Anger, is the steaming red on her face refusal creates in an instance; jealousy is foaming green profusion of colors in motion takes this dance for them to upward and downward turns, or a sudden dissolution--- an intense ****** in unison. Even in darkness he  can see the spasmodic ebbing waves sleep is the banana plantation where night wears translucent green "nobody would see us here" she whispers in his ears, as if they are thieving sex, eyeing the yellow banana she likes, to play with Purple is the psychedelic color smeared on horizon when dreams repeatedly fly down like night bats and happen the way mind designs we don't want to leave the scene of the dream even when we know well that the show for us is now over we just want to hang around like the dog,  in the place it  got a juicy bone. Yellow is the banana song that's heard as wave after wave, by the blind bat squadron that roams with raw aggression, for raids above the plantations Unripe bananas show green fingers to say "NO! we aren't ripe" like coy underage virgins. Then, they ripen, go yellow some even bright red, inviting who is blue here is the sky and those bats who got the bananas still raw green Night decents on the banana land as the white umbrella of sun is snatched by the dark maiden. Black is the bat's wing extending and folding like lust, umbrella and the like. He finds her shivering fingers like a serpent, on the banana trunk slithering down, as he dreams bats, banana, blue sky and she slithering over him.

Dear Unity,  be proud of the work you've done. Working day and night, leaving complaints to none. With your calm blue aura, full of peace. People from sadness and separation, you release. Dear Unity, extending the branches of your unifying tree, Watching over like a flock of birds flying free. Amalgamate the opposing forces of destruction and war, Spare them from the unnecessary deaths and gore. Dear Unity, reunite us with our long lost friends, So there will be happiness and laughter as broken hearts mend. Clear the miserable loneliness haunting around, And stop at no cost until the cure is found. Dear Unity, oh unity, our guardian angel in disguise, Getting rid of the hatred, betrayal and the emotion; despise. Dear Unity, you are all for one and one for all, Thank you for being there every time we fall.

Dear Unity
upon the elephant rode a boy prince, his royal command, he was there to evince. dark with grace and dripping with youth. bringing his men, his crown and his couth. town after town he strode fierce through the gates. and any detractors were left to cruel fates. and on one windy day, as they strode into town. the faces where tenfold and a hush passed around the grey of the creature with knowing black eyes swayed left towards the crowd as if to capsize. and the mass gasped in horror; bairns seized by their mam. men flung at young ladies, babes pulled from the pram. the bewildered and flustered tired elephant sat. in the center of all on the bald pastors hat. the old pastor looked stunned to see such a disgrace. until he remembered, and composed his face. 'your highness' he bowed. his manners restored. but the poor prince was toppled his mighty seat floored. they gasped for the prince, just really a child dressed in fine silks on this elephant wild. pastor said, 'here now' extending an arm hand wrinkled and gnarled from the land that he farmed. then the guards sprung to life as if sudden awake guns point to the man of whose life they would take. and just as they squinted their eye for the aim a boy sang out sweetly, 'sire he's not to blame!' and the prince from street where he lay in pool held up his hand and recovered his rule. he looked at the crowd and he said 'boy now speak' the boy said, 'prince it is the prayers that you seek. the prayers that you'd visit. the prayers that you'd stay. lord must of heard them and granted this way.' his eyes wide with truth and the love of his church the prince laughed a beautiful belly filled lurch. the carriage was called as the prince shared a feast. and even some water was splashed on the beast. such a good time as he danced and he spun till the horses arrived in the dust of a run. to thank the town and the lovely haired boy the young prince gave up his own precious toy. the beast stays quite put in the center of town... but prayers said no more...so the prince won't fall down. sahn 04/10/2014

When I saw her The first woman with the first wide eyes Bright and light and dark and deep With life and mystery My heart beat like the first hand struck the first drum And the first song was sung In dark caves of ten times ten thousand years ago When I first breathed that first scent My sight stopped My mind stopped My mind was my body and my hands and my gut And my legs extending to the ground and the earth and time And it slowed down like an ice age beginning Then it melted into warm fire Where it burned The first touch of the first woman Was electrical chemical radioactive bliss Every piece of matter in me wanted to move and dance and shake and fly apart The spark from the start of her heart beat Crossed through the fibers and Traveled down the pathways of her body Down the chemical electric synapses Through her arm and jumped across to my hand And traveled up and started a new beat It was a faster, and stronger beat And it beat And it beat Like the first dance, Shook with the slap and smack of ground and hands and feet Oh the first woman was all women And then there were other women And they were people Flesh and blood And minds and thoughts And feelings that I could not feel Good and bad and indifferent With hangups and problems Blemishes and baggage I met women coming Women going Here and there Now and then For coffee, for beer, One evening or ten I met scientists, nurses bartenders and baristas. Living lives I didn't mind Giving time when it was mine Asking for things I couldn't find Then I saw You All of you In time and space and speed I caught the scent of you Your fragrance and perfume And the primal musk of you That fatal lusts allure I felt you The gravity of your body from across the room Your electro-magnetic force pulling Pressure of the displaced particles pushing As you walked so slowly towards me And time stopped Light and sound and movement were captured Captive to your hypnotic sway Prisoner to your power over my perception You moved through the still air And it swept aside like a curtain as you passed The world was quiet And then it pounded   The pressure of it filled the air and everything around it As you moved closer, Like ride of the Valkyries Rising and crashing in waves It rose as you moved towards me You carried it in your wake And then it was a crescendo A vast overpowering transcendent orchestral cacophony Of immense intense sound and light and energy erupting Cymbals crashed and horns blew and strings snapped under the pressure of the vibrations Brilliant fireworks exploded in the black sky of your brown eyes As you stopped a few feet from me And time was stopped You were the first woman You were all women You are The only woman

Doom train hurtling along Through the fog in my mind Towing freight, rectangular and oblong Dim headlights, you're travelling blind Five carriages long, excluding engine and caboose Metal against metal, spitting sparks on steel Undetermined path, rails will choose Chugging along on dirt covered wheels In the cabin, I see the light Emanating from your furnace Swallowing up coals in your gaping bite Tongues of flames licking the surface Fire breathing, spewing thick black smoke Almost unseen, against the dark of night A long plumy arm as if extending to choke And plug the remaining sources of light Meandering precariously on tracks that weave Over uncharted, unfathomable terrain Your store, so reliably you heave Worming your way through my brain What's in that cargo of yours? What lies within those boxcars? What drives you to diligently run your course? What fuels you to travel near and far? Loads of self pity, self loathing and self reproach Snaking your way to an unknown destination Screeching brakes as if a stop you approach Herald the train of dubious intentions Light is upon you, dark will dissipate Your plumes starting to lessen from your stack The dawn breaking horizon you didn't anticipate To see another charging towards you on this very same track...

Close your eyes Your world, not extending beyond the soft quilt under your skin, unending Soft ripples of cloth, and picturesque seams Nothing here but You, me, the sky, and soft dreams I'll reach up and take the stars from the sky If only to lay them at your feet to place them in your hands to bring light into those glazed eyes or give a glow to a world so bland and each one would be folded into a beautiful origami castle I, the lord, and you, the vassal Or perhaps me as the king and you as a queen, whichever My gentle playmate.. which one is better? I'm a majestic creature of the sky You're an empty-faced child on a quilt Each star shall be used as a stepping stone so I might meet you in the place I built Let us meet, as lovers, or at least equals on this starry floor

She's like a field of wildflowers, beautiful, untamed When the winter comes, I still will love her just the same Beneath the veil of snow, I know she still remains Waiting patiently, to be washed clean by spring rains She's something like the sun, rays of warmth and love are beeming I'm more like the moon, its hard to shine when I'm not feeding Off of the light extending out, when it hits I have no doubt I could live this life alone, but will not live this life without, My wildflower

Eid Ul Fitr Mubarak
people **** people with nothing but fingers and hair and their very heavy breath. their breath like a crow beak before crucifixes of straw. like a tightening banishment of a lung. remember when we would blow it onto our car window and create that consistent mirth of fog to begin in? the bodies riddled with bullets that flank the highway are no such thing. the schoolchildren lying face down in the corner of the closet are no such thing. they are just winter coats with schoolchildren to fill them for the time being. no amputation of what’s mine will aid them into the grave. no mass communication grief. so why would you call it a mass grave when in truth it was just a pit i dug to fill with crowds of people who died under the pretense that they had previously done so, that nothing was new under the sun. and when people **** people like people do with their instruments as ways of extending themselves into the world and into the marrow of our body obliterating organs of people with their stretching of the muscular rib, shoulder. one eye closes firmly. it’s nothing but a hand gun as if to say a hand eats the gun and makes it whole. as if to say the reinforced metal door exit plan for people who are being killed by other people clicked shut and locked 15,000 years ago and i can’t quit slamming what’s left of me into it. your kid is very dead. but then again so is mine. suppose they killed each other. suppose they both made the mistake of dragging their small, stupid bodies through the trajectory of another body in the first place. in the chip aisle of a gas station maybe. in theaters this christmas. in the midst of a good song that began playing on the lobby radio just a minute before, oh yeah before, things really got going. i saw people killing people on television the other day with their whole bodies, devouring themselves like surgical gloves slick with oiled consumption and bleeding out and i could do nothing. some kids died just because and they told me so and i was told nothing could ever help them because they were just people and they were dying. “breaking news” ended up just being people again. in those moments, i was eating breakfast. our houses were very quiet and needed me in all of them, grandfather clock over CNN, clarifying what has already been committed and committed again. the cipher was others lost blood.

Hi, below I copy a humorous hiabun, which I shared as an exercise to mentor enquiring and inspired poets to learn, so they might adopt and try different techniques and then give critique together with awesome comments... Yes, I used the words *** ****** and **** for context the rest was left to an individual imagination as in good poetry! It included reflective commentary encompasses innocent classification terminology used in the critique, reading, examining, appreciating, understanding and writing of poetry for example: POETIC DEVICES (enjambement, duality, keriji, images, collocation, semantic, oxymoron, repetition, listing etc.), STORY (personification, characterisation, subject, context, voice etc.), IMAGERY (synaesthesia), STRUCTURE ( lineation, breaks, syntactic etc.), SOUNDS (syllables, rhyme, alliteration, pace, musicality, phrasing, beat, assonance, onomatopoeia, mouthed rhythms, patterned) and WORDS (preposition, determiner, verbs, adverbs, lexical, nouns, adjectives) used by poets, critics and academics... And here it is : **** tongue-in-cheek haibun - a reflective commentary on writing a popular tanka Eye lashes flicker a shared urgent interest parting - dancing smile My first inspiration was *** passionate life squeezing screaming *** the thumping wall musicality of *** exhaustingly inventive sweaty and wet. I wanted to make it a senryu but for duality the female characterisation demanded two more lines each extending to seven syllables.   Arousing images captured her moaning splashing loneliness in unusual collocation. I was first excited by the placement of a hovering extended enjambement to give life to my final line, whilst also considering the satisfaction in using noisy mouthed rhythms.   I believe I easily hid the wet aroused context with a watery semantic field, that suggested she would choke and drown. So in my last line I had ‘pleasures’ as a cutting keriji to make clear the dominating ****** context, having previously used a preposition and determiner to maintain duality! Eid Al Adha; Eid of Sacrifices and the celebratory end of Hajj. Purity abides around their heart as souls are blessed with the sown seeds of joy. Allah hu Akbar; takbir echoes as devotees congregate in every mosque nearby. They wear embellished clothes, extending their hearts to one another and capturing the ecstasy in every single encounter. Sentiments are reciprocated, and gratitude is manifested on such an occasion as we recall the origins of the reason we sacrifice; and that is to follow the order of Allah, as Prophet Ibrahim did.

Words are often left unspoken amongst the mangled and the broken words can heal, but instead silence while we tolerate the violence on our bodies/ in our minds a tangled web, we dare not unwind to ourselves -and one another - we've been unkind, though we are lovers. Ponder this questionable existence where there is an abundance of resistance to be ourselves and feel the love constantly searching for a reason above instead of reaching out and extending our hand to our neighbor, our brother, "some kids in a van" It's funny how we land here in this position abandoning our families and breaking tradition to learn about the world and the way that it works some people have kinds souls and others are just jerks One day you ask an old man "Sir, may I have a dollar? I just want some food, maybe a water." His reaction could be harmful, harsh, judgemental the skill that needs building is very fundamental "You'll spend it on drugs! Get out of my face!" Discouraging words spoken of the human race, "Sir may I have a dollar or some food? Maybe water" Another man approaches as he walks with his daughter... The daughter tugs this man and she slips him some change How smart the children are.. Isn't it strange? with one small glance of the smile in this exchange the man understood, the answer was plain. Now you have a dollar, although not enough for food, inside you feel a warmth and a change in your mood. The youth can inspire every second, every day by giving out love hoping that the idea will stay. "Some kids in a van" were once your sons and daughters when people realize this, they seem to have a few more dollars words are often left unspoken each and every day- If you extended your heart and hand, that pain is sure to run astray.

The only consistent thing having my back is my corset always try to build connections but will never force it I have come to peace with oneness, I know its all about how I perceive aloneness Cannot say that some days I do not sway Teardrops mimic the rains, falling falling away Each day different energy to conquer An ambitious rida like my anthem by Tupac Shakur Summer perfumed memories making me hate the chilly breeze Such a beautiful array of colours but my mind is stuck on green Memories of the nights we laid underneath the moon's eyes Everyday communication through the 3 and 5-D Forget how much I loved my own eyes, vivid green that can pierce through lies Hips blessed with the holy fruit of the divine With you and without everyone I will continue to thrive As long as I can inhale., I will thrive As long as my hands are mine to control, I will express my thoughts on my mind As long as my spine allows, I will climb that mountain no doubt Always extending the lands I have touched.

If you burn a flower, it happens slowly. (to you) It may be astonishing to watch and smell and feel, but just look at what you've done to the flower... There are traces left; the scent lingers, but that flower will never be the same. The colors are no longer vibrant. The flower becomes stale and dried out. It becomes so frail that touching it could wither the rest of what is left behind. The worst part is that you have never been, could never be a flower. You don't know what it is to be a flower, you don't know what it feels like when it is burning. You blindly take action against nature not fearing the consequence. Nature is there for you, nature takes care of you. Look at what you have done to this beautiful flower that you once held so dear? Foolish little boy; once you stop caring for your planet, the planet no longer takes an interest in you. It no longer respects you, feels the need to protect and nurture you. You have taken this flower, this gift of the universe and damaged it. When the rain stops falling and the gardens cease growth, don't curse the skies and the soil. Return to the empty flower-bed where you found that brilliant flower standing, firmly rooted in the earth and extending up to you awaiting it's water and food. Feeding you it's beloved oxygen. That flower is gone, it has moved on to a new life, with new purpose. Once you waste something away, you cannot get it back. The lesson is hard to learn, but none the less, you have learned it. It is a  s h a m e , the earth loses flowers every day for little boys to learn big lessons. kd

It is a  s h a m e , the earth loses flowers every day for little boys to learn big lessons. kd

A wind blows like a wilderness of wolves A vendetta, an apocalyptic vendetta In its unpredictable, accidental quality That swerves images of realization into tragedy Neglecting all with swift intent upon a fallen fortress In complected interests of caresses Neither invited nor encouraged yet displayed Displayed vividly with exclusive claim to that oppression That howls by casting itself as a consequence of transgression Upon a conventional expectation that claims a privileged sense That persuades without an orator grotesquely amputated shapes Extending extraordinary artifice as its priceless wealth But who, yes who, has envy of so rich a nothing

how do you paint water, or clouds? I could read poetry for the brief, of my of remaining life, however brief, and never be satiated, of love, and streams of water, never stilled, always running in patterns that exist, but for milliseconds, admired by clouds born in, of, a moment of re-formation that is perpetuity long: unending shape shifting, like the freedom of flowing water currents, forming, reforming and unthinkable, nay, inconceivable that human eyes or their spoken words could capture their shiny white foamy essence But of love, that we can do, paint, design, recreate its endless loops of undulations, like the radiating circularity of a pebble dropped gently to its burial sight in a quiet pond. Humans know, understand and excel at clasping and grasping at the synapsing of human cells from differing bodies: the exogenous erogenous of human touch that like the clouds and the water, who could paint that, who capable of capturing said sensations that wrack and enliven the body with invisible interior chemical reactions. I cannot. Thankfully better men and women have treatised  their entreaties to the powers of the universe and been rewarded with the skilled delicacy of weaving human tapestries, the milliseconds of connectivity, eclectic and electrifying of different currents and differing amperage’s forming and reforming like water moving, just  like the clouds changing in response to the externalities of wind and gravity and all the forces of nature that encourage us to study and stare at these flows, hoping to entrance them into standing still for but a moment, and instead, mesmerizing us into standing motionless for hours in awe of their freedom. Love’s undulations too mesmerizing, and freezing us into place, or alternatively caucus to run endlessly arms extending, flying though not airborne, rocketing us upwards while feet never budging, but finding good wards, masterful metaphors to recreate and thus to share the fabulous mystery of this thing we know as love. 2:58AM Friday jul 22 (jewel 22) of the 23rd year of the 21st Century. The Milkyway Highway Tonight
you were there on his last night and was there on the night we stumbled upon an unfamiliar house the creatures were making a peculiar sound it was the strange place we inhabited for as long as we could be brave you were with me when i lost a limb you saw grief and tropical storms right through my eyes you heard words come out of my mouth, they were all in past tense and shaky the best four years a teenager could have i have spent them with you i gave you my trust, my blood and our promises you met the 3am version of myself which i believed that is ours only to keep i could not fathom the grief of losing a limb nor the grief of seeing our strange house collapse right in front of me but the concrete was made of trust you contended that you were here to extend succor, immediate aid to a grieving soul, to your friend you came in crowds extending sympathy as how i've seen it little did i know that succor meant pulling the trigger when the tectonic plates and the seismic waves bends the buildings and crumbles to the ground when the tropical storm named after me pull the tress from its roots floods the households and all the different routes or when your 3am uncertainties scare you, and you would howl and howl and howl but who will you run to?

trust and the strange house
*My first inspiration was *** passionate life squeezing screaming *** the thumping wall musicality of *** exhaustingly inventive sweaty and wet I wanted to make it a senryu but for duality the female characterisation demanded two more lines each extending to seven syllables Arousing images captured her moaning splashing loneliness in unusual collocation I was first excited by the placement of a hovering extended enjambement to give life to my final line whilst also considering the satisfaction in using noisy mouthed rhythms I believe I easily hid the wet aroused context with a watery semantic field suggesting she would choke and drown So in my last line I had ‘pleasures’ as a cutting keriji to make clear the dominating ****** context having previously used a preposition and determiner to maintain duality* **Exhausted shivers in windowed naked currents unfolding sinking then surfing vital wavelets drowning screams - pleasures wet bite** .

Eye lashes flicker, a shared urgent interest, parting - dancing smile
metaphors are rubber bands we may extend them as much as we like we may shoot them at our classmates we may impress our professors with the shapes we can contort them into but the more we extend them the more we wear them out and its very possible that with all of our stretching and extending we could render our metaphors useless snap

Metaphors
As the growing world unraveled And I began the dismal ascension of maturity I stumbled out the  fog of childhood And there you were: Advice to head and educate A Battlecry and a Mandate. Faith; in things to happen yet Strength in knowledge- hope in regret; Stories expressing casually: Evils impartiality. and tales of golden fantasies How no drug is ever stronger than me. These few phrases I imagine, you see Into dreams only I can keep. from start until the seventh day Waking hour's dreamless sleep. **Oh how you cushion the destruction- the entrancement of seduction to paint to play to grow to teach Expression extending as I reach**.
