"dewdrops" poems
Cicadas and katydids are calling Breezes blow in from my open window Roses are blooming and leaves are falling The moon's rays hitting my lawn look like snow Owls are singing from majestic trees While sweet Bluebirds are sleeping in bushes Night dances through the softly blowing breeze And Midnight silently the world hushes Dewdrops like jewels shine on roses sweet And the stars twinkle all through the calm night While the Fairies dance on enchanted feet And the moon happily shines very bright And I under my warm covers doth sleep Until pretty morning brightly doth peep. ~Marian~

Summer Night (Sonnet)
~~~~English~~~~ Such beauty takes away my breath As the sunrays shine across the peaceful path The trees of this forest sway and nod in the dancing breeze Which caresses my cheeks Pastel clouds in the watercolor sky Makes the forest with its path beautiful And birds sing and warble in the tall treetops God alone creates this beauty The bluebells bordering the path Are kissed by sparkling dewdrops And snowdrops have long come out of Their veil of snow Lacy green leaves from the blowing trees Provide shade in the sweet summer And the breezes provide coolness on a hot day At this lovely place of beauty ~~~~French~~~~ Une telle beauté enlève mon souffle Comme les rayons du soleil brille à travers la voie pacifique Les arbres de cette forêt se balancent et hocher la tête dans la brise dansante Qui caresse mes joues Pastels nuages dans le ciel aquarelle Rend la forêt avec son chemin belle Et les oiseaux chantent et modulées dans les hautes cimes Dieu seul crée cette beauté Les jacinthes qui bordent le chemin Sont caressées par les gouttes de rosée mousseux Perce-neige viennent depuis longtemps de Leur voile de neige Dentelles feuilles vertes des arbres de soufflage Fournir de l'ombre en été douce Et les brises offrent fraîcheur par une chaude journée À ce bel endroit d'une beauté ~Hilda~
The Path Of Sunrays
She saw the world through a camera lens And that's just how it was With filters and Glares from strangers Who didn't feel the sun She took photos of the rain And dewdrops on the grass Of smiling warm faces And things that were just crass She dreamt of her pictures Under bylines and over books Her documents of others Filled with stills that could speak words She took pictures of her girl Who was black and blue in depth Who wanted to be colored But her filter shown red She captured her in pain And in her rare bright smiles She told her that things "Just take a while" She made portfolios and scrapbooks Of their adventures and their muse She never knew that her girl would take her life At a quarter after two She cried and cried weeks to days Until the tears just stopped When she took a photo of the rain And felt her sadness drop It shattered all around the floor And she fumbled with the keys She printed all the pictures And posted them with ease She scattered them around the town Then fell down to rest For she could feel a burden being Lifted off her chest she went to the school Of the boy who had hurt her And her girl She stood up She told them "Has she finally done enough? She ripped her skin with blades And fasted for days. She lit skin on fire Just because you are liars. Look at this picture Do you see her Look mister She was beautiful Yet you made her feel Like she was void of zeal You're the ones who told her what to do And she took her own life Just like you told her to do. Are you happy now! Or are you feeling blue Are you regretting what you told her to do!" And with a single crack Of a baseball bat she took a picture Of there bodies cracked shells As she plumbed them to hell She saw that red filter And she felt the pain inside She could feel herself laugh Mania arise The she took one final shot A picture with the the two Then killed herself to rise anew And she got her picture under bylines And became famous for her art For everyone loves the artist Who kills for their art.
I've got the children to tend The clothes to mend The floor to mop The food to shop Then the chicken to fry The baby to dry I got company to feed The garden to **** I've got shirts to press The tots to dress The can to be cut I gotta clean up this hut Then see about the sick And the cotton to pick. Shine on me, sunshine Rain on me, rain Fall softly, dewdrops And cool my brow again. Storm, blow me from here With your fiercest wind Let me float across the sky 'Til I can rest again. Fall gently, snowflakes Cover me with white Cold icy kisses and Let me rest tonight. Sun, rain, curving sky Mountain, oceans, leaf and stone Star shine, moon glow You're all that I can call my own.
in the heart of the night a slice of moonlight cascading beckoned i rouse its mesmerizing lure gently stirs a hazy remembrance entranced from shadows i emerge hearkening its echo you’re dreaming awaken its shimmering light engulfed me prying open my stubborn eyes in the onyx darkness its silver glow enticed me outside i stood silent whilst glistening dewdrops danced on my toes a sterling lunar crescent enlightening midnight softly serenades me wake up life’s a trance you’re hypnotized mesmerized in an ocean of emptiness i heard a celestial orb calling and ne’er slept again ©2016janetaylor
1 Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me, 2 Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee; 3 Sounds of the rude world heard in the day, 4 Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd a way! 5 Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song, 6 List while I woo thee with soft melody; 7 Gone are the cares of life's busy throng, -- 8 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me! 9 Beautiful dreamer awake unto me! 10 Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea 11 Mermaids are chaunting the wild lorelie; 12 Over the streamlet vapors are borne, 13 Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn. 14 Beautiful dreamer, beam on my heart, 15 E'en as the morn on the streamlet and sea; 16 Then will all clouds of sorrow depart, -- 17 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me! 18 Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
Beautiful Dreamer Serenade
As rivers seek the sea, Much more deep than they, So my soul seeks thee Far away: As running rivers moan On their course alone So I moan Left alone. As the delicate rose To the sun's sweet strength Doth herself unclose, Breadth and length: So spreads my heart to thee Unveiled utterly, I to thee Utterly. As morning dew exhales Sunwards pure and free, So my spirit fails After thee: As dew leaves not a trace On the green earth's face; I, no trace On thy face. Its goal the river knows, Dewdrops find a way, Sunlight cheers the rose In her day: Shall I, lone sorrow past, Find thee at the last? Sorrow past, Thee at last?
*Dewdrops shining in the sun On the sweet hibiscus blooms Sweet orchids open their satin petals To greet the sweetly shining sun Against the royal blue sky With pink cotton candy clouds Floating across the pretty sky Like a slow dream or illusion Too good to be true Winding meadows and roaring waterfalls Make sweet pictures of landscape Mountains high and ravines sharp With huge boulders Paths rocky and steep Such a lovely place* ~Marian~
Dewdrops (10w)
*The winds softly whisper, Singing a gentle romantic tune, As dusty pink roses ... bathed in dewdrops, Leaving a pleasant fragrance, In attune. When the petals sway and unfold, Into the tender breeze, 'Neath the lucent moon, And the sky sparkle like diamonds, Twinkling from above ... with ease. Overlooking a refine emerald blanket, Surrounded by sprinkles of white smooth pebbles, Beside a lovely exotic tree, On this playful summers night, And it seems quite special.*
Singing A Gentle Romantic Tune
Lost to backdrops scrolling past, She sits knitting in the carriage of a train. The vague needles They scintillate and glimpse With the cadence of the wheels – Upbeating ceaselessly. Strips of tiny loops And eyelets like dewdrops Of condensation Grouped on the superior rim. Once in a while, She gives a heave To loosen more yarn from the skein Of Filipino-made wool, brushed worsted weave. Spun and carded from the richest fleece, Deeper in the wicker basket by her feet. The needles flash, With ancient rhythms and attack Of duellists in their chainmail coats. With little hesitation she can tack From plain to purl to blackberry. Count back by rote or slip a stitch While the fish-eyed gimlets gleam. All gather profusely in her lap, As windfall trove, rich-patterned And warm with peach-fuzz nap, All crafted from a single line of yarn. Marvels fall continuously from wise Spell-binding hands and all is well for now. (9/11/13 @xirlleelang)
Mending Queen
The sun is shining through the trees Tiny rain-washed bluebells Are growing at my feet Birds are calling to each other Moss is growing on the ground And lichen on the trunks of trees Dappled sunshine lights my path Ferns are showing off their green lace And dewdrops are sparkling on the grass While the sky couldn't be a bluer sapphire hue A path of cherry blossoms in bloom Tower overhead Their sweet fragrance dancing on the breeze A circle of mushrooms Is where the Fairies dance each night That is where I dance too Today is such a lovely day Spent in my enchanted Woodland ~Marian~
The Woodland
When once the sun sinks in the west, And dewdrops pearl the evening’s breast; Almost as pale as moonbeams are, Or its companionable star, The evening primrose opes anew Its delicate blossoms to the dew; And, hermit-like, shunning the light, Wastes its fair bloom upon the night, Who, blindfold to its fond caresses, Knows not the beauty it possesses; Thus it blooms on while night is by; When day looks out with open eye, Bashed at the gaze it cannot shun, It faints and withers and is gone.
Dewdrops & Teardrops
In a dreamy woodland There's a cottage just for me And it's waiting there now Beside a peaceful stream Where quiet maples grow And deer are not afraid Where mushrooms grow in sweet silence And sunlight glistens amongst the leaves There's an enchanted cottage Hidden in those shady woods Where running cedar And lady ferns intertwine Where tears never fall From any eye That is where my secret abode Is found in shadowy canopy Of sun-dappled trees Where dewdrops passionately kiss The demure bluebells Where breezes whisper Through tall, swaying pines And rustle ancient autumn leaves From many seasons ago Where time stands still And woodland fairies dance Where willow harps are played Echoing in dreamy breezes Through the trees and dancing through the air Waltzing with the butterflies Touching the lemon citrus sun With fingers of gold And spring days bygone That's where you'll find me Dreaming riparian Scent of petrichor Healing my soul In summer woodland yonder ~Marian~
In A Dreamy Woodland
Today I took a walk with you in the woods it was foggy, drizzly, overcast and the sun dully shone through the tangle of tree branches that curled around us like a nest we walked hand in hand and the light rain settled into your eyelashes melancholy dewdrops dripping from the clouds I've seen you cry. They looked nothing like tears
In the Forest
Sunrise Rays break through dewdrops cease to fall over fields Morning Breakfast with fiends barricaded in a fortress High noon Creatures spill out blocking out abstract skies Twilight Fight for your life Don't let the clothes weigh you down Nightfall Bleed out while you can There's nowhere to hide in the darkness
Nightfall
***Green hills covered In a cloak of sparkling dewdrops Like jewels cast among the green Glittering in the warm sunshine As smooth as pearls from the ocean Hidden under the sea-covered ground Green meadows Full of dancing flowers Kissed by the sunlight And enchanted by the Moon Green leaves For making iced tea That cools us off in summertime And green mint Fresh from the garden To make mint iced tea Green grass and catnap Is a kitty's treat Along with green herbs From the garden Green leaves On the tree Are like a fan Cooling me off When the wind blows Green trees Are a bird's delight Where they can build their nest Green stems on the flowers sweet And green bramble Green bushes Planted here and there Green ferns Dancing by the creek Paints a poetic picture Hunter green moss Fills the Forest with beauty Green palm trees Stand proudly on The tropical islands Ivy green Climbs a walls And creates a winter scene Green pairies Covered in green grass I just love this Green Earth!*** ~Marian~
Green Nature
I am like a dew drop on the edge of a leaf Cautiously balancing on tip toes Another dew drop appears next to me A whiff of soft wind sways the leaf We start pirouetting on the edge Balancing with all the skills we have Finally, we bond together Different, yet unrecognizable now A ray of light passes through us To create a beautiful rainbow It’s just the dewdrops © Amitav (Radiance)
Dewdrops
Dawn The routine Awake to a standing pause Before the wheel turns again Beans break the seal The fresh start of a new day Slowly grinding into movement This disturbance is accepted Its purpose is measured Against the quiet peace Deep berry-breathing oils the wheel Pale orange rays soothe the stiffness Inhale everything Milled dewdrops drip comfort Share the moment with an old friend You No words needed Just a nod between turns © 2019 MJL
Between dewdrops,petals and soil
this world is a dewdrop world but yet... but Master Issa wrote this after the death of his beloved daughter from smallpox... Even though he understood that we are dewdrops only here on earth for a moment, he was devastated
Issa's dewdrop world
White gauzy smoke is blown through the lily, Floating on air, Fondling leaves and dewdrops who're glittery, A view so rare. On a picture elegance is enjoyed, A Polaroid, Presented in a silver-gallery, Who's gloomy ne'er. With gauzy threads from a silky cocoon, White as the moon, Lily-hands craft blooming embroidery, With flowers there. Like gossamers this elegance's tender, Lit and slender, Shining at the afternoon silvery, Which does not flare. O Mâhî, this form is a web of rhymes, Who slowly chimes, With threads we're finally stitching poetry, Crafted with care.
Gossamer
as clear as ice, in night or day reflecting faintly, a soulful reverie reminding its presence subtly dewdrops dripping rhythmically standing in the way, an invisible wall trying to reach the distant horizon of which, birds appear and disappear like speckles of black in orange canvas eyes—blank and expressionless mournfully staring in quietude of the distant mountains and hills and clouds floating idly in monotone silence, a hand reaches out only to be impeded by a cold caress
