and bright knights



the phoenix spread
her smouldering wings
the Sphinx dethroned
future kings

the Queen of Hearts
a heartless nag
Baba Yaga the stilted
house . the hag

brave Beowulf
dragged down to drown
the monster Grendel
by him was slain

Io was a cow despised
watched by a creature
with one hundred eyes

the lawn is made
a land of gnomes
mushrooms grow
in garden homes

where are
all these things indeed?
they are in books

just look and read!!!

A truly very charming write, Cath... But now, speaking of legends, fantasies, and mythical creatures. Well, as for the Minotaur, he was once a very nice boy. In fact, he used to cut my lawn. But then, he fell into the wrong crowd and started hanging out with the Centaur and the Manticore. Afterwards, rumors have it, he was never quite the same. In truth, I don't know how many times after his hanging out with the Manticore and the Centaur, did the Satyrs and the Phoenix have to bring the Minotaur home - inevitably because he was too drunk to trot or even walk... Boy, oh boy, I gotta tell ya, if it weren't for the Pegasus, the poor Minotaur probably wouldn't even have made it home a good number of times. Yeah, legends have it, that there were times when the Minotaur had no choice but to hitch a ride upon the Pegasus' back... Yet, on the other hand, I once heard that the Minotaur tried to cop a ride home with the Unicorn, but instead, he ended up getting the ultimate goose of a lifetime... Hey, by the way, does anybody out there remember hearing about the time the Minotaur tangled with The Griffin? Sheeze, I'm really interested in hearing just how that ended up? Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard it was one classic story, well worthy of listening to? Man, I just wish that somebody could turn us all on to that story??? Yep, as Mr. Spock would say, "I'm all ears?"
