY END

Mahatma Gandhi   Young visitors in a gallery, Stood before a portrait of Gandhiji, Charmed by his toothless smile, Eyes sparkling through glasses round And an old watch dangling from his waist, With his chest bare and a **** cloth Covering his lean , frail frame. While they wondered how the good old man Could shake the mighty British empire And fight without weapons of destruction, They were thrilled to behold a vision rare - The smiling  Gandhi emerged from the frame, Saying that his weapons were invisible, Yet, they could vanquish the most powerful Without hatred and shedding no blood! His loving voice and childlike smile Combined with an unbending will, Wielding the power of truth and nonviolence Could conquer his mighty ruthless foes And turn them into everloving friends!. Feeling amazed, the visitors stared At the Mahatma moving back into the frame; Begged him to remain and lead them again. "My countrymen," he said "seem to have forgotten, " The bloodshed and horror of partition. "Terrorists and fanatics **** and burn " And innocent victims feel miserable and forlorn. "Twice a year, on my 'samaadhi', flowers are strewn, " While helpless millions struggle and groan. "In these days of endless greed and senseless crime, " "Guided missiles and misguided men, " My words seem to have no relevance, "Yet, if they listen to their own conscience, " Give up greed and serve with compassion, "The India of my dreams will arrive soon." Sad and surprised, the visitors stared: Though the figure vanished, his words inspired And they resolved to follow his noble ways And strive for the welfare of all mankind.                   *********  M.G.Narasimha Murthy Hyderabad, India.        [email protected]

*Between the night and daylight,      As twilight begins to shower, Comes a lull in the day's preparations,      Cherished as the Kittys' Hour. I hear in the kitchen beside me,      The patter of tiny feet, Rumbles of varying motors      With "meow's" gentle and sweet. Leaping from counter with agile grace      On my shoulder with a purr; Sail grave Thomas and sweet Lady Jane,      And Susan of golden fur. A "meow," and then a long silence,      I know by mischievous eyes, They are scheming and musing together,      To vanquish my weary sighs. With sudden dash from the hallway,      Tortie bounds into my arms! Felines of all colours sit starring,      Delighting me with their charms. Frolicking with skillful ease,      Tossing and batting their catnip-mouse; If I run to escape, they surround me,      They appear to overflow the house. Suffocating me with their kisses,      Furry paws patting my face; And though they have torn the kitchen blinds,      They dazzle me with their grace. I hug you all close in loving arms,      And will n'er let you depart, Nor ****** you dears out to coyotes,      For you each have won my heart. And here shall you dwell forever,      Cherished more each golden day; Till this glad house fall into ruin,      And I in dust shall decay.*                  ~Hilda~

The Kittys' Hour.
Here's one for the gamers dungeon dwellers, competitors and casual players Whether they're at home or at a friend, footballers, car racers or dragon slayers To the world that looks down on us for those who's hobbies least appeal Just because they don't understand the reason or share the passion we feel Gamers like acheivements each to their own Whether its to vanquish the opposition build, or break their enemies throne Is that so different perhaps they spend a lot of time at home But isn't playing online with their friends a little better than just sitting alone on ones phone? The world of gaming has evolved and adapted so much It's a common to see a mother aligning fruit or a child with a flapping duck And is it such a bad thing if the players are actually having fun It may not be making them better but I can think of many worse things they could have done They say games encourage violence but these people are some of the kindest I've ever seen Theft, ****** and street racing would it not be better if these things were only done behind a computer screen? For many, its more than just a game and can lead to some desperation But people need to know the limits and play in moderation For some it's to do things they wouldn't normally do or say on a daily basis A couch potato wanting to explore the world avoid boredom, keep their mind from stasis To feel the breeze of a challenge drive a fast car or sword-fight, maybe even do some parkour Whether they want to skydive or skate over a hill To be able to do something dangerous without having to sign a medical bill We all have our reasons some play casually while others play to vent E-gaming has become so popular now hosting world tournaments and many gaming event This is how we are so please let us be Our motives are like captured birds are we are just setting them free Whether you want to be a princess or guardian of a banana tree You can do whatever you want just follow your dream People will always be different this is just another sub-culture; like fans of a band But we are the gamers and by this title proudly we stand

I have suicidal depression--                                         and no,  I don't want to tell you about it. I'd rather hide it from you (if I could) And bury it the way you might do with someone you once loved Maybe sharing their pain if only just for the moment... I don't want you to sympathize with me either. It's not that kind of sad I'm afraid.. I need this to hurt me, because if it doesn't I won't learn that it isn't okay to feel this way. A long and outlasting life will be my punishment for this.  I will die in valour and bury this axe where cessation lies dormant Never to be shared with you My sickness fully contained.  I will vanquish this demon inside myself. I will starve before it feeds. I solemnly swear this exorcism on your behalf. You will never know My pain.

My Pain
Clueless, full of oblivious reasons Seasons washing away unknown regions Lesions inside my soul, you’re teasing Seizing, forcefully squeezing, my heart Torn apart, ignorantly smart, but senseless Defenseless to your love, push and shove Haven’t lost balance, surrounded by absence Too many years since, love differenced the equation Self persuasion, wondering where you were Noticing the abrasion worn on my heart, epiphany Lacking dignity, imploring for your sympathy Running in place, suffering from anguish Losing hope, praying for vanquish Heart losing strength, this isn’t the end Exceedingly forcing myself to pretend, it’s done I have won, I’m strong now It’s over, I’m gone now

Overcoming
Bursting pinkish white blossoms fall in spring patterns The air is filled with connecting one being to another Each being is enthrolled with the heated day Birds chirp on nature's timetable in genetic rhythm The new warmth envelops your body like a true lover Your body relaxes in each step that is taken Spring skies vanquish the dismal grays revealing a sunny and blue canopy with white billowing clouds Still and at ease are your and my thoughts as remorseful thinking is now of cheer And the relaxed happy chattering of outside people break the harsh-winter silence

Cherry Blossoms And Sunshine
Yahya Kemal Beyatli translations Yahya Kemal Beyatli (1884-1958) was a Turkish poet, editor, columnist and historian, as well as a politician and diplomat. Born born Ahmet Âgâh, he wrote under the pen names Agâh Kemal, Esrar, Mehmet Agâh, and Süleyman Sadi. He served as Turkey’s ambassador to Poland, Portugal and Pakistan. Sessiz Gemi (“Silent Ship”) by Yahya Kemal Beyatli loose translation by Nurgül Yayman and Michael R. Burch for the refugees The time to weigh anchor has come; a ship departing harbor slips quietly out into the unknown, cruising noiselessly, its occupants already ghosts. No flourished handkerchiefs acknowledge their departure; the landlocked mourners stand nurturing their grief, scanning the bleak horizon, their eyes blurring... Poor souls! Desperate hearts! But this is hardly the last ship departing! There is always more pain to unload in this sorrowful life! The hesitations of lovers and their belovèds are futile, for they cannot know where the vanished are bound. Many hopes must be quenched by the distant waves, since years must pass, and no one returns from this journey. Full Moon by Yahya Kemal Beyatli loose translation by Nurgül Yayman and Michael R. Burch You are so lovely the full moon just might delight in your rising, as curious and bright, to vanquish night. But what can a mortal man do, dear, but hope? I’ll ponder your mysteries and (hmmmm) try to cope. We both know you have every right to say no. The Music of the Snow by Yahya Kemal Beyatli loose translation/interpretation by Michael R. Burch This melody of a night lasting longer than a thousand years! This music of the snow supposed to last for thousand years! Sorrowful as the prayers of a secluded monastery, It rises from a choir of a hundred voices! As the organ’s harmonies resound profoundly, I share the sufferings of Slavic grief. Then my mind drifts far from this city, this era, To the old records of Tanburi Cemil Bey. Now I’m suddenly overjoyed as once again I hear, With the ears of my heart, the purest sounds of Istanbul! Thoughts of the snow and darkness depart me; I keep them at bay all night with my dreams! Translator’s notes: “Slavic grief” because Beyatli wrote this poem while in Warsaw, serving as Turkey’s ambassador to Poland, in 1927. Tanburi Cemil Bey was a Turkish composer. Keywords/Tags: Beyatli, Agah, Kemal, Esrar, Turkish, translation, Turkey, silent, ship, anchor, harbor, ghosts, grief, Istanbul, moon, music, snow

Grotesque Supremacy
It's time to fight for your freedom. Do you see yourself, Silhouette against the setting sun - Reds as deep as the monster's eyes, Draped in cold silver? A breast plate hides the heart, Shin guards perverse agility, Chain-mail protects strength, A helmet retains sanity, A trusty steed will hurry the process, This cloth to ease the pain of battle, A torch to ensure you won't get lost; A sword to vanquish the creature that controls your heart. Silhouette, with arm raised high, Begins to charge just as stars dot the sky. You have all you need, now fight until the only thing left you have to give is a single breath in which the dying words I love you are carried far away to the next champion to fall at this beast's hands.

Silhouette Champion
In the middle of the night, I met death at the kitchen: Having a glass of milk. I didn't wash them dishes, so death be not proud; for drinking out a ***** cup... Oh spare me death, my beef was not with thee; but with my own flesh... Whilst by the stove,I feel the coldness u brought with. I jest for a favour, can you please have "Ubuntu" and hand me over the spoon so my lips can taste the sip of mercy? My cup runs over yet I never drink from it. Allow me this once to say my final prayer and vanquish my hunger with mothers mqomboti...tonight I met death inda kitchen.... No cookies for my milk!

Umqombothi (African Beer)
She feeds on Fear. Feeds on past insults and old rotten words. Feeds on what ifs? and “what can I get away with?” Oh, she’s a clever one. She can be a dragon and a terror, but more often than not, she’ll make herself real small, like a tiny kitten. Nibble away at all that is Good without me noticing. [Just call them love bites.] Meows: *“play with me, play with me, I need the attention and you aren’t doing anything Important right now If you love me, play with me. Make me purr. Sure I scratch but you don’t really want me to leave. Make me purr. Sure I scratch but no one will know the difference.”* Get her purring and I am no longer myself. She is satisfied, temporarily. [Always temporarily. She’s always hungry]. And me? Who knows what I am, when she’s in control, except convinced that I love poisoned claws digging into my soul. I’m used to her, I love her, I swear. [I’m used to her.] The thing about Monsters is that they can shape shift. This is no Disney movie, no horror story, no evil step-mother to contend with and vanquish. A simple battle between Good and Evil. Monsters are not black and white. It’s all a mess of colors, you see. - Maybe the monsters within are not even truly Bad. Only: *afraid, hurt, wounded abandoned.* Trauma’s last defense against all that accumulated Hurt. Maybe the monster within can be tamed disarmed, declawed. Turned back into a kitten again. Tough, playful, protective. But not Destructive. Not a Terror. Not Deadly. - Don’t say for sure that there are no monsters lurking within you. Mine are loud. Yours might just be dormant. - [Tell me about your monsters within.]

The empty chair sets on stage frightening me with its rage. It asks words of a wise mage, which I'm not; this blot I can't assuage. If I dared, they said that night, I'd soon be over this fright. But I have seen the spotlight shining cold, and told tales of its might. Far be it from me to know the intimate secrets low which help them vanquish their foe of rank fear to jeer at my shadow.
