~ ⚘ ⚪ ⚘ ~ And so the Pu'erh and Jasmine Lily pearls are covered, my attention on the Phoenix Eye pearls, and I peel back the foil of a small handful. Ainhana had carefully remove the infuser and I pour in the pearls, listening as they gently hit the glass. ~ ⚘ ⚪ ⚘ ~ As soon as Ainhana places the infuser back in the tea *** I turn the sand-dial and watch the cream sands run, and the pearls steep. I dare not let it run for the full five minutes - I find the perfect brew is made in three. The pearls now unfurl, the green leaves now floating. The clear water turns into the colour of the finest champagne. ~ ⚘ ⚪ ⚘ ~ After three minutes, Ainhara pours me a cup, the aroma itself puts me more at ease. He stood fifty times his height, his palms pressed against the glass separating him from the road in their glamour; blurred images of car in their splendor – and there isn’t the familiar scent of coffee – I call this pandemonium. Nothing beats a day in a café redolent of the finest Arabica, he’d inhale deeply and recall : unroasted gives the sweetest scents of blueberries – roasted’s entirely different: fruit, sugar, perfume – They call this addiction. Mnemonic – a wind chime lost in the array of winds. “You used to be my cup of tea – I drink coffee now.” These words slip out of his dry lips, and a lone tear trickles down a milky cheek; They all say if they’ve got love, they don’t need money – And he’d say if he’s got coffee, he doesn’t need love – He calls this heaven.

*Brittle dry earth beaming with longing, For wet kisses from heavy heavens' door, In soothing rain, finds the heart’s belonging, Releasing the sweetest aroma...petrichor.* ***The mist of warm moist wafting playfully, Kissing and engulfing in a subtle unworldly spin... A feeling ensnared by the clutches of fond remembrance. Like the cadence of your breaths upon my parched skin...*** *A taste of your last dance on my fervent lips, Awoken with each drop, still makes me thirst, I lift my head, entranced by memory’s grips, Craving you, again to make my heart burst.* ***Here again...two drenched hearts encased in glass, Latent spectres melded together as they did before, Promises wrapped and bound to the gaits of the other, In eternal dance, laced with everlasting redolent petrichor...*** Dajena M rhymesmith

Petrichor (Collaboration with Dajena M...again!)
Outside, the snow is serenely falling its illuminated resplendence vying with that of the full moon suspended in the silent night sky. Inside, it is just as silent the only sounds the occasional spark and crackle of the logs in the fireplace. And two hearts harmoniously beating. Wisps of smoke coyly rise from the sandalwood incense gracefully whirling in the air like dervishes, the room redolent with the fragrance of serenity As I repose on the couch, your head upon my lap, you hold one hand against your rhythmically beating heart; while with the other I absently play with your hair. There are no thoughts, only heart thinking. There is no speech, only heart speaking. There are no words, only heart spilling. ~ You slowly rise from my lap and look through my eyes and into my soul. When I come to speak, you gently place a loving finger against my lips, whispering “shhh“ Time revolves all around us, yet within us — stillness; the silence palpable. Our souls become one with the other, with the tranquility of the night, with the gently falling snow. Our breathing falls in sync to a rhythm known only to the cosmos. At the end of our inhales, there you are. there I am. And then you speak.. three words.. Three words that contain the universe within them: “This is bliss“

Inaudible Seduction
I was with the ocean last night and your body Was its vessel, overflowing.  Words were frail, Drops indwelling about the shapeless sky, Water reaching for its own height and breath, Like touch, were as desperate letters exchanged, Endlessly read, until like loamy vellums, they Disappeared in our hands.  Inklings of tide- Pool and driftwood.                                My blood was a river that ran Its course.  Members feeding your deltas and birds Breeding where the water-russet sheds on pampas And inverness.  Eyes like wing through ever— Green, empties the fossil shell.  Fire, brimming Mountaintops that were, for countless millennia, Sleeping.  Did I mention that the earth moved? No?  Her displacement was involuntary. Then came the waterfalls, lifting throughout Time.  The scent, searching for its identity, The wave, calling to its own name— Ocean, O— cean.  And flowers, opening like galaxies In the after-light.  A universe of face and hand With hunger for salt-rain and then the cloud Burst-blue and spilt and spun more redolent, Deities, in joyous creation. I breathe, in your ocean, like a child unborn.

With cooler nights and soft warm days. quilts for the beds, days breeze welcome. We say goodbye to summer's blaze. Gold, orange and red are my Chrysanthemums, as fall doggedly leaves the desert kingdom. Soon will be gone, the light weight jackets. Leaves, will finally, dance from the trees. Goodbye to all the Farmer's Markets. While I warm my hands round a cup of hot tea, powdered sugar snow, in the hills I see. The bird bath has a coat of ice, small creatures go off and hibernate. My home is redolent with baking spice, red berries in the bushes, so ornate. It's Winters time to dominate.

EᔕᔕᕼI ~ ⚪♫⚪ ~ The kitchen's air is redolent with spices, peppers and cinnamon, all-spice and star anise, thyme and curry. The cooks are shouting orders; taking rose-silver pots and copper pans; each having the print of the Lily of Aurelinaea; from the wooden shelves, plates and bowls from the cup- boards; some are stirring soups over coal-fire stoves; others are dicing carrots, potatoes, fresh poultry and more. ~ ⚪♫⚪ ~ Esshi, in a light-green off-the-shoulder dress of rose-silk with a triple ruffle trim, lined with yellow ribbon, a thigh high slit and white lilies beadery, is speaking to the head-chef who nods. "Certainly, Lady Esshi." he says and turns to his busy staff. "Bring out the paella pans! We have orders for the Queen Mother!" "Yes, chef!" a woman says as she pulls out a rose-silver paella pan and places it on the stove. The head-chef turns to Esshi. "You need not worry, Lady Esshi," he smiles. "I will make the dishes with care." ~ ⚪♫⚪ ~ "You always do, Bael," Esshi chuckles as he washes his hands and she walks to the corner, sighing. 'My Lady...' she thinks worried. "Lady Esshi?" her thoughts are broken by a woman's voice. She turns to see a   florist behind her. *'So lost in thought, that I did not hear the door open.'* She thinks as her eyes fall on the flower vase. ~ ⚪♫⚪ ~ The vase is art noveau style; a deep emerald green with a maiden in flowing silks, her hair bejewelled with lilies. Esshi's eyes then rise to look at the flower arrangement - white lilies with lilac kisses, purple roses and several stems of lavender. "Lady Ainhara said I should bring this to you." "It's lovely," Esshi sniffs the fresh flowers. "Very beautiful! You certainly outdid yourself. It's for our young Queen, I take it?" "Yes. And Lady Ainhara said I should bring you this also." She sees her place some paper, quill and ink down and Esshi smiles.

O Thou to whom the musical white spring offers her lily inextinguishable, taught by thy tremulous grace bravely to fling Implacable death’s mysteriously sable rob from her redolent shoulders, Thou from whose feet reincarnate song suddenly leaping flameflung, mounts, inimitably to lose herself where the wet stars softly are keeping their exquisite dreams—O Love! upon thy dim shrine of intangible commemoration, (from whose faint close as some grave languorous hymn pledge to illimitable dissipation unhurried clouds of incense fleetly roll) i spill my bright incalculable soul.

*veins of my fingers in riots of blossomed colours like threads made of lilac, lavender, blues and leafs. for the blues are essences of the Elysian skies, while lilacs, lavenders and leafs were stolen from an old man's farm every dawn the sunlit blue wept for the docile stars' hide I knock my knuckles red and wild, like the raspberries from the monsieur's farm my chin against the beige, I gaze to where the magpies talk too loudly on the garden moist swollen and offended by the loud chirps of boisterous dins, the grouchy neighbour cry. I fill my baskets with wild things and papers, I have cheese and juices, fruits and sweet carrots. I have peach trees on my nails for jam I have cherries in my toes for pie I have snows in my lapin's soul for some ice creams I have poppies in my worn pants for a good sight And there's even vineyards of all Verona in my mind the ribbons on the hat loom into the gardens' tunnel; I have herb gardens, I have secret gardens  And I have my old books and pens in there. when my laces are riven, the embroidered flowers are not. the canvas shoes is painted in petrichors and soil my dresses go tattered, sewn with patches into the vines, thorns and russet throats I lilt and leap against smells of rustic wood pencils and redolent flowers There, under a green willow is where to sit and devour wisdom and to drink some saccharine wine with mon lapin and maybe some picnic pies. The abominable tremors will be gone, My morn soul diving into fairy pools of sensuous europhias.*

The Pomander Bracelet
A slow break in the monotony, As low whispers fill my eyes. There is a silence on the air with a subtle cruelty, Redolent of my most feverish nights. Impressionable though you are, The fierce desire of each night spent lying awake so the coarse memory of your skin may plague my mind. The Kiss never seemed so haunting, So deathly. I can't believe it would look as I feel even today. I drink the remedy in silence, But not tranquility. Complacency is a mistaken innervation. Jaded though widely perceived as infallible truth. Divinity is as tranquility strives to be, For I have witnessed your gaze, And know it to be true.

Beauty In Resilience
i. the Hibiscus is the paradisiacal armistice of quagmire and wind: leave it there anchored to Earth. ii when it rains, it bows to no one; when it genuflects to no bird,   it trills on the red of the moseying hour— nobody sees the Hibiscus.   only the children of the vandal. iii. last summer we had makeshift bubble machines and in the high-rise   of the twilight's cradle, we ran viciously against the humdrum town   blowing bushels of laughter at the dreary populace — the brooms   to a sweeping rustle, unsettled dust mounting the ether.          we hurtled across the infantile roads like they owed us something finitely attributed      to our locomotives. iv.   the Semana Santa had gone by and the season, no matter how promisingly redolent with emollient brush    of wind and laboring silence, held no reprise — the Hibiscus,    it is not alone in the quiet verdigris. v.   somewhere amid the hubbub of city, there is a pendulum of line biting    the shore of waiting repeatedly. only steel scaffolds erected and no    flagrant scent aroused. peregrinating in the haloed hour, the nascent furl of     belch from vociferous iron-clad beasts in all of EDSA    and when i look at people around me they look like gumamelas, finally,     yet i am         not coming home.

BISHOP CORNELIUS KORIR OF ELDORET IS A HYPOCRITE

trigger warning
Exaggerated tears, overreacted feelings Only for a love that interned you in pains. You’ll never die if someone will be apart, For there’s always love after a broken heart. You can’t blame if the oceans left the sea; Truth may hurt but it will only set you free. The remedy is only up there for your scars, And there’s always hope after a broken heart. There’s always a lesson for every mistake, Find that one redolent reason to breathe. You can’t bring back the fire with a spark, But there’s always life after a broken heart.

This Is Not Poetic
She saw the face of Judas in him. The bearded kiss festered no truth and the metallic breath exhaled putrid faithfulness. The trampled petals spoor no lusting stares, redolent no more even as the tongue creeps by the shoulders. The razors have summoned from the stinking room! A slit in the neck could rhythmically go by the thrusts unnoticed But the chorus of the beasts as shrill as the gongs of hell maiming vengeance yet not in the loss of blood will you die. Not in my hands. His demonic pleasures went on as the voodoo doll resurrected in the beat of my own gongs. Keep stirring as this spindle rouses my anathema! his chest hairs pint of blood vulture’s beak stallion’s tails bobcat’s eye dead evergreen Deborah’s tears. Stir and stir and stir! Murmur satan’s prayer mana mana mana boo! ruba ruba ruba hoo! Count the sands of the transient hourglass expiring ‘fore tic tac sound. Now her man froze, bulging eyes, blackened pulse! ‘tis freedom, Deborah! Free. Doomed. © Glenn Sentes 03-06-13
