the river is drinking it sequins blankets the river runs past hobos unidentified water fowl two trolls taking shelter under the bridge there’s conversation in another language fiendish brains connecting fiendish yet beautiful thunder tampons a turtle a naked boy on the patio rain definitely rain unmatched and the steam coming from the bridge *once there was a troll on my face and I swatted it with a broom but it came back it came back with you* laughter pounds with the rain laughter that wears emotion like skin soft elastic still pink bouncing on the river’s surface breaking absorbed sustenance for the trolls like fiends with faces like minds with names these two connect with spark and the rain falls the stillness under nature’s machinery

It's coming through a hole in the air, from those nights in Tiananmen Square. It's coming from the feel that it ain't exactly real, or it's real, but it ain't exactly there. From the wars against disorder, from the sirens night and day, from the fires of the homeless, from the ashes of the gay: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A. It's coming through a crack in the wall, on a visionary flood of alcohol; from the staggering account of the Sermon on the Mount which I don't pretend to understand at all. It's coming from the silence on the dock of the bay, from the brave, the bold, the battered heart of Chevrolet: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A. It's coming from the sorrow on the street the holy places where the races meet; from the homicidal bitchin' that goes down in every kitchen to determine who will serve and who will eat. From the wells of disappointment where the women kneel to pray for the grace of G-d in the desert here and the desert far away: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A. Sail on, sail on o mighty Ship of State! To the Shores of Need past the Reefs of Greed through the Squalls of Hate Sail on, sail on It's coming to America first, the cradle of the best and the worst. It's here they got the range and the machinery for change and it's here they got the spiritual thirst. It's here the family's broken and it's here the lonely say that the heart has got to open in a fundamental way: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A. It's coming from the women and the men. O baby, we'll be making love again. We'll be going down so deep that the river's going to weep, and the mountain's going to shout Amen! It's coming to the tidal flood beneath the lunar sway, imperial, mysterious in amorous array: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A. Sail on, sail on o mighty Ship of State! To the Shores of Need past the Reefs of Greed through the Squalls of Hate Sail on, sail on I'm sentimental if you know what I mean: I love the country but I can't stand the scene. And I'm neither left or right I'm just staying home tonight, getting lost in that hopeless little screen. But I'm stubborn as those garbage bags that Time cannot decay, I'm junk but I'm still holding up this little wild bouquet: Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

And I will make sure that if anything were to happen, It would do little to affect you. It's not everyday You find a goose that lays eggs With speckled jewels and golden flakes The world is full of incongruity And there's no doubt about the certainty That something bad may happen, And we don't want that, do we? So listen carefully. The world is a giant carboniferous spicule Hanging in a nest of hydroxic gas and particulae Spinning within the gaps of a blackened dome Of limitless space and out of control There is no telling what way it will go There is no prediction that has fortold Any number of moments in this tumbling slumber Between the darkest hell and the further horizon I so deftly advise you with all certification To please place your bets and fly by echolocation Your eyes will mislead, your ears will displease And there is no way we can refund divine warranties This machinery has a half life of quarks And energies that vibrate into other orbits Trajectories Retaining the spin and informative piece Of that golden goose let loose amongst the canopy Of dark, off into neverland, straight on Till new morning, Beyond the stars So please good sir don't migrate away from me I have so much to give and such pain I have seen Those that fatten their goose with **** till it quacks, Those ravenous souls who ate their gift for a snack, And when life finally cuts them down to their last, They will howl and yowl and pray that goose back. This is a game, Have a good little laugh Don't waste your time or your money On a daffy Aflack Policy that keeps you policed to the earth, No way to fly, Stuck in the dirt. That is no way to live in the dream, That is no way to let death trickle in So please, pretty please, make sure you have coverages And a couple extra dollars in the pocket of those jeans Wander freely, you great big atomic bomb, you. Do catastrophic damages and I'll pay your dues. Ride the road coast to coast, Fly a bird 'round the world, Take a truck till you're home, Find a love you can trust. Find a place where your egg And your legs seek nowhere else Lay down those roots, It's Eden or bust.

the sounds are there, they come through walls right around the corner they're not visual, they're miserable and in need they're equal opportunity exhibitionists lovers of a family get together, taking everything in parasitic and aware, destitute and stuck but they're also there at the wrong time the wrong time for the person who's alone the wrong time for a person who's disconnected because they want to be enjoying peace and quiet alone by themselves in an old house with summer outside making its noises, crickets trees rustling under a jeweled sky, the pinnacle of up high breathing in the home air of cannibus, lotion and food being disturbed is far from a thought, but unavoidable simultaneously because the house has a strange history the basement floods, and the machinery kicks in the mind ponders as the constellations wander the nights grow and shrink, the body is dry, bone dry the shower is turned on, soap, shampoo lost in the mind on autopilot until the spine stiffens its without a doubt that I'm not alone now a minute ago i was the master of this house a minute ago I was naked in the hallway, smoking a cigar now I've been usurped and I just want to barricade myself in this house that I've live in for 15 years, now i beg for permission to stay just one more night I beg because how could I possibly fight It's my conscious or the pontius pilate I hope it's the former, because if not, blowout the pilot light There's little hope for re-ignition or stellar recognition

I come from New Orleans where the swingers hook up with the singers, and the boxes have a person inside who speak to you through a thick horizontal slot in the door. You come from Minnesota where the most aggressive sentence is “Hi, how are you” and you’ve attended church every Sunday of your life, even though you don’t really believe in god. We came to the West to skate with the surfer junkies. But then the harbors got bombed and we moved out East to see the hipsters and the artists beggin on the streets. We went to the South with the racists and bigots were dying for a good show. We moved up North to escape from the 70s, and with the 80s on the rise we figured we’d best stay away. The 70s were rockin’ with **** and LSD in parks and concerts, and on benches on the streets. The smoke in the air was everywhere, from the slums in Wisconsin to the cities of Dallas. Even the poor were lost in the haze. When the 80s arrived with Rock ‘n’ Roll and techno beats from windowsills upstairs. The music was groovin’ and the ladies were fine. We saw billboards of our names in neon orange lights. The *** was replaced by coke, and the LSD with ****** singing and swinging with delight in our eyes. When the AIDS broke out we were sick in our beds listening to Pink Floyd and Elton John, and still we were singing. The 70s got us high while the 80s made us die We lived through wars in Vietnam, and Korea; we fought back the communists with red ink on our hands. We broke down the door into China and got them to arrive in the present and join the world. Although their chairman sits on a chair of lies he leads them with an angry fist in the air pumping “three cheers for Mao”. “Three cheers for Mao”. When the Soviets launched themselves to the moon we responded with our money and flashed our shiny new machinery in their faces. We marked our territory and claimed triumphantly that “We’re the best”. And we launched our war nukes and pinned them into intimidation. Then the Cubans sought revenge for the death of the Pigs on their Bay. With rifles in hand we stormed the beach and unearthed Castro and his regime. With our beds soaked in blood, and our dreams covered with fog, hand in hand we lay. We recalled the dances in the backs of old Cafes where the passwords were as simple as three quick knocks and two slow ones. We remembered the guns that pierced the heavenly chorus for the negros in the south. And we thought about the music of the 70s and the death in the 80s and I thought about you for a minute more.

I'm in a vulnerable state of mind Static screams in heavy machinery A screen of the world in a room of thousands of sounds and lights It's black and white It's silent and noisy It's dark and light I'm in a vulnerable state of mind But all of it is white noise

Shopping outfashioned hunting and gathering, Processed beats fresh, Groceries replaced fruit trees, Malls superceded forests, Churches outnumbered temples, Countries dissolved to territories, Places devolved to areas, Paths broke down into highways, Commodity converted to currency, Laborers submit to machinery, Masters engage in humbug, Apprentices reduced to students, Knowledge downgraded to education, And education is deducted to a show of grades, While schools are the stages, And the corporate world is the bigger runway, With work slumped to employment, Wisdom demoted to profession, Where in jobs are the only future, Careers are the only success, Clicking and pressing buttons are skills, Computers are correspondent to brains, Information refers to news reports, Intelligence means up-to-dateness, Browsing is preferable to reading, Studying is in demand more than learning, Viewing things flashed on screens yields awareness, Transportation is to traveling, As buying is to the three basic needs, And needs embody worldly possessions, Worldly possessions define happiness, Happiness is due to selfishness, Selfishness is traced to the lack of love, The lack of love draws from the lack of faith, Because faith stands for religion, And religion stands for membership, Where politicians are the gods, Celebrities are the preachers, And the preachers are the enemies, While networking is equal to friendship, And connection equates to communication, Experiences require photos, Memories necessitate uploading, Souvenirs can be downloaded, Smartphones are substitute to pets, Gadgets are toys, Holding controllers is playing, Watching TV is exploring the great outdoors, Internet is recreation, And technology is a way of life; While humans are scientists, Nature is a guinea pig, And the earth is a laboratory, Where prices are misidentified for worth, Processes are miscalculated as progress, Impoverishment is confused with improvement, And getting more is mistaken as getting better; And then we wonder why Homes have become houses, Family members have become boarders, Nations are separate species Composed of tired and hungry citizens, Children are monsters Who are biochemically rascals, Teenagers are zombies Whose adventures lead to delinquency, Adults are robots Who just clang when touched, And life is not so simple As how it is said to be.

THERE is a wolf in me ... fangs pointed for tearing gashes ... a red tongue for raw meat ... and the hot lapping of blood-I keep this wolf because the wilderness gave it to me and the wilderness will not let it go. There is a fox in me ... a silver-gray fox ... I sniff and guess ... I pick things out of the wind and air ... I nose in the dark night and take sleepers and eat them and hide the feathers ... I circle and loop and double-cross. There is a hog in me ... a snout and a belly ... a machinery for eating and grunting ... a machinery for sleeping satisfied in the sun-I got this too from the wilderness and the wilderness will not let it go. There is a fish in me ... I know I came from saltblue water-gates ... I scurried with shoals of herring ... I blew waterspouts with porpoises ... before land was ... before the water went down ... before Noah ... before the first chapter of Genesis. There is a baboon in me ... clambering-clawed ... dog-faced ... yawping a galoot's hunger ... hairy under the armpits ... here are the hawk-eyed hankering men ... here are the blond and blue-eyed women ... here they hide curled asleep waiting ... ready to snarl and **** ... ready to sing and give milk ... waiting-I keep the baboon because the wilderness says so. There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird ... and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want ... and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes-And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness. O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart-and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where-For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and **** and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

I locked eyes with the street last night and it dared me to turn away turn from the injustice inequalities ignorance move on to some romantic scene that lives outside the grey I wrapped its cold wet skin around my neck and began to shiver as the rocks began to scrape scratch slither in my veins as one hundred unknown faces paddled their way down river I tasted grief and empathy and the mix was all too vile more bitter than any sympathy symbiotic synergy gears were painting machinery cranking out disquiet and bile It was then I found its corner and the music it seemed to breathe and despite my hesitation hysteria hellish intent on fiction The asphalt smile began to grow and pave my mind at ease

*i was looking at an old and tattered black and white photo of my grandfather a man i never knew and wondered about his existence like a horizon of dissolution his soul enshrined in my own and like him and all creatures ultimately i remain defenseless against realities magnitude while my father loved me as a child he grew unkind over the years and we where set bitterly against one another other his tyranny and my disobedience as i gathered strategies craft by machinery of thought and festering gall he, the bully got bullied back by me and old age as we in tandem set fire to his sadistic golden age of disillusionment and here we are now the living and the dead still locked in a grudge a recurring spirit of revenge in a valley of tears before i myself join the ephemeral legions in a pile of stones and ashed corpses are we not a procession of long struggles and short pleasures a history of terrors and creatureness stooges bound by the wheel creation crucified by desire and the apathy of obliterations aftermath an archeology of death ruin upon ruins has God sinned against man or bestowed his grace mystified perfect and beautiful beyond measure yet to be discovered in an alternate reality?

HORIZON OF DISSOLUTION
Better the gorillas of Rwanda are given birth certificate Within a brief while of their visiting the earth, Their security is guaranteed by the state machinery Basking in the full confidence of three meals a day, Not wary of political repression based on suspicion, They have a national day in their honour Fully agitated for clean environment By the political incumbentcy, They are now the first class citizens As the Rwandese citizens of human origin Of varied political stand suffer under agony In prisons and exiles, jails and hideouts On the run for ever for fear of their lives.

BETTER THE GORILLAS OF RWANDA
The place was dangerous as hell; we had no business being there. It was a complex, composed of four immense structures, looming on the bluffs between Lake Michigan and a ghost town. I'm not sure which side of the fence brought forth more eeriness - the sight of four massive industrial skeletons was indeed an eerie one, but within the village that must endure it's haunting presence persists a dwindling heartbeat... and together they produced a heightened effect of slow decay - and that was what drew me in. The place was magnificent day or night. By day, we'd explore the groundworks while the light allowed us to admire the massive machinery, which by then had accumulated copious amounts of corrosion. All those dead giants, never to function again. In the spring time, beams of light would penetrate the ceiling above, caving in from years of stress sans stress tests. Even when the light was not shining through, one could make out where the beams have been because in their wake they left a trail of life. Up to that point in my life I thought that was the most beautiful scene I had ever seen - a thousand tons of old machinery, and a stubborn sunbeam poking through, incubating it's au natural industrialized chia pet. By night, we would ascend to the rooftops of these four story horror stories and gaze up at the stars. Sometimes, when our ***** were feeling particularly swelled, we'd venture across the rooftops as if in some post-apocalyptic videogame. And sometimes when we were feeling a bit rebellious and artistic, we'd bring along some cans of spray paint and redecorate to our desire. Oh, and another reason the place reeked of death was surely due to it being a glue factory... wherein horses were killed in order to gain access to their foot-stuff. I was told by an unfortunate local that they'd bury the unwanted horse parts in big pits back behind the place... this man had told me that he fell into one while wandering around back there - nearly died trying to get out. We knew the place was soon to be leveled, but we did not know when. Eventually I ended up moving out of state for a while, and alas, upon my return my childhood fascination was no more. shrugs... So it goes.

they found him walking along the freeway all red in front he had taken a rusty tin can and cut off his ****** machinery as if to say -- see what you've done to me? you might as well have the rest. and he put part of him in one pocket and part of him in another and that's how they found him, walking along. they gave him over to the doctors who tried to sew the parts back on but the parts were quite contented the way they were. I think sometimes of all of the good *** turned over to the monsters of the world. maybe it was his protest against this or his protest against everything. a one man Freedom March that never squeezed in between the concert reviews and the baseball scores. God, or somebody, bless him.

True Story
Seduced by the school shooter singing siren songs of shotgun blows to the heart beat  of the wet American dream. It's the human interest horror allegory The hero doesn't even get 15 minutes But the shadow has got a gun fetish Counting bullets as  They're counting blessings, numbered 1-27 3x his pump action  Light 'em up ***** 'em out  Some head-sick self-entitled  monster in a mask on a mission of mass destruction Cashed in on their little tax deductions The most sacred snuffed out before the light could become them It's the darkness that dominates As the dragon ********** Witch inside The mind displacing emotions away from the art of  living  loving  and losing You're the submissive Ascend the divine madness or find yourself in shackles in the machinery.  Humming hypnotizing hymns  of conformity  Another one's lost his mind Descended And the scapegoat  is mental illness We all know,  The media is the medium is the message The subliminal secret passage to the shared skewed subconscious Planting ideas of bloodshed Like evidence in the  Bodies of specific demographics  Demonize Pack the prisons Capitalize And cut the blood losses Here we are now Hopeless It makes for great entertainment

Gun Fetish
Tipping point reached, one final breath Let the waves of inertia crash, contaminate .... Alone in complexity, machinery, and everything Perfectly formed human being Slowly turning sour by the minute Stale air, only growing in its bitter taste as Seconds that feel like hours, add to feel like years All the plans i made All the plans i planned to make Gone, but not forgotten But then they were gone Truer statement never read then What i read on the back of the final bit found Within my reach Filtered through a layer of sediment settled over my vision Sanitized as life had been But my shelter having been breached To seep much longer... Too accustomed, but it doesn't help Found lacking in the company I had hoped to keep A poor atonement, sinking further Or, it kept rising I was nearly covered. ..... They stepped a little closer And left appalled by what they found Rotting in the dark, silently Defensive at the outset, shaking at the sound Sounding incomplete Face down this Eventual ending For me

Je ne sais quoi Yeah, she don't got it no more. They aborted it from her when they sold her the the false perfection elixir that soul'd her out Hook, line, and sink her gut her, fillet her. Ctrl-alt-del the fetus, the sacrifice of the inner-child. Molested into the machinery of Moloch He butchered the absolute heart of the poem of life out of her body. She stands naked goddess-less kicked into the prison pit of existence Now she's like everybody. She's nobody.

Greenery Part III My spirit awakens in the sands of realism. I wander through solace, Disappeared; In theorism. What was that beast that I saw in the Greenery? Was it celestial? Or perhaps, Machinery?

Life can be painless Provided there is sufficient Peacefulness For a dozen or so rituals To be repeated simply Endlessly Your genius does not fail you It allows you to understand the Truth of the situation; Which makes you--at times-- more tragic than ever And your genius, like all geniuses Suffers periodic fits of monumental naïveté Hi-ho Listen: Where is Grace When milk and blood Are about to be added To the composition of the Stinking ping-pong ***** being manufactured In Grand Rapids? Schizophrenia The sound and appearance Of the word fascinates It sounds and looks to me Like a human being Sneezing in a blizzard of Soapflakes This much we know: You made yourself hideously Uncomfortable by not narrowing Your attention to details Of life that were immediately Important And by refusing to believe what Your neighbors believed Hi-ho Let your imagination continue To be the flywheel on the Ramshackle machinery of the truth. But not the ‘awful’ truth The ‘beauty’ in truth Because we are a part Of a system that is very Restless, With people tearing around All the time Every so often, somebody stops to put up A monument Ours is a country where Everybody is expected to Pay his own bills for Everything, And one of the most Expensive things a person Can do is get sick Grace: Because if we stay here We’ll do one of two things (or both!) Build a Commune Or do like Collin Heise did: Make the main thing that we do be this: Move seventy-eight Thousand pounds of olives To Tulsa, Oklahoma Even if we can’t Improve the quality of our surroundings We’ll do our best to make our Insides beautiful instead Piebald Roadtrip-writing, baby Hi-ho You are the turtle able to live anywhere even under water for short periods With your home on your back A particular comfort in Realizing that it so often feels There is no order in the World around us That we must adapt ourselves to The requirements of Chaos instead Remember: We are healthy Only to the extent that Our ideas are Humane To you To me To ourselves To We

I work for the machine that bashes bastardized beauty into the face of the masses The status quo of oppressing the Goddess to some golden ratio of ***** perfection "We set the standards, baby" An arrogance of man, A battle born in blood objectifying some sacred symbol, The cosmic **** we all crawled out of as star dust The holy hole to heaven on Earth Gaia taken advantage of Rejecting the gift of consciousness We'll de-evolve like past-life regressions like we're so self-entitled to  come back around Among the cosmos cradled in the crescent  Deny yourself the mystique of the feminine The clashing of the anima and animus The syzergy of  the sun  the moon  and us Call on your angels And submit to the psychosis My brothers, These are our  sisters and mothers They don't want to castrate The ******* symbol Destroy the alpha male And the omega oppression The beginning and the end of **** shaming  I worked for the  misogyny machinery of Moloch My heart no longer beats here It just bleeds for her.

This Is What A Feminist Looks Like
corrupt me-- through judgement slicing through my naked flesh, and expensive machinery around my neck; remind me-- of every insecurity until it engraves into my conscience and scars blur hope the future brings. defeat me-- for I am small; vulnerable and a prisoner to those words stamped onto my arched neck with your shoe.

*If we leave the litter behind, and run until our legs become a burden and our heads start to swell and come loose like a white-cloth-Arabian-silk turban, we can make it home before 5.* Past the market that only makes sense in the sun, along the terraces slipping from their foundations, skip on-top of walls before falling back into our run behind the street of seared spice smells, conjured up by different nations. We’ve left the litter behind. We’d run further than these cities and their boundaries, take transport to the tops of heavenly high hills, cause havoc amongst the machinery of the foundries and make it home for five if we run through those mills. We’ve left the litter behind. Holding hands we’ll remember the brush of the grass on our thighs, farmer’s fields and the dark brown cut-throughs we took, our pockets full of receipts and chewing gum supplies and the look of your pale blue eyes amongst your fresh air haircut. I hope the litter don’t mind.

PALE BLUE EYES AMONGST YOUR FRESH AIR HAIRCUT
We do not pine for just one day where the markets, morality, or technology tune themselves in perfect harmony We say the future's now if we unite in just one way: **the acknowledgment that we have the will and machinery to feed, clothe, house, and heal every human being** Who cares if they find a wage Let's "let anyone follow their dreams" be the creed of Earthlings I'll have much more a fun time going to my neighbor's for beers if they spent their days doing what their inner child intended Pipe dream, much? Acknowledgment our task's a process another must, even when we feel so close What's your story other than the idea that authority's some natural right? The Government and the Propertied Working together or against each other forever in eternity (the Capitalists are the biggest Marxist narrow minds who refuse to hear Karlo's ending)
