"imminent" poems
I'm explaining to the people of the world What Fate of Ten stands for And my persistent craving for books Bur does it look as if they understand? No They don't And that's the problem Of the dark world I'm finding myself in And that's the problem Of a world full of people that doesn't read Something I thought would've Changed When the things named 'e-books' arrived Because everyone was crazy That our world turned 'technological advanced' And everyone turned a blind eye From the comforts of the past There was always this people That said 'Technology will make your life so much better' But now I've come to believe that We act as if we're worshiping it And cherishing the fact that 'Our life's made easier' But rather We are blinded By the Imminent Torture Of the Future

Books vs technology (just a poem)
The distant hollow of the high mountain pass swallows the setting sun as it steals away southbound behind the coastal mountain's tangerine sunset hued silhouettes Mulberry plashed shadows pointing northward across the evergreens outstretched dimming, beneath the waning fade of each fleeting eventide Sundown ebbing asunder the wafting daylight, each gloaming of the day, helplessly a moment sooner past, transfixed further south beyond yesterday's passing azure The lazy days of summer escape unbounded, nomadic as the sea I've seen sail away before; evanescent as the beauty of the bloom summer days beheld and the memory of the fragrance they exhale The nebulous weight of the gravity is consciously denied by the truths a human heart beholds A moment’s epiphany afflicts like a rogue wave in a calm sea; the only thing my heart ever wanted remains out of reach Everything my heart needs consciously surrendering to the poignant passing moment's beauty, the falling sun at distance sets more suddenly now Lost in the undeniable certainty life's imminent season's change Eyes drawn stubbornly from presence to a sky so far away, knowing there'll be no restitution for the welling sense of loss... A bitter sweet song mummers in the silence of the absorbing spell, summer's sun stained pages of watermarked soul scribbles, time tattooed reparation for the indelible ache of a harsh grey winter loneliness Perhaps too familiar, this whelming Déjà vu that tears my soul;     that tugs at these roots but cannot sever their sacred grasp But for now, eyes fixed to the sun's inevitable tightening tether hence — to wear weary each fraying thread's  impending break Each sunset leans a deeper angle southward as it slips down through the firwood shadows; illuminating other faraway latitudes far beyond the distant horizon skies The preordained continuum unfolding what will be ... someone you used to know ... Each Sunset Leans Farther Southward

like that pill bitter Sunday morning (after) with a nauseating hack the previously uneventful Tuesday derailed in surrealistic tale with Auntie and Jack (and a quarter of fate) in the 748 on a night flight from Sherwood to Lore reverberating waves of imminent summer haze river flats and flower fields fly weights and silver bait shredders and shysters and open gates (into those everlasting and sweated journeys of hope) bloods and strays and florentine grays (reminiscent of Rockwell fame) running horses and overgrown country lanes morning grace and gentle cheer eyes clear on the river pass *blunted paddles for those ancient and not so willing suckers!* duke making his own way (to the corner club) Parsons and Poe stream from the torn screen door cricket cadence and symphony of the Deere calm and deliberate in the soft and silent fields meadows open for grazing (guineas scamper across the till) pocket apples fill the country ripe air drunken bees and chestnuts and electric fingers strike the surface pool (a cedar strip wedged on the white wash dock) baited bull heads set to cast evenings with hearts and Nolten Nash may flowers bloom across the grass ~ time unmatched ~ with blue jays and river bends and channel cats ...and that warm and recurring Coleman drift

Reinaldo was the name they gave the great white elephant Who came to clear the jungles around Sao Paulo A clever notion that because Reinaldo was born in the jungle Any jungle would do just fine, Brazilian or Siamese made no difference Just as clever was the notion that because I was a black man, educated I would do just fine directing other black men to do work, English or Portuguese made no difference Was I truly so much a fool, twice over? Reinaldo occasionally was afflicted with slothfulness Some of the men thought it was from lack of **** and whip I was of a mind that it was due to lack of companionship It was costly enough to ship one giant beast across a great sea I left a wife, in Maryland, whom I never loved and who never loved me I admit before the plan was in motion I never considered that Reinaldo could have a family Sometimes, I wonder, did he have a wife who never loved him? Loneliness became a common theme in our new home away from home And Reinaldo and I became friends, at least I thought of him fondly As far as I could say, of all the men he responded best to me At times it seemed a load of lumber was hauled as a personal favor For the handler too soft to handle with fear and anger But as much as loneliness was a theme, so was change, and death The lifespan of an elephant compares to the lifespan of men Were this scheme of mine to have worked as desired I could have sent for a cow, and made Reinaldo a sire Soon it was revealed that slothfulness was a symptom of an elephant young, healthy and wise Who sensed not his own, but a friend's imminent demise Now I am left to wonder how Reinaldo will fare in a world stranger than I could have known His softest handler and only friend bedridden, waiting for my disease to take its final toll

Tomato: Big, juicy, red INSANE! Sneaks up upon unsuspecting Unreliable MATH TUTORS! A terrible fight ensues! Tomato or tutor? Tutor or tomato? Tomato knows no math. Tutor has no seeds. A standoff. Tutor and tomato growl menacingly, Circling one another Like two pieces of meat On a microwave turntable. Suddenly, their rhythmic dance of Hate Is broken By the rhythmic sound of incoming Imminent Inescapable Doom. Tutor and tomato are trampled Like a TV dinner On the freeway.

*on the verge of wilderness imminent silence* welcome the sun stroking peaks aglow the thundering falls mist-kissed rain the solitude so rarely reached too often breached stillness loosen untamed words in the native tongue before thoughts unspoken became yours mine ours to the wild bear these cryptic symbols scrawled on my halved heart tokens of longing succor for the lost

This Wilderness
The new definition of forbidden is "attempt to obtain" to try with hopes of success in the game of the insane the outcome is always evident the stakes are always high a battle sometimes imminent but the limit is the sky the game is a labyrinth the goal is undefined looking for the rules? just read between the lines the losers are complaining the sly ones always win if you want to taste the forbidden now's a good time to begin

What is Forbidden?
. Aimlessly wandering    with a feeling of agitation,       caught somewhere between          browsing with interest             and prowling with intent. Distressed and unsettled    like anticipating trauma,       mooching with an emotion          that something is imminent             yet its nature remains veiled. The horizontal line defines a stability and yet, it has started to list off to one side. Tiny perforations promise fragmented logic by osmosis revealing the storm implied. The tap of excitable energy is dripping slow threatening balance with a flood rip tide. Empathy walks with the expectant father pacing and coils of despair knot so deep inside. A nervous anxiety    grips psychology and waits,       caught somewhere between          bleak submissive acceptance             and stark naked panic. © Pagan Paul (22/05/18)

Unsettled
I tore the fabric of space Interrupting my affectionate stalking Spurts of longing, interspersed with spasms of premature ***** In vain, hankering to attain that next level rush *Oh you're a ***** girl aren't you* That's when I was discovered... Her shrieks royally flushing my cheeks with shock -Superseded by pallid chagrin I fumble to bail, Pants entrenched around my ankles Premeditative, Of absent-mind, in haste Prime directive a method of escape Evasion failing Detection: Imminent Reflecting a grim lack of circumspection, accursed ********** Trying to conceal my turgid ******** Her father particularly beyond reason And not fond of my indecency for his daughter Proceeds pummeling me to death with my beloved binoculars Devoid of clairvoyance; I am coincidentally sent outward toward oblivion Bon voyage through the portal Falling facefirst into an abysmal wormhole Its then I voyaged backward through time To the moment of Creation And witnessed the universe **** itself from naught to existence Spewing forth such cataclysmic splendor

Angelic minds, they say, by simple intelligence Behold the Forms of nature. They discern Unerringly the Archtypes, all the verities Which mortals lack or indirectly learn. Transparent in primordial truth, unvarying, Pure Earthness and right Stonehood from their clear, High eminence are seen; unveiled, the seminal Huge Principles appear. The Tree-ness of the tree they know-the meaning of Arboreal life, how from earth's salty lap The solar beam uplifts it; all the holiness Enacted by leaves' fall and rising sap; But never an angel knows the knife-edged severance Of sun from shadow where the trees begin, The blessed cool at every pore caressing us -An angel has no skin. They see the Form of Air; but mortals breathing it Drink the whole summer down into the breast. The lavish pinks, the field new-mown, the ravishing Sea-smells, the wood-fire smoke that whispers Rest. The tremor on the rippled pool of memory That from each smell in widening circles goes, The pleasure and the pang --can angels measure it? An angel has no nose. The nourishing of life, and how it flourishes On death, and why, they utterly know; but not The hill-born, earthy spring, the dark cold bilberries. The ripe peach from the southern wall still hot Full-bellied tankards foamy-topped, the delicate Half-lyric lamb, a new loaf's billowy curves, Nor porridge, nor the tingling taste of oranges. —An angel has no nerves. Far richer they! I know the senses' witchery Guards us like air, from heavens too big to see; Imminent death to man that barb'd sublimity And dazzling edge of beauty unsheathed would be. Yet here, within this tiny, charmed interior, This parlour of the brain, their Maker shares With living men some secrets in a privacy Forever ours, not theirs.

High above dear Maple Street There looms a cold iron curtain of fear That dares to drop and let all the monsters Unleash their dreaded promise of chaos As in Europe despots gift a new World War Trembling parlors hug the radio Hallows Eve: the radio Begins to sing throughout dear Maple Street The Seventh Trumpet declares all out war And that heavy iron curtain of fear Eclipses the sun and invites chaos In vacant hearts of men into monsters Halloween Night: the monsters Now dance to the tune of the radio Raiding the stores, jumping bridges, chaos Entombing the stretch of this blood strewn street Parlors gorging on endless waves of fear Riding hysteria, imminent war O great catalyst of war Twisting the minds of men into monsters Diving your hands in that great pit of fear Now throbbing with screams from the radio No fences nor faces can save Maple Street Now plunged in the throes of sweet sultry Chaos And we call it Chaos This boiling of minds all stewing with war Once masked with humanity on this street Now reveals good neighbors make great monsters Skies of martians (n)or men, the radio Hissing, twists the knobs and tunes in to fear And when that curtain of fear Draws, and shadeless light casts on the chaos And the broadcast fades on the radio And mere fiction rescinds the throne of war What will we make of all of these monsters Scattered about in a daze through the street Where there are minds of fear and war, Chaos reigns and calls to the sleeping monsters; Tune in to Welles’s radio on Sterling’s street.

The shivering eyeglasses lazily coating the ground Break way to the budding of the season. To reincarnate is to live the anomaly, The evergreen boughs bend in the wind. Coalescing crystals form dew on our morn To leave a fresh taste, on lips, on tongue. The time is imminent, but the dawn is young, My white Orchid, born to the sun. Simply, optically, it's to weak to touch Unworthy digits, to blind to see. My scarlet levees, to right to feel. The ivory blossom, to right to be real. Under the canopies, the shimmering outline Moves closer until the mirror cracks And our reflections are polymorphicly one, Our hearts still polyamorously two. I yearn to dream of lucid lavender, The aroma surrounds the dream, still dreamed The scent so real, or so it seemed Encapsulating this moment in amber. Until we sleep, until we fly Together. Our wings open to embrace the quilted high. Our mouths embrace to fill the void, Unleash the magic, bathing us in light Bricks and mortar overlap my thoughts But time alone is not a wall. Time alone, it cannot fall And it still ticks with the beat of my pendulum. Oh flower, oh life, vitality aplenty. Your hideousness, a secret untold, Withers to your beauty, yet to unmold. Le voyage fantasme is here for me now. And now the grains slip between my toes. The sandcastles caress the glass of our hour. It's never too late, but always on time, So before the light fades, kiss me and say "I'll sleep tonight, I'll dream of you." Orchid, my Orchid, love, my love I'll dream with you forever.

Ballad of the White Orchid
The shivering eyeglasses lazily coating the ground Break way to the budding of the season. To reincarnate is to live the anomaly, The evergreen boughs bend in the wind. I yearn to dream of lucid lavender, The aroma surrounds the dream, still dreamed The scent so real, or so it seemed Encapsulating this moment in amber. Until we sleep, until we fly Together. With black leaves and black clocks, I fall and drift as the time I forgot Spirals beneath me, A whirlpool dragging me Down, down, down. It dirties my soul with every turn, Blackens the lessons that I learn, Removes my life that means nothing now. Away I travel. Exploring the world with a sense of unknown, Pitter-pattering on the edge of reason. My doom is inevitable. It is imminent. It is lonely. Alone, alone I press on. I take back the black of the leaves and the clocks, And slow the seconds in the time I forgot. It is now.

Both latter and former, contrary and congruent Neither gas nor solid, the river moves fluid. No end and no beginning, just water moving… swimming… A formless former that is a powerful latter Contradiction through symmetry and space within matter Passively energetic as potential becomes kinetic Transparently reflective and silently phonetic Thermally dynamic and fluidly frantic The waters maintain a static chaos through mathematical mechanics. Mechanically architected and architecturally mechanic Water seems the perfect medium for analysis of a dynamic. Dynamic existence and persistent resistance Statically chaotic seems the architect’s insistence. Equilibriomatic, with addition subtractive Empirical measures fail to analyze the passive. What simply is, simply is… Invincible to mimicry or microcosmic reenactment. Experimental methods seek to unify the synonymous Attempting to prove the objective with a subjective hypothesis. Learn from the water, let its metaphor be imminent…. For the divine externality lies not without, but within it.

Potential Kinetics and Silent Phonetics
Nor thou, Habib, nor I are glad, when rosy limbs and sweat entwine; But rapture drowns the sense and self, the wine the drawer of the wine, And Him that planted first the grape- o podex, in thy vault there dwells A charm to make the member mad, And shake the marrow of the spine. O member, in thy stubborn strength a power avails on podex-sense To boil the blood in breast and brain; shudder the nreves incarnadine! From me thou drawest pearly drink - and in its pourings both are drunk. The Iman drives forth the drunken man from out the marble prayer-shrine. Blue Mushtari strove with red Mirrikh which should be master of the night- But where is Mushtari, where Mirrikh when in the sky the sun doth shine? Now El Qahar to Hazif gives the worship unto poets due : - But songs are nought and Music all; what poet music may define? Allah's the atheist! he owns no Allah. Sneer, thou dullard churl! The Sufi worships not, but drinks, being himself the all-divine. Come, my Habib, the roses blush, the waters gleam, the bulbul sings - To pierce thy podex El Quahar's urgent and and imminent design!

The Atheist
The pain.  The agony.  The tenseness of your body.  The rage.  Everything inside is burning.  Everything raging inside.  Everything out of control.  Everything inside is chaos.  Your body is mad.  Your body is crazy.  Your body is weak.  Your body is terrified.  To cry alone.  To lay alone.  To pray alone.  To die alone.  Rage going crazy.  Rage is on fire.  Rage is mad.  Rage is taking over.  Bliss is sweet.  Bliss is perfect.  Bliss is rare.  Bliss is fleeting.  Fear is hateful.  Fear is terrible.  Fear is common.  Fear is there.  Weakness taking over.  Weakness fighting for you.  Weakness dying inside you.  Weakness is you.  Fighting inside consumes you.  Fighting outside loathes you.  Fighting everywhere reaps you.  Fighting is you.  Failure isn't an option.  Failure is a path.  Failure is in us all.  Failure is imminent.  Leadership is in us all.  Leadership is dangerous.  Leadership is for a good soul.  Leadership isn't meant for all.  Goodness is a great thing.  Goodness is an uncommon thing.  Goodness is hard to find.   Goodness is easy to make.  Brokenness is my thing.  Brokenness makes you stronger.  Brokenness builds you up.  Brokenness defines us all.  Happiness is so amazing.  Happiness makes us better.  Happiness makes us wake up.  Happiness is all we need.  Love is a wondrous being.  Love is only a rarity.  Love will fill your soul with goodness.  Love can make the worst the best.  For us all we shall be happy.  We will all be respectful.  We will all be happy.  We will all fail.  The key is to accept some defeats.  The key is to be all you can be.  The key is to disperse from bad.  The key is to embrace the greatness.
