"ghoulish" poems
Evening shimmers wet with Autumn rain It's sheen reflectors, mirrors, eyes Of cavorting shadows amongst the fey Like city tinsil this Samhain night, Oh how lovely colors celebrate With ghostly kin & youthful lights... With circus-painted skins and facade Of candied ghoulish grins, How sweet & innocent the haunted highs Infects each home, "trick'r'treat" of hymns. Laughter like All's been forgiven, All seems right, again... Though hidden faces -  forgotten sins, Speak sie la vie this holiday, With carved pumpkins, witches' cry, Screams are as illusion as the fright, This Samhain evening’s tide . It's all babes and monsters ball This hallowed eve This Samhain night Tra la li, tra la lay Then tomorrow is Hop tu naa... The days after for all our saints... Come the winter will be white, As the ghosts this Samhain night.

Samhain Night (Repost)
From the outside he is unfinished and grotesque A figure conjured up by a devilish intelligence Out to shock the world with his ghoulish antics For who could find such glee in such contortion But as always poor **** sapiens is off the mark For inside this morbid cask of human digression Lies a trove of bountiful beauty in aesthetic abandon The beauty inside the man is the work of a maetsro Poetry that seizes the imagination is his speciality And music that arrests even the gods is his forte So be not hasty to judge what you see before you Let the scales that blind your inner vision drop off And there before your newly-tutored eyes Will lie an essence of such beauty as you can never imagine Loudly proclaiming the worth of the person inside the shell And how disability is only a layer that when peeled off Unveils the inimitable jewel inside in its range and depth

A Layer to be Peeled Off (Ode to Persons Living with Disability)
I came along to your garden, to see your chillies growing Unaware of what laid in wait, or what was really showing There stood a glass a lidded drink, familiarity of knowing If that's what I think it is, I don't want it overflowing Do my eyes forsake me, is that a fluid from the body Is that froth of a good beer, or from a head that's shoddy Does it look like what it is, a very dodgy toddy! Ghoulish drinks will turn you green, like Goblins are in Noddy What the hell you thinking off, with water that's distilled It smells like the local gents, so it should not be spilled I don't mind a special brew, but this time I'm not thrilled Unusual cocktails are okay, but not ones you have filled Aren't beverages supposed to be, refreshing and thirst quenching ? You say that it's good to drink, but really it's gut wrenching An endless supply you may have, but it should be toilet drenching Don't ever make a wankers drink, by using a fist clenching You wouldn't want this drink on tap, it defies imagination It's just the same as a lady, drinking her own ************ It maybe the water of life, but it's just urination Aqua vitae is not my idea, of a real drink designation Even just the thought of it, makes me feel sick and hazy To drink a glass of this stuff, you must be ******* crazy Well talk about recycling, or are you just bog lazy Is Harvey Denton related, or do you live in Royston Vasey People like to drink sometimes, is there something I have missed You seem to have your own ideas, but with a certain twist A brand new meaning you have brought, to getting yourself ****** Golden showers are one thing, but that's when your sexually kissed There's one thing I'd like to know, so what do you say Why do you think that drinking **** will keep the germs away It cant be very good for you, it's an inside body spray Your just drinking toilet water, hay Jay are you ****** today ?

Samhain (repost)
I wanna have lunch with Poe, at Burger King, because I'm sure he would appreciate how ghoulish that King in their commercial is I don't want him to recite verse while we fill our medium cups with corn syrup nectar--a giant leap down from laudanum I do want to ask about the Cask of Amontillado and being walled in slowly, for eternity for to me that is creepier than all the crimson cream in the Masque of the Red Death I want to know if he likes the fries--will he dare to dip them in scarlet paste we call catsup mostly I want to know if he remembers the alley where he was found, not yet a legend, consumed by consumption and delirium in equal measure and if there were rodents privileged to hear his last whispered words--or even a gasp I am buying, Ed, so grab that Whopper with both bony paws and tell me terrible tales, evermore

Bump bump! What's that? SQUEAK... SQUEAK... Did you hear that? We're not alone, are we.. Ghouls and Goblins are all out tonight, to say hello, to say goodnite. They wish us well, they wish we might, have a very very scary night. They'll jump out and say BOO! and cause a fright. You'll never know where they'll be or what they'll look like. They might be short, they might be tall, they could be fury, they could be bald. There are two things you can be sure of, they all have fangs and glowing yellow eyes to see every movement that goes by... They only come out for one night a year. Can you take a guess? Yes, that's right. It's Halloween! My favorite night What is that you ask? Why is Halloween my favorite night and how do I know what ghouls and goblins look like. I shall tell you so listen close... I too was a child like you, till one Halloween night a man came up to me and told me about ghouls and goblins and what they look like. I didn't believe him and said "Go Away, I can't be bothered with what you say. But...If it's true then prove to me so I too can believe". He said to meet him at the cemetery at midnight, then **** He was gone into the night! The clock struck twelve and off I went into the darkest of nights, all brave and sure that I was right, that there are no such things as ghouls and goblins on this night. There I saw the man who spoke to me next to a tombstone in the cemetery. He glanced my way and then I saw these glowing yellow eyes, and then they were gone. I shook my head and mumbled, "It couldn't be, there are no such things as ghouls and goblins on Halloween". I swallowed hard and said in a stutter, Nnnow ppprove to mmme that there are ggghouls and goblins on Halloween, and tttell me how they'll fffrighten me. He glared at me with a ghoulish smile, then laughed ha-ha ha "it will be a pleasure my child". I then saw something in his eyes that sent a chill down my spine! His eyes turned yellow his teeth were long fangs. I stumbled backwards and began to scream, "Please don't hurt me, I believe!" In reply he said to me.. "I told you my child that we exist. That ghouls and goblins come out on this night to give all you children a great big fright!" From that night on I truly believe in ghouls and goblins on Halloween. You see my children there's one bit that I left out...eh eh eh, is that I too only come out, one night a year... Can you take a guess. Yes that's right! It's Halloween, my favorite night!

In the depths of the night, where shadows creep, Lie tales of darkness, so hauntingly deep. A moon cloaked in mist, a chilling wind's wail, Where spirits awaken, and courage may fail. Beneath gnarled trees, a graveyard awakes, Where restless souls wander, their rest at stake. With hollowed eyes and whispers of despair, They yearn for release from their eternal snare. Amongst the tombstones, a figure does tread, A specter in black, with a cloak like the dead. Her name is Lilith, the mistress of fright, With a wicked grin, she conjures the night. "Oh! Hear my call," she whispers in the dark, As she weaves her spells, leaving her mark. Bats take to the sky, their wings spread wide, Guiding lost souls, to the other side. In the haunted manor, spirits do dwell, Where echoes of laughter turn into a knell. Ghostly footsteps echo down the hall, As the present and past collide and enthrall. The clock strikes midnight, the hour of dread, When the veil between worlds grows thin, it is said. Ghosts emerge from their slumber, seeking release, Their ethereal presence, a haunting caprice. In the flickering candlelight, shadows dance, As witches gather, their potions enhance. With cauldrons bubbling and spells on their lips, They conjure enchantments, with mystical quips. Oh! Beware the night, when the jack-o'-lanterns glow, And spirits arise from the depths below. For Halloween's magic, a captivating lure, Where darkness and mystery forever endure. So, as the moon rises, casting an eerie glow, Embrace the enchantment, let your fears go. For on this haunted eve, when the spirits unite, We celebrate Halloween, in the shadows of night. But tread carefully, for darkness is near, And the spirits are watching, with ghoulish cheer. Enjoy the thrill, the ***** and the fright, On this chilling Halloween night.

Psychic Pain
Between the din of dusk and dawn Runs Sleepy Pillow Lane, Where gators guard the Gates of Thorn And cryptid creatures reign. They glide across the midnight sky Like grime in sanguine sewers; White canines long and talons drawn Spike rodents on a skewer. Gray giants glare from full-moon eyes, A ghastly ghoulish spell; Sweet sleepers swell the wells of Nile While centaurs swing the bell. Horned vipers writhe into your fears Like scythes through strangled weeds; And severed heads of angel hair From shouldered stumps relieved. A putrid pile of newly-deads Awaits the devil's scorn; And legless maggots gorge in beds From which the fly is born. Hungry hyenas howl in packs While circling carrions crow; And chunks of flesh are torn from backs Cracking bones bare below. Scavengers feast on man and beast, No rotting limb is spared; From hanging tongues to napping feet Blood splatters everywhere. Brimstone and thunder fill the air With hail presaging doom; Ten toothless witches shriek and cheer As zombies creep from tombs. Masked mummies stalk with stakes and stones In search of sleeping heads; They crave the skulls and living bones Of bodies slumped in bed. Through R.E.M. you toss and turn And roll on restless wheels; Alas Red Rooster blows his horn To end your grim ordeal.... ~ P (January, 2013)

the circle of life?
The insanity that you left with me with has become all-consuming. It has eviscerated me and I have no organs left, only maniacal thoughts and illness. The lunacy is my epidemic, the madness is my disease. The inferno where my heart once was, supplants the warmth that your wicked love used to fill me with. My mind has been dethroned by ghoulish memories and succubus visions. My two lungs no longer breathe air, but rather intake black roses and expel brimstone. The deranged delirium is my only comfort. The hysteria, in lieu of love, is now what keeps me intoxicated. The most garish part of all, is that I've never felt more alive.

The ****** Beauty of Insanity
I was a chaparone at the All Hallow's Eve dance. Listening to the band play Halloween faves, and watching the eyeballs floating in the punch. The background decor, seems made for Doomsday. Grungy, haunted house theme, hellish ghouls, Gargoyles gone mad, witch's brew, and bats all aflutter. Here and there between the goth and the empath, a psychopath roams, silently stalking his prey, amongst the frightening selection of costumed kids. The mental resilience to survive such horrors, depends on your grasp of reality.  Realizing the lights, the music, the garish dress, meerly decor for this night's festivities. And yet, underlying this ghoulish fun, a sense, a sense of doom, and ********** by something otherly, stalking its prey, seeking that single moment. To bring to light in the dim, ghostly haze, a wickedness yet unknown to those attending. That ever vile teacher, bent on making those around her suffer. We have all seen her, stride the halls purposely, Giant mole on her chin, Ruler in Hand. Striking fear in the strongest of souls. That authoritarian of witches, Ms. Nasher the Head Basher! Run for your LIVESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

The cauldron bubbles and sputters and pops. Odors from a foul witches' brew Fill the mansion. It's called the Nightmare On Pennsylvania Avenue. A ghoulish warlock babbles gibberish, Spreading deceit, anger, and fear. He summons his lackey ghouls to his chamber. They bow to the ghastly profiteer. Their incantations reverberate Through the rooms and down the halls. The din stifles the voices of reason And bounces off the windows and walls. Witches assisting the grisly assembly Grovel and spew nonsensical chatter, While friendly ghosts, horrified, Grab all their belongings and scatter. The leading warlock raises his staff To silence all the ear-piercing shrieking. "Our work here has barely begun," He shouts, "in a manner of speaking. "We have a lot more poison to spread To circulate anxiety and doubt. All we must do is stir the *** To give them something to worry about. "Fan the flames of division and discord. My techniques are tried and true. Keep 'em guessing; then you've got 'em. And then you cater to the chosen few. "We have more rivers to poison, Coastlines to alter, lands to sell, Coffers to fill, coffers to rob, And voices to quiet. Welcome to hell!" The glowering sycophants dance and cheer-- Thirsty for blood, eyes agleam. "Dishonesty is the best Policy," they fervently scream. Oh, it's a frightening Halloween night When one's worst nightmare comes true: The gruesome, macabre, spine-chilling Nightmare On Pennsylvania Avenue. -by Bob B (10-31-18)

animal anger
At the stroke of midnight, When sleep is at its height. A ghoulish mist engulfs the town, Bewitching even the Gothic Parish. Marring its beauty with sinister a frown, Ivied gates forbidding all that is nightmarish. Its tall angels now grotesque gargoiles, Tis when the witches own the sky. Hidden by moonlight, for youth they toil, Decades of immortality, watched with sharp an eye. The towns square, a friendly place, Now expressionless, a face. Rings with its blurry past, haunting, It's residents hiding, whence the hunting. The witches doth confess, The town's too quiet for us to obsess. Begs the darkest one: "Let us recess, to that dark cess, Whence we came from. Tis better to live a day hungry, Than to be denied your place in history !!"

Beach Goths melting into black puddles The tide's coming in It shimmers like a heavy metal Crucifix Paste wasted as it saturates in glitter The sun's warm pallor on the purest white Foundation UV rays penetrate like Guillotines, ghoulish things From a bygone era There's a hearse parked in the sand The tide's coming in For quite a maudlin little oil spill

A brightly lit room still holds darkness. Look deeply, Leopard like sharpness. In a corner or behind the door. Look closely, Maybe under the floor. Look high, look low. Bring a friend, Let the search grow. Look to the wardrobe, Maybe you see it. Pressure building in your lobe. Look under the bed, Creepy crawlies, Infecting your head. Look in the closet, Careful there I say, Untold, unknown, A ghoulish made deposit.

"Thus fought the heroes, tranquil their admirable hearts, violent their swords, resigned to **** and to die." – Jorge Louis Borges, The Garden of Forking Paths stoic labyrinthine sparrow-bone; there is a slalom down your gullet, bayonet curled around your neck, you have a beak, you are lusty-smooth, have rubble for skin, an emaciated infinity: everything is fractal so eat your words they are you are your rusty toenails every footstep is a holocaust there’s genocide under your neurons, watch them flex and shiver. you have soft plastic lips, there is a vacuum in your gullet, a box cutter carving through your adam’s apple: epileptics are just indecisive, when they seize hold their tongues they are their words you are a god are oppenheimer and shiva, pick favorites it doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter flex and shimmer we are just neurons flatlines are not ghoulish nooses, paraplegics are just cowards, move with conviction each step is a genocide, you have wooden teeth and woolen wings, thrashes are a velveteen sunset an edible fog, your stomach is a stomach do not eat the fog just know that someday it will **** you softly and swiftly. it doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter: infinity is not recursive alive is not our default state once is the only route blood makes the blade holy if you cut me i will bleed, i won't blame you just know you were only ever that very moment.

I felt trapped, I couldn't see As a fateful darkness surrounded me It came from nowhere and left no trace It picked my soul as a resting place There I felt it deep inside, Digging my grave before I died Contrary to its ghoulish nature it slept so peacefully One could hardly believe this was the Evil all had feared Meanwhile all around me, The darkness crept so silently So easily deceived By the beast that lay so deep It passed me by… But I saw it glisten in my eye Day by day as time went by I begged and pleaded for it to go To no avail, I should have known It would not listen; there it stayed Inside me as I decayed And as my body began to rot, I felt the thing emerge I tried to fight the Evil One; I tried to fight the urge Until it was lodged far too deep, No chance of recovery I slowly watched my old self go, Could not retain an empty soul It passed me by… Nothing weakened the beast that thrived Inside me as the old ‘me' died My shell crumbled piece by piece Yet my suffering did not decrease My last defences were not forsaken Until the last part of me was taken Forced to surrender I bowed my head My whole body lay there - dead. The Evil One contained in me Now roams loose, completely free A constant reminder to all around: In suppressed souls - Evil is found. Copyright © 2008-2017 KF

Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, And I must rise from the frightening ghoulish depths of darkness, Right in the face of the sun & prevail. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, As I rise from darkness I will outperform many and conquer the difficulties arising, Out of competitive spirit & succeed in the face of glory with each difficulty easing. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, As I defy class-boundaries and become the king of my own small world, Away from this mean society & in the calm peace of loneliness. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, And you must not present me with another obstacle in the path I choose myself, Sweet revenge for the taking after the 7 Seconds that you consumed. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, And my anger is calm enough to not err again in life whatever I may choose, Disciplined it shall be as I break your ritual of carelessly punishing people for their sins. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, I accept all the negatives that I ever have had and work to nullify them, I chose this path for me where I stand against the blizzard of in this hostile snowy world. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, I accept all my weaknesses too as I started my life anew sometime ago as the second life, In revelry I'm not going to lose your track either & let you take over my life in your hands again. Listen O Time! I must perform regally again, I must perform regally again, I must perform regally again...
