"obamacare" poems
By: Cedric McClester
The first black president
Must have made one hell of an impression
On the man who followed him
Directly in succession
He seems to want to unravel
Whatever is at his discretion
In order to rob the legacy
Of the man whose name means blessing
He did his best to chase
Obamacare away
Without an adequate replacement
To make its absence okay
Now it’s gas emissions
Being lowered by the EPA
I guess fossil fuel behemoths
Are sadly here to stay
And on the international scene
The man has been a wreck
He left the Paris Climate Accord
And gives our allies no respect
Then ***** up to Vlad Putin
A man of greater intellect
And pulled out of the Iran Nuclear deal
To spite Obama I suspect
And when he can denigrate him
He never misses a chance
Much like a woman scorned
Caught in a bad romance
People are getting tired
Of this dismal dance
They can predict his moves
Four moves in advance

Not so far away girl
still so impossibly far
why must we wait until sunrise
to fall asleep?
Why is this beauty only conceivable
after the bottle dripdrips empty?
sinking deeper and deeper into saturn's orbit
youthful vibrant fluffed up peacocks
clucking on about research chemicals
and music festivals and last night and 6 days before
about banking and obamacare
and oh, my they're all talking
all at once
talktalktalking about this this this and that
not even asking for audience
soundwaves echo into nothingness
screaming lungs void of substance
fleeting purposes
failed courtships
unheard unimportant words
and oh, my, what a tedious thing
the night has become
but to stay at home alone
would be even more unspeakable.
Outside the party across the street
there is a tree
splayed out overhead and undergound
soaking up carbon growing tall still growing
slightly sad tree breathing in the silence of our sighs
dancing fallen leaves wrapping up the deadspace around us
deadworld space where we two sit under the edge
of revelry and absurdity
laughing, drunk, with the moon and the stars and
for just a second
feeling
slightly less impossible.

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade....So what happens when life gives you peanuts? Do you make peanut butter. I am writing this because I feel that it is necessary to show the World what I am thinking at the moment. Here is another little thing I just thought up "Sticks and Stones may break my Bones but Life-Alert will Save me. True Enough. So to say the least I think the entire World needs Life-Alert because their are a lot.....LOT of mean people in the World. Well this is where ill end your laughing. Take care and PROSPER. Enjoy life and Drink Lemonade. Brought to you by the ObamaCare Association for Nitwits. LOL I don't know where I am going with this. Well bye guys. :D

just a little bit o' asbestos
unwrapped from 'round the pipes,
yellow-green arsenic soap
in the bucket to make me clean
to eat... sump'n to munch on
like crunchy lead paint chips
and oh, how i love the smell o'
greasy diesel dip -
it reminds me of my last birthday
when we ate my smoggy cake
the kerosene ran dry that day
and smoked us to the street
our tummy aches that time forsake
'cause doctors cost real money.
but, hey, no choice in winter
- Obamacare or heat -
couldn't type his site with frostbit nubs,
no matter what the hype.
life ain't free,
so as fer me, i doctor fer myself
hell, in 50 years i've seen nothin' yet
some bourbon wouldn't fix.
but never in this tidy place we come to call our poverty
has ever lived the lovely stench
of crisp, green, perfect money.

You think it's nifty turning sixty
You even yearn for sixty-five
So you can go on Medicare
At last good healthcare will arrive
Until that year 2020 gets here
Don't miss those moments fleeting
Eat your kale for roughage
To keep that strong heart beating
Uncle Sam will send your social security
So you begin a life so rare
But why wait-retire now
For you can get Obamacare

Dear Mr. President,
I don't care about Obamacare that is a ******* up mess.
I don't care about foreign policy or why there are dumb wars.
I want you to fix my life and give me new parents.
My parents are the worst two in the entire galaxy and they need fixing.
I don't have the right tools to fix their messed up lives.
Mom dates men off personals on many sites and sleeps with every one of them.
Dad cheated on mom and left her because she got a few wrinkles on her face.
Mom went nuts and has to prove she's young and can get laid every night.
Dad lives with evil ***** who gave me a sibling I had no idea I had.
Dad's ***** lives for his money in the bank account that was mom and his.
Dad and mom text sext and cyber and write mmmmm a lot.
Mr. President could you please fix my life and my dumb parents?

There was a House Speaker named Boehner
Who went forth without any honor
He did his best to hurt Obamacare
To damage the folks with no hospital care
He killed every bill that came to the House
He's sorry you'd say like the sorriest louse
Then Obama's army got ready to roll
Barach showed us methods we all could extoll
That got the people insurance at last
Poor Boehner he cried like he's done in the past
Then he fought every tax to help people on high
To get all their votes when November comes by
But there is a Father in Heaven above
Who whispered no man can win without love
Then Boehner tried suing and shamefaced us all
Voters said Boehner was losing his *****
Then he failed to effect immigration
And stifle the strongest of nations
He flunked with each program he wanted to win
Soon Boehner will be on the streets once again
So all will be well in the dear U.S.A.
There'll be no Boehner to get in the way
he...he...he

**May the roof above us never fall in?
and may we friends gathered below never fall out.
May the good saints protect us
And bless us today
And may troubles ignore you
Each step of the way: quote from an Irish blessing**
~~~~~~~~~~
When the living pretend to don’t care
About Obamacare, or this new healthcare
in this year of two thousand and seventeen
His legacy is Washington new vanishing act
They daunting faces, as they smirked in triumph
The poor man burden, once again is left out in the dark
Washington DC is becoming the number one soap opera
An uncaring state of mind for the men in black
Who hold the magic key, who hired the pied piper?
Will pay the price: the cry that will get us the most
is the cry of the children, in the final hours?
The wine bottle glugging sound effect as they praise
Cork popping, family bawling, and once again
We march for justice, when the living pretend to don’t care
Delay and Repeal:
I have not the power to stop them in the tracks,
All I can do is to write lousy poetry
reconsidered this bill: You have won
Now think of last man in the race:
Newsflash
Newsflash: There will be not any Christmas this year.
Santa's elves are on strike for better pay and no Obamacare.
The FAA has grounded Rudoph. So Santa has to use Twikle toes for more light.
Santa's doctor told Santa to lay off the cookies because he won't get off the ground.
The other reindeer wants more feed because they don't like carrots.
So no Christmas this Year Boys and Girls.
It started with a devious question
And the answer was clear
To all
But a curious faction
Fueled by fear,
With the means to concoct
An Orwellian plot
That rendered hate normal,
Like bible study.
Let the Right say, 'Amen'.
"She should be in jail," said
A lady in the deli
With a red cap
And matching tee.
Her eyes spewed fire;
Mine stayed on the menu.
Bypassing the bologna,
I ordered turkey on rye,
To Go.
I had a revolution to catch.
One I'd missed like the polls
On Election Eve.
Dylan shot nine,
Dead.
Sparing one to spread the news
And start a race riot
Before Obama takes away our guns.
Then Vladimir bombed
A city Gary didn't know
But no one asked Don.
"I like you," said one tyrant
To another.
"But I despise Fidel, CNN and ObamaCare.
They are all dead to me."
We heard the lie.
Of the grand Muslim celebration in Jersey
After the towers fell.
And a million more.
Yet the tide of deaf ears kept growing,
Engulfing US in a tsunami
Of pussy-grabbing misogyny
That made Bill blush
And gave Hill another shocking traumatic defeat.
Women from Times Square
To Tokyo rained on his parade
And a speech spawned in 7th grade
Earned an A on FOX
And a wet sticker
Everywhere else.
Let the world say, "Impeach Him!"
Tax Time
It's that time of year.
We all dread but wait for.
Tax time has come once more.
The mind goes in to number mode.
Deductions and credit
What do they mean.
I feel a headache coming on.
Social security numbers are in the right spot.
Now to the bank for a refund I hope.
Oh no , No refund this year
There goes my house
For Obamacare gets it all!
I believe and know
That Trump has got to go
But while that may make sense
We’ll just be stuck with Pence
And it’s become crystal clear
That he hasn’t a rabbit’s *** idea
About what the Americans people need
And it’s not more avarice and greed
I believe and know
That Obamacare shouldn’t go
It needs to be repaired
Instead they have us scared
That we’ll lose needed services
Because they’re true conservatives
And be that as it may
They’re gonna rue that day
I believe and know
That the Russians meddled - so
It’s fake news they might insists
But we have to get to the bottom of this
And no matter who’s at fault
Trump’s people or Bannon’s Alt
Wherever guilty parties are found
We have to bring them down
I believe and know
That you can’t clean the swamp, then go
And pick a bunch of billionaires
Which only shows nobody cares
They haven’t had a hungry day
And while I’m at it let me say
It’s impossible for them to identify
And that’s the truth no lie
Republicans thought they had Washington, DC under control
What they got was a behold
Repeal Obamacare being a done deal
However, were these Republicans actually for real?
Meetings upon Meetings in getting the job done
But one by one Republicans Obamacare oppose
Yet now the Republican Flatliners are stuck on suppose
Americans would have had healthcare difficulties
But victory having a new name
Republicans really don’t care
The Democrats telling Americans beware
The healthcare fight may not be complete
Right not the Republicans must lavish in defeat
Trump got several messages to leave Obamacare alone
But when you have lack of understanding, I am letting it be known
It shows a superior being who is in control
Believing on high and taking hold
But you can’t fool the world and think your ideas will be sold
Trump house is not in order
In fact, the White House Administration functions like a sorter
Yet nothing in place
Republicans have no stand
In fact, they act more like a marching band
However having no harmony and sincerity
So healthcare is safe for now
The Republicans got a message of God’s wow.
They are ubiquitous as red, white and blue.
Everybody's entitled to them.
Everybody has many, all insightful.
Everybody feels compelled to share them.
Frankly, I don't care what you think
about Trump, Obamacare, refugees, Syria,
the patriarchy, pumpkins or the Patriots.
But go ahead and fill me in. I know you will.
I will smile politely, as I always do,
while imagining twenty ways to ****** you.
Okay, now they're at it again!
Yep, and they aren't fooling.
Trump and some Republican friends
Are in support of a ruling
To take away the health care from
Twenty-one million souls.
Destroying the ACA° has been
One of their loathsome goals.
Do you have a pre-existing
Condition? If that's true,
Finding affordable health care is
Going to be hard to do.
Dependents under twenty-six
Who up to this point can
Be covered on your policy will
Be kicked off your plan.
Are you perhaps on Medicare?
Well, congratulations!
You are going to have to pay
More for medications!
To roll back Medicaid expansion
In thirty-seven states
Means that millions of people are going
To be in desperate straits.
Did you hear that Trump has said--
Such hypocrisy!--
The real party of health care is going
To be the GOP?
He claims he loves America.
It really seems as if
Republicans don't care that he
Is leading them over a cliff.
Repeal and replace
Everyone he will insure
We hope that’s the case
But he’s lied to us before
The truth of the matter is
We can’t say for sure
If you’re middle class
Or the abject poor
Repeal and replace
But tell me what with
An alternate plan
They have yet to give
Over twenty million people
Just want to live
So at least give them something
That’s more determinative
Repeal and replace
The ACA
Which they referred to as
Obamacare any way
And we’re still waiting
I must say
For an adequate alternative
To be brought into play
Repeal and replace
Our health insurance
With one that’s acceptable
Requires endurance
For those who are waiting
It’s procurance
There is no one to offer them
The desired assurance
Conservatives, Republicans,
Potential voters
May I have your attention
I’m not here to praise Obama
But rather to bid him good riddance
Donald Trump and the others
Have said he was a disaster as President
And they are all wise and honorable men
They say Obamacare is a catastrophe
And I’m sure the millions now insured
Who wouldn’t otherwise be agree
Because they are wise and honorable men
Unemployment is at an all time low
As a consequence of President Obama’s failed policies
As his detractors are quick to point out
If elected they would take back everything he’s accomplished
Which isn’t much given he inherited a depression
Now that things have pretty much
Turned completely around
Why should he get credit for it
Things must have righted themselves
No thanks to him of course
As the wise honorable men and others
Would surely attest
Despite the fact that he received little help
He’s been thwarted every step of the way
And in spite of it all, succeeded anyhow
Yet he deserves no credit as we have been told
For they are wise and honorable men for the most part
President Obama is leaving the country
Much better off than when he inherited it
But we are constantly being told
That he has been a dismal failure as history will no doubt judge
I had been on my way to work as usual
I am the seven to three shift
A shift where you see the modern slaves masters
The visionary of the Donald J Trump’s disasters
I saw a title of a poem today,
"The Bullet Was a Girl".
Now my title might be
"The Bullets Are The Russian
that led to Obamacare assassin
That led to the suspects Russian interferences of
Human rights abuses:
The Russian might build the wall
Now that would be a vision no one saw coming,
House Republicans just couldn't wait
To annihilate Obamacare.
They swindled the American people,
And now the louses are walking on air.
They've rushed through a disastrous bill
With no hearings and no score.
The message they are sending out
Is one that's difficult to ignore.
Denying essential benefits
Now would be up to the state.
Older Americans also could be
Charged a much higher rate.
The plan for people with pre-existing
Conditions? The cutthroat Republicans gored it.
According to them, you'll be covered.
If, that is, you can afford it!
Millions would lose their health insurance,
But our leaders care not a jot.
That Medicaid would be gutted,
They didn't give a second thought.
Minimum requirements
Won't be a priority.
Those with excellent coverage
Will be in the minority.
The plan is NOT a health care plan.
Listen to their sales pitch.
What it all boils down to is
A huge tax break for the rich.
After voting on a bill
That screws millions of people, they
Had a victory celebration--
A nauseating, sickening soirée.
If this is the best that they can do
To make our lives better, let the truth
Mercilessly come back to haunt them
Next time in the voting booth.
Under the AHCA
Once it gets unstuck
Wise people say
The poor get ******
In the usual way
But the president says
We’re gonna be okay
Because he’s the prez
We’re being sold ****
Like it was Shinola
The rich will be okay
The poor - like I told ya
As they point the way
We’re gonna need a shoulder
For us to cry on
As they move that boulder
If they repeal Obamacare
With no concern
How the sick will fare
I’m warning them
They better beware
Cos’ we’re gonna rise up
And give ‘em
Quite a scare
As I write this
They’re counting votes
If they make it
According to the quotes
They have to know
They’ll be rockin’ boats
And taking on water
Until nothing floats
And so we voted him in, our president elect;
Some for him, some against, some thought,
“What the heck…”.
Although the spectrum was wide in range,
Not another eight years,
We voted for change
Even if strange
To end the slump, bump ***
Donald Trump, bump ***
Donald Trump.
Hillary didn’t nod; she just shook her head.
The DFL kept time, “Obamacare’s dead”.
Although the popular vote showed her ahead,
But by strategic knowledge
The Electoral College delivered the thump
That landslided Trump, bump ***
Donald Trump.
What will happen now as all speculate?
Be great, America, again as they state?
Is it just rhetoric, too much or too late?
No more campaign debate!!
It’s on their plate right out of the gate
And all in a clump, bump ***
Donald Trump.
And if it doesn’t work, and things just get worse,
If alliances break down, not as rehearsed,
And gridlock walls build up that do not make sense,
We’ll have to stay the course,
And in our defense while straddling the fence
If decisions get dense, bump ***
We’ll still have Mike Pence, bump ***
Instead of fixing Obamacare,
Republicans are making it worse.
They want to play Robin Hood,
But they are playing the role in reverse.
Wanting to come to someone's rescue,
They've come up with a major switch
By robbing money from the poor
And giving that money to the rich.
Cutting Medicaid by billions
Of dollars over the next ten years
Will hurt the people who need the money
The most. The plan deserves no cheers.
To give 880 billion
Dollars in tax cuts to those with wealth
Shows that many Republicans care
More about money than people's health.
Experts predict that over a decade
Twenty-four million people will lose
Their health insurance, which is not
Very reassuring news.
As usual, the elderly
And poor will be the hardest hit.
People have to raise their voices.
We have the right to throw a fit.
So raise your fist in protest while
Ryan and his merry men
With hypocritical smiles on their faces
All come riding through the glen.
