_~a jump-rope chant~_ Black silk handkerchief, what ya’ gonna’ hide? A pox that knocks on the church’s side. Preacher won’t preach where my daddy died. Angel forgot which soul to guide. Both arms wrapped in moccasin skin, open the gate and let her in! Snake-bone hag with watery eyes, count to ten when the baby cries. One for the moon, and two for sin, three for the teeth with the rusted grin. Four for the girl with the copper cough, dancin' in the attic with the light turned off. Five, six, skillet ticks. Seven, eight, shut the gate! Nine, ten, count again-- bathe him slow and cool the skin. held him close till the fever broke; air curled white from pinewood smoke. Chewed the haw and bit the sage, wrapped his bottle in a bible page. Ghost stood watch on the porch out back, shadow thin and eyes coal-black. Sayin', "I’m fine, don’t mind the cold," "died last spring but ain’t been told."

Copper Cough Charm
HEAR YE HEAR YEIt's a wedding bell for bedding well cause' we're crushin' the illusion of Russian collusion! CNN wets on Russian bedding but Trump bets on Russian wedding, and you're invited to the bridal shower. Punking the monkery, dig the debunkery; from Rasputin to Putin it's time for some straight shootin'. Hillary looks old and glowers at Donald's rumored golden showers. Our media owes US an explanation for streams of steaming urination, but we are willing to forgive and use their wet diapers as debt wipers. My poem's appeal may take a toll, but let its little peal now roll: ****** ****** rings the bell A Fake News warning; time to spell out what was wet with Moscow girls. Putin's putas ?  Wisdom's pearls were pried from Truth's reluctant shell, banishing Hillary straight to hell. None. It's what we want left over from this hag. We now discover beds were dry; it all amounted (all those golden tricks recounted) to less than a tepid bowl of kasha. . . Russia laughed from her summer dacha. InfoWars was on it first while Dems spun lies from false to worst, awarding cash for faked dossiers embellished with the CIA's well-trained performing circus-seal. The FBI endorsed the deal as RINOS horned in on the action: Washingtonian distraction; a democrat-concocted fuss— . . . but we ALL paid Hillary to **** on us.

The day that I was christened-- It's a hundred years, and more!-- A hag came and listened At the white church door, A-hearing her that bore me And all my kith and kin Considerately, for me, Renouncing sin. While some gave me corals, And some gave me gold, And porringers, with morals Agreeably scrolled, The hag stood, buckled In a dim gray cloak; Stood there and chuckled, Spat, and spoke: "There's few enough in life'll Be needing my help, But I've got a trifle For your fine young whelp. I give her sadness, And the gift of pain, The new-moon madness, And the love of rain." And little good to lave me In their holy silver bowl After what she gave me-- Rest her soul!

There once was a man named Beowulf Who was fiercer than a demon or werewolf Except that he had a flaw A dragon made him mortally sore This prologue is prophetic To the ending of this epic So I’ll tell you more Beowulf made his mind up at twenty-three He would race his friend to swim across the sea But fighting many sea monsters is quite trial Beowulf only caught up in the final mile Poor Beowulf, fierce as a werewolf His equal would be hard to find Though Breca nearly beat him He managed to defeat him But he would make up his mind Beowulf made his mind up in his head He would battle Grendel until one was dead But even though his strength could cause a lot of harm Beowulf only severed Grendel’s left arm Poor Beowulf, fierce as a werewolf His equal would be hard to find Though Grendel he had saddened Beowulf wasn’t gladdened And he would make up his mind Beowulf made his mind up then and there He’d **** Grendel’s mother in her watery lair Although the angry tarn-hag had put up a fight Both monsters were beheaded that very night Poor Beowulf, fierce as a werewolf His equal would be hard to find He took a child and mother Like Cain had killed his brother But he had made up his mind Beowulf made his mind up when he was old To slay a raging dragon of whom he’d been told But Beowulf couldn’t deal with the dragon’s fire And he was later burned atop a funeral pyre Poor Beowulf, fierce as a werewolf His equal would be hard to find He once was a great hero And now his worth is zero But he would make up his mind

a poem about coca cola
When I put her out, once, by the garbage pail, She looked so limp and bedraggled, So foolish and trusting, like a sick poodle, Or a wizened aster in late September, I brought her back in again For a new routine-- Vitamins, water, and whatever Sustenance seemed sensible At the time: she'd lived So long on gin, bobbie pins, half-smoked cigars, dead beer, Her shriveled petals falling On the faded carpet, the stale Steak grease stuck to her fuzzy leaves. (Dried-out, she creaked like a tulip.) The things she endured!-- The dumb dames shrieking half the night Or the two of us, alone, both seedy, Me breathing ***** at her, She leaning out of her *** toward the window. Near the end, she seemed almost to hear me-- And that was scary-- So when that snuffling ****** of a maid Threw her, *** and all, into the trash-can, I said nothing. But I sacked the presumptuous hag the next week, I was that lonely.

Eternity
Deeming that I were better dead, "How shall I **** myself?" I said. Thus mooning by the river Seine I sought extinction without pain, When on a bridge I saw a flash Of lingerie and heard a splash . . . So as I am a swimmer stout I plunged and pulled the poor wretch out. The female that I saved? Ah yes, To yield the Morgue of one corpse the less, Apart from all heroic action, Gave me a moral satisfaction. was she an old and withered hag, Too tired of life to long to lag? Ah no, she was so young and fair I fell in love with her right there. And when she took me to her attic Her gratitude was most emphatic. A sweet and simple girl she proved, Distraught because the man she loved In battle his life-blood had shed . . . So I, too, told her of my dead, The girl who in a garret grey Had coughed and coughed her life away. Thus as we sought our griefs to smother, With kisses we consoled each other . . . And there's the ending of my story; It wasn't grim, it wasn't gory. For comforted were hearts forlorn, And from black sorrow joy was born: So may our dead dears be forgiving, And bless the rapture of the living.

A Song Of Suicide
Come, let me sing into your ear; Those dancing days are gone, All that silk and satin gear; Crouch upon a stone, Wrapping that foul body up In as foul a rag: I carry the sun in a golden cup. The moon in a silver bag. Curse as you may I sing it through; What matter if the knave That the most could pleasure you, The children that he gave, Are somewhere sleeping like a top Under a marble flag? I carry the sun in a golden cup. The moon in a silver bag. I thought it out this very day. Noon upon the clock, A man may put pretence away Who leans upon a stick, May sing, and sing until he drop, Whether to maid or hag: I carry the sun in a golden cup, The moon in a silver bag.

of dark daze
“O ‘Melia, my dear, this does everything crown! Who could have supposed I should meet you in Town? And whence such fair garments, such prosperi-ty?”— “O didn’t you know I’d been ruined?” said she. —”You left us in tatters, without shoes or socks, Tired of digging potatoes, and spudding up docks; And now you’ve gay bracelets and bright feathers three!”— “Yes: that’s how we dress when we’re ruined,” said she. —”At home in the barton you said ‘thee’ and ‘thou,’ And ‘thik oon,’ and ‘theäs oon,’ and ‘t’other’; but now Your talking quite fits ‘ee for high compa-ny!”— “Some polish is gained with one’s ruin,” said she. —”Your hands were like paws then, your face blue and bleak But now I’m bewitched by your delicate cheek, And your little gloves fit as on any la-dy!”— “We never do work when we’re ruined,” said she. —”You used to call home-life a hag-ridden dream, And you’d sigh, and you’d sock; but at present you seem To know not of megrims or melancho-ly!”— “True. One’s pretty lively when ruined,” said she. “—I wish I had feathers, a fine sweeping gown, And a delicate face, and could strut about Town!”— “My dear—a raw country girl, such as you be, Cannot quite expect that. You ain’t ruined,” said she.

The Ruined Maid
Environmental advice from a re-purposed hag: Stop driving cars. Use a re-usable bag. Cook dinner at home. Adopt children, not pets. Don't use plastic cups. Don't eat tuna caught with nets. Don't toss out food-- it becomes methane gas. Stop shopping for clothes; give consumerism a pass. Wear natural fabrics. Turn off extra lights. Use solar cells. Live the days and sleep the nights.

It’s All Hallow’s Eve and there’s little sound, Except for a few goblins dancing around, An old witch creates another evil spell, Summoning demons from down in Hell. The old hag stirs her boiling stew, Adds eye of a newt, and another shrew, The cauldron bubbles over the roaring fire, The smoke rising up, higher and higher. A black cat watches and suddenly screams, It’s enough to haunt anyone’s dreams, The old woman smiles an evil grin, Her wart covered face personifies sin. Looking around the spooky room, Perched in the corner is a wooden broom, Later she’ll get on it, and will take flight, As she rides off on All Hallow’s Night. Somewhere another victim will await, Helpless to control their coming fate, Another body that will soon be cold, Another life that will never grow old. Just another night’s work for an evil crone, It’s what you do when you’re bad to the bone, For another year, she will take leave, And be back again next All Hallow’s Eve. 11-01-14.

All the once upon a time stories that end in happily ever after have the flawless handsome Prince charming who meets the sweetest princess or young maiden who becomes a princess after they marry (typically approximately 12 to 18 hours or so after they meet usually because the sweet young lady was rescued by the Prince because she was singing randomly and dancing around with woodland animals who do her laundry and she fell off of a tower or was attacked by some lady who literally has no job but spends her entire life just being evil for the sake of being evil and yet never starves to death despite the fact that her evil plots never actually allow her to aquire money or food of any sort.) The girl is always polite Everyone loves her She usually has a waistline tinier than a flowerstem And she sees the good in everyone She is also gorgeous 100% of the time Well I am NOT that girl I can't alwaye be polite and perfect I can't even be pretty There are more people that hate me than there are people who can even tolerate me I'm not the likable easy going type I don't have a three inch waist (mainly because that is completely insane) I can't find a way to like every person I'm the jealous ugly stepsister Anastasia in Cinderella I'm the wicked witch in the wizard of Oz I'm the wolf in the three little pigs I'm the hag in snow white and the seven dwarves I'm not the princess in the story But fortunately, I don't need to be because life is not a fairytale And you don't need to be prince charming Hell, you don't even need to be anything like the lists I make about what my dream guy should be like Because really, since when do I know what I actually want? I certainly am always wrong about what I need So here's the deal You love me for me, be loyal, care about me because of my soul first and my looks having nothing to do with it, you give me eternity, And I promise you the same. I don't need you to catch me when I fall off a tower That doesn't really happen much I need you to catch the little pieces of me when I fall apart because the emotions were all too much I don't need a happily ever after And you don't need to be prince charming Because I am not a princess Repost if you are not a princess either Please comment I love to read interpretations of my work and really any other thoughts you may have! :)

The girl is always polite Everyone loves her She usually has a waistline tinier than a flowerstem And she sees the good in everyone She is also gorgeous 100% of the time Well I am NOT that girl I can't alwaye be polite and perfect I can't even be pretty There are more people that hate me than there are people who can even tolerate me I'm not the likable easy going type I don't have a three inch waist (mainly because that is completely insane) I can't find a way to like every person I'm the jealous ugly stepsister Anastasia in Cinderella I'm the wicked witch in the wizard of Oz I'm the wolf in the three little pigs I'm the hag in snow white and the seven dwarves I'm not the princess in the story But fortunately, I don't need to be because life is not a fairytale And you don't need to be prince charming Hell, you don't even need to be anything like the lists I make about what my dream guy should be like Because really, since when do I know what I actually want? I certainly am always wrong about what I need So here's the deal You love me for me, be loyal, care about me because of my soul first and my looks having nothing to do with it, you give me eternity, And I promise you the same. I don't need you to catch me when I fall off a tower That doesn't really happen much I need you to catch the little pieces of me when I fall apart because the emotions were all too much I don't need a happily ever after And you don't need to be prince charming Because I am not a princess Repost if you are not a princess either Please comment I love to read interpretations of my work and really any other thoughts you may have! :)

Can I ascend a poem allegorical? Are Tetley's teabags paradoxical? A teabag is full of strength, Teabag enters moisture at string's full length, Radiating vigour and a pick-me-up, While the tea drinker begins to sup, There is the lonesome teabag, Sodden, drained by old hag, Limp and fatigued, I ponder, intrigued, Are teabags signs sent from above? Are teabags truly true love? Is this a poem allegorical? Used teabags--quite paradoxical!!

ALLEGORY
i wander around your territory, keeping my imprints on your skin. a sigh of relief and a moan of satisfaction take you where nowhere you've been. flicker of my tongue, the tremble in your voice move closer, closer as skin. the smell of your innocence lingers in my senses, the taste of your fear excites me. the look in your eyes turmoil in your stare, the awe in your face humbles my existence. i a mere mortal in your sight, a sight of the past. the past is just a few seconds away. an eternity will unfold, walk my path, uncloak my victim stand in all your glory. your presence hungers my foul reason for living. my tongue on your skin, i taste you you feed me. your eyes provokes my inner peace. what do you see? is it life? or is it death? a swift movement, a tragic death awaits. my doppelganger sees how you live your life, while i cant wait how to end it. the beauty in my voice captivates you. leading you towards your befall. you yourself prepared my feast with your false judgment. i was never your reason to live but you were mine. you cling to my robe the way you cling to your life. too late mademoiselle i had your tombstone made an hour ago. i undress you, and taste your love juice one more time. ecstasy flows down your veins, you moan in gratitude i brought you wrath in return. you cried in a bite-forced. i smelled life, i tasted life but not yours alone. intriguing i say, so i sink both fangs deeper. another blood of total innocence indeed and it tasted just like mine. you saw the horror on my face. you smiled. you ***** you let out a soft dying laugh. delirium hits like a speeding car crashing. i have killed my own you deceived me. you knew my planned deception all along and countered on your own. you ***** old hag! you let yourself get killed so i could **** him. a creature of my own, floating inside your womb.

Tattered and torn, Old, and quite worn. She lives in the street, No shoes on her feet. They call her "Old Hag", Her clothes, but a rag. Children throw stones, Never leave her alone. But somehow she thrives, Lest her will to survive. Despite her poor health, And absence of wealth. She sleeps where she's able, Park benches, old tables, Eats food from trash cans, Her bathroom-- A bedpan. Seeks shelter from rain, Most often in vain. Finds warmth in the winter, From restaurant air-venters. She smiles at the sun, Gives birds half her crumbs, Has only three teeth, To chew what she eats. And each night she does pray, To see a new day. Before she closes her eyes, And quietly dies...

Homeless Old Woman
*I could compare envy to jealousy quite easily but that would be a disservice to envy Not to mention a disservice to jealousy. Jealousy and envy are two distinct emotions And two distinct sins but Envy is both malign and benign. Envy that most unhappy of the sins. And, unhappy I was watching you with her. Envious of her, because she got to touch you Kiss you, need you, love you. I wished misfortune on you every time I saw your joy in each other. I coveted you. I scarcely thought of anyone else. My unhappiness, envy, made me send ill will your way. Intensely petty thoughts of ill. So much it made me unhappy, and yet mattered nil. I'd rendered and reduced you to a possession MINE. Why her? Was I not merry and pretty enough? I desired you above all yet I was the one to fall from grace. I turned inward, into a covetous envious hag. I wanted to deprive you of her for you to see only me, irony. In Dante's Purgatory, the punishment for the envious is to have their eyes sewn shut with wire because they have gained sinful pleasure from seeing others brought low. The only one brought low was me. I gained no pleasure*
