Oh beautiful for specious lies where Christless values reign; for superficial battle cries above the muted strain: Diversity, diversity God hides His face from thee— and frown he should, while planethood distracts humanity. How sad it is when victim groups monopolize the floor; enabling the marginals to agitate for more. Diversity, diversity, Your queer agenda rules— with Balkanizing tendencies imposed on witless tools. Degenerate in decadence the ailing eagle flies; in spirals of irrelevance through clouded toxic skies… Diversity, diversity the Left defines your terms; the weakened body politic grows sicker as it squirms. Oh Lord we need a miracle before the patient fails; celestial intervention please to purge us of what ails. Diversity, diversity We shall not overcome— Unless the Lord reveal His word twixt here and Kingdom Come…

Diversity Training
Stumbling into ancient scripts, authored a decades plus ago, ago being a modifier of time quantities, minute or large, unspecific without an objective adjective additive, that faucets a stream of an interlocutory elocution of a batter of rooted emotional histories, but not histrionics fanciful words for dredged up memories, acute, but tarnished, powered yet worn by a cousin of ago, a/k/a, age and yet renews as of, at this very second, as if it were a first, a tumult of visions, swelling of remembrances, embodied scars, and I weep anew but not for me, as much for the resonating simpatico souls with whom they even  now vibrate with resonance of the immediacy of If not now, When? Aside: The exterior environment is noisy wet pelting of thunderstorms and ****** sheets of bulleting rain, piercing projectiles, but I am safe in the sunroom, sadly happy my dog is no longer here to shiver and tremble, cuddle and be soothed by steady stroking But I am here, wrestling with this dredging operation, digging up tons of sand that require dumping, and I ask, inquire, beg: Who will take this detritus off my hands, once more, now uncovered, now recovered, the soil is already soaked and can absorb no more, the soul is already soaked and can absorb no more, the weakened heart, damaged and occluded, suffer cannot bare twice the outrageous misfortune of unbared recollections, twice, or thrice, and I feel myself drowning in revisiting pain, **** **** **** these old poems, not nuggets, but boulders dropping from night skies, shot from a pitching machine, without letup, piercing of agonies that once ago   freshly desecrated and decorated my basic training in humanity. Enough whining: *I wrote those poems to eject out those pains, and I write this now, once more, to realize that so so many still face uncertain and unrelenting similarities, doing their own sums, and I wish them easing, strength to compose and thereby dispose of the ineloquent and eloquent words of staining suffering* 3:30am Thur July 10 2025

“You are worth more than the marigolds” I am assured by my loving mother as a child I believe her because the beauty in everything flow’rs and flourishes when you’re young The world is yours to take, everyone is yours to meet, everything is yours to do; and I believe her. “You are worth more than the marigolds” My first friend at school proclaims, and I believe them. We’ve tackled ***** training and preschool, now onto the playground and phonics! We run and run together, taking the world like we’ve whispered once before; and I believe them. “You are worth more than the marigolds” The middle school test scores announce, and I believe them. Primary school is in the past and I’m ready for responsibility! I put on makeup to feel pretty, care about my grades more than the teachers believe and flash my smile to the boys who spit “compliments” at my feet; and I believe them. “You are worth more than the marigolds” but.. I don’t believe them anymore. I’ve gained just enough confidence to smile at everyone in the halls in case they are having a bad day. Suddenly my youthful euphoric vision is graffitied with hateful words and violence. I run and constantly chase the innocence of the world, being surrounded by darkness. My self esteem has hit an all time low. Why is the world this way? My friends and I chase what we used to believe and end up in deep holes; and I don’t believe them anymore. “You are worth more than the marigolds” And it doesn’t matter. I have lost all hope of finding that beauty. My heart is an aching mess of “I love you”’s But all I hear is “you are meaningless” Slowly these phrases of deep hate sear into my soul I hear them every day and every night You are meaningless You are not worthy You could not possibly be good enough Until I wake up one dismal morning to realize that I have been defined by the ones around me. “You are worth more than the marigolds” ..and enough! Because even my friends who say I’m worth something turn around and sneer at others like they can’t too be loved. Because while the world screams “I hate people” I whisper “but I don’t”. But that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things because we’ll find someone who loves us, right? No. Our words between just us mean nothing if we spin around and spit in others’ faces. And we know we hurt because we’ve been hurt but we don’t stop, none of us stop. I dream of a world that screams a vulnerable “I love you” out into the world instead of a pulsing “I hate you” And a world that remembers that we are all worthy of love and not only the kind that makes you blush. “You are worth more than the marigolds” The phrase I’ve heard since I was in my mother’s gentle hold can only mean so much when you think you’re crumpled. Stashed away until you’re needed always feeling so defeated but the truth not told enough to our weakened souls We are all worth more than the marigolds

training my parrot, again
I have been training, My whole entire life, to get ready for the fight, holding steady in my hand, a knife. _____ I just want to be a hero a masked crusader in the night, saving the planet, one person at a time, but for now, I'll just write

Warrior/Hero
I’m at the point where I can go from feeling so much to so little in an instant. My emotions are all disarray. I feel like my veins are pumping potential energy, heart beat-beat-beating in anticipation for all the things that are about to happen in my life. Growing up is weird. I’m learning and changing and evolving and it doesn’t feel like summer that passes and it’s August and you’re wondering where all the time went… every day I feel time whizzing past; if the hands on the clock rotate any faster it’ll fly off my desk and out the window. I am so many things, and I’m training my eyes to find possibility in every second, to not let time get away from me, to not let myself live in a time that hasn’t even come yet. There is so much I want to do, so much I want to see, so much I want to create, so much I want to be. I’m chasing light and I’m discovering who I am and what I want to do and how I want to live and I’m aching to praise my God with every breath.

You said The most brilliant thing You said it was Like a heart surgery But he was only a Surgeon in training And had neglected to Mention beforehand That it was only Exploratory cardiac surgery; And it was just for his Simmering curiosity *(He couldn't have carried Out a simple angioplasty?)* That he cut the aorta That's what you said And his curiosity subsided; And he left as you bled.

Puppy Love
Love is a ***** soup going stale but steaming like it's brand new; And I'm Oliver twist walking up to the *** with a rusty spoon full of desire and hope asking for more but getting none. Love is a Doctor gathering dead bodies and shackling them up in chains; And I'm a green freak with Frankenstein bolts ****** through my head walking around with only a mumble to muster trying to love people who just want to run away. Love is a white paper rolled so finely, full of sedatives and drugs; And I'm sitting by a fire reaching in for a log to smoke. Love is puzzle made by Einstein and Sam Loyd; And I'm a child with eyes made of glass and hands made of thorns crying to my mother because that puzzle is a ***** Love is Navy Seal training on a beach covered in cold water spilling blood for a chance; And I'm a pot-smoking hippie who holds up signs and tells soldiers they’re monsters as I take a puff of death. Love is a ten-syllable word compacted into one; And I'm a hooked on phonics children’s thesaurus struggling to find a comparison that I can actually pronounce. Love is a white egg timer sitting on the fridge set to all nines; And I'm a busy housewife waiting to cook dinner at the sound of its bell. Love is a robber with a 45 in his belt; And I'm an eager dad trying to protect his family with a wooden stick. Love is hot coffee from a luxury beverage shop; And I'm a plastic party cup melting away. Love is a doctor with a PHD in heart surgery; And I'm a sick child waiting with his mother with no healthcare ******* on a free doctor’s-office lollypop. Love is a huge pink eraser; And I'm a graphite pencil struggling to write while me and the eraser fight. Love is a pickup truck speeding through town drunk; And I'm a lost puppy running through the same intersection looking for my owner. Love is meant for fish; And I'm a bird.

Today. I give up. I got up to you, I climbed all the stairs of the seven storeys, until I got there, where I forsook the costume and the mask, the desire and the expectancy. I left them all neatly folded at the door. You will find them in the morning when you will wake up and you will leave sleepy for the office. You probably won't put them into consideration. You'll step over "i miss you", over "i'd love to", and you''ll hit the little"why" in its belly while he slowly pulls your sleeve. Don't worry, I am better now. I forgot about the dimples and the mole. How does your voice sound? Your eyes... are they green or brown? That yellow t-shirt, that plaid shirt... I do not even care if you will see the pile waiting for you outside the door. It's not like you have not seen my backpack every time we met... Today I give up. Because I am not made of concrete, and that's how the breeze that you carry with you always unbalances me. Because I really know how to ride a bike and I do not need training wheels. Because I am not afraid. Because I have courage. And especially, because I have nothing to do here. It's empty and deserted. It's nothing. Today I quit.

**** this civilized **** I am set, like an object. So don't object. My eyes on the prize like my future subjects. All these haters is suspect, I pay them no respect. That's how a King treats his subjects. I blow minds like lare jets-- then take marks and get set. It could be the bad or the ugly, l'm as good as it gets. I'm raising the bar like I'm working my pecs, working hard, baring arms like I'm funk master flex. I'm laughing so hard it's hurting my chest. instead of getting money I'm enjoying my wealth,  weight a couple rounds, then rise up in belts. My Dawgs underdogs, like we training vets. I weigh the pros agasint cons, then Shakakon like I'm K. West. Extend my arm and drop a bomb when this mic turn on. My future brighter than prospects, standing on Prospect while the Sunset waiting to get it on

if "you are what you eat" was true i would help myself to a bouquet of sunflowers everyday, because i want to learn how to shine like the street light outside my bedroom window i'd line my stomach with old leonard cohen records so i could sing all my "i love you"'s i would stuff my face with the pages of your favourite book so i could regurgitate the words you love so much whisper them in your ear while you sleep i'd take a bite out of an oak tree cut me in half & count my rings there are so many things i wish i were i am not graceful i'd like to make a toast to every day that i haven't fallen down or slipped or tripped on my words see, i am full of mistakes i never learned how to ride a bike god, my parents really tried but the ground was so unforgiving & i was too afraid of falling now, i would eat those training wheels so i could keep my balance walk in a straight line i'd swallow my watch so i'm always on time don't be surprised if you see me tucking into those sunflowers please, come & bask in my rays.

the clay patio was baking just hot enough for the dough to rise and crisp and for you to spread your blanket in the sun perfect for a picnic with the kids and observing the man on that really tall bicycle it’s times like these when you think why doesn’t everyone just shut off and bake in the sun with a glass of peach tea and a pair of well behaved kids who share life like it was their job to love each other their mother dad and especially the old dog even the young lovers get jealous as their gaze from the park to your front patio witnessing that there is something more to love than just body heat chocolate-dipped strawberries and jazz clubs that children grow like spinach flowers in mellow medallion heat until the training wheels come off and they feel earth’s balance for the first time and the peaches! they shackle the branches like juicy bombs and you decide that mothers are like fruit unbruised unwashed and perfect something that God herself keeps in her finest crystal bowl and replants in the summer mother sister friend shoot me some of that peach tea you’re drinking that sun you are soaking that air you are breathing the world needs more of you and you deserve the last taste of its summer light

When you say insomnia, people think you’ve had too much caffeine. That it’s something you’ve eaten that day. That maybe you’re just a little stressed. Those people do not have insomnia. Insomnia rolls off the tongue. It is a noun. It is four vowels and five consonance. It is staring at your ceiling at four o’clock in the morning praying to God that maybe you’ll sleep tonight. Insomnia is knowing ahead of time that you aren’t going to sleep tonight. It is drinking four cups of coffee at 1:30 in the morning because your eyelids are so heavy they feel like anvils are holding them down. It is seeing shapes and figures in the dark that aren’t there. Insomnia is dying a little inside every time you see the sunrise. It is watching the moon reach it’s pinnacle and sink beneath the earth. Insomnia is your mind working at the speed of light and taking sixty years. Insomnia is running a triathlon without training. It is wondering how long your body can take the stress before folding in on itself. It is wondering what the hell is wrong with you that you can’t function like a normal person. Insomnia is taking pills that almost make your waking nightmares look like children’s play compared to your sleeping nightmares. Insomnia is having waking nightmares. It isn’t the inability to focus. It isn’t easily fixed. It isn’t something you deal with. It isn’t caffeine or something you ate. Insomnia isn’t just a noun. It’s a disease.

In the dimly lit chamber, we set the scene. An owner and his pet, a game of primal and prey. She kneels like an eager dog, a collar around her neck. He stomps his feet and keeps her obedience at play. The owner, like a magician, keeps tricks up his sleeve. He wants his pet to learn— to be his student and please. Commanding her to crawl, to fetch and beg. Waiting for him to call her a good little pet. She barks and whimpers, a puppy in passion. Spins three times and licks her master’s feet without a whine. The pet surrenders to her master’s might. She delivers his sturdy leather boots in a straight line. With a flick of the whip, the pet curls in elation. Her master chuckles at her sounds of temptation. Submitting to the cynicism of ******* and discipline. She is flogged like a plebeian, forgetting she’s a citizen. Pet and master, a bond so strong. The two are bound by zeal, craving one another. She wallows in the comfort of her belly rubs and treats. And runs around with a rush of red in color. She goes through treacherous training. And yelps if she’s ever caught complaining. Waiting for a tasteful gift: the eternity collar. When she is ready, he puts it on with honor.

You know, there's always a song that takes me back To a year, so long before It's not always a top ten song That hits my very core It just grabs me and transports me Back in time while standing still It might take me to a good place Release a memory I should **** But, my soundtrack is different It's not just music in my mind There's sounds that make my playlist up Sounds of a different kind A baseball smacking leather God, that sets me free Some good, some bad, some coaching Some involve my ******* up knee The click on every eight track When it switches channels to play on Brings back those early mornings when the house cleaning was done But, music, yes the music makes a large part of my list Some take me back to dances And the girls I never kissed The good songs stretch my senses Make me smell things from the past The memories still linger While the music didn't last Sirens, car wrecks, yelling Have their place on my list too It's not music to most people It made my list though, who knew? A sound as small as raindrops Take me back to a morning when I stood on line with a hundred others Brave women and brave men Cornwallis, Nova Scotia rain and U2 take me on a track To basic training on the east coast Wow, that's 25 years back A car crash and a siren Takes me to when I met my wife This was on the television when Princess Di, she lost her life So, my soundtrack is eclectic It's not just music fuels my trips It might be a golf ball bouncing That takes me through a time warp slip A song, that's just too easy Everyone has one of those But, can you travel back, oh, 30 years When someone blows their nose? There's more sounds that effect me But, those I think I'll hide I will write about them later And I will take you on that ride In 50 years of living Lots of sounds have hit my ears We'll sit and chat about them One day over a few beers....

I get mad when i think about my last relationship. I GET MAD WHEN I CANT FIND MY KEYS I get mad when people drive slow, like they have nowhere to go.
