"toothed" poems
flex and perspire my darling would you mind a small suffering for craven kisses to have your dark fig **** and drenching ***** stroked with a tickling finger lingering and strong hands around your sweetly curved throat that shunt the breath to yield willingly for sharp-toothed nibbles with surprise tongue whipping? will you present your soft belly and cupping ******* for dark cruelties that excite beyond tabulation will you present yourself with smiles and goddess leg show sobbing for feral pink spires gleaming while quivering thighs turn hot red from the slap of the leather strap splitting stings? will tears of love mix in wild berry utterance and flashing spitfire’s tongue? are you made for this? your every whimper an invitation like an open pink gate do you need the saint of dark desires to rescue you from banal dim-witted all american in and out? do you need to drown in oceanic wave tsunamis of hot butter **** glitter, blood flooding gasms and tender aftercare? my wish that you shimmer like silver possessed by the saint of sadism popes of eros who fill you with the milk of the moon all stars that melt you into the depths of paradise and that this dark ecstasy is the only suffering you will ever know.

Loves shadows and hates fire Whisper softly my hearts desire To a cold dead moon As the old demons howl The ground in terror will tremble and shake A bloodless murderers hand Into my steaming cauldron is thrown Long toothed Blue bats wing from northern caves Mixed with enchanted grave dust stolen from the fairy land Out of my blue colored feather covered bag A tiny sticky yellow red eyed frog One shiny two horned pinching beetle That will bite no more Into the *** Three long gray hairs from a rabid dog I sing the song humans fear The notes fall upon frightened ears My words travel deadly and silently A venomous arrow into the night Laying upon my victim A fine coverlet of blindness By spell removing their sight Loves shadows and hates fire Whisper softly my hearts desire To a cold black dead moon As the old demons howl The ground in terror will tremble and shake Copyright Infringement laws Section 512(c)(3) of the U.S. Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. Shadows and Fire
there are women who love demons you can see it in their eyes like a sick hunger silence in a straight jacket smiling limbs on a pyre staring entranced whiskey blind as if marveling at a howling blood-spattered dingo in a crater seduced to wander off half-naked into a bush of thorns ********* barbed hooks for heroine kisses women on fire who believe in nothing except their atavistic compulsions they are a burning land beauty in ruin ready for the slender whip and black-toothed kisses who giggle and then plunge into an abyss i hold her like a jaw holds teeth

we are waiting for you exiled hungry with lust wanting you shimmering in blood and *** like red and creamy white ribbon ornaments so that every suffering makes you shiver just so be brave little girl it will hurt like Dracula's kiss pains pleasure pleasures pain enough spice to burn enough addiction to beg every sting and gleaming bite an ****** perfectly sexacuted until your body gives out like a fluttering martyr and then we will take you at last like a million black toothed lechers

Waiting
Lone leatherback cruises up from the deep, pausing on the fragile reef to feast ancient eyes upon the show, a bright parade laid out below butterfly couples paired for life, graceful angels in black and white stripe brilliant clowns and their toxic lovers, a plodding gang of giant groupers puffers bob like comic balloons, humble gobies on every menu beaked parrotfish grinding the coral down, in the ears a constant sound cowfish blowing puckered kisses, sea stars catching fishy wishes white-tipped, hammerhead, tiger sharks, triggerfish mean bite worse than their bark untamed unicorns too wild to ride, dogfish snapping, biting alongside coral trout color-shifting fools, attracting ladies in dull-hued schools **** headed wrasse rumbling through, thick lips mumbling go get a room sea horses nod in labyrinth caves, razor-toothed eels lying in wait if tentacled embrace should be your fate, nudibranchs will light the way to a place of bliss, none of this can exist, without the builders coral and algae bewildered, the ways of man egotistical rising ocean temperatures, carbon emissions, and el Niño victim of abundant greed, say goodbye to the Great Barrier Reef so massive is this magical place, one can see it from outer space astronauts witness its demise, ninety-percent barren, bleached bone white.

Rust downing like bayed menstrual blood-- booming steel walls...a rattling sanitation truck. Housewarming...'the rough beast' in fetal orbit...nay-toothed in squalor. Whose gummy roar shall presage the audacity of all places, that call forth houses!!!

I know you.
In this park there are birds atop ice cakes stiff mittened kids, cold nosed and half froze they slide on paths of glass, toward home. A small stream cuts through this place, black water humming with coots and ducks. Long toothed icicles waiting to impale the earth. Beneath our feet, we crack and shatter tiny frozen ponds, revealing muddied blades of grass, green as in summer. A myriad of birds in the sun, come to puff and quiver, but soon the mountain clouds will come to shroud the day, the sky so cold, a frost in grey and silver.

Winter park
sometimes when i am trapped inside my own mind and feel like i’m drowning in the taste of air, suddenly i am eight years old years, bobbing up and down in my wimpy life jacket my legs unsupported and there is still a chip on my shoulder a mile wide. sometimes i am still the five year old who balled her eyes out when her parents accidentally forgot and were late picking her up from preschool, sometimes i am still sixteen years old and in love with you sometimes i am a person i never thought i’d manage to grow into, sometimes i am a person i’ve yet to become.    i am juxtaposition of a thousand different versions of myself. i am equally the eight year old girl still afraid of the water as i am the almost-adult you so naively believed to be fearless, my self-assurance a really good halloween costume. i am a newborn at the same time as i am frail ninety year old grandmother. i am brave and i am terrified and i am naive and i am jaded and i am clean and i am ruined; i am a blank slate and i have been scribbled all over, my skin is smooth and untouched my skin has laughter lines and stretch marks. i am the creator and i am the destroyer, i am everything and nothing at all. i am the ocean and i am the desert. my lungs are failing as i’m breathing fine, and i can see the end and the beginning in equal clarity. sometimes i’m too old for my skin, weary like i’ve lived a thousand lives already and sometimes i am four years old with my knees hugged to my chest. sometimes we are two and sometimes we are twenty, sometimes we were nine and sometimes we are ninety. we are young and dumb and reckless at the same time as we are old and wise and careful. sometimes my father is still a gap-toothed five year old and my mother is still a tired old woman with shaking hands, and my brother is still an angry teenager with a bad hair cut. we are existing simultaneously and growing up is just getting really good at pretending that you’ve got your **** all figured out when you still feel like a lonely middle-schooler without a date to the mixer, alone in the middle to gymnasium floor. but that’s the thing, isn’t it? when you are cut open, when you are bleeding, when you have gaping holes in your nervous system your flesh heals over it scars, brand new. we are bleeding and we we are healed, we are ******* up and we are doing just fine.

pinecones are childhood summers spent tripping over the syllables of dense forests folded somewhere between real world Europe and my very real imagination, nestled against each other on bookshelves made of pinewood - a childhood game of hide and go seek pressed in photo albums where a version of me lived; a version of me who delighted my mother and father, a version who to me remains a stranger - smiling gap toothed, shoes in snow boots, sticky fingers pressing pine cones against her nose - the present, a fragrance; the future, a rolling pine forest. pinecones are what the years between 17 and 19 felt like in perennial wanderlust, soul spliced into shards trying to make sense of everything I felt and everything I thought; everything I needed and everything I still want. pine cones perfume the edges of a dream dipped in the streams and stories of far-off lands, pine cones are the crutches of a crippled mind still building a new home for itself in the basements of other people’s hearts. pinecones are platforms which I danced from, leaping limber, slaying fear, the win always near; pine cones are a reminder that while a man can break his shoulder trying to tear one from the tree, the true mark of bravery lies in how well you can break free. pine cones are the skeletons upon which hang the colourless drapes of my future before stepping into galactic puddles that splash colour all over every unmade plan, memories’ strands shining technicolour through translucent skin - the touch of your fingers no longer feel like sins. pine cones are young green and supple, seeds of love lust and chance encounters that blaze into fiery shades of yellows and oranges, every colour turning a tinge darker, a daily time marker; pine cones are what remain, dark and unyielding after a lifecycle of fires starting and dying within the embers of consciousness.

the priest, whose tomato face looked like it might explode under collar tension, gave the valedictory at the friday night execution the yellow-toothed, combover'd serial killer buckled in electric chair kept staring at the door, expecting an ally to crawl in late but not too late the mother of one of the victims rattled on about how she didn't care that the killer had an allergy to the anesthetic used in lethal injection      he's going to die either way     what's it matter? buzz of fly    crack of rolled program against empty folding chair (yes, there were programs, and whoever laid them out knew their typography) buzz of fly raised upward, toward the black, magma-cooled ceiling audience chin up, pupils circled fly as the priest droned on about everlasting life like a Paul Simon song from his youth like a catcher's mitt from his youth like a youth from his youth the boyfriend of one of the mothers of one of the victims said he was hungry    pancakes sound good, don't they? I love it when syrup gets on the bacon, you know? love that. a pudgy guard with bleary eyes and 12 a.m. shadow rolled his index finger   lowered his brow, telling the priest to wrap it up   so the priest wrapped it up by reading the names of the victims Tara Barnes, 17, Rachel Lythe, 10, Julie McPherson, 13, Serenity Strongman, 15, and Mary Beth Williamson, 13 the priest said something about judgement as the boyfriend of the mother of one of the victims took another swat at the fly                       missed any last words? the priest asked where's James? the killer asked, he was supposed to be here did you guys give him the right time? the guard nodded to a lab coat by a black box then a hiss then a hum then an inhale the first jolt of alternating current for instantaneous brain death hard to tell if they succeeded in that for the second jolt came only a moment later    this shock's aim to fatally damage the internal organs, overstimulate the heart and the killer's face looked like a horse's leg then an exhale then a hum then a hiss and the killer's face looked like the crinkled skinmemory of a cicada it was late   most of the best restaurants already closed but we could go to that diner off 63rd, the boyfriend of the mother of one of the victims, said

To: Sarah Joyce Crimson                                                     8th July 1943                                                   A man in a gray suit has captured my heart, mother Along with the tie, of course Surrounding plants would've died At his gaze and grace Armored charm and wide toothed smile His last name could've might as well been poise   I don't know what it is about him, mother But his gentle crinkled eyes certainly isn't   His voice is as flattering as the lullaby you once sang The tone itself symbolizes warmth and stability Undiscovered treasure in the midst of all volumes It is home I feel closest to when I catch a glimpse of it in my ear I don't know whether to feel astonished or quivered By all means, that'd be deemed as eerie But you once said when a man one day turned my cheeks bright pink It sure could only mean one thing It is unreliably evident not to notice me blush It is even more apparent not to notice his blunt stare Sending chilly shivers down my spinal cords Activating fondness I'd never in a million years imagine I'd sense If only you were here to see for yourself How proud I'd make you, indeed You said one day I'll be able to marry, mother Well, this day isn't as far planned as it once seemed                                                                         From: Christine Louise Crimson

You may think Halloween's great But it's the one holiday that I really hate All the little sweet-toothed children Always forget to brush their teeth Even the one's that normally floss When it's me vs. the candy, I've traditionally lost Oh Halloween, I despise you And all the cavities you bring The SweetTarts and the lollipos Caramel apples with nuts on top Hershey's and Reese's Skittles and all their sugary pieces M&M;'s and Snickers Why don't we just give out stickers?! Jolly Ranchers and Gummi Bears Instant cavities, everywhere! So when October comes to an end I wait for the patients they're sure to send Filling after filling after filling Children crying while I'm drilling I don't like it, despite the business it provides On the night of October 31st, I always hide Not wanting to fuel the tragedy that always ensues I hate Halloween, I really, really do.

Dentist's Lament
you, you little lighthouse of love your gap-toothed smile sent out over a bowl of brown butter porridge guides me away from the reef of workday despair. your hand in mine so small trusting and divine brings me back to the path and out of the dark woods your cheery wave goodbye keeps me swimming through the murk of the tedious day and that welcome cuddle at the end of the day brings me back to my home harbour... you, you little lighthouse of love my bearings my light on the hill shine on, shine on

lighthouse
The loving puddle in the gutter off market street-- the one that fills with dirt and **** and damp newspaper, plastic soda cup, strange indecipherable Chinese pamphlets with bleeding characters. She smiles at the sun and renders its visions on her face, and with great tension attempts to demonstrate her willingness, her blushing consent to being totally subsumed by its whims. Of course she trembles at the diurnal stampede of feet, but is not afraid-- for she too speaks in eternity. She has evaporated before-- she has kissed the incessant sky over Marrakesh in the soft morning and dreams of the sparkling mountainsides in the night, when she is divided by callous rubber tires or cast below by competing distant rains. Yet she has always found her way back home; Nestled in the subtle indentation of road besides the brickway near Battery. "Dewdrop, let me cleanse in your brief sweet waters . . . These dark hands of life" It was one of the waning days of winter, in the blurred haze of rains, when we left the coast and began our journey home. As she drove, I watched the pebbled streaks roll across the window into great vertical streams, to be cast off indistinct along the stationary road. Upon all our sides, Even the black-toothed mountain tops lost their grandiose summits into the fog. Off the road, next to the sagging remains of a gas station, a man sat beneath the naked fist of an old willow tree. I write about waters
The loving puddle in the gutter off market street-- the one that fills with dirt and **** and damp newspaper, plastic soda cup, strange indecipherable Chinese pamphlets with bleeding characters. She smiles at the sun and renders its visions on her face, and with great tension attempts to demonstrate her willingness, her blushing consent to being totally subsumed by its whims. Of course she trembles at the diurnal stampede of feet, but is not afraid-- for she too speaks in eternity. She has evaporated before-- she has kissed the incessant sky over Marrakesh in the soft morning and dreams of the sparkling mountainsides in the night, when she is divided by callous rubber tires or cast below by competing distant rains. Yet she has always found her way back home; Nestled in the subtle indentation of road besides the brickway near Battery. "Dewdrop, let me cleanse in your brief sweet waters . . . These dark hands of life" It was one of the waning days of winter, in the blurred haze of rains, when we left the coast and began our journey home. As she drove, I watched the pebbled streaks roll across the window into great vertical streams, to be cast off indistinct along the stationary road. Upon all our sides, Even the black-toothed mountain tops lost their grandiose summits into the fog. Off the road, next to the sagging remains of a gas station, a man sat beneath the naked fist of an old willow tree. you stranger, you becoming stranger, your voice the heart-beat spindle’s threadbare pull, pulsating in green-light chorus, washing me in and out of the shore of an intangible reality that i think you not only live in, but that you’ve created for yourself, cloth of blood and crystalline light and layer upon layer of memory that may or may not have happened. i dream of having my own palace in the inverted sky; i’d be the taste that you try to swallow away, the flickering guilt of the candle you forgot to blow out when you left the room— you left me in the light. i’d coax that tendril of half-thought half-baked slightly-worn feeling, weaving it through the syllables of my fingertips. the drumming of my hands across impatient countertops would keep the time, and you’d grow in rhythm. i’d smile, the smug, gap-toothed knowledge that comes from molding the inarticulate summation of yourself, you, who i have never met. our eyes would meet across the infinite cliff of a space between words, and that would be enough. i’d like to be able to leave the sound of my voice in the crook of your elbow, jarring your step as you try to look past the horizon, and only see my tower of words— i want to be your babel, baby.

Call me by another name. Call me waspish, or boyish, or fountain-mouthed. Prate about the crooked, curved curls of my red-ribbon tongue. Whisper myths down spidered-ice hallways about the melted wax love games fixed between dust-dressed candlesticks, and the unfaithful rumors of wine-stained table cloths. Call me by another name. Call me button-eyed, and hollow, and brittle-garden crucified; Bind my face with burlap and replace my spine with a wood-splintering post; dry my veins gold so that my flannel fetters in the tornado-dry breath of fraying hay. I'll fight off autumn winds and the gossip of crows. Don't fuse my footsteps to the echos of Lightning Bearers and Stilt-legged Shadows; Fasten my shoelaces to the anchor dreams of drowning cannonballs where I will only spell stories with the sharp skin of coral reefs. Call me by another name. Call me typewriter-toothed, or backwash, or eight-legged. Just prescribe me a name that I can live up to.

The Letdown.
Only half watching the Sochi Olympics and      wondering why all of a sudden ice hockey without brawling gap-toothed players       seemed so captivating as the puck was blocked effortlessly by a graceful skating illusion       did I realize that behind that face mask and and billowing raven hair was a bright-red                      lipsticked beautiful face that totally shook my floor. In my state of inattention I found myself attracted to a hockey player Scared the hell out if me until I realized that it was women's competition r ~ 9Feb14

Women on Ice
FISHTHOUGHTBLOOD JON BOLDUC When I was a boy, Father taught me to ice-fish. Here’s a memory; Father drills a hole, the auger bounces, vibrates, roars, shaving ice– soon the blade connects with winter water, –the engine fades off. I fish floating ice chunks from the hole with a skimmer while Father sets the trap, ties the sinker, and hooks the minnow thru its side. He lowers the line gently into the fishhole; the bait plunges to the lakebed. Father reels up the slack, pitches the three legged trap above the exposed black water and we wait for a trout, or a snarled toothed pickerel. Father, I have learned to fish for thoughts with an ice–trap. When the flag springs up, I reel slippery ideas up from deep darkness. As they flop, I pull the hook out from their lips, knock them in the head, throw them in a pail; gut them, I spill fishthoughtblood on the white snow. After the low sun sets, My friends and I fry caught fishthoughts in my dim cabin. Hughes, Plath, Ginsberg, and Eliot talk around the fireplace as the pan sizzles, as the oil jumps. Soon we feast on flakey poemfillets; we talk about the dark english rain, the crowded zoos, electroshock therapy, bald mediocrity. After we have eaten and finished the wine, and all my friends have gone home I look down at empty plates and somehow, “the page is printed.”

FISHTHOUGHTBLOOD
In my mind, as infinite as the heavens, I am but a starry eyed stranger Wandering through her shimmering realms Beneath an ebony sky, laced with crimson, Beclouded with spiraling sprays of stardust A child, a warrior, a saint full of sin, I pass through the vapour of my shadowselves Layers falling away like rotten tree bark Exposing the rings within, like fingerprints, Looping coils of time, bending but unbroken Somewhere in the distance a dragonfly dances on the surface of the water, Unknowingly admired by a sharp toothed Chinook As another lost soul pulls back on a well worn syringe, Seated on a broken toilet, slowly leaking across the scarred, yellow linoleum. While a mother in Africa nurses a starving baby from her malnourished breast, A stomach ravaged by dysentery, Lips cracked and bleeding beneath the relentless heat of the sun, And a pimple faced pop star sips champagne from a crystal goblet, Wearing eight hundred dollar sunglasses and basking on a beach in Barbados, Where they will spend more on hotels and liquor for a week than most families will earn in wages all year. I close my eyes to imagine a world where only dragonflies sip champagne, and people ACTUALLY care about one another. But the former seems more likely than the latter... So I return to my inner sanctuary of dreams... And once again, I am infinite.

This valley wood is pledged To the set shape of things, And reasonably hedged: Here are no harpies fledged, No rocs may clap their wings, Nor gryphons wave their stings. Here, poised in quietude, Calm elementals brood On the set shape of things: They fend away alarms From this green wood. Here nothing is that harms - No bulls with lungs of brass, No toothed or spiny grass, No tree whose clutching arms Drink blood when travellers pass, No mount of glass; No bardic tongues unfold Satires or charms. Only, the lawns are soft, The tree-stems, grave and old; Slow branches sway aloft, The evening air comes cold, The sunset scatters gold. Small grasses toss and bend, Small pathways idly tend Towards no fearful end.

This poem is going to be a lie He tells himself Writhing in tantalizing filaments The bright asphyxiation drawing him closer and closer To this An ideal Of the perfect truth Told out in unwritten song Painfully typed words A clever shower of meteors Belittling the dangerous craters on the surface The danger of tripping and dying Not withstanding what we know to be A falicy My multilingual interpretation of her feelings Old testimonies heard in the court Of the already guilty This poem is a complete distortion of facts My trivial response to empowered individuals Standing on my Adam's Apple And beating on my lungs like drums Rhythm meaning honor And the attention of the onlookers meaning The inviting glow Of the fireplace. She sat down next to That night That town That unfamiliar castigating of a child not belonging to You Or her Or the abyss "Unbelonging" "Inbelonging" Not. Yours. The wordsmith falters Checking his math Calculation, equation, kiss on the cheek For luck for death For the noose to slip, lovingly And gently to the ground as the trap door swings open A great, open toothed smile Laughing at silence BARBARIC to interrupt such delicacy Straining to look into my eyes She whispers low I want to find a home...
