"mcphee" poems
When the dark night came with her rain.
my body and mind had started to pain.
As I weighed the cost of my task against its gain,
I felt I was fighting in vain!
Little by little the night progressed,
the things in my to-do-list regressed,
with my work, my heart felt impressed,
which in turn, left my mind digressed
my blood drained
my heart pained
my spirit waned
my mind craned
I started worrying
my stomach started churning
my eyes started crying
my mind started burning
I looked into my past to find some solution
I had nothing left to accompany my determination
I was stuck in this camp with a prefix of concentration
And I was left with a ton of assimilation
Oh, how I wish I had a Nanny McPhee
especially now, when my heart sighed, Oh, Gee!
with no more fresh n fighting blood left in me,
At last, I took refuge in my old friend, Coffee!

You've left this world
Now, your pain will cease
Your hurting is over
You will rest at peace
O'er the sea your soul will go
To the land of your forebearers
That you know
Free to walk the highland hills
And look upon us, Ron , until
We meet again
We will see you in the gloaming
As you nod, to say all's fine
We will think of you with comfort
To strains of Auld Lange Syne
You are home now and are waiting
We will all meet once again
As we think of you with fondness
To a haunting pipes refrain.

I'd have Kyra Sedgewick's face as the face,
a combination of the bodies of Kathryn McPhee and Serena Williams as the body,
the wardrobe of Martha Quinn the old MTV personality broadcaster
Kylee Harting
the personality of Lucille Ball,
the character of Jane Addam, perhaps, the founder of Social Work in old time Chicago
the voice of Caila Ali
the sense of humor of Phyllis Diller,
the posture of Condaleeza Rice
the leadership ability of Elizabeth Warren
the lifestyle of either Monica the soul singer or Janet Jackson
and then name her Kyra Williams in honor of Kyra and Serena
plus the creativity of the know by some - black poets Nikki Giovanni
and the athleticism of pro tennis player (ex) Jennifer Capriati
with a little of pro tennis player Maria Sharapova

Everyone is meant for someone,
Everyone has a soulmate,
I’m afraid to have to say
That’s not always the case
Some people are meant to travel in pairs,
Others are meant to travel alone,
Some are there for each other with no connection but just until they move on
Although, it’s unfortunate to have a soul that nobody connects with, and to be seen not as someone’s lifetime partner but just someone they need when they need you but never want you.
But the memories we leave will live forever and the impact on our lives will always linger.
