Raksha Bandhan - The bond of love
Sare jahan se pyara ye hindostan hamara, Na ruke the hum na rukenge kabhi, Badhate chale jayenge lekar yahi nara, Sare jahan se pyara ye hindostan hamara, Geet gate chalenge, hath milate chalenge, Raksha karne ka pran lekar hum apna sar katate chalenge, Na jhukaye the hum, na jhukayenge kabhi Mita denge khud ko apne desh ke liye yahi hain pran hamara, Sare jahan se pyara ye hindostan hamara, Dekhlo ai dusmano hum pith pichhe war karne wale kayar nahi, Hum sher hain apne desh ka tum jaise kayar nahi,. Uncha rahega sda ye TINRANGA hamara, Sare jahan se pyara ye hindostan hamara, Kaise bhula de wo sahidon ki purani yaadein, Jinhone khud ko mita di es desh ki suraksha ke liye, Chhod chale gye wo khun se latfath yaadein, Etihas ke panno me likhenge dobara, Vishwa me sabse uper rahega Ye hindostan hamara, hindostan hamara......

Bin aapke ek pal raha nahi jaata, Dil ki dadhkano ko khuda hai jaanta. Is janam mein khushnaseeb hain aapko paakar, Khuda se duaein karte har janam aapko maangkar. Aapke liye agar taqdeer se bhi ladna pada, Khushi khushi ladegi aapki mahiya. Dukh ne sataya aapko tou saamne milegi aaapki sangini, Aapki rooh ko chhukar is rooh tak hawaein aapki khabar batati. Aapka naam lekar hi chalti hain ye saansein, Beintehha mohabbat hai humein aapse. Fikar nahi kariye, Jaan aye meriye. Jeet lenge apni mohabbat se sabko, Ek kharoch bhi nahi aane denge aapko. Ye dadhkane chalti hain sun un dadhkano ko, Aapki muskurahat dekhkar hi sukoon milta humko. Aapki aankho mein ashq ka ek katra tak nahi aane denge, Har janam hum sirf aur sirf aapke hi rahenge. Dur jaane ki baat nahi kara kijiye, Meri zindagi meri rooh aap hi ** jaan aye meriye. Aapke bin ye dil kahin lagta nahi, Jahan aap honge milenge aapko hum bhi wahi. Nazar na lag jaye kabhi tabeez bankar raksha karenge, Jis haal mein rakhoge aapke sang humesha khush rhenge. Aapse hi judi hain humari saari khushiyan, Duniya badi hai par mere liye aap hi ** meri duniya.

Tuhade layi je ladna paya mainu taqdeera naal, Haske mai lad laungi tuhadi khushiyan waal. Tuhade waal je aaya koi dukhe ve, Saamne mai khadungi mahiye. Chhetti chhetti aaja jaane meriye, Bade cher tou tuhadi yaad aundiye. Ik pal vi tuhade baajo reha nai jiunda, Sab tou khushnaseeb haa mai tussi jo mile tohfa rabb da. Mai tuhadi si, tuhadi haa, tuhadi hi rahangi, Tuhade saaha naal hi sadde saah chalde jaani. Saddi har khushi tuhade naal ve, Tussi meri zindagi ** jaan aye meriye. Sadde ehsaasa ch vi rooh jiundi, Bin chue vi mehsoos kr lendi. Es pagli nu mera paglu hi samjh sakda, Tuhade bajo ek pal vi dil nahi lagda. Raatan nu neend ni aundi, Tuhade khayalan ch mai khoyi rendi. Tussi aisi nigaahan mainu takeya, Mere dil, rooh jaan ch bs ohi chehra vaseya. Sawere uthde vi sab tou pehla tuhada naam mai lendi, Tuhanu hi har janam mai os rabb kolu mangdi. Lawan baahan ch samet kaayenaat assi, Jado lawo sanu aapde seene naal tussi. Tuahde naal jahan sadda, Sab tou anmol tukda ** sadde dil da. Chand naal chandani je, Taareyan naal raat ve. Tuhade naal saddi har zindagi ve, Sacchiyan mohabbbatan tuhade naal la baithe. Jithe jithe tussi hove, Tuhade picche picche sanu hi pave. Tuhade naam assi kr ditta har janam, Har dadhkan ch tuhadi chahat haigi sanam. Saada har mukaam tuhadiyan hi raahan ch, Jeena marna sab tuhadiyan baahan vich. Bhaagan wali haa mai jo mileya saanu eho jeya mahiya, Mainu mera sohneya saddi jaan tou vi piyareya. Gale ch mangalsutra, Baneya raksha sutra. Tuhada naam jado sadde naam nu poora kareya, Tuhade kol mera dil ve sadde pyaar di nishaniya. Chhetti chhetti aaja mahiya le ja aapdi jaan nu aapda bna ke, Hatthan ch mehndi, baahan ch chudiyan, matthe tey sindoor aapde naam da bhar ke.

The bond of love The bond of Trust The festival which truly celebrates the bond between a brother and a sister (siblings and cousins) Celebrated in the month of August on a full moon day(purnima) Known as Rakhi Purnima Rakhi-The sacred thread , which the sister ties on the wrist of her brother . This festival is known as Raksha Bandhan Raksha - means to protect Bandhan - To be bound (Bond) Raksha Bandhan - The Bond of Protection A festival celebrated by Hindus all over the country. The Celebration The sister buys a Rakhi for her brother Prepares or buys sweets for her brother . On the auspicious morning , The brother and sister both deck up in their traditional fineries. The sister readies a plate full of sweets , with a little vermilion soaked in water along with a few rice grains ,  to be applied as vertical mark (tilak) on the brother's forehead. Believed to blessings from the lord . A lit lamp for aarti and the Rakhi(sacred thread) which she ties on the brother's wrist , wishing him the best . The brother in return promises to look after her and presents her with gifts . ** This is not a poem , more of an account of the festival and the celebration. With time and distances it is not always possible to bring in the festival together. However, the sister mails across the Rakhi  to the brother, as I did :)** Have beautiful memories of this festival from my younger days , celebrated with siblings and cousins alike . Thank you all for reading !!

Hey sister with love Wish you this day all above The bonds present on this earth God is great; we are brother sister in this birth Hey sister with love Wish you this day of wonderful bond that, Binds us and makes our attachment strong, Realizes my duty first to protect you ever, To be with you forever & lose you never Next, to support you at times of joy and sorrow Help you at any moment now or tomorrow. Hey sister with love, I want you to be with me, To make this bond eternal &everlasting; Would u agree with me that it won’t be at all contrasting? This day we may not be together, it doesn’t matter Whatever the reason may be, we couldn’t gather Rather make this celebration non-materialistic Beautiful in its own way, uniquely fantastic Though we fight or argue for while Let’s make our relations as long as Nile I know that at moment I am insane Promise you that it won’t be same, I Pray to God that we always be one Let’s enjoy this carnival with lots of fun Hey sister with love, Happy Raksha Bandhan.

I've got a handsome brother Like I have, you may have to Each day, I weave off his negativity By praying to god sincerely His life stays longevous   Never shall he get upset unnecessarily This thread, is a protection virtue Never get upset, this heart gets upset to Whether am far or near Don't you forget this lives praxis Brought 'rakhi' with love to tie on your wrist Brought you lots of sweets and gifts Let me embrace your forehead with sandlewood powder and wave this lighted lamp upon you Tying this thread and serving these sweets This day comes once a year with treats My brother, remaining years of my life I wish, be bestowed upon you... ©sim

Raksha Bandhan (Protection Thread)
In the quiet thread of Rakhi's grace, Lies a bond no time can erase. A promise wrapped in silk so pure, Of love that forever will endure. Beyond the playful jests and cheers, There’s a truth that whispers through the years. Life teaches, in its gentle way, That bonds of heart can never fray. A sister’s strength, a brother’s shield, In life’s great battle, neither yield. For in this bond, we truly find, The lessons that reshape the mind. When storms of life come raging through, It’s love that guides, it’s love that’s true. And like the Rakhi, strong yet thin, It’s the simple things that let us win. So cherish every thread you weave, In bonds of love, choose to believe. For Raksha Bandhan’s silent art, Is life's lesson: protect the heart.

Mere priye paardarshi! O mere priye paardarshi, Apne muskurate hue pratibimba ke saath meri raksha karna! Mera saahil nibha chuka hai kuch laazim vaaden! Pyaas nahi rahi, toh sahan-sheelata kese aayegi is dardmand-dil se? O naavik, apne chhipe hue gamon se Is aashiqe-beemaar ka khyaal rakhna! Apne khule dil se iski sthiti aabaad rakhna! Apne zameer ko dokha mat dena! Majnu ki tarah mat rona! Majnu ke hausle ki tarah jaroor chamakana! -Shivpriya #shivpoetesspriya
