"fathomless" poems
* Cné I believe in love... In a blink of an eye, a life goes by extinguished in the end. And all that's done returns to dust. No omen can portend. Yet love lives on, infecting all and never really dies It goes beyond the realm of man to live in fragrant skies. And on the spacious sea of clouds, it waits to find a port. And then it anchors in a soul to caper and cavort. Traveler Perhaps In the emotional beginning When head was yet held high Stumbling through clouds Of bright blurry skies Love was a foolish quest Of paralyzing highs And now you're telling me Love can never die? Cné Translucent, the clouds we've sailed and golden sunsets made Kisses that we could have had while watching rainbows fade. Alas, a life's too short to spend in fathomless regret. Perhaps the wheel will turn again another lifetime yet. And so, my love the voyage goes on, to "golden years"? We'll see. Until the other side reveals what shall become of "we". Traveler Indeed A dangerous theory I can't imagine Love roaming free The source of all misery Another invisible ghost Possessing unaware host Surely Love is the blood we bleed All across time and history Love is more than a mere key More than a want Love is a need... **Cné   Traveler Tim** *

LOVE, a theory (collaboration with Traveler)
Let me take you , Into my fathomless fantasy. Let me uncover , What it feels like to be the one to love. I see our bodies pressed against each other. Fragrances binded into one. Lips being sober. Adrenaline pumping it's pace over . I sense your heartbeat against mine And I hear everything , From the whispers to the moans and the sound of your breathe . You loose sweat , you cry , you sleep , you care , and you love tooo? I lay confused . I thought you did not exist for real. I thought you were made of metaphors.

Let me.
*Before I thought of doing it My neck cradles itself sidewards A strange glimpse Stood out with radiance And I knew it was different* *I catch myself looking at you from afar Your eyes meet mine Is it just coincidence Or an accident that happens too often*? *Our glances hold messages Of undefined feelings Words become fathomless For our eyes manifest*. *Your eyes wandered through the crowd And mine roamed around We both know This is just an excuse, a distraction Not to seem obvious... Until they locked And I swear I won't let this moment pass* *Oh, your eyes Inviting me to see Bidding me to come closer Wanting to let me know you deeper*. *I'd look at them all day of course; Because of all the eyes staring I only care for yours*.

Eyes
They say the sea is cold, but the sea contains the hottest blood of all, and the wildest, the most urgent. All the whales in the wider deeps, hot are they, as they urge on and on, and dive beneath the icebergs. The right whales, the sperm-whales, the hammer-heads, the killers there they blow, there they blow, hot wild white breath out of the sea! And they rock, and they rock, through the sensual ageless ages on the depths of the seven seas, and through the salt they reel with drunk delight and in the tropics tremble they with love and roll with massive, strong desire, like gods. Then the great bull lies up against his bride in the blue deep bed of the sea, as mountain pressing on mountain, in the zest of life: and out of the inward roaring of the inner red ocean of whale-blood the long tip reaches strong, intense, like the maelstrom-tip, and comes to rest in the clasp and the soft, wild clutch of a she-whale's fathomless body. And over the bridge of the whale's strong phallus, linking the wonder of whales the burning archangels under the sea keep passing, back and forth, keep passing, archangels of bliss from him to her, from her to him, great Cherubim that wait on whales in mid-ocean, suspended in the waves of the sea great heaven of whales in the waters, old hierarchies. And enormous mother whales lie dreaming suckling their whale- tender young and dreaming with strange whale eyes wide open in the waters of the beginning and the end. And bull-whales gather their women and whale-calves in a ring when danger threatens, on the surface of the ceaseless flood and range themselves like great fierce Seraphim facing the threat encircling their huddled monsters of love. And all this happens in the sea, in the salt where God is also love, but without words: and Aphrodite is the wife of whales most happy, happy she! and Venus among the fishes skips and is a she-dolphin she is the gay, delighted porpoise sporting with love and the sea she is the female tunny-fish, round and happy among the males and dense with happy blood, dark rainbow bliss in the sea.

From my perch, spanning the vast, fathomless sky at night, where 100 billion galaxies vie with one another, for foothold, shoals of fish on the swim in diverse forms of being ( or nothingness of various kind) in cycles  of birth from dust, growth, death in dark holes and rebirth. I now see only  a lone star above, cowering at a far corner, in silence anxiety ridden  as she's alone in this celestial grand opera house. Wonder, where had gone all, the spectacular display of star power, profligacy of fish of  ocean above proudly displaying just yesterday. Lessons, on equanimity perhaps, nature teaches, writing on the night sky.

Lessons on equanimity written in the starlit sky
Hills on top of fathomless hills Where I have built my home I walked here through the driest desserts Swam here through the deepest seas Hiked here through blizzards on mountains A little piece taken each moment Until I reached these hills At top the rise of the earth I look out at the universe I can look out and say I have been here I have left my mark Where it is the most important I can look at the people building Their homes and dreams and goals And know they to will stand about Their own hill, they will know that they Made a difference in the world Just by breathing the air By making one laugh And with that I may stray to the Mothers Arms And be sound , knowing I did my part

Let us paint our canvasses on WOMEN!! Curious I stand to unravel your perception of a woman Would you weigh her as a piece of wonder or a gruffly aggressive thunder? She is extraordinary, gorgeously efficient, solely independent! The love she embraces is wider than the infinite heaven and deeper than the fathomless sea. The shallow world with its profound hypocrisy, Banters with a judgemental frown. The world has changed, and so has she. It has known the beautiful rose, tarnished by its prickly thorns, Only the delicate rose, the world, with its abysmal critics, abides by to adorn. She knows her paths, truly determined to achieve her goals, Her patience deserves a salute, her tremendous sacrifice only to satisfy our souls. Dare never to shred the lovely red petals, not knowing her darings! For also the thorns in her are perilous, to blemish a wound till your last. With her chin up and a gaze so ferocious, ocean of wisdom she is vast. She rises, she grows, taking a free flight, venturing to claim new heights, She is benevolent, a ray of sanguine sunshine to your forlorn nights. Walking proud, believing in who she is, glimmering like a star! Born strong she is, refuses to be judged by her scars. She is the teller of her tale, over fears and worries she will prevail. A miracle of God, with a sweet lingering fragrance she leaves a trail, Of patience, commitment, empathy, and unfaltering fortitude !! by ~Mihika Rohatgi

Wonder Woman !!
One is seemingly more impressed by the less endowed or blessed when somewhat incapacitated and borderline inebriated; the monstrous unconscious disregards the likelihood of fathomless undergarments in other dubious departments. Disregard the random blotches or the involuntary discharges instead revel in model tonsils and almond shaped parcels the comets of multi-notches like a strange attraction for disheveled carpets. The blossoms of toxins a libation ensemble almost near horizontal each movement a bent nozzle like a prehistoric Narwhal dancing like a jackhammer with the elegance of a cement mixer a broken leaking fissure seeping vapid glamour and indecipherable grammar. The paraphrased clichés and communiques of praise like lost prophets put on display caught in the ricochet of overplay making an exit with the grace of a stumbling ballet down a poorly-lit nightclub passageway. Ultimately this can only lead to the face-plant moment-of-tomorrow the flooded memory of the-night-before feeling utterly spent hungover and hollow with ill conceived consent. The: Oh. My. God! The: ***** is still here, what do I say? Hoping inexorably they would just get up and silently fade away. Beer Goggles: remember to drink sensibly, or run the risk of nasty STD's or unwanted pregnancy or breathless infidelity or reckless insincerity or if you're really lucky, just another session in therapy.

Beer Goggles
Oh, my Father in Heaven Guarding me from all perils and trials   And sets my heart free of all clutter For you, my songs of praise, I reserve All my life, I shall sing Without fail, in bloom or gloom On every unfolding day Through months and years Till death and beyond Let my songs sail across the skies And with the chorus of the heavenly band, unite Oh, the benevolent Lord of all creation Custodian of all wealth Contriver of birth and death The Master Crafts man Everything is your handiwork. The lofty mounts Veiled in misty snow The verdant dales Lush and still The fathomless deep Where mysteries peep All the flowers That bloom and wither All things Bright and beautiful Everything, above and below In all, Let me behold thy grace And sing Thee praise! Oh! Redeemer of Mankind Guide me through the dark Guard my steps where dangers lurk Hold my hand And never loosen your grip Make me face the light Illumine me with wisdom serene And fill me with love divine; So that you be glorified Here, on Earth And in Heaven be!

Sing Praise unto the Lord
We give thanks for all who have enriched our lives with their presence; may we honor them by always being present for others. We give thanks for those who selflessly serve in our armed forces, for the quiet sacrifices of their family and friends and for those who witness for peace and work to end the conflicts of war. We are thankful for the tears of the poor and their example of fortitude in the daily struggle to live and for those that extend a hand and offer a vision of hope and a pathway to advancement. We are thankful for our rich abundance and the blessed spirit that leads us to generously share it with others. We are thankful for wise thoughtful teachers and students that are eager to use that wisdom to better the world. We are thankful for courageous truth tellers and the hard truths they speak and to people of good will that are open and willing to listen and act on those truths. We are thankful for the care givers and their veneration of life and to those who receive care and fill the heart of the giver with fathomless gratitude. We are thankful for people of humility and good will and their blessed example of quiet service and grace. We are thankful for children as an embodiment of our hopes and the future flowering of our greatest aspirations. We are thankful for our animal friends and their example of trusted companionship and unconditional love. We are thankful for sobriety and our ability to discern, see, discover and experience the daily grace life confers upon us. We are thankful for those who are no longer with us, may our time on earth be a blessing to others as they were to us. We are thankful to a higher power that keeps us right sized, humble and grateful for one more day on life's path. I turned the corner, entering the Italian sculpture collection at Le Louvre, delighting in the smells and quiet sounds of the museum. I walked slowly down the creaking wood floored corridor, ignoring the Dirce, the Nymph and the Scorpion, till I came to Antonio Canova’s Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss. I gazed at it lazily, longingly, savoring its sensuality, love, and tenderness. It was beautiful, beyond belief, exquisite. It evoked so many emotions, to the point of being overwhelming. I stared at it, losing myself, in time and reverie, wishing I could love and be loved with such intensity. “It’s beautiful, “I heard a feminine whisper in my ear. I could feel the warmth of her breath on my neck. “Yes,” I replied, slowly, instinctively, coming out of my trance, and turning towards the voice. Our eyes met, locked, I couldn’t look away, as if bewitched, her incandescent blue eyes fathomless, tender, worldly, looking, seeing deep into my soul. I could feel her in me, like a new born kitten exploring every nook and cranny. It was slightly unnerving, knowing she could wander, at will, unfettered, and yet calming, even comforting. As I regained my sense, I recognized her and stared, incredulously, until she said, softly, sweetly, “je m’appelle Seraphine.”   She moved in a bit closer, cocking her head towards my right ear, and whispered, “It is my favorite, it's so tender and passionate, the way he holds her, kisses her, the way only a god could.” I noted her tone, the way she said it, with such confidence, as if she knew, from experience, what it was like, to be kissed, loved, by a god.   She gently pulled back a bit, looked me in the eyes, like a child looking at a puppy. She was beautiful, preternaturally beautiful, a paragon, goddess like. I just stared at her in awe. “I think we’ve seen each other around Paris”, she said softly, smiling, “and may have bumped into each other in the Metro.” “Yes, I think we have,” I replied, as she extended her right hand, as a queen would, to a knight. I didn’t know if I should  kneel and kiss her hand, or shake it. I took her hand in mine, it was soft, warm, moist. I could feel her youth, femininity, life in her hand. I shook it, gently, stopped, slightly released my grip, our hands slid apart, touching, sliding, caressing down our fingers, stopping ever so slightly at the tips, before releasing. The ecstasy of her touch. I longed for more. I heard her sigh, my eyes moved from her hand, to her lips, finally to her eyes. I smiled and said, almost in a whisper, “Je m’appelle Damien.”

Whisky, “The Water of Life”, ******** burning all down my chest. Opening up my mind to endless imaginations So I can put the world to rights Like Superman in his pomp. Feel that glow, Spreading like a forest fire. Feelgood Factor Fathomless in its depth. Who cares what peat, in what glens Or valleys it came from. Or what precipitation Bathed those golden barley ears On Celtic hillsides. I’ll drink any Whisky, Single or blend White oak cask or not. So long as it gives me that buzz And blows my mind. Inspiring the best Or worst In me. Paul Butters

When I set out for Lyonnesse, A hundred miles away, The rime was on the spray, And starlight lit my lonesomeness When I set out for Lyonnesse A hundred miles away. What would bechance at Lyonnesse While I should sojourn there No prophet durst declare, Nor did the wisest wizard guess What would bechance at Lyonnesse While I should sojourn there. When I came back from Lyonnesse With magic in my eyes, All marked with mute surmise My radiance rare and fathomless, When I came back from Lyonnesse With magic in my eyes!

When I Set Out For Lyonnesse
Prelude "Let's go" his soft whisper the mantra, in his voice she hears the esoteric voyage through the cryptic high seas of self, fathomless, unmapped, uncharted and reachable only by the most fearless ready to unbind and make the self free for it's adventure, begins thus for the peaceful pair complementing the absolute for a life time, til they reach there and find themselves one with                       pure consciousness. "Let's let's, but only together" she chants in unison, with him. 1. Bidding good bye to ego, clad in red and black a beast, not easy to bring to it's  knees, submit, the high horse proud, raring to go,having  sharp horns sticking out, fierce, that goes berserk,on seeing white. Altogether a curious construct, that dictates terms- they set about, invoking the blessing of the flame of light. 2 They stood together,  eyes widely shut, bringing both palms together,in front of their  chests creating a lotus bud, symbolizing hearts, bowing each other in "Namaste",-bows the divinity in thyself- chanting the mantras of peace, thrice, each time, repeatedly. 3 "Lets go back to the begining of every begining.." the primordial hum, transcending quagmires of time in the path of our ancestors, who did see the" unseeable", without eyes, knew the "unknowable",diving in to the ocean depth of self, going inwards chanting"Neti, Neti" Not this, Not this, inquiring each till the essence did reveal. 4 They did this, focusing the eye of the mind, on the eye beyond all, that watches every small thing in universe. Mind, sharpened like the blade of a sword, efficient to cut the Gordian knots,of paradox, duality and illusion, encountering the silence that thickens at last, speaks the words of wisdom, patient they are, to know the ultimate, right there at the source of light that is the true essence of all, 5 Celebrate the pure consciousness, that pervades in every thing, the thought that begets all thoughts, that  moves on to be karma, that becomes purer, through the cycles of lives, one after another. "Let's be humble, utmost, sans the ornamental clothes of pride. May the thought reigning cosmos, the spirit of peace, chanted aloud, take us to it's sanctum sanctorum and melt us in to it's divine embrace. Only one there is, all are it's integrals, the divine cosmic hum 'Aum' that enliven the universe within each cell, remember , is eternal"                                                 #@@#

Crushing Moonlit
this is the ship that hears the horn blow and seeks the brightest beacon of light her port of call, that sheltered harbor on stormy dark and windswept night my ship will break upon the rocks with no steady compass in hand ride the mystic waves with me, we can sound the depths of the ocean let us plunge our line into the fathomless love in that oneness, find our measure then sail on, sail on, into the deep

sail on, sail on, into the deep
She sits on the sidelines Outlined by shadow and smoke Her curling p's and q's go unnoticed Watching him wallow in darkness Persephone and Hades comes to mind Although in reverse The ashes of her springtime **** craves the bright burning flame of his  Unforgiveness Coming on like a fifth street ****** Red lips and sky high thighs She's got bad intentions  His fathomless inkwell craves the sweetness of her embrace We all aren't built the same she thinks But she'd let him tap her vein Violets and stars winking in her vision His cold touch finally reaches her Hot skin melting past his reluctant facade It was all a game he whispers To get you closer To make you mine

Crazy ***** (with an itch for midnight)
Autumn flares out, its flame burst clouds strewn about misted cliff sides, loam whites of winter taking their place. A stiff willow breeze, ten thousand things withdrawn to burrows and immortal pine heights. First snows stream down, duckweed carpets of August fade, jade peeking through white. I embark on the seasons final sail in hardening ice waters. Til spring my sails will be folded, my raft in idleness. ~~~ Rafting on moon drenched river, avoiding cascades and crash of rapids and falls. Silvered driftwood a warning. Silent glide of mulberry oar through dark azure, another crafts sail in silhouette. From the deck a black spectre dives below, stillness follows splash, re-emergence, beak wrapped around a dazzling rainbow. From my raft dangling lantern sways, trout swiping at gathered moths – scatter and return, some from a far off realm. Some trout in the net, others not. Luck or the way – who can tell? ~~~ Dusk colour gorge sheathed in emerald blankets, rising into sheer cliffs of auburn cinnabar, all underpinned by the fathomless flow of azure clarity. Snowy Egrets nest in pine top heights clear of dust. On white sand shores gibbons howl towards squawking beach gulls, squabble over landlocked trout – debate without end. Peach blossom petals swirl on spring breeze over carpets of jade inter cut by king fisher blue zipping over duckweed. Oriole song weaves in and out of mulberry branches. In these vast and vague waters - coves, creeks and streams all one, a river dragon lives an undetermined existence. Mud stirs below, merely a catfish airing grievances. Red tail flares in dirt, my mulberry oar rows me back home.

The sea is full of secrets; undiscovered lies and deceiving waves-- with an odd lay. Like a fathomless man which conceals the most heart-rending tales And only a few  could sense the depth it owns. A great consolation--it may seem. But do not let it's allurement outwit you.

An Oceanic Soul
my paris begins with those early days as a conscious flaneur i recall the couple seated opposite me on the metro when i was still innocent of its labyrinthine complexity slim pretty white girl clad head to toe in denim smiling wistfully while her muscular black beau stared through me with fathomless orbs and one of them spoke almost in a whisper qu'est-ce-que t'en pense and it dawned on me yes the young parisienne with the distant desirous eyes was no less male than me dismal movies in the forum des halles being screamed at in pigalle and then howled at again by some kind of madman or vagrant who told me to go to the bois de boulogne to meet what he saw as my destiny menaced by a sinister skinhead for trying on tessa's wide-brimmed hat getting ****** in les halles with sara who'd just seen dillon as rusty james and was walking in a daze sara again with jade at the caveau de la huchette jazz cellar cash squandered on a gold tootbrush two tone shoes from close by to the place d'italie portrait sketched at the place du tertre paperback books by symbolist poets but second hand volumes by trakl and deleve and a leather jacket from the marche aux puces porte de clignancourt losing gary's address scrawled on a page of musset's confession walking the length and breadth of the rue st denis, what an artist's paradise (as juliette once wrote me).

From the Labyrinthine Metro
High above and brave; Taunting the waters below. With this bridge we have conquered Open spaces And Time opens its wings To let us pass without aging. Who ages on the bridge? No one. Children are arrested in a state Of wondrous apprehension. The old forget gravity's pull On their brittle bones. It is a marvelous thing that connects Our world to Middle Earth and Rivendell; the great Castle of Gormenghast, Narnia and The fathomless depths of Cthulu; the Temples of the Oracles; the lost rock Walls of the Necropolis; the emerald Towers of Oz; the Memorial to Krypton In the Fortress of Solitude; the waters of Lethe; the expanse of Midgard and the Rainbow Bridge; Mount Olympus; Daedelus' Labyrinth; the Inferno, the Purgatorio and the Paridisio; the dark Forest's of Pan; and the broad field's of Chiron. And the galaxy of stars, of worlds destroyed And created by your Will, that shapeshifter Of Prima Materia that stretches out in The limitless space that is your mind. This ancient construction of arched Rock, mankind's greatest achievement That draws the curious, the adventurous Without verdict or punishment, and gives Them the ability to walk on air, defeating The current of death that rushes Obliviously below.

The Bridge
As the shadows began lengthening I slowly walked to the sea shore Through the cobbled path With stinging stones under my feet And piles of golden clouds floating above Enjoying the whistling of the wind through the reeds Inhaling the saline air, smelling of rotting seaweeds On the vast strand, I stood for long Feeling the foamy fringes of water lapping at my feet And sensing the sand slipping away under my feet I watched the gentle undulating billows Rolling their silver volumes As if to die away on the happy shores The sapphire waters and the roaring waves The churning tides and the feathery foam Made me wonder at the horror and beauty That ****** dichotomy Nature carries within I saw numerous fishes gambol beneath the waves Do the finny herds that roam The fathomless valleys of the Deep Ever experience the tumult and scuffle Of the roaring waters? Oh! Never! Like them, I too floated weightless With all the barbed distractions drifting away Wishing to get a pair of wings of the swallow flying high To soar safely away from all gadflies who disturb And cocooned in the inner citadel of my privacy Enjoying a permeating peace, I had seldom known! Then Byron’s words came floating to me Mingling with the cadence of the waves ‘There is rapture in the lonely shores There is society where none intrudes’

My Stroll to the Seashore
I see my life flashing before me Red siren, blue siren This fathomless landscape bores me Red siren, blue siren These ****** destroy me Red siren blue siren My God I implore thee Red siren, blue siren To save my life. They pump me full Thump thump Thump thump They always have. So full of drugs and lies That corrode in the past. They pump me full, Right from the vein They drain my blood, With their disdain They chain me down, Right to the bed They shock my heart, Inject my head Bump bump Bump bump This ride from hell, Their eyes so wild My wound does swell, Does swell so large Oh gangrene supreme They shock my heart - Cut out my spleen - The room goes dark, They shock my heart Cut out my spleen. . . Bump bump Thump thump Oh needle people, Sticking me full. Oh needle people, Take me for a fool. Red siren Blue siren I pray unto thee now Red siren Blue siren I call out your name Red siren Blue siren Because to these imbeciles RED SIREN BLUE SIREN My life is just a game RED SIREN BLUE SIREN I pray and I say! RED SIREN BLUE SIREN Have mercy on me! RED SIREN BLUE SIREN As these dogs, They watch me bleed.
