"economy" poems
im tired of supporting this economy with my wealth and greed i've barely had a chance to consume this world i've barely had a chance to breathe yet im stuck under this rock somehow i've become so sedated numb to real life numb to the very touch raging with fire spewing out of every hole in my body i pick up with slack for everyone get nothing, get nothing get not a god ****** thing in return my thoughts are mice; quiet, nimble, and unwanted i take care of this store like a child, wellfed and nurtured but its a ton to cary when no one aknoledges what they do take care of the front, take care of the back take care of the front, take care of the back i dont want to be here and of course im picking up the slack i dont want to be here and of course im picking up the slack, no questions asked too young in mind too old in spirit im living off of pure fumes of instinct now

hard work works hardly
I'm part of the unemployed youth, it's the truth, a generation of dreamers with endless ambition, all with one mission: to strive for attention under constant tension. Overprotected and neglected, yet somehow connected, attacked by the constant barrage of words, we fly like birds, we are truly free in our imagination. No hope for a better tomorrow, in love with sorrow, nothing left to borrow. Money comes at a high cost, your youth...lost after slavery to the economy.

The Unemployed Youth
I'm gazing up, I'm gazing high. Let me watch the stars tonight. It mightn't give me better grades, or wash my clothes or clean the plates, or make me famous, make me rich, or change the direction of my fate. And it won't just fix the politics, or save the falling economy, or cease these tiring, endless wars and it won't eradicate poverty. But even if there's nothing right, let me watch the stars tonight. Hitchhiking through the galaxy, a blazing comet passes by, and waves to billion specks of light, those sparkling diamonds in the sky. Tomorrow I may change the world, or I might even exercise. Tonight I'm gazing up and high, I'm looking at the stars tonight.

STARGAZING
We'll make this country great again! I'll build that wall up high. Climate change? Economy! It's great! Don't wonder why. I'll take care of all your needs and get you jobs you'll love. Raise your right hand for the pledge and pray to God above! Do your duty as a man and grab her nice and tight! It's OK if she fights back, they like it rough, alright? Civil liberties, really, who needs 'em? Burn the flag? I'll just hang you for treason! This country is first. To protect it is best! Whose up for a fun little nuclear arms test? Capitalism? Yeah, I'm the money master! Pipelines! Who cares about ecological disaster? Gays? Girls? Abortion? WOE! If they want that, send em' down to Mexico! I'll rule with blood and honor too! I'll tame this crazy, jobless zoo! I'll fight for you and family rights! (Mostly for rich and mostly for whites!) Minorities? No, I'm not a racist. It's an alternate fact: Totally baseless! America the great. America the free! Put a bigger pair of **** on old Lady Liberty. Goodbye all you immigrants! All you do is steal and loot. Leave a couple of 'em behind: Someone's gotta pick our fruit! Thank you all for choosing me! This is very great and swell. Prove that you will follow now: Let's all go straight to- Heil!

Devil at the Pulpit
I see the older generations say “I miss the good ole days” “I miss the America I grew up in” Do they fail to realize that their generation did this? Their generation ruined the economy Their generation poisoned the earth Their generation drained the Earth of her resources Their generation segregated people of color Their generation disowns their children for being gay Their generation is full of hate But go on, please, tell me how my generation is ruining the world. My generation who is chanting Black Lives Mater My generation who is trying to reduce their plastic usage My generation who is fighting for LGBT+ rights My generation who is fighting for women to have the right to their body My generation who is still in school My generation who is mentally unstable But still is trying to make things right. My generation is doing the things their generation failed to. Their generation had their time, and they failed their children Their grandchildren So now it’s time for a new generation My generation

Their/My Generation
Ah, the season of gifting. Antagonist of year-long thrifting. Tradition sadistic, Materialistic, Four quarters in pockets worth sifting. This year I hereby proclaim I shan’t be consumed by the game. Cycle of curse Purpose perverse The namesake, an oversight became. Christ’s birth did in fact begin, Holiday distracted by sin. Misguided it be To forget idly The sacrifice He made for all men. We naively regard generosity As holiday’s behavioral piosity. But if dollars and cents Are the tools of offense Over shadow favor luminosity. Water in Africa is ***** American child in poverty. Politics aside, Convenient homicide, To enable the ills of society. In the global economy we flaunt Wealth by comparison, bitter taunt. First world problems abound Pass the turkey around Central heating and air, what a jaunt! What if this season we decide To extend two palms open wide? Sacrificing ourselves Rather than stocking our shelves Dying whispers echo true: “we tried.” Don’t spend your money on me this year. Not iPhones, not tickets, not Blu-ray or beer. Instead know you can Distribute more than A snort, a lie, and a tear. (optional conclusion to assist interpretation of last line) Snort of derision, Lies of provision, Tears, even true, Hardly subdue Anguish deprived of tradition’s revision.

Excuse me, sir, your pants are on fire. Yes, i am talking to you, sir. This is quite a mess you have made, you starry-eyed dreamer. Not that it was perfect in the beginning. Nothing is. When my grandfather got old, he made sure to dress well. If he was to die on any given day, he intended to do it in his Sunday best. My grandfather died in a unisex hospital gown. When i was growing up, Mom always made sure i wore clean underwear. It would be shameful to die in ***** ones. Speaking of growing up, i was raised on Reaganomics. It doesn't matter which side of the aisle you stand on these days, because Reagan defeated communism through the clever use of money. When my grandmother was set to pass, she faced the changing seasons with poise and dignity.  She was ready to move on, to reunite with loved ones lost. My grandmother died in a unisex hospital gown. My best friend, Peter, didn't put much stock in appearances. He was funny and sarcastic. We all loved him like a brother.  Peter's mom buried him in brand new Ecko gear.  He died in boxer shorts on the floor of a ramshackle apartment blue in the face from a ****** overdose. Thank god none of these people will ever need healthcare. Mr. President, sir, i am no Republican. i am an American. You do remember us, don't you? How silly of me...of course you don't. You were busy watching your legacy. i would have watched it better, if it had been my name at risk. My name is all i have. When Bill Clinton was president, he lied about getting a ******* But we forgave him. It was just a ******* It's not like it was our privacy or healthcare at stake. Or our economy. Have you dreamed about any of those things, sir? Or just your legacy? Who knows? How well do we ever know anyone? Christmas is right around the corner, and i and others have made you a fine gift, a lovely suit. It's invisible. You probably won't notice. No matter... one day you will have to remove your flaming pants. To try on your new suit. Or, god forbid, to put on a unisex hospital gown. And then you will finally see your legacy.

I speak in praise of the ******** yes, and as a male, I decline to be clandestine about this. The reason I so admire the ******** is that it's the female's key to being multiply ******** and frankly, I'm in awe of this. You see, the male ***** can't compare because, of course, it has a dual purpose.   It wasn't put there just for bliss, which is the only purpose of the ******** Males must just resign themselves to their dangling ganglia, the **** which is so easy to malign compared to the delicate paradigm of the **** and its remarkable economy of design. Now I realize that females may be suspicious of my focus on their ******** but actually, I think it’s ingenious.   My own discovery of this was serendipitous and propitious. You see? Really, I’m envious of the ******** because it's indefatigable and delectable, (I think she likes a little nibble), and anyway, there’s not much point in trying to distinguish between *********** and the ******** So there's my poem to the little **** with admiration and respect. I speak in praise of the ******** Truly. A gift for all of us.

Poverty Holding on to me Dragging me down Down D O W N There is no revival There is no survival No way to reclaim The life that was mine Trickling away Nickel and dime I can't support my family-- I can't even support myself Can't let my children know This lack of things to provide Even though I want to; When wants and needs collide. I can't explain it to you You wouldn't understand This suffering I see Sometimes I think it only happens Just to me I have so much hope for my children They have to go further Make more Do more Be more More than I was More than I am I will never be what I want This world, so costly I can't help it- but mostly It's the people in my life, The ones I hold at night, The people who keep me going Poverty Dragging me down But I will not give up I can't release hope For my children and their children- Break this cyclical way of living; Break the death and deceiving I am stuck, but I have hope I have love and I can cope But I can't hold on much longer Ripped to shreds by the economy I loved you, my daughter Be more

We find multiple ways to disconnect Where business and technology intersect We kick one another for cash When we need equilibrium for our economy Our morals disintegrate to ash And we trade away our autonomy But we don't dare reflect Instead we disconnect We turn people into symbols and numbers So we can more comfortably slumber After causing heartbreaking pain Through bureaucratic chains Because face to face Our heart will race And we'll examine our submerged morals That lie in the depths with the coral But our reflection is too much to bear So we cowardly choose not to care The only way we can feel ecstatic Is to turn people into demographics The Internet connects us But also satisfies lust And imitates human contact Which has a negative impact The feeling leaves us sated And we don't feel the need to change Our armor becomes plated And we shoot arrows from long range Because we don't like the idea of being one another We get used to the idea of not seeing one another We disconnect so we don't have to try We disconnect so we can slowly die The ****** disconnection continues As we find more violent avenues We utilize fatal instruments To ****** without the sense Of physically feeling The life we're stealing We stabbed one another with swords Until the bullets soared But we still needed more So we disconnected further And became satellite searchers Studying people through actions Defining them by faction We don't have any interest in their personality or flaws All we're concerned with is if they're breaking the law The law we wrote to tip the scales The law that makes us too big to fail A husband leaves his wife Disconnecting from her life She's left with a child To raise in the wild Until a drone drops a bomb On the struggling single mom She's not an investor So we'll just harvest her worthless life Who'll be her protector When she's near someone we don't like? We **** her from our computer That's the way we casually mute her We carefully cultivated a disconnect To treat one another like insects This mentality will infect Until we interject Once we finally reflect Love will connect

Syria oh Syria why do you bleed? Brother fights brother without thought or need Ruled by a tyrant for so many years And now the spilt blood is washed away by tears Democracy by debate you tried and you failed Now the wives and mothers they cry and they wail Democracy now sought at the point of a gun Your country in turmoil, lives being undone I sympathise and weep at your terrible plight Your people are dying, no end in sight Can man ever undo the chaos he's wrought? Going to war without reason or thought Syria oh Syria your bloods being drained By those who would seek political gain When the killing is done will you be better off? Is what you might gain worth all the loss? Your economy gone so how will you live? The worlds in recession, no money to give Families destroyed and homes are no more All destroyed by a political war

'They're just a teen' gets dropped on the daily. Like the added couple of letters at the end determine whether our feelings are valued or not. They only ever tell us they're here for us when someone offs themselves on the train tracks next to the school. Call this number if you feel down. Teenage years are the time to find out who you are, and maybe I am a depressed mess, but us Gen Z kids are doing our best to make sure us sad'ens feel alright. Sometimes we don't feel alright, and, so what, if it is just down to hormones and periods, and Max's muscly shoulders or Louise's brown eyes. We are allowed to feel like **** Cos Teenage years are the time where we find out life isn't like animated movies; that bad guys are defeated and the hero wins; cos, in the end, sometimes we're our own saboteurs. And we find out, sometimes that's okay;  to knock ourselves down will make us build ourselves up in the grand scheme of things; I sure as hell know I hate how I feel most days, and I'm sure most teenagers do. I'm just a teen; but I have a loud voice, terrible jokes and a **** economy to grow into, and I'm allowed to be mad and cry and I'm allowed to feel like **** and want to die because in the end, I know it'll all be fine. Married or alone with wine. Sometimes life is **** and that's okay; and to me, that _is_ the teenage dream.

a teenage mind; explored.
Income is an intangible, Taxes are an intangible, Neither exists right now, Only the promise of it in the future... That's what credit is... a bet against a promise. Which means all of nothing, since it hasn't happened yet, all credit is risk of one degree or another, ...based on tolerance or gumption. If all people are, "risky," then all credit is risk, none can be more credit-worthy; less risky... So why not turn future liabilities into income, instead of future income into a liability? Hmm... Impossible? Yeah, ...since anything that gives ordinary people power must be impossible. Jesus must not believe in individual power. The Founding Fathers must not have believed in individualism. No, ...only the state backed by a selected wealthy few should determine everyone's fate by economy. Only a few should have it all.... ...no opportunity for anyone else; the weak, poor, untalented, ugly, simple, ordinary, dumb, handicapped; those ones don't matter. Just NFL players count. Only singers and actors count. Only bankers and doctors matter. Jesus would agree. Makes so much sense?

Solving Unemployment
Law, All ye termites hacking ants are you without sin? Twisting the law to your greed thus dethroning justice Thou that dis-virgins the law to suit your selfish taste, Did not equity say that none is above the law? Money-thirsty vultures seeking positions to occupy. Law hackers depriving justice and equity of her rights Equity and justice now lives in shame of her virginity, Almighty termite, do not your deeds speak evil of your sins? I weep blood for justice and equity whose daughters you ***** Is there none whose conscience still breathe or lives? Power-driven termites making uncountable promises Yet accomplishing none but your calculated interests. Equity, All ye leaders that preach peace, are you not corrupt minded? En-slaving accounts meant for public welfare Yet you claim to have the peoples interest in mind, Did not the law command you to let equity and justice smile? Parasitic predators hi-jacking the country's economy Filthy termites proclaiming injustice upon powerless ants, Justice hackers, do not your conscience judge your judgments? I wish that you allow justice and equity have her way. Law benders at whose feet equity and justice bow Rippers of the law, at your hands justice is twisted, Is your nature as humans so inhumane? Little wonder the earth lives in fear of your tyranny. Justice, All ye slanders of the law, why not sheath your swords of corruption? Your unchecked power has broken the wings of justice Thereby making equity a widow without a husband, Remember your oaths to serve with justice and equity; Did you deceive the ants that voted you in to serve them? Chameleons occupying seats of filtered ambitions Woe betide your conscience for refusing to judge you, Are you not guilty of molesting the law? I mourn for the shameful death of equity and justice. You that crafts the law to fit your suit of corruption Remember a day comes when justice will laugh again, And you being powerful cannot escape the law of Karma. Karma, Murderers of the law, will you also bribe karma? I doubt if you can buy the law of karma with money. Thou whose gluttony corrupts justice and equity, Don't you feel guilty that you disvirgined the law? Equity and justice now roams about in nakedness, You that preach the law, are you true to yourself? Heartless spiders cob-webbing the law to entangle poor ants Did not equity bid you come to justice with clean hands? Yet with filthy garments you condemn innocent ants; Mind you that someday the law will rise again. All ye scavengers of justice and hackers of the law, Do you think you can **** the law of Karma?

Hackers Of The Law
Law, All ye termites hacking ants are you without sin? Twisting the law to your greed thus dethroning justice Thou that dis-virgins the law to suit your selfish taste, Did not equity say that none is above the law? Money-thirsty vultures seeking positions to occupy. Law hackers depriving justice and equity of her rights Equity and justice now lives in shame of her virginity, Almighty termite, do not your deeds speak evil of your sins? I weep blood for justice and equity whose daughters you ***** Is there none whose conscience still breathe or lives? Found Poem: Success in Today's Global Economy
(And Reasons Why I Have It Pretty Good) 2. Starving people in Africa who have nothing that even resembles a stable govermnent to keep them safe and fed and alive.  3. Couples going through divorce or recovering from divorce, and their poor children. =\ 4. Drug addicts living on the streets without a family or a hope.  5. Women and children caught up in human trafficking and slavery who have no one to save them.  6. Would-be-mothers who cannot have children. This is heartbreaking for many women.  7. Children abused by their own parents who then have to go through foster care and withstand the constant reminder that they do not have parents that love and care for them.  8. People who have no hope and who believe a bottle of pills is the only way to take away their pain. Life is never a curse, and it is not one's responsibility to take when it becomes unbearable.  9. Fathers who can't find a job in our economy and who feel like a failure because they can't support their family's needs.  10. People who sit in a church and believe they are being good enough to go to heaven, when they've never heard the true gospel spoken to them before.  1. And most importantly...the great number of individuals who have not heard and those who have rejected the Good News of Jesus Christ. It's nothing that I have done that makes me any different than them, but only the grace of God that I took hold of. I won't stand by while my fellow man lives on less than I do every day. I am blessed with food, a better government than many in this world, and parents who love each other and the Lord. I have a life of hope that sustains me better than drugs, a life worth living, and the financial support that only God could supply. And I have a church that preaches the gospel each Sunday and reminds me of how much I need Him.  Lord, never let me forget Your many blessings. Self-pity, worry, and depression keep me from my true potential as Your daughter and servant. Show me how to share my blessings with others, so that I can spread Your Word to everyone I meet. Amen.

Superiority to Fate
As this world runs in cruelty and in greed, Our eyes see the world perfect-blindly. Those who have power stay unfair and unjust, indeed - The stated laws were implemented tightly. Power over humanity exists in today’s world. We as powerless have no right to scrutinize, but to concur. Their pledges remain twirled - The hurdle stays in abundance with no cure. It is in us where the grievous suffering is in store; And we have none to succor them all. The hunger and incurable malady strike humankind in any form. It led to increased mortality, decreased economy, but who to call? Whoever has power, our safety cannot be guaranteed – They are the ones that makes our life at risk. They stand as an impediment for our nation not to succeed. Their fall is soon our victory – this is not in the pace-brisk. It’s been a year, still no sign of good deed. Half of the world is asleep – Some shock for awakening their soul is what they need. We have lost enough; at least we have ourselves to keep. The string of our patience reached its limitation. Rich people hoard too much and now most of us left deprived. Who’ll lift marginalized Filipinos in our nation? – Who'll give us fair allocation that is incumbent for us to survive? Tedious journey might it seem. Our souls’ little voices are still unheard. What life this could be without our soaring dream? – We shall move our mountains even gratification is deferred. Now, the time is ours to stand as one with clenched hands, It’s time for us to deplore and abhor their thoughts. It’s time to listen in our souls' little voices to be heard at once. And it’s time for us to break the darkness by our flaming oath. - Aubergine Cher Bautista

Indian pipes rise ghostly from ancient compost of needled tears shed white bells corpse-silent shunning Light’s vital touch sleeping instead in symbiotic beds of gracious hosts, who in turn kiss the feet of living Giants lushly burning gilded rays to fuel their green economy
