#*Can it love you like God loves you, with a love that is better than life? Can it connect you to eternal beauty? Can it save you? Can it redeem you?  Can it lift you out of the miry pit? Can it make you clean enough to finally feel acceptable? Can it delight your soul to the core? Can it take your breath away with its faithfulness to you? Can it paint both sunrise and sunset across the sky to beckon your attention? Can it cause the breeze to blow and gently caress your cheeks? Can it send hummingbirds and wildflowers across your path to romance your heart? Can it parade before you the starry host and call them each by name? Can it probe you to the depths and fill you with itself? Can it rush to your aid riding on the wings of the wind? Can it satisfy your hunger and thirst with bountiful things? Can it give to you feet like a deer that you might dance upon the heights? Can it arrange every detail of your life to draw you and drive you to itself? Can it pursue you with all the resources of the universe? Can it know you through and through and still desire you? Can it raise you up and seat you in the heavenly realms and bless you with every spiritual blessing? Can it supply your every need out of its glorious riches? Can its grace be sufficient for you and its mercy help you in your greatest temptation? Can it pour overflowing comfort into you through all of your troubles? Can it reach down to draw you out of deep waters? Can it set you on an unshakable foundation? Can it bound across the mountains to come to your rescue? Can it make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside still waters? Can it walk with you through the darkest wilderness and never leave you or forsake you? Can it carry you when you are weak or have fallen? Can it let you rest between its shoulders when you are weary or burdened? Can it escort you to heaven’s banqueting table and spread its banner of love over you? Can it hide you in the shelter of its wing? Can it be your daily portion and immerse you in the boundlessness of itself? Can it clothe you in robes of righteousness and garments of salvation?  Can it give to you praise in exchange for mourning? Can it bestow on you a crown of beauty for ashes? Can it turn your wailing into dancing? Can it flood you with peace like a river? Can it fill your heart with joy in the worst of afflictions? Can it know the way to lead you home? Can it refine you in its fire and bring you forth as gold?  Can it capture you fully even as it sets you fully free? Can it ever truly be your Everything?*#

Doing a dance, to wear a mask, To play a game that you can’t stomach . . . Just so that the truth doesn’t have to face you, The way you recoil from reflections of yourself. You’d forsake your happiness, your health —                                                   You would burn it all. To do a dance, To wear a mask To play a game you’ll always lose.              To look in a mirror . . .              To tell an image, that it’s anything but you. And it is in that moment, that you'll find                            You’ll tell the unfamiliar truth As you bleed and feed Your own obliterated youth . . . To feel, and then                           to lose — Just like the loss you always knew                           You would find in disappointment. Like an unholy anointment                           of your least desirable possessions That retire from the heavens                           Back to you. To betray, and to amuse                                                           Alone. The ides of irony rejoice!                For they’ve found their lamb... or their ever-dying muse.                  Forsaking life itself, you clamor To see others just like you. And maybe, one day, one will choose            the path that you can’t leave, As it reciprocates to thee —             Two partners in misery, fated to excuse the waste of each other...             until they find there’s nothing left. To feel the flame within its breath consumed. Wearing a mask, To live a lie,                 And die a death,                 Whose dance you six-times misstep                               And on the seventh, betrays you.

Defeated by Love
(Part 1: http://hellopoetry.com/poem/738250/almond-eyes/) Come spring, she leaped across the grassy dune. In her ageing almond eyes, fresh wisdom strewn. Unthought of now- he who had once been her all. In a forbidden forest, a smiling lean buck stood tall. Come summer, standing afar she did quietly spy; Studying his ways from the curious corner of her eye- How chilled he liked his water, how green his grass… A polite little nod if ever he happened to pass. Come monsoon, away she cast the lessons of the past. Throughout their graze, on him her gaze. Playful fights they feign; adorable moments in the rain. She’d fallen tame; her clumsy hooves not to blame. Come winter, cold truths in the icy winds blew her way. Her lean, smiling buck wasn’t really hers per se. He smiled much the same at myriad doe and antelope, Yet, in her shivering heart flickered the scantiest of hope. Come fall, she finally forsake her futile trail. Turned her back with a swish of her bushy tail. Beaming with sheer joy, she hummed a halcyon tune twice over. For bucks would come and bucks would go, but the river’d go on forever.

Almond Eyes. (Part 2)
So that you will hear me my words sometimes grow thin as the tracks of the gulls on the beaches. Necklace, drunken bell for your hands smooth as grapes. And I watch my words from a long way off. They are more yours than mine. They climb on my old suffering like ivy. It climbs the same way on damp walls. You are to blame for this cruel sport. They are fleeing from my dark lair. You fill everything, you fill everything. Before you they peopled the solitude that you occupy, and they are more used to my sadness than you are. Now I want them to say what I want to say to you to make you hear as I want you to hear me. The wind of anguish still hauls on them as usual. Sometimes hurricanes of dreams still knock them over. You listen to other voices in my painful voice. Lament of old mouths, blood of old supplications. Love me, companion. Don't forsake me. Follow me. Follow me, companion, on this wave of anguish. But my words become stained with your love. You occupy everything, you occupy everything. I am making them into an endless necklace for your white hands, smooth as grapes.

So That You Will Hear Me
All such stuff is only a myth, right? Why else would women be forsaken? Is having periods a grave sin, really? Their God is just a fantasy, right? Why else will God forsake Its kids? The real God is sleeping, isn't It?? God could be a female too, right? Why assign a gender to God then? Is God so weak, kidding right???

The Real God?
In the hour of death, after this life’s whim, When the heart beats low, and the eyes grow dim, And pain has exhausted every limb— The lover of the Lord shall trust in Him. When the will has forgotten the lifelong aim, And the mind can only disgrace its fame, And a man is uncertain of his own name— The power of the Lord shall fill this frame. When the last sigh is heaved, and the last tear shed, And the coffin is waiting beside the bed, And the widow and child forsake the dead— The angel of the Lord shall lift this head. For even the purest delight may pall, And power must fail, and the pride must fall, And the love of the dearest friends grow small— But the glory of the Lord is all in all.

Dominus Illuminatio Mea
Nosey people annoy me Pompous people bore me, Pretentious people irritate me Whilst drunk people irrigate me. Opinionated people grate me, Cheating people forsake me. Sly people irk me Lazy people shirk me. Judgemental people cast me, Bigoted people blast me. Most people avoid me!

People who annoy me
From the ashes I descend, Rising among the flames, As shades of red. Orange and yellow, Blend within the explosion, Of my rebirth, Claiming my life force once more. My deep hazel eyes, Drenched in golden brown, Surrounded by a burst of jade, Speckled with dark green, Reveal my humility, Compassion and genuine kindness, Allowing you to behold, The window to my soul. The vessel, Containing my spirit, Conflicts with the feminine demeanor, Exposing sincerity, Comforting hands of a care-giver, The voice of loyalty, Gently escaping lips, Tears of empathy, Seeping with understanding, Kisses of affection, As soft spoken words, Depict desires, Hopes and the warmth, Of pure love. Mystery envelops my origin, Becoming a mystical being, With the ability to heal, The potential to inspire, Living proof of an alleged myth, Yielding in protection, As my plethora of feathers, Shield the individuals I adore, From darkness, Attempting to swallow the light, We yearn to discover. Blind Thoughts of denial, Shall forsake your eyes, If you pass judgment, Upon me, For my cloak of skin, Concealing my true beauty. As a Phoenix, I refuse to watch, The children of diversity, Suffer degradation, Living in fear of discrimination, Stifling the right to love another, To dress in garments, That correlate the body with the mind. I shall rage to cease, The hands of violence leaving bruises, Ignorance stripping, Breaths of air from a pair of lungs, As homophobia, Transphobia, and intolerance, Deplete individuality from a heart, Deserving liberty, The pursuit of happiness, A chance to survive. The Earth returns my soul, To reap the love, Concealed in assumptions, And sow acceptance into, The fields of society, As I continue, To soar into a cerulean sky.

Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed This strength of my youth, these breaths, All are surrendered to you To protect your honour I would forego hundred lifetimes I would either embrace death or vanquish your enemies Touching your feet in reverence I take this solemn oath until the end of my life I would be loyal to you Those who have died in your lap their spirits bask in eternal happiness *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* My mother tells me I will go on without you bearing the pain of your passing by turning my heart into stone However, if in your lifetime there is a threat to this country and being fearless you do not fight this threat, my son, then, I will think, I birthed poison instead of life or that my nourishment did not give enough strength Listening to these words my head lies forever bowed *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* It is not only said by my mother but all mothers of this country to give birth to a Narsimh they bear difficult pangs of labour Those brave warriors who wrote history with their life blood carry their images in your heart and placing your hand there, promise, you will forsake everything else at the call of your motherland Your body, soul and life surrendered to your country *Oh motherland, at your feet may all moments of my life lie sacrificed* Narsimh - an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, often visualised as having a human torso and lower body, with a lion face and claws. It's been a while, hasn't it? I sometimes wonder If you remember me at all, Beneath your stressful days And endless nights. Do you remember me? I have hidden here, Waiting Just for you. Because I am you. You are not the girl I used to know, Not the one you used to be. But that's okay, I have changed too. Have we both grown by leaps and bounds? I wish you all the best, But please I beg of you. Do not forsake me.

Letter to myself.
I recall inheriting my first bike. Solid steel. Pink as a Maritime sunset, only more bright. I remember replacing my sister's bike after two long years of back-n-forths -- two years of childish insults and character building -- as I choose to see it. The thing was invincible -- rain or snow. Save the rust, which had its way. I missed that old bike for a time... It was sentimental, as they say. My next two broke down fast -- they were hardly comparable. When I was able to buy my own, the excitement was unbearable. What a beauty 14", titanium dirt jumper, Canadian made Norco -- Red, it gleams. Even to this day, twelve years downstream. It's too bad it hasn't grown with me Because I'm having trouble giving it away... We've spent a short lifetime together And I know I will rue the day I forsake my childhood And take Three hundred dollars In its place.

My Sister's Bike
#*“Come, all you who are thirsty,     come to the waters; and you who have no money,     come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk     without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread,     and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,     and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to Me;     listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you,     My faithful love promised to David...” Seek the LORD while He may be found;     call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways     and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on them,     and to our God, for He will freely pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,     neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,     so are My ways higher than your ways     and My thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow     come down from heaven, and do not return to it     without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,     so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth:     It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire     and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy     and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills     will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field     will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,     and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD’s renown,     for an everlasting sign,     that will endure forever.” ~ New International Version*#

Earthquake Poem 3/5/2014 What do you suppose an earthquake does? Sure, there are the shakes and scares, Seismic shifts accompanied by tectonic tears. But ditch this global perspective, Figure out what rips those ripples, detective. Let’s see you pound at the ground. Hit it hard, ‘til you hear a heavy sound. Is that enough to fissure some asphalt? Tell me, could you bring this spinning planet to a sudden halt? I can’t say for sure, what an Earth-quake does. Though I’ve been a victim, Earth isn’t where my quake was. An Earth-less earthquake, On a planet whose name I’ve learned to forsake. Wynn’s world wandered ‘round someone else’s orbit: Drawn to its gravity like grapes grow on a vine; Brightened by its solar system’s shining smile, so divine; Emotional tides tugged in and out; Guided by its mysterious moon’s midnight meandering about. That’s right – an orbit with its own time flow. Time that could stomp its heels and steal a spotlight, Time that could manipulate a moment like jello, mayonnaise, or some other squishy substance, Time that could crash course, while standing still, Time that could reveal something you never knew. What do you suppose an earthquake does? A quake could be anything that makes you shake. Think of quaking in fear, as an unknown figure draws near. Think of a jittery heart, that’s been bit by a bullet. Internal tears, think of organs bleeding, Think of needing, solid ground, but falling and time keeps stalling. When a quiet little quiver promises to deliver, its slight shock signal straight through the middle. When a molten magma core fizzes its manic madness, like a shaken soda. When an epic eruption carries out its upward excelsior, Rejecting the spinning without a stop. Oh, the mountains will tumble, The hills and valleys, they’ll crumble, And gurgle in the raging rivers’ rumble, As volcanoes churn out violent bubbles, Stirring up all kinds of troubles, For one person’s personal planet. For one person’s personal planet, These violent forces of nature can’t compare to an Earth-quake, When the ground you stand on begins to break, When you realize your senseless stability is fake. When that little quake knocks your Earth awake, It’s reality coming alive to take, and take, and take, Because for love, you put everything at stake. What do you suppose an earthquake does? I’ll tell you – it leaves a wrecked world with a cracked core and scorched surroundings. Just because. Just because, love on Earth always comes with a quiet little quake.

A D D I C T I O N
i. i told my mother the other day that i have decided to be kind, to love those who love me (for no good reason).... and because of, i want to take you in my arms and hold you so tight that the world cannot get in. . ii. you are dressed in white, like an angel, and when you sleep, you murmur and when i watch, you smile instead of howling, and i wish that you were that peaceful when awake. iii. you are growing up, and i watch the way you forsake your mother and i watch the way you puff up your chest with lies and then cower when you see me .... you are not innocent anymore, and i cannot hold you to as such when you hide behind a hood of your parents protection. iv. your brother does not love me anymore, and frankly, i do not care. but you cannot see the stab wound, so still, i am angry. v. i don’t think she loves her best friend anymore, i don’t think she even loves me. but how can you tell someone to cut a piece of themselves off when you won’t do it for them? when you don’t even have the right. vi. i read a poem today, it was about war and it was about foxes, and i thought of you again... my fox, you are a violence... and a lover. and when i remember how you cut me, i remember why i have to cherish what i have.

you need to cherish what you have
Contentment is for people who are satisfied to stop thinking. To turn off all those parts of your head That constantly generate questions And continuously probe the accepted. To hush the cells jumping up and down To show you a new way to approach a topic, Begging you to acknowledge the incredible plans That could be birthed from the impossible way You see the ordinary. But I have an obligation to my mind. Yes, sometimes it feels more like shackles than duty, And yes, sometimes I want to abandon my notepad and paper On the bedside table to have a "me day"- Whatever that's supposed to mean - Or halt the carousel of whirling thoughts for a nap, But I can't. I will always be curious, at my roots. I grow from the dedication to my thoughts, upward. A tree straining towards the light of innovation. Why would I forsake the places my thoughts can take me, Or the adventures my pen can take in translating them. For the gifts this head gives me, I must always be on call, on edge, on fire. Contentment: unattainable. Even if it weren't it would interfere with the very process That would allow me to derive what meaning lies in contentment. So that's my secret. The Hulk was always angry, which is how he controlled and dominated. I'm always searching, which is how I find and thrive. I can't drown out my thoughts just to soak up the sun. That's not contentment: that's complacency. And complacency is not in my vocabulary. How funny- I am content with losing that one word For the chance to be brilliant.

Contentment
A few hours after midnight; the world is fast asleep. Alone and cold do I wander. Like a nightmare do I creep. With the intent of nothing I sit and watch the street. It’s a week after Halloween and my shoes are on my feet. I near my house, I think I’ll shave, (My chin has an itch.) But at my feet upon the ground a color doesn’t fit; Black on black with a spot of white doesn’t sit quite right. You’d think they’d be more careful, ornery little gits. Yet here at my feet, some candy lies plainly in my sight. I stop to stare and wonder, and my brain does a nervous twitch.   So here I am; with a piece of candy that might have mange Meanwhile my mind is discovering a whole new range For all the pain we go through, to keep the world nice,  Nothing anyone does ever seems to pay the price. I’ve got a new hybrid car, gets 50 to the gallon plus it’s electric. And when I finish a snack trash is out the window. Are we epileptic? I mean you’ve got to be kidding me, who can say that they are not A miserable little hypocrite? World is full of betrayal and lies. Filling with anger, righteous and hot, I feel a change in my soul. I’ll be better! I’ll change the world or the two of us will sever ties! The earth will follow my example and we’ll hold to higher goal. Give me a few years and then lets see what we’ve got!   I hold onto the fantasy for a while, sad to let it slip. But the truth does sink in and reality has a tighter grip. Even if I spoke who would listen? One cry in a thousand’s not so great. I’m not saying we shouldn’t try, to resign ourselves to our fate. I’ve never been a pessimist, just a realistic optimist you understand. If you want change, aim for what you can hold in your hand. Think you can bring about world peace, think you’ve got the might? Try to keep peace in your town, or your block, or home without a fight. I stand and think to myself one more Sucker here and there, Isn’t going to change a thing. If ten men vowed never to let themselves repeat Their mistakes, the next day a chance would come, one would stand, Nine would shudder and forsake him. Alone he’d return to his seat. I step away and head home. I return my thoughts to the matters at hand. Like my homework; a poem and some calc. I’ve still got to lose some ****** hair

In a time, when men were the superheroes, born in an unconventional location, a young girl, unknown to the future she was destined to, was born with a uniqueness unfound in all people, a superpower of empathy and as she grew, the world knew she was imbued as a living embodiment of legends: Athena's wisdom, beauty that surpassed the goddess Aphrodite, conversational skills that made Hermes envious, and strength that Hercules could never attain. As she approached an age, when her parents would trust her to be guardian, her powers manifested. This incredible child was now a woman. With the ability to heal those in need: she could expunge poison that had afflicted a person, even their hearts, a God-given gift for those most sacred; her correspondences exponentially developed, able to connect in all languages, fueled by her empathetic nature, this allowed all who interacted with her to trust her for she radiates sincerity. Now, fully grown, this super-no- This Wonder Woman had retired her duties to save the world, not forsake it, but, to train Wonder Girl, her daughter, to unlock the latent abilities her mother had passed on to her. She still looks up at the Higher Power and realizes her duty to provide the world justice is not over but only beginning. Her holy spirit was not unacknowledged and was gifted a bulletproof bracelet, forged by the most skilled craftsman by direction of all that is wise and healing. Given to her to wear so that nothing could halt her as she continues her fate to provide the world a humanity that could only come from an intrinsically true dear heart.

Missed Understanding
I gaze upon your beauty Breathtaking in its wonder I lie nestled in exquisite solitude Beholding your majesty King to my Queen In hushed reverence Dominating my vision Noble in simplicity I surrender myself to your moment Giving up my heart Abandoning all sensibility Knowing you will never forsake me Lulled by the gentle flooding Of desire to never leave this place Or your fascination (C) Pixievic

You were my perfect poem Brief but of many lessons Our life was the perfect paradox For love I thought we could rhyme You hated all I ever loved,I loved all you hated You said dirt was clean and the sun was cold You desired tears for years And resisted all advances of happiness All you hated I had to forsake For our love was at stake But like a toddler you had fun with my feelings Leaving our blindest love in darkness reeling Yet my greatest victory was losing you My severest pain was my sweetest gain You schooled me through experience My all-time worst teacher You were my perfect poem Eternity would be short to describe the undescribable For when my hand is strong to hold the pen Then my heart is weak to pen the words

my perfect poem
I came along to your garden, to see your chillies growing Unaware of what laid in wait, or what was really showing There stood a glass a lidded drink, familiarity of knowing If that's what I think it is, I don't want it overflowing Do my eyes forsake me, is that a fluid from the body Is that froth of a good beer, or from a head that's shoddy Does it look like what it is, a very dodgy toddy! Ghoulish drinks will turn you green, like Goblins are in Noddy What the hell you thinking off, with water that's distilled It smells like the local gents, so it should not be spilled I don't mind a special brew, but this time I'm not thrilled Unusual cocktails are okay, but not ones you have filled Aren't beverages supposed to be, refreshing and thirst quenching ? You say that it's good to drink, but really it's gut wrenching An endless supply you may have, but it should be toilet drenching Don't ever make a wankers drink, by using a fist clenching You wouldn't want this drink on tap, it defies imagination It's just the same as a lady, drinking her own ************ It maybe the water of life, but it's just urination Aqua vitae is not my idea, of a real drink designation Even just the thought of it, makes me feel sick and hazy To drink a glass of this stuff, you must be ******* crazy Well talk about recycling, or are you just bog lazy Is Harvey Denton related, or do you live in Royston Vasey People like to drink sometimes, is there something I have missed You seem to have your own ideas, but with a certain twist A brand new meaning you have brought, to getting yourself ****** Golden showers are one thing, but that's when your sexually kissed There's one thing I'd like to know, so what do you say Why do you think that drinking **** will keep the germs away It cant be very good for you, it's an inside body spray Your just drinking toilet water, hay Jay are you ****** today ?

Someday I'd like to wander free like butterfly, like bumblebee, perhaps to plant a willow tree beside the silent solemn sea, before these things exist no more, from mountain top to shifting shore, when, soon, bald eagles cease to soar and build their aeries nevermore, and fish forsake polluted streams (where sulfur swims and typhoid teems since no one really cares it seems) to die inside our toxic dreams while ice caps melt and winter steams, and all the air surrounding reeks as children choke, for no one speaks of fracking wells or oily leaks (Big Brother's silenced all critiques!), and rancid rains acidify so woods no longer multiply (for God so wills, we can't deny, which is, of course, our alibi). And as the deepest ocean fills with plastic bags, and garbage spills upon the plains, across the hills and turns to poison dust that kills wild dingo dogs and daffodils which sink in swamps’ forsaken swills, the mocking bird makes light and trills (midst waning wails of whippoorwills) "Behold the surreal scene that chills and greet the dread that death distills! You've had your day with all the frills that brought the flood and final ills that can't be cured with bitter pills nor yet undone with further thrills of profit gained that grinds and fills dead desert sands with dollar bills." EPILOGUE Though swaddled still in infancy, we feel we’ve reached our primacy (aloof, though preaching piously, disdaining deeds of decency) and have no need of augury. But in the pit of prophecy the crucial questions seem to be: “Is doom Earth’s fate, our destiny to twist in tides of agony destroying nature’s progeny with no return a certainty assured by death’s finality?” and ”Should we plant a willow tree to someday weep for you and me?”

Un-Thrifting Essence, what of Loneliness Allows the Hill across to bend and weep? Who is to blame? Are you the Sorceress Drawn to cast an Un-Witting Spell so deep? These are all but Questions; If I may add Failed on Writ, yet convenient to Subject Here is the Adjective I thought I had But the Spell did lie thus made to reject My Immortal Covenant: To Keep you, Dearest Talent; A Servant's Dud I make Within a shadow shines a Brighter Hue, A Promise I no longer will Forsake: Though in Essence always revealed un-been I am that Shadow never revealed un-seen.
