*The poverty of yesterday was less squalid than the poverty we purchase with our industry today. Fortunes were smaller then as well.* (The Elderly Lady) After a while you learn the subtle difference Between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning And company doesn’t mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts And presents aren’t promises, And you begin to accept your defeats With your head up and your eyes open With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child, And you learn to build all your roads on today Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn… That even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your garden and decorate your own soul, Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure… That you really are strong And you really do have worth… And you learn and learn… With every good-bye you learn. {…} *As I think of the many myths, there is one that is very harmful, and that is the myth of countries. I mean, why should I think of myself as being an Argentine, and not a Chilean, and not an Uruguayan. I don't know really. All of those myths that we impose on ourselves — and they make for hatred, for war, for enmity — are very harmful. Well, I suppose in the long run, governments and countries will die out and we'll be just, well, cosmopolitans.*    --J. L. Borges

The downward momentum is clear to me now. The engine has built up a full head of steam. I’d try to stop it, if I knew how. The fires of industry must burn on somehow; they tend to burn brightest when fuel is extreme. The downward momentum is clear to me now. When currents are surging, we shouldn’t allow the jingoist fringe to swim in the mainstream. I’d try to stop them, if I knew how. Civility means more than I can avow, but poems can only allude to a theme: The downward momentum is clear to me now. Each click of a mouse that shouts holier than thou is a cog in a treacherous clockmaker’s scheme. I’d try to stop him, if I knew how. We worshipped the circuit and forsook the plow in search of a false technological dream. Our downward momentum is clear to me now. I’d try to stop us, if I knew how.

If I Knew How
From Alan Lomax to the commercial art and now the money machine. At the turn of the century; when sound recording 1st became available to the masses, recording a song was an opportunity for folk to reach out; and tell the world something up front and personal. It meant that people were able to put themselves on “The record” A way of leaving a permanent audio statement, an epitaph, an audio sound bite immortalising ~ life, mood, emotion captured and bottled for all eternity. (A medium that conveyed messages from artists and storytellers of all kinds) A recording was also a great addition to "The family album" something more tangible, a window to a real person, with a real life, a message and a point of view; a legacy, a blast from the past. Few people expected sound prints to be re-designed, homogenised, formulated, copied, repackaged and that art and the message would be played over and over again by new artists in the form of "cover music" or that the style of the messages would become secularized, seperated into distinctive groups, or constrained by an elite clique or commercial genre. Labelling and streamlining art & music mostly benefits the commercial art & music industry; and no longer the artists and creators. I've no problem with good business, or the multi-billion pound industrys that have gained commercial success. However the process of mass homogenisation, product synthesis, marketing, streamlining and then packaging fashion, sound and synthetic culture to sell a product, leaves very little room for creative people to just be creative. A medium originally open to many for self expression, a historical record, an archive, a voice, a personal message; Is now just a vehicle for advertising and perpetuating a genre of nonsense, so much so that there is now more white noise immortalised than messages. To re-cap ~ I Think that creativity and expressionism; like story telling conveys moods and messages from the present and past! Artists and musicians should have the opportunity to create and produce more information than they copy; thus creating a richer more colourful tapestry, whilst not devaluing the message of their predecessors! Behold! The great Leviathan, with teeth of steel, with feet of clay. Subjected to this giant's whim, the sweet sojourn of life decays, Infected now, we lie and skim; while markets mire mother's way, rejected reason, presses on, to try again another day.

Industry
Too long this rot has run its course, too much the damage done When men deflect acknowledged glance, they know that wrong has won. Across this land and far afield the wrongness seeps within And pride becomes a memory through distant halls of spin. How can we bow to tyranny, how can we shy away From that which causes  eyes to slide.... and coaxes will to sway? To tolerate the bombast, the bullying, the lies Succumbing to a hopelessness, which, both we despise. Division in the nation, uproar in between A man and wife’s contention-ness beyond what should be seen Brothers loathing brothers, silence in the room Where a word  uttered wrongly can erupt to screaming soon. Allies left in tatters, trust is cut to shards Tariffs injudiciously, imposed to **** the cards. International uproar, industry in strife Teetering disastrously when NATO flees the knife. Putin sits and rubs his hands, hilarious the show Disorder and disharmony to lubricate his glow. Beijing sits inscrutably, always opportune Manoeuvring judiciously, in place, to call the tune. America, the isolate, sails away to sea Blondini, at the helm, wears smirk indulgently. M. The White House HAMILTON NZ 12th July 2018

‘We live with forest’ and ‘forest live with us’! Tallest tree of the forest is the symbol of our hope, The Python is our messenger of past, Blossoming flower of grassland are our depiction of smile, Birds are the our fortune teller, Earthworms are our marker, Butterflies are our messenger of worship, We design our life with them, They are our image of clan and family, We can’t live without them, Our aspiration is tuned with their respiration, We are cheerful with them! *** Now, out of the blue, you arrived and say we are poor! So, you will build industry for us and give job to us! But for that, You occupy our land, our forest, our friends and respiration, We never thought! ‘You are such a pitiable’ That you can’t build anything without our forest, But you say, ‘we are poor’! **** Please, go away from our blessed place Don’t wipe out our friend! We are rich and happy with the blessing of our friend There is no need of your industry, Please go away Leave us alone we will design our destination.

Society is so focused on being flawless. Perfect. No one is flawless, not even Beyonce. We will forget who we are on the inside, and soon that won’t even matter because the physical appearance is the main priority. Women these days are spending so much effort trying to look perfect, which hurts. Pretty hurts. Society is expecting women to look perfect, otherwise people will judge. ‘Perfection is a disease of a nation’. The showbiz industry is giving a negative message to the world. Photoshop is one of them. Making a celebrity look flawless is fooling the world into thinking we must look like that. Spending so much money on clothes, hair etc. but we don’t need to focus on that because all that matters is on the inside, which most people don’t seem to see anymore. We are constantly getting the messages in our mind that we must be flawless, and sooner or later, this is a disease. Some of us can’t take it anymore, which leads to anorexia, bulimia, insecurities, and issues with body image. Pain also takes over our minds, which is ridiculous. Even celebrities have gone through this because in our naïve little minds, we are thinking we have to be pretty. There is so much pressure it takes over our minds, and that’s the only thing we think about. We look into the mirror despising ourselves, because we are who we are. Society has created us into thinking there’s a certain way we must look, which there is not. Our flaws make us who we are, makes us positively different. Unique. But we aren’t allowed to think that way because the media isn’t allowing us to. When people change, they are only cheating on themselves because media displays images of what we should and shouldn’t look like. It’s not their fault though. They can’t help it. Changing, like getting botox or body implant is only giving us a masquerade. It’s a mask to hide our real, inner beauty, which the media has taken the idea away from us, to become people who we actually aren’t. And in the end, we know that pretty hurts. a.a.

‘…. and now, here’s Rick with the latest Market news…’ ‘Val, trading was very brisk today, with a number of influences that set the market off to some defined trends and statements. Of course, the Human Virtue Exchange always seems to rely on the volatility that resides ‘between the ears’ as noted by the veteran brokers on the floor, but the sharp ranges of prices offered versus profit taking has set the bar very high in the relative value of Basic Human Virtue. Now to the numbers: Courage [WHOME], Patience [PP], and former market darling Perseverance [GULP], all varied widely today on news from Washington that their value was doomed to fall in the light of the expected growth of Persistence [IAM] which history has shown to be a marked drag on just about everything. Outside of the self –efficacy bazaar, old standbys Ambition [HVY], Curiosity [WDF], Industry [HAHA] and Temperance [BFD], continued their free fall into uncharted areas of cost and return. Some analysts feel these virtues could be a real bargain in the future despite their history of poor performance. Could a comeback not seen since collapse of the Protestant Hypocrisy Era be in the works? We’ll see as the lack of movement in the Kindness-Generosity-Forgiveness-Compassion Index [FARAWAY] leads many to believe that the end of Politeness [UPYRS], Un-pretentiousness [ME-ME], Self Control [NWAY] and Sportsmanship [LONGONE], may lead to a complete miss-understanding between casual market players and devotees to the cause. The ratios cannot lie. But without a doubt, today’s big winner was Self Respect [YUP] which jumped and amazing 40 points before active trading ceased at the bell. So people feel real good about themselves for reasons that cannot be explained by the Ego File Indicator alone; this causes this reporter to predict that Naval Gazing [MOM] remains a ‘Hot to Trot’ stock fund and the Vanity market is always a good bet. Now, here’s Carl with today’s Human Emotion Exchange report……’

Struggle
As I began school I was a year behind in age in intelligence in everything but I was determined to make it work I refused to let them bring me down and make me feel like I was less now nothing can stop me that determination from the beginning has helped me stay ahead of the game and brought me here where I am today

Industry vs. Inferiority
Steam rises from the blocks of industry beyond the immediate trees; a thin white veil cloaking the city like a bedsheet. And you waking, displacing your head about apathetically trying to light a smoke with sunlight - this linear love on a tangent, golden, some ornament. Everything up then falling each morning, with light tethered to the ceiling while you lay still dazed from dreaming, the day breaks unassuming.

We are a puzzle with missing parts That is why we make art It is a healing start We are all dream chasers Until pencil meets eraser Until boat meets glacier Reality we must face her When we sacrifice imagination For societal integration We search for placation In lonely play stations And through vacation We experience migration When the results are doubtful And the response a drought mold Because people are skeptical Until there's a shiny scepter sold Then you're put on a pedestal And have your pecker pulled By various industry tools Loading you like a mule With expensive jewels Art must be the only motive Not climbing any totem Because once you're dead Your art can still be read Audiences may still be fed But there's a frivolous influence So you must be vigilant and prudent To cut that from your life So art may be your wife That works to end strife Yet that kind of help You can't put on a shelf I strive to make my art timeless Though my pockets are dimeless We live in a world of depression That carries the risk of regression My art could help push past it Now that would be classic

The Lego men. Sat in the toy box playing with their bricks. Johnnie the little fella took them out to play Daddy put a board in the garden just upon the patio. What was just a piece of ply grew before Johnnie's eye. He tipped them out onto the board. Went inside to fetch a drink and get a spot of near noon brunch. A thriving hive of industry, was hidden in his plastic box. He came back outside and all was built. Castles and gardens, palatial palaces. The Lego men had built a perfect village. Nobody knew they could. Just a little shocked. His little sister Jennifer, she hid behind the garden wall. It wasn't the work of the miraculous Lego men after all. Who would ever have believed that the toys came out to play. (C) Livvi

At the "K-Fashion Conference for Malaysia" in Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 16, a group of Korean professionals gave lectures under the topics "K-Fashion Design Trend Transition & Forecast," "Digital & Online Marketing Strategies," "Power Brand and Concept Development Strategies" and "How to enter the global market." The Korea Fashion Association, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the event to strengthen the competitiveness of Malaysian fashion brands by improving the added value of the industry through brand development. About 50 Malaysian fashion industry companies and related government officials attended. "There is growing interest in K-fashion, along with the high popularity of Korean dramas and entertainment shows, making this workshop even more timely and meaningful," ASEAN-Korea Centre Secretary General Kim Young-sun said. "The Malaysian fashion industry has huge potential as it is currently ranked in the top five in the ASEAN fashion industry." On Feb. 15 and 17, Korean experts visited local fashion merchandisers for market research and consultations. According to the ASEAN-Korea Centre, the Malaysian fashion industry has had massive growth with the expansion of Islamic fashion markets. MATRADE aims to boost the industry as the nation's leading exporter. It has been organizing Malaysia Fashion Week (MFW) since 2014 to make the capital a fashion destination in Asia. The second MFW in 2015 featured designers from more than 15 countries, and over 300 booths showcased the quality products of Malaysian fashion brands to the domestic and foreign trade, accodring to the organization. The ASEAN-Korea Centre is an intergovernmental organization established in 2009 with an aim to promote exchanges among Korea and the 10 ASEAN member states.Read more at:www.marieaustralia.com/bridesmaid-dresses | www.marieaustralia.com/long-formal-dresses

Hell no, you don't want to be compared to one of those models idolized in magazines. True beauty lies outside the fashion industry’s visual constructions. Fall in love with what you never expected to love, imperfection. Brand-less self expression. There are no cameras or flashing lights there or visual effects. We come in different range of sizes. Shame on shallow marketing. A pretty face can have nasty vices. Hearts of Gold, now those aren't sold. - C.Ek

783 The Birds begun at Four o’clock— Their period for Dawn— A Music numerous as space— But neighboring as Noon— I could not count their Force— Their Voices did expend As Brook by Brook bestows itself To multiply the Pond. Their Witnesses were not— Except occasional man— In homely industry arrayed— To overtake the Morn— Nor was it for applause— That I could ascertain— But independent Ecstasy Of Deity and Men— By Six, the Flood had done— No Tumult there had been Of Dressing, or Departure— And yet the Band was gone— The Sun engrossed the East— The Day controlled the World— The Miracle that introduced Forgotten, as fulfilled.

Because the thirst wouldn’t simmer; it ruptured cities into boils, turned cultures into armies, an armageddon of cheeky stubborn Irish Catholics and thick veined Germans couldn’t imagine a world without their stout hearty headed pint. Because white dry protestant angels thought crime existed in a vacuum, in a filthy saw-dusted saloon, the hub spawn of evil. Because twice as many of those saloons were ******* by unlicensed blind pigs, not through free swinging doors on the streets, but in the domestic sphere; in the dark crept crevices of household sanctuaries.   Because bootlegging capitalist princes turned the industry into a stenchy liability with their home brewed distilled poisons. Alky cookers wrapped the commodity fetish and dubbed it moonshine. Moonshine – spirits for the poor and blind. Because this social reform was a moral reform lost in the oblivion of politics, lost in the timeliness of progressive spring-cleaning referenda’s. Because the ragged, toothless class had to be scold, striped clean of their traditional barings, because wisdom is everything and they’re spirits ran vilely wild.

Why the 18th Amendment was a Joke
1682 Summer begins to have the look Peruser of enchanting Book Reluctantly but sure perceives A gain upon the backward leaves— Autumn begins to be inferred By millinery of the cloud Or deeper color in the shawl That wraps the everlasting hill. The eye begins its avarice A meditation chastens speech Some Dyer of a distant tree Resumes his gaudy industry. Conclusion is the course of All At most to be perennial And then elude stability Recalls to immortality.

American Democracy is setting a trend: American Democracy is a Sitcom, or perhaps a Game Show of demagogic, narcissistic sociopaths tricking and manipulating the Public via various sources in a highly consolidated Media industry into thinking they vote for a particular flavor of Tyranny when in reality Today's flavor of Tyranny is all decided for you because the burden of Choice is far too stressful for the Moderner without proper medication, and the power of Choice may require some sort of educated critical Thinking, some sort of re-edification which is far too much for us to handle in this socially sanctioned doped-up state and with such an intentionally failing Education system from K through 12 and beyond. With American Democracy, We have a grand Illusion of Choice. It's so convincing that many believe the Illusion is True. (Sort of like hew we think of Reality, but with Choice of Government!) For American Democracy, They don't want mass Education. They don't want mass Edification. They don't want Critical Thinking; Those things prevent a Control by few. In American Democracy, They intentionally destroy progresses made, like Rights, They perpetuate stigmas about things like genders and the concept of "race" itself They propagate Terror as their Sheeple scream from the sidelines for more They defile the sanctity of Human Experience, of Reality itself and chain us to a system that benefits only a few while destroying everything else, like Climate and Environment. These Demagogues are Satan, if Satan is real: They tempt us with the things we don't need, filling us with Stress, Desires, Prejudices and Fears, and ceaselessly wage war on institutions of Education, all the while keeping us from finding the things we already have within each of us. This System of American Democracy has degraded into a  corrupted fractal of the ages-old ways of Tyranny and Terror: Aristocracy, Plutocracy, Patriarchy, Oligarchy, Kleptocracy, Demagoguery, Bankocracy, Corporatocracy, Fascism; Tell me, What is the ******* difference? I mean, even Adolf ****** was elected democratically under the pretense of "Change" then, for weeks later, suspended civil rights indefinitely after a likely false-flag 'attack' on the Reichstag in 1933, (for which the Nazis blamed the communists.) under the pretense of "Security": Demagoguery runs Amok Among disedified Minds. They say "Freedom" and "Democracy" as if it vindicates their Totalitarianism.
