I am alone. With just some people I'm moving on. Some talk less, some talk a lot. I don't know if they are friends or not. I am alone. With some fears I'm moving on. Some are scary, some are not. I don't know if they are real or not. I am alone. With some deep wounds I'm moving on. Some hurt more, some hurt less. I don't know if they will heal or not I am alone. With a fake smile I'm moving on. Sometimes looks good, sometimes not. I don't know if it works or not. I am alone. With some burdens I'm moving on. Some are huge, some are little. I don't know if I will repay or not. I am alone With some secrets I'm moving on. Some can save me, some can lead me to death. I don't even know my remaining breaths. -Paras Bajaj #PoetrybyParas Instagram : @mr.parasbajaj

I AM ALONE
See them standing on the podium of promises Tickling us to wed them into power As we stand under the burning sun, sweaty as ever All ears to their flowered words of which they caress And powdered our minds with. They donate maggi, salt, wears and the root of all evil, To further blind our minds and instinct. Like goats following a hand with a palm fruit, We chased them with high hopes to the polls, Like Esau of old we repay their donation with our votes. Their desires were met, now in power At serious battle against their promises, Our faith getting lean, our hopes bleed in response to their policies. The opposition jubilant for the failure of the electorates. Soon, they awoke into reality, spur to abort incumbent reign. Some took to bombs, guns, cutlasses, few to the streets. The opposition soldiers are thugs, always hungry to **** The masses weapons are their mouth, placards, And solidarity songs, they walk and sing. They say when elephants fight the grasses suffer I wonder who are the elephants or the grasses indeed. A  place that suppose to be our home now a battle field Where everyone fights for self survival Forgetting the unborn, our toddlers, our heroes past. It is high time we talked and sack the thugs But who will moderate Who will faithfully give audience, who will sincerely talk? The elite, the elected seems like they are war ready They have well set up their political troops A war they won't stand to fight But escape through thinning air off our sight. In a molding  state Pigs dare to preach sanity In a world of questions, ignorance remain the worst cancer And the apex poverty. Let not fold our hands and live to die in this doom If your lips are scared, let your pen speak. Let not throw in the towel Until we justfully elapse the reign of the unwanted in one peace.

Help me be humble and modest Lord. Bless the work that I do and let me do good things not so people notice me, rather I do them with a pure heart so as to give glory and honor to you and to help those who are in need. Help me remember the good feeling and the reward I get by helping those in need, especially those who cannot repay me. The gift of their smile, their gratitude and the knowledge that I have made a difference and potentially changed someone's life is a reward far greater, more permanent, and longer lasting than any amount of money or accolades could ever have. Allow me not to become pompous and inflated when I am successful or praised. Remind me when I am tempted to do so that the gift I have been given comes first from you. Help me also to be appropriately gracious and thankful when I am praised or rewarded and keep me cognizant of the fact that, while it is ok to be rewarded for your work, it should never be the main reason for our work.

Humble Prayer
Alcoholism took my father away from me. I watched him destroy his life from the age of five. When Austin left us- I watched his life shatter completely. I started to plink away on the piano. Then he started to pick up the pieces. He got his life together, remarried, and is trying to repay a lost childhood. So I continue to play. Now, I'm watching both my sister's life come to crumbles at the lips of a bottle. So I play louder. One has gone to rehab for drugs and alcohol. She is getting better- back on her feet. The other has moved out and cut off communication with our Father. So I keep playing. I'll write a sonng or two for you- and I'll wait for you to come home. All I've ever known alcohol to do- is destroy. And people wonder why the smell nauseates me..

To be a mother is not an easy task, yet you do it proudly everyday no matter what is asked. You have turned your baby into a beautiful young lady. You were there for me since the very beginning and saved me countless tears. The pushy and wise advice you gave will carry me through the years. With my every mistake or wrongful deed, you were always there to understand. You put no limits on my dreams or anything else I wish to do. You never forget to say you care or that you love me too. The smile and tears upon your face when I achieve provides me with more value in my heart then you’d ever believe. There is no other person that will shape my heart the way you’ve done, your job finished perfectly for your precious daughters and son. We have had a rocky road through triumph and catastrophe, hard time and despair, but not a single moment of time of not having a wonderful mother there. You have always put in your last with love and my whole life is not enough time for me to repay you. We always put our disagreements to the side and manage to make it through. I know that my teen years have driven you crazy but you have guided me with assurance along the way. You have given me comfort and certainty with every breath I take within the day. Your little girl is growing up but your baby girl will always remain deep inside me. There are not enough words that can thank you for everything you have helped me through emotionally and physically. I have my whole future ahead of me and you are the women that has lead me and guided me towards the proper path. Thank you for being not only my mom, but my best friend.

To my mortal enemy, All lies and delusions you have carried so far are all but for nothing, Deceiving you took from me what was a part of my fading heart once. You are the only one I will never forgive, not until the night has been swallowed by the abyss and the sun is no longer rising in this hell. What was the purpose of your selfish doing ? Was it greed or lust ? Purified from all emotions but fury, I will let this fire rampage forever The soul resented by life, creeps around in the somber fields, Can you see it ? Of course your ignorant eyes haven't grasped the single truth yet, you cannot see anything, so keep wandering blindly, Aimless and with displeasure we shall meet in the distorted dark, I got even rid of the love in my chest, so that I may awaken as who I am now..if by chance I were to forgive you, could I be myself again ? No! I don't want you to rest in your deepest sleep, I will show you the same nightmares until your dried tears turn into elusive blood. George your amusement and be ruined, someday you will repay, So be as it may, my courtesy must remain, I offer you my darkest passion, until you reveal that sweet soul of yours that dies. Hey, are you watching ? Yours truly, Pure Furies ~ Umi

Are you Watching ?
I was thousand kilometers away from you, when a stranger bumped into me he asked me where I was heading off he asked me if I'm lost by the dead end I remember answering that nothing to worry, as I used to go solo and travel alone 'though he offered me help, I refused it's the kind of kindness I can never repay Years passed by until it comes to my senses, how could I ever grasp his helping hand while your fingerprints are still all over my skin? while your voice still resonates down to my toes? Youth was all we ever had, and no matter how far I've come to walk away every time I wander it goes directly to you —I am running in circle

Running in Circle
I've got a list of things I have to pay and a list of people I owe and favours I'll never be able to repay. I can't feel love or happiness or pain I just watch everything happening and it's so tragic because amidst our progress  nothing has ever really changed.

Let’s come And have a fun With numbers To strengthen your balance sheet! Let’s count....... ‘How many Kilogram of Oxygen you inhale per day?’ ‘How many litres of water and energy required for the food you consume per day? How much ..................? ....................... Let’s calculate.... “Multiply the already estimated amount By the total days you already spend on this planet.” How much .........? .............................. Let’s assess the cost.......... “Multiply the amount of Oxygen, Water and Energy with their respective present market price.” How much.........? .............................. Let’s incorporate everything in your balance sheet, Repay it to nature and get the tax clearance from the Planet .......

Balance Sheet and Tax clearance
I could never pen the words without the inspiration. You have always been the  silent partner behind the madness and I know many will read this wrong. Sweetheart I am a world of trouble and a sea of regret . But your presence amongst the insanity has remained my light no matter how lost I was you remained. And no words will ever repay the debt I certainly owe. The voice that laughed on the other end of a conversation when I found only darkness instead . I owe you everything as now I find my place . I know words are my path and you knew them first . We are all lost in some way but no words can do justice to the person that I know beyond this page . Sweetheart I seldom let anyone in but we know the truths beyond the storms in this life . This debt I can never repay but these words I can certainly write. This is what I leave to you. The soul is my work and this yet another goodnight. No flowers to wither and no fruit to spoil. Trace it's more than words but all I can give for now . Hold this true from a joker and a best friend that lingers in conversation that which can so easily be cast upon this page. A wink and a thought shared on yet another long distance call. No words will ever describe what you mean to me . I guess I will say nothing and just let the credits roll . We know are truths and that's good enough for now. Sincerely John

Fame, like a wayward girl, will still be coy To those who woo her with too slavish knees, But makes surrender to some thoughtless boy, And dotes the more upon a heart at ease; She is a Gypsy,—will not speak to those Who have not learnt to be content without her; A Jilt, whose ear was never whispered close, Who thinks they scandal her who talk about her; A very Gypsy is she, Nilus-born, Sister-in-law to jealous Potiphar; Ye love-sick Bards! repay her scorn for scorn; Ye Artists lovelorn! madmen that ye are! Makeyour best bow to her and bid adieu, Then, if she likes it, she will follow you.

On Fame
Dearest Mother like no other You always make me wonder I don't know where I'd be without thee Cause obviously without you, there'd be no me Despite our different tastes and views You always know what to choose Irresponsible, stubborn or childish as I may seem At the end of the day, a smile you'd beam Melting away all my mistakes Telling me it's part of what it takes I know you're struggling a lot Yet I'm too weak (maybe even too stupid) to give it a shot To try to help you out Sometimes I'd like to shout To the wind, hoping it'll answer All I can do is include you in my prayers A simple act of gratitude wont suffice For everything you've sacrificed Someday I'll repay all your efforts But for now I can be the one you can go to for comfort Thank you for your unconditional love You're the closest to an angel that we have

Sung to the tune of: I'll Be Home For Christmas Oh, I got fudge for Christmas, from my daughter-in-law. I whined and begged, til I got my way, and I'm not sharing it. Poems come from our inner pain, Bleeding out and down the drain, Pulling readers into our woe, Chilling hearts like falling snow. I will rebel against this trend And bring my whining to an end By listing blessings yet untold While I am well and growing old. First, let me thank the Lord above For giving wife and children that I love, And then for parents, growing old Who gave me principles to hold. And then for friends for staying true Across the years and distance, too. For work I've always found rewarding And health to work from early morning. For homes I've run to, needing rest, And roads to travel in the West, And opportunities to fly the distant breeze: Canada and China, West Coast and Belize. For clothing and for food in easy reach, For education and for students to teach, For restful nights and active days, For knowing where to send my praise.... Forgive me, Lord, ungrateful as I often am, And thank you, Father, once again, For grace and mercy, joy and peace And time to thank you for life's lease. Impossible for me to e'er repay, My thankfulness goes up today.

Thankful!
When my world was collapsing, You came as a pillar, When my dreams were fading, You came as a light, When my thoughts became blank, You filled it in with color, When my smile started dying, You became the reason for me to rejoice, When tears in my eyes overflowed, You bought solace in them, When I started feeling lonely, You bought life back in me, When my mood became emotional, You made me practical, When I missed terribly my people You mimicked each one for me, When darkness came near me, You bought brightness with your presence, When I felt it to be end of road, You showed me new path, new goal, When today I think of you, So many emotions surge in my heart, Love, Gratitude, Guide, Philosopher, The best one though is last to come, Coz’ I make you my dearest friend, You have given me so much I can never repay, But promise I make, to be always happy, Promise I make, that I will always smile As in my Smile lies my dearest friends Smile. ...... SMILE.....!!
I wish I could be a super-hero. I wish I could be your super-hero. But most of all I would want to be your Bee-Man. Flying over continents and oceans, over forests and gardens, until I found you, my Rose Queen, my super-powers would detect your pink petals from far off. Down I would fly, drawn by the fragrance of you to the exquisite beauty of your blushing petals silkily emerging from the heart of you, unfolding for me, welcoming me to your secret treasure. Gently but firmly my long, loving tongue would press between those dew-moistened folds, unable to resist the perfume overcoming me. Tugged in by your intoxicating scent, your nectar I would sup until I could drink no more. Then transforming the sweet nectar you had so willingly granted me, I would create my rich, creamy honey, especially for you, so willingly penetrate between your soft petals, find your hidden depths, and to repay you for the delight your fragrant nectar had given me, magically inject my honey, into the essential heart of you, until my store was empty, and we could both feel the most exquisite joy of all. I hope that you dream of it as I do, that you wish it also, and that some day our dreams can come together. And if you and I could come together in ecstasy, it would be the most perfect fulfilment possible of my desire.

I dedicate these words to you,      my saving grace you've pulled me through...           Hopefully, I finally can repay,                all the amazing gifts that you have brought my way... Smile for me,      I know each one...           Moved to tears, I am, watching you with your son,                Gram know's what I see inside,                     among the love you fight to hide... I love your lips,      my **** man...           MacGuyver, I'm your biggest fan,                You try to keep me at arms length...                     I admire all your inner strength. I've learned from you the truth of things,      then you've helped me through the pain truth brings...           My darkest days, you shine your light,                     Remember when we laughed all night? You are a funny mother ******      your my lollipop, and I'm your sucker...           Because of you, I'm not alone,                when I'm with you, no matter where, I'm home... I'm grateful for the time you spend,      with me...           You are truly my best friend.                Heidi Shavill                     2009

To My Best Friend
You’ll take, the things which you are due Forget, the things you’ve come to know Accept, what we deem is true Repay, the debt which you owe Obey, the laws which we’ve set for you Do not stray, from the lines of your confine Conform, to our reality so new Those boundaries, mark your life as mine Explain, the way that you must feel The weak submitting to their stronger foes Being forced, to bow down and  kneel Understand? How life really goes?

I looked to the stars to see what I could find, and I sighed with exasperation at the wonders in sight. For lo, behold, there were more than millions, and poor old me, choosing one just wasn’t an option. If you gaze at them all at once, you notice there is a sky, but if you pick solely one, you find yourself willing to fly. One of these twinkling wonders might be you someday, for the world knows whom it should repay. Focus on one tree, you lose sight of the forest.
But look at the forest, you lose sight of your tree. Find your star, hunt it down, and you just might, you just might, you just might, absorb that glittering gold glimmer of light. Then its all uphill from there, as you shoot up, and reach forward and outward, and suddenly, you fall back down. But this time, you have your star, so climbing all the way up, it can’t be that far. After hauling and hiking, you reach the top. and as you gaze at the bottom, you start to wonder. Wonder about what? I cannot say. But you’re at the top, you have to stay. Since it’s you who made it all the way. L’appel du vide, you start to sway. Then it hits you. It hits you hard. Back you go! as you go down. Down again, down on your knees! But as you look in its eyes, your glittery golden glimmer lights it up, and you can’t help but notice what wasn’t there before. It cannot be, but surely, it is. A trace of affection, gone as quickly as it appears. As you get up, you swear it smiles, and when it disappears with a gust of wind, you bet on your life you heard it whisper, I’ll see you at the top, you’ll get here quicker. And you scramble up again, surefooted and strong, as music surrounds you, life’s very own song. Your ascent slows to a stop, and you look around. Many are there, whom you never found. And in the centre, who else could it be? Your very good friend, whom you mistook for an enemy. It glides towards you, and you don’t wince, Because now you know, that which you’ve known long since. Life pushes you down, not out of hate, but so you learn, to open up the gate. Now what did you learn? How can you explain? What you’ve spent years on, things almost impossible to gain. But you don’t give away the answer, it’s not yours to impart. You must help out, pick up all who’ve lost heart.

I wonder how we all have Known Strangers We don't accept when people insist But frankly, they do exist I wonder how we all have Known Strangers They once stood at your side Now, They lie and hide Even though they confide and cried I wonder how we all have Known Strangers All the thoughts of how'd they betray All the happiness they took away All the pain we suffer every day All the crying they gonna repay I wonder how we all have Known Strangers Our pride may want them dead But then a lot of things will be left unsaid. I wonder how we all have Known Strangers
