"monstro" poems
We stain our shirts with oil
spills
as we ash our cigarettes
into the mouths of blue whales
and pretend that we don’t choke
when we say,
The world is our oyster.
We should pry her, unwillingly
open
and utilize her
most intimate resources
to better our-slick-selves.
There’s always somebody, willing
and ready
to cross the line.
Teach a man to fish
and he’ll learn to **** dolphins.
We aren’t the painters or the paintings,
we’re the products;
oil, rigs, and watercolors
used
to get
the job
done.

I'm a master of Baguazhang.
I will break your face like diamonds cutting glass:
precise.
I'll fall upon you like glorious Achilles
wasting no time and hitting all of your weaknesses,
knocking you off balance to your doom.
Your nose will snap,
your arm will shatter,
your will as broken as your bones,
you will submit to me!
I dare anyone to attack me,
even if he's ten feet taller;
he doesn't stand a chance.
I will crush his skull half a second before he realizes I'm upon him.
I'm trained to ****
and I will.
I dare you bring a gun.
I dare you think about it.
I am a monster.
Only a true hero can
defeat me.

In the darkness you don't know where you are, you don't see a thing.
In my darkness, you don't know who you are.
You feel things that make you certain that there could be nothing worse.
In my dark, all friends have two separate entities: Both untrustworthy.
In my darkness, you're nothing.
In my darkness, you drown, you suffocate, you're beaten down.
In my darkness, no one hears you, no one holds you, your soul bleeds.
A giant vulnerable wound.
It walks down a procession of darkness, head down, shrinking, shrinking as it becomes one with this darkness.
Defeat.

Monstro
I miss you
Do you miss me?
You're not allowed to
She forbids it
She'll leave you if she knows
About the late night phone calls
Or the exchanges of "I love you"s
Oh god how she hates me so badly
All I ever did was try and protect you
Love
I miss you
We were best friends
Never apart from each other
Remember the long walks in the park
Holding hands but only so I wouldn't trip
We were never meant to be anything but friends
Prince
I miss you
I am sorry for ruining us
Our friendship can never be replaced
You know my darkness better than anyone
Because you were the only one who understood
I would give anything to go back in time to a year ago
And have you back in my heart, my hands, my life, my soul
I miss you.
Love always,
Princess Royce.
