Donald Trump what a Chump The name makes my blood Boil His views remind me of Those poor Jews when ****** Caused such Immortal coil Trump claims to be against Extremism yet it Leaks through his core all the Way to his Brittle bones Brainwashing vulnerable; Led to his Blood stained Throne No blood shed yet; He speaks Hell don't be so naive Trump contemplated by So many minds in this Day and age shouldn't be Building walls make them tall Then what Is this the way? Segregation, Racism Shuts his eyes, Cover's ears He'll not hear what we say It's Devastating such Man claims chance to taint our Minds with his Bitter taste A Catastrophe, Shows no Diplomacy With 'Morals' formed into Very Strange Scary shapes Yes, I agree Something Needs to change but Believe Me 'Trump' is not that Thing Sheds empty promises Causing controversy With 'Peace' as the end goal Trumps No way to begin His Immaturity Is so apparent that He will ruin the world As we know it today I think Trump needs some help Some Mental help to drive All those Devils living Within him Far away! © Karen L Hamilton, January 2016

The Flump Trump
White folks: pack your bags and go. Our nut-brown world is quite offended. Make your shame-faced exit NOW, And leave your mansions unattended. Wait—before you pass the doors, It's time to settle ethnic scores. No more ragtime Minstrel Show. Our Moorish Science took it down. Black lives matter. White, less so— Now move your pale face out of town . . . But first, shell out for racial shame Caucasian losers of the game. Cultural pride is ours alone: Kings and Egyptian queens we were. The glories of our race, well-known Bedazzle in a darkened blur (Clear to Africa's descendants— Puzzling to you white dependents). Blackness lent your world its light, Taught the Dutch to tend those flowers. Scandinavia grew bright Under our beneficent powers. Negroes gave your blondes their beauty; Helped those Norsemen shake their ***** The Seven Wonders of the world: We built them all. No vain conjecture Dims our banner, black, unfurled, Above eternal architecture. Arts and knowledge gained from us Are what we threaten to discuss. We invented math and science Which you robbed from Timbuktu. Swarthy wisdom's brave defiance Caused Old Europe to renew. All our treasure that you plundered Testifies: your days are numbered. Classics of our Greeks you stole: Philosophy was never yours. Shame upon your racist soul; For Bach and Mozart both were Moors. Misappropriated treasures call for ruthless hard-line measures. Latino fate falls next—but, where ? Jews, Turks, and Arabs: are you. . . white ? Orientals everywhere: Choose your side and join the fight. Blackness rising! Late the hour; Heed your call to fight the power. Crackers need to check your race— Stop rooting for that ****** clown. Rednecks all up in our face; Racist throwbacks got us down. But as your statues bite the dust Your light goes dark (you know it must). So move on out, oppressor, thief. Long have you held our nation back. A Poem: "Then they came for me"
“I am a warrior, so that my son may be a merchant, so that his son may be a poet.” John Quincy Adams, 6th President of the United States <> a bad weakness, mine, mess with the perfect of others, unsure what to add that will addictive illuminate further, but as homage, a tribute, a salute got to got too, no middle class delayed gratification for me, none, whatsoever, read the words and my own hands choke me as if to pull out, to free the upsurging words in my chest-forming, to uplift me up, from the floor where I am roiling in wonderful wonderment at a prophecy come true my recent family history, about 400 years worth, got it written down someplace, escapees from a Spanish Inquisition, a Roman one before that, meandering Jews who found a respite, a small welcome in a small village in Germany (the irony does not go unnoticed) from villager to merchant, from tiny town to big city folk, we went, warriors if any, kept secret, best unheard, attract no attention, but do what survival doesn’t always politely request here I am child of the proverbial wandering jew, fancy me a poet with, at best, a very small p, one of three children, historians, book writers, scholars and even poet~traders, and so a President’s words, hammer my cells upon an anvil for human skins, the future shape of me foreseen and I think to myself, alone and out loud: This, This! is what makes America great,  welcoming the stranger, even predicting their possible pathway to a peaceful existence, giving their descendant’s generations liberty, liberty to become poets, free, who can stand upright*

The greatest demonstration of freedom in the history of the nation. Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. A great beacon light of hope. Seared in the flames of withering justice. One hundred years later, the ***** still is not free. We’ve come to our nation’s capital to cash a check. This note was the promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white, men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Now is the time to make real promises of democracy. Now is the time to make injustice a reality for all of God’s children. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the ***** is granted his citizen rights. In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. You have been veterans of creative suffering. Go back, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. I say to you today, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. A deeply rooted american dream. A dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” I have a dream where little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the context of their character. I have a dream today! That little black boys and girls, will be able to join hands with little white boys and girls as brothers and sisters. I have a dream today! The rough places will be plain and the crooked places will be made straight, “and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together." This is our hope. This is the faith I go back with. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. Intolerant to Tolerance (Poem by Serenus) They tolerate your gayness You should be so glad That they’re not indifferent to your difference They’re not the one’s calling you F*g They tolerate your blackness Racism… They’re much bigger In their minds They’re colorblind They’ve never uttered The word N*gger They tolerate your religion Muslims, Jews, And Christians Believe what you want to believe They tolerate your decision They tolerate your opinion They tolerate your facts They tolerate your voice They even let you talk back They can stomach you as a person Isn’t that honorable? Doesn’t it feel great… To be so tolerable? We all need to pull together And strive to be prosperous It’s time to move forward And be intolerant to tolerance.

Intolerant to Tolerance
I'm a democrat and republicans want this war to continue. People needs to wake up! I'm a republican and democrats want to keep spending despite our failing economy. People needs to wake up! I'm a Christian and Jesus will be coming soon. The Non-Christians and non-religious need to wake up! I'm a radical Muslim and the west is going to take over. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm a atheist and the religious radicals are trying to take over the country. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm a bigot and gays, Jews and blacks are taking over. People need to wake up! I'm an optimist and the world will recover. Pessimists need to wake up! I'm a pessimists and the world is messed up. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm a teacher and school is necessary for society to function. Kids need to wake up! I'm a vegan, because eating of and torturing of animals is inhumane. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm not a vegan because animals are needed for our survival. Vegans need to wake up! I'm anti-school and school is a prison. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm a racist and other races will take over. My people need to wake up! I'm an anarchist and the government is robbing us of our rights. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm pro-government and society needs order. Anarchists need to wake up! I'm an environmentalist and we are harming the planet. Mankind needs to wake up! I'm anti-environmentalism and the earth is fine. Environmentalists needs to wake up! People, wake up!! I'm a 9/11 truther and 9/11 was created by the government. I'm against truthers and 9/11 was caused by terrorists. Truthers need to wake up! I'm a conspiracy theorist and the government is hiding things from us. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm against animal testing because its unethical. People need to wake up! I'm for animal testing because we need to make sure our inventions work. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm a sexist and the opposite gender is taking over. My gender needs to wake up! I'm a creationist and evolution is a lie. Everyone needs to wake up!! I'm a scientist and creationism is a lie. Creationists need to wake up! I'm anti-capitalism because it robs people of their money. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm pro-capitalism because most wealthy nations are capitalists. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm pro-death penalty because some people need to die. Everyone needs to wake up! I'm anti-death penalty because criminals are people too. Everyone needs to wake up! Wake Up

Before we were Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, we were all human. The funny thing is that we still are We have just forgotten it... We are all human, regardless of religion and race If you can't accept this simple concept even say good bye to globalization and internalization and be in your comfort zone... safe and sound...

Aren't we all human?
The Jewish brothers in Defiance were definitely tough. One wanted to **** many Germans, the other to save many Jews. The German soldiers were expendable, unmarried, unremarkable. Each little death was very little, a little spittle in a big wind. Fast forward to my friend's son's bar mitzvah or daughter's coming of age ceremony. Food is abundant, the music frenetic, the rabbi paid. Gifts generous but not obvious. Wealth does not obviate death and we know it. Here too we have natural leaders. Youth basketball coaches, school principals and, again, interpreters of prayers. When violence comes to the neighborhood they are who we'll first look to for governance and guns. Unless have you read The Admirable       Crichton? Boredom, boredom conflated with loneliness, may be a sign of good luck. To live a good length or light year away from man's bad breath, allergenic perfumes, sickening flatulence and shed hair. But you are drawn back into the debate about perfection by your own       ******** While teaching at the old city jail I have learned this: only meditation upon the periodic table can save your soul. From itself. Imagining the world without the self will make you whole. What else is there to say. Do less until one thing's done well. After the war the brothers started a small trucking company in the Bronx. Grateful for such peace, the accounting was relaxing. They thought back to how they met their wives, naked before the bombs and bullets. How they lost and found themselves in       what happened.

Defiance

The name Theodore has its Greek anthropologies, Jewish anthropologies and also Germany anthropologies. The Greek anthropological perspective of The name Theodore indeed has something to do with the gods.However, the Greek way of looking at life was a frustrated thinking.To them everything was a god. It is a name of a male person  signifying extra-masculine behavior. I also write poetry in Deutsch, so i know  substantial cultural values of the people of Germany.  Like in this case the modern  social  naming systems . An auburn-haired newbie fanes camoflage peeking over two pages of Obituaries she never intended to read. Her raised and nearly detached eyebrows hover above the dateline like a magic trick. And on every table fall scattered leaves of press print trees unsorted and littered with intent by careless absorbers of trivia. Disconnected ear-budded footnotes of humanity see nothing hear nothing using the disarrayed World News as enormous coasters unmoved by hyper-ventilating compulsives pushing panic buttons through desperate quests to uncover one alphabetically organized set of local news. Of the papers not strewn the remnant holds anxious on a distant wall a throng of flopping rabbit-eared step children dangling precariously from unaccomodating magazine racks like smoky orphans from windows in a fiery building. Disordered. Disrespected. Discarded...words are Jews in the holocaust. Death of a voice. We are irreverent in our silence diminishing genius through apathy put off by the imposition to be challenged choosing disposable principles above responsible knowledge. Does evil exist? Well, does it, or not? I demand an answer And if it does, hold that thought Because if wrong does exist We must face the reality That calling something wrong means There's a right way things ought to be But if wrong does not truly Exist in bright colors Well, what, then is justice But a meaningless construct? If the **** of a child In all histories and cultures Can be called pure evil Even by society's worst prisoners If the ****** of innocents Is forever and always An evil in society That can't be tolerated If imprisonment of a woman Like chattel for sale Being held as a *** slave In her own private hell Or murdering Jews Like Hitler's evil plan Or starving millions unjustly In Stalin's Ukraine Or killing the masses For political expedience Culling babies in China Or locking up dissidents If beheading of heretics Is inherently wrong Or even violating your privacy Or invading your home If these are universally bad And there's meaning in words Then there's universal good That our souls are drawn toward Something more than just philosophy Because that lacks authority And if good is defined by the majority Then what about the minority? If morality is nothing more Than just a social contract Then it's just he said/she said And there's no moral compass You see, your compass is as good as mine And that may be fine, generally Until the ****** asserts his own Warped idea of morality What makes his wrong And yours universally right? Does evil exist?
Does evil exist? Well, does it, or not? I demand an answer And if it does, hold that thought Because if wrong does exist We must face the reality That calling something wrong means There's a right way things ought to be But if wrong does not truly Exist in bright colors Well, what, then is justice But a meaningless construct? If the **** of a child In all histories and cultures Can be called pure evil Even by society's worst prisoners If the ****** of innocents Is forever and always An evil in society That can't be tolerated If imprisonment of a woman Like chattel for sale Being held as a *** slave In her own private hell Or murdering Jews Like Hitler's evil plan Or starving millions unjustly In Stalin's Ukraine Or killing the masses For political expedience Culling babies in China Or locking up dissidents If beheading of heretics Is inherently wrong Or even violating your privacy Or invading your home If these are universally bad And there's meaning in words Then there's universal good That our souls are drawn toward Something more than just philosophy Because that lacks authority And if good is defined by the majority Then what about the minority? Tyrants run roughshod When rights come and go At the whims of the powerful Because what they say goes No, evil is something More than laws, or from cultures Or philosophical sophistry From ivory towers To try to stop badness Is really to defend That there's a god of pure goodness Who wants us like him We can discuss who that god is And what is his substance But the least we can do Is acknowledge his existence You can say that religion Starts evil wars and such And you might just be right But you've just proved too much Because if there is no god Whose nature defines goodness Who are you to call war bad Or **** evil, or hate, darkness? Who are you to sit in judgment Of the religious who you think hate you? If there is no moral standard That makes hate wrong, and judging too? But nota bene, note well, remembrances of things swell from your past be the only tongue spoken here.   Code word entry only, a shared whisper. Perhaps One Woman, may reveal its pleasures, if she so chooses, which are: gelato laughs, poetry snaps, Beatle songs sung ensemble, by rag tag strangers self-collected accidentally, sung de rigeur off key by voices lubricated by cognac, laughter, and the coldest of white wines, issue of the very soil upon which we sit.   Words to value properly, not in my possess to capture the few moments in time when; Strangers transform themselves into a triple A nation united, that will never be S&P; downgraded. A holy alliance celebrating July 4th all night long, all participants signatory witnesses to its gelato conception, as well as pallbearers to its last drink dissolution, the fullness of its lifetime a vintage of a few hours extant, a vintage, once drunk, is a history, forever gone. Mixologists please record: One playwright, a psychologist, bond trader and a social scientist with a dash of museum director, and do not forget the Hundred Year Old Woman, whose Dowager Princess Daughter (she, a mere eighty)' from Central Park West clarifies all of life dilemmas with the singular analytical tool of: But is it good for the Jews? **But t'is the barkeep who is the leavening in this evenings human pastry-petrie dish.** He makes the pastiche,         the ions of personalities, coalesce best, guitar strummer, singer of songs that were our multiple national anthems when we were pseudo-rebels starting out on our long and winding roads.   Long the King of the Keep! Long live the memory of our Gelato Nation, may it stay sweet in our antique collection of the best moments of our intersecting lives. July 2011

What’s in a name? It is what turns heads It can cause a quiver in your body Or a smile to curl onto your lips. A name can be tarnished Or reborn. It can make you stand out from the crowd Or join the masses. It is more than what society deems A socially acceptable form of Introduction. So let me introduce myself: I used to feel my name in harsh syllables Rooted in the language of my people’s history. MAR or MIR meant bitter. Like having the wrong taste in your mouth Reminding me of MARor – Eaten on Passover to remember how burdensome, Difficult and bitter the Jews’ slavery in Egypt was. IAM (YAM) – ocean. Tumultuous, never still. Always swirling and scaring children out of it. MIRIAM – my Hebrew name. Bitter sea. I grew into that name resentfully. I reacted when I was called that by fellow classmates, For what else could I do? But time went by And I began collecting seashells by the seashore. The ocean became a treasure and my name Had a new ring to it. Yet when eighth grade graduation came around I was given the option Of writing Mariya instead of Miriam. I was going to high school where I didn’t know anyone. So no one needed to know my bitter past. I also learned that a name was not made up of syllables But of sweet sounds. Mmm – like the taste of something so delicious your eyes close And you feel yourself melting. Aaa – you’ve just finished your meal and on this hot summer day You find solace in the cool water running down your back in the shower. Rrr – racing, running, reaching for the sky. That’s the sound I want my plane to make when I can hold a piece of Cloud in the palm of my hand and feel its silver lining. Iii – the sound of “and” in many languages. The sound of something more, Reminding me that this is not the end. Ya – the sound of agreement and conclusion. As if that is all I have to say…so yeah.
