the seat was empty but the guy sitting next to it looked like an ******* so i elected to stand and celebrate the vacant air of non-assholery, next to the doors the atmosphere seems almost more friendly but the celebration was to be short-lived as the cabin was soon filled out at the next stop non-natives, they were, mostly settling into the space quickly, without fuss—without hesitation already looking ahead to the next part of their journey with a disquieting look of weariness and anxiety a not too uncommon look on locals as well but the locals were different they had their techno-gadgets to distract themselves with whereas the non-natives had to content themselves with staring at the urban scenery outside or at themselves which often offers very little comfort, i must say interesting how everybody tries to find their own space in a place which doesn’t actually offer much the bell then rings, and a distinctly un-Singaporean voice announced i have arrived at my destination so i made my exit, eager to start the next part of my journey ready to embrace the future where we are no longer judged by the colour of our skin only by the things that we possess

Empty seat
Today the Singaporean sun shines Down, to the commuters at the bus stop Each with unique human storylines It casts their shadows long, past coffee shops Through, the window panes of old high-rise flats And trees: branches, flowers, leaves. Shades shifting Freely, on abandoned park benches and alley cats Comfortably, filling forms consistently prancing Beautifully, as it turns the sky pink And the urban landscape is coated in gold Simply, more so, than one would think From the days of our youth, to the time we grow old

Singaporean Sun
Feed your soul Don't forget your tummy Travel back to golden days with The Adventurous Gula Melaka In a jug-shaped sampan Coming into Singaporean hands As they beat the scorching summer sun With the cold winter snow Decorated with spectrum of colours All in a cup

I've always been in a hunt on a perfect teh-peng. *Toastbox's & Ya Kun’s are my favorite.* I never drink that perfect combination of iced tea, sugar and milk since I got back here. I cross around the city, I went to almost every Singaporean's and Malaysian's restaurant in here, *But nothing can compare to Yakun's Or even Toastbox's.* I know, It's only a glass of milk tea, What makes it a big deal. I spent 3 years living in Singapore. & almost every day I got a glass of teh-peng everywhere I go. & 3 years for me is enough to learn and know which teh-peng is the best; which is the worst. Now, it's already been a year since I left Singapore. & truth to be told, I already forgot how it tastes. I already forgot how it always makes my day. How can you miss something, that you already forgot how it was?
