"declining" poems
she wanted to be a blade of grass amid the fields but he wouldn't agree to be a dandelion she wanted to be a robin singing through the leaves but he refused to be her tree she spun herself into a web and    looking for a place to rest turned to him but he stood straight declining to be her corner she tried to be a book but he wouldn't read she turned herself into a bulb but he wouldn't let her grow she decided to become a woman and though he still refused to be a man she decided it was all right by Nikki Giovanni S T  ..... two's-day :) 17 dec 2013

Hey Human! I am your Sibling. Queen bee wings are Ripped, bee niblings are Smoked For Your Honey Sweet. Hey human! Listen your Sibling’s Buzz. Tiger lost bones for Medicine, Fox lost fur for Fashion, Sharks lost fins for Soup. Hey human! Do Not Butcher Siblings. Simba’s life is not your Trophy, Jumbo’s tusks are not Decors, Helmets of Hornbills are not jewels. Hey human! Do Not Reap Siblings. Emperors of ice continent lost land, Economics is making Amazon less, Logging makes Orangutans homeless. Hey human! Do Not Invade Siblings. Warm oceans bleach corals, Water depleted in cities, We ingest plastic regularly. Hey human! Do Not Desert the Earth. Overfishing is holocaust of aquatic life, Livestock levitates toxic emissions. Hey human! Do Not Prey on Siblings. Lichens stunned by pollution, Symbionts are disintegrating, Biodiversity is declining. Hey human! Be Together with Siblings. Hey Human! We are Offsprings of Mother Nature. Monera, Animalia, Fungi, Plantae, Protista all have common roots. We are branches of the one Phylogenetic Tree rooting Common Ancestry unto LUCA. Hey Human! We are Siblings. Hey Human! Recall your Siblings. Hey Human! Revive your Siblings.

The Forgotten Sibling
Riding down the rapidly declining slope on the bright, soft-water day, I imagine myself as nothing more than an animal falling down a waterfall into a lake clear and crisp. The wheels of my bike turn rapidly like the a propeller of a plane, just as powerful and just as dangerous if I fall, but only to me. Catching the sea salt breeze my blonde, sun bleached hair flies as if it were flying on seagulls wings. I am a cadmium yellow blur on a painting, moving much too fast to be captured and depicted accurately. I ride until the end of my slope this way, finishing strong with out a hint of regret.

Bike Ride
By the evening when it covers the earth softly in a veil of darkness. As all the colours change, from a bright inviting blue of the heavens, now softening, losing their glow, as shadows fall beneath the Earth When the last ray of sunlight has arrived the stars rise in order to claim the sky for themselves, as so does the moon, overshining them. Vision may shrink due the lack of light, causing many to get anxious if they would have to travel throughout the arrival of the night. The time to rest has been brought near, but some do choose to stay awake, gazing, observing, watching as the stars above them leave their gentle, slow and most importantly fascinating trail. Thus for them, the lovers of this declining day, made it their mission to stay awake and admire all the beauty the night serves them. A time of charming for those who share love, for those who have engaged themselves in the sweet embrace of slumber. As time goes on I lose myself in this wandering fragnance, until the light of the sun, manages to greet me for a fresh day. ~ Umi

The Evening
It's easy to hear the loneliness in her voice As she speaks she has no one to talk about, there's just no choice She talks about the good old days Filled with love and compassion all was just a faze Loneliness is when you cry There's no one there to make her smile or dry her eyes No one to help with the demons inside her head No one to subside the discomfort of pain from deep inside The demons are here to prey on the misguided brain She continues to hide her pain Only to give into the loneliness of despair Her loneliness has only become a reality because nobody cares Trying to fade away loneliness has taken its toll On her soul Sound of loneliness is silent She doesn't hear the birds singing with great talent She doesn't feel the sun shining People pass her by as if she doesn't exist so she starts declining She wishes her heart could love again highly unlikely loneliness has become her only way of life She remains unable to feel due to the coldness in her heart stuck by a knife

Sound of Loneliness
Ashes rained down on the fields As fire rises Nature has no shields The elements' surprises With declining yields The valley of ashes Where the sun shined The planet crashes Where the moon aligned Life flashes The world is ours I hate humans Make money buy cars I hate humans Get drunk battle scars I hate humans Oh, just watch the stars I hate humans I'm not one to stereotype Did it for the rhyme Smoking from the peace pipe Feeling sublime All we got is time They say we got time Deforestation Exploitation Marriage of children before their first ovulation Predation Degradation Taxation Starvation I am dreaming of salvation The world is ours I hate humans Make money buy cars I hate humans Get drunk battle scars I hate humans Oh, just watch the stars I hate humans My story's pretty sad I'd love to stay and chat But the world is just a rabbit hat Oppressed women in Chad Why so negative, it is not only mad One finds beauty behind the evil mask Its only one life you had

Jealousy Is hell Because I do not enjoy Myself, And well I enjoy all of you- You With your smooth moves Perky and peachy attitudes Teach me To be as sweet As you- Beautiful Can be cruel Not like it is on tv, Or beside me Everyone shining, Smiling, While my smile feels Like hiding Under this wax mask A painted canvus Of pale and black Don't look at me I'm a heartattack A bad act- Broken glass Of a painted doll I am a leo lioness Right? Righteous- Your hieness Sparkles on my eyelids But you see I have enough pride To hide it- Its priceless, Really hillarious Sometimes I feel Like a bad ***** But I'm none of this I am the pray, The gazelle in the grass But I am also the lion Waiting to attack myself Because you see, Jealousy Is hell, I am the lion I am the gazelle I am heaven and hell In a vessle of myself See what you will, Your critiques are nothing My only enemy is me My only savior is me I am a lion But I am also A sheep Don't look at me Sometimes I cry in the mirror Blink my mascara tears, Blurry mess- Can't fit in my old dresses Tearing apart at the seams, Literally Filthy Famish Crawled out of my skin And made some bad habits Declining wealth Declining health Laughing as the scales tip- After all I am a person, Not permanent Why should I care Oh, But I do I do when I look at you You with your talented hands With your spider lashes And good moods Teach me to feel As good As you My lipstick smears and screams As the paintings on my face mock me So will my body, My body thats bruised And missused Perfume to cover the ***** They'll see my cherry lips move But they won't hear me talking Its perfect, The mask of confidence My incompetence Is a perfect fit No, really Its lovely When I wear it, People love me! Because people think I love myself No Jealousy Is hell, Beacuse I do not Love myself I love everybody else, Even the ones who Say I am full of it, Selfish leo, Selfish lion Exaggerated ego- Winking eyelids Sparkle, Wings to my forehead- I flaunt What I don't want, Because you want me to You want me To love me Like you do All of you I remember the words From my mother, Jealousy Is not a pretty color- Its crimson red, Exposed Like blood, I've had to sew it up No- Don't look here Not at my guts, Look at my eyelids Are these not enough?!?! I'm going out and get something. I don't know what. I don't care. Whatever's out there, I'm going to get it. Look in those shop windows at boxes and boxes of Reeboks and Nikes to make me fly through the air like Michael Jordan like Magic. While I'm up there, I see Spike Lee. Looks like he's flying too straight through the glass that separates me from the virtual reality I watch everyday on TV. I know the difference between what it is and what it isn't. Just because I can't touch it doesn't mean it isn't real. All I have to do is smash the screen, reach in and take what I want. Break out of prison. South Central homey's newly risen from the night of living dead, but this time he lives, he gets to give the zombies a taste of their own medicine. Open wide and let me in, or else I'll set your world on fire, but you pretend that you don't hear. You haven't heard the word is coming down like the hammer of the gun of this black son, locked out of this big house, while ***** looks out the window and sees only smoke. ***** doesn't see anything else, not because he can't, but because he won't. He'd rather hear me talking about mo' money, mo' honeys and gold chains and see me carrying my favorite things from looted stores than admit that underneath my Raider's cap, the aftermath is staring back unblinking through the camera's lens, courtesy of CNN, my arms loaded with boxes of shoes that I will sell at the swap meet to make a few cents on the declining dollar. And if I destroy myself and my neighborhood "ain't nobody's business, if I do," but the police are knocking hard at my door and before I can open it, they break it down and drag me in the yard. They take me in to be processed and charged, to await trial, while Americans forget the day the wealth finally trickled down to the rest of us.

Droop, droop no more, or hang the head, Ye roses almost withered; Now strength and newer purple get, Each here declining violet. O primroses! let this day be A resurrection unto ye; And to all flowers ally’d in blood, Or sworn to that sweet sisterhood: For health on Julia’s cheek hath shed Claret and cream commingled; And those her lips do now appear As beams of coral, but more clear.

Trapped in the glass Food for your tray I am the water that filled your thirsty soul You're just a starve being who hungers for more Can’t you see, I am slowly dying My children is declining Pollutant is destroying my beauty day by day I wonder if you care I hope many of you understand That my rage goes out of hand That’s just how I am Nature’s call in changes Of the climate and more often of what you’ve done In time you’ll see how important I am How you’ve lost a part of me That cares for you I am not selfish All my blessings is free for the taking But it is never yours alone You outnumbered my children To the point that you hunted them to extinction You polluted my shores To the point that I lost my blissful purity You poisons each other's soul To the point that I have taken the destructive consequences Some things are hard to learn But that doesn’t mean you’ll repeat the same mistakes over and over again as if it’s a good thing it never was and never will be I am dying, how I wish you care© Pax

The ocean’s dying
I felt my organs fighting a good fight But my body giving in Declining the offering of nutrients Do you remember I told you I was going to die? Do you remember telling me I was the apple of you eye But I wouldn't even eat the fruit they gave me The next morning I woke with you by my side Worrying I didn't make it through the night And dissent dreams of eating at restaurant's Feeling out of sight.

I can feel the loneliness deep inside the half-shaped moon, stripped, scorched, destroyed, shifting, scrambled diction, hazy nonfiction, drifting consonants and vowels lingering in meaningless frames, confined in a sleepless state, searching for its missing outer being to make it complete, quivering in solemnness, struggling for freedom and perfection, conflicting science crumbling without reason, evaporating equations swallowed into unfamiliar places, sunken history tumbling into the depths of the abyss, disconnected from the great milky clouds and glorious sun, its wandering metaphors hovering in some unknown distant kingdom, in the depths of a solitary dungeon, dying of its creative invention, broken sounds sluggishly surfacing for air, fading shadows seeping further out into the inner wave of Saturn, its decaying reflection changing between time and space, rising and falling in forgotten eternities, declining in rhyme and harmonizing patterns, as shattered lovers diminish apart from one another, locked away in frigid and featureless mazes, drowned galaxies floating in sinking outer spaces, vivid blackness surrounding its sunken design, lost languages falling apart into split and hidden dimensions, swimming in stuttering syllables across the crimson seas.

Loneliness Inside The Moon
If you want to make a profit (and the morality is grey) Dehumanize the victim and you'll be well on your way. In a country that's divided, and declining by the hour. Your sins will be forgiven by the Autocrats in power. As, once upon a time, in our then divided land Slavery was acceptable because a black was not a man. Then black people were possessions and very few were free. They knew the lash, they knew the rod, They knew not dignity. Now fetuses are parasites- not considered human beings Abortion is big business the cash cow of their dreams Fifty million have been murdered with no end on the horizon. ****** it appears, is acceptable as long as it's not you dying.) Someday you'll be old and gray- and have an awful cough Please don't be surprised or shocked if they opt to write you off. The weak and the disabled, those feeble minded or not spry can blame our liberality when it comes their turn to die. Eighty years its been since Adolf ****** rose to power Little children sang his praises too- and darkness had it's hour. Note:Nazi eugenics were **** Germany's racially based social policies that placed the improvement of the Aryan race through eugenics at the center of Nazis ideology. Those humans were targeted who were identified as "life unworthy of life" (German: Lebensunwertes Leben), including but not limited to the criminal, degenerate, dissident, feeble-minded, homosexual, idle, insane, and the weak, for elimination from the chain of heredity. More than 400,000 people were sterilized against their will, while 70,000 were killed under Action T4, a "euthanasia" program.[1][2] (They will call it choice until the choice is there's alone) Funny but many will call me a reactionary racist for my position against abortion but there have been millions of black Americans aborted, just as planned parenthood's founder intended.I would not make all abortions illegal as I believe that I shouldn't legislate morality. I think they should be rare, legal and safe.

"O day! he cannot die When thou so fair art shining! O Sun, in such a glorious sky, So tranquilly declining; He cannot leave thee now, While fresh west winds are blowing, And all around his youthful brow Thy cheerful light is glowing! Edward, awake, awake-- The golden evening gleams Warm and bright on Arden's lake-- Arouse thee from thy dreams! Beside thee, on my knee, My dearest friend, I pray That thou, to cross the eternal sea, Wouldst yet one hour delay: I hear its billows roar-- I see them foaming high; But no glimpse of a further shore Has blest my straining eye. Believe not what they urge Of Eden isles beyond; Turn back, from that tempestuous surge, To thy own native land. It is not death, but pain That struggles in thy breast-- Nay, rally, Edward, rouse again; I cannot let thee rest!" One long look, that sore reproved me For the woe I could not bear-- One mute look of suffering moved me To repent my useless prayer: And, with sudden check, the heaving Of distraction passed away; Not a sign of further grieving Stirred my soul that awful day. Paled, at length, the sweet sun setting; Sunk to peace the twilight breeze: Summer dews fell softly, wetting Glen, and glade, and silent trees. Then his eyes began to weary, Weighed beneath a mortal sleep; And their orbs grew strangely dreary, Clouded, even as they would weep. But they wept not, but they changed not, Never moved, and never closed; Troubled still, and still they ranged not-- Wandered not, nor yet reposed! So I knew that he was dying-- Stooped, and raised his languid head; Felt no breath, and heard no sighing, So I knew that he was dead.

HE always gets the higher rank, Not just HIM but any Of the fall soldiers. What do they fulfill, That you are missing, Are you troubled behind closed doors? You have a youth of your very own, Standing right here, Tacitly craving just a loving expression. You wound me when you advise tactfully, that I should vacate, So you and your vernal pibe, Can take in abortive entertainment. Little did I know, Lounging in the same environs, Was a taboo in the posh palace. I would reflect, Reimagine & rationalize. If you neglect to You may find a solitary soul. My heart hopes for the highest, But days past tell me otherwise. Humans argue, fuss and struggle, But those who, Value and treat unconditional loves, Warmheartedly get the real pleasure. If I ride off from this declining, Tormenting cliff, like a lost knight, Know why. & When things get distressing, Maybe then you will understand. Love & Art, Offspring 1991-20??

priority.
Sometimes a light surprises The Christian while he sings; It is the Lord who rises With healing on His wings; When comforts are declining, He grants the soul again A season of clear shining, To cheer it after rain. In holy contemplation We sweetly then pursue The theme of God's salvation, And find it ever new; Set free from present sorrow, We cheerfully can say, E'en let the unknown to-morrow Bring with it what it may! It can bring with it nothing, But He will bear us through; Who gives the lilies clothing, Will clothe His people too; Beneath the spreading heavens No creature but is fed; And He who feeds the ravens Will give His children bread. Though vine nor fig tree neither Their wonted fruit shall bear, Though all the field should wither, Nor flocks nor herds be there: Yet God the same abiding, His praise shall tune my voice; For, while in Him confiding, I cannot but rejoice.

Joy and Peace in Believing
Dragon – a reference to government or a leader with such great powers. Economics can determine the future? The decision making, which can force millions to abide to the law established by government, can determine the future. That’s it. An extension of affluence for all, But where is the long term? Poverty and high unemployment, Now an argument? With two years to educational progress, Juan Dela Cruz drew back and recoil. Humankind’s race, With such declining economies.. A need for taxation of the working classTo stay number one, or should I say, the Top 10? For those capable to success, No full-time salaries.. No livable wage.. A further education.. Would it be worth it when a full-time was offered? For the move of the dragon, Is there a downgrade forecast for the nation? GDP has been calculated, water dragon may not be drown.. Meagre realm’s tyro – for their incomes deduction. (4/2/12 @xirlleelang)

Philippines, Is There A Hope for the Year of the Water Dragon?
I write this from a library under the watchful gaze of Voltaire, Having read that the future of Earth's water is being debated in Morocco. Isn't there a Utilitarian part of us all that strives to save our home, And rejects the notion that we must **** where we eat to make progress? Gambling becomes dangerous when you begin to stake declining resources. There is no turning back, and there is little optimism from Millennials who shall inherit the rotting infrastructure. Nothing is dramatic or blown out of proportion when the President can't acknowledge that there's something seriously wrong with a giant hole in the ozone. Herr Trump, where is the ice going? Would you sell the penguins for profit? Tell the Polish Brigade that legal workers will restore this country's ideal greatness. Tell them sincerely. Reagan spouted that it was Morning in America, and I imagine the Trumpites feel the same. What is morning, anyway, when you can't see the sun for the smog?

Marrakech. (On the Future of the Environment.)
Margy shouts her advice from outside Greggs unsolicited, but often needed usually it concerns fashion - the choice of a scarf - inappropriate shoes for the weather - or the state of a pair of trousers, hanging and baring a cleavage (“No one wants to see that, dear.”) Margy can be relied upon to wear the same distinct socks – draped around her stocking feet, their multi-coloured design now greyed by wear and the Uxbridge Road. Margy is more reliable than her friends and she tells them as much (“You’re all a bunch of time wasters.”) demanding more loyalty and demands from me enough for a cup of tea - a very expensive one apparently. And on a Sunday, she’ll kneel and pray throughout the early Eucharist, declining the bread and wine (”On, no dear. It’s not a habit I want to cultivate.”)

my jewels bestowed onto me are hanging from my dead limbs like a noose, but due to my inferior intellect, these delusional gods will bring me to hell's gates for the world's stigma on my definition of jewels has a red stamp with the words WARNING on it, my dull inane shadow cannot compare to the hundreds suffering in the same recession i am, mouths are speaking to me, but my ears aren't listening, like once the repeated record from you plays, a sound proof room surrounds the vicinity and intrudes the space between you and me, my body is not translucent, i was carved out of marble but vines and weeds entangled my crevices and made me grotesque this dystopia people are telling me about that i live in is a utopia to myself i'm near the condition of declining into a whirlwind of nothing and i'm fine with it, as long as Holden Caulfield catches me when I fall into the rye alone - kra

Up went the roar of the crowd, Ascending, volumes above, beyond The everyday murmur of pestering silence. A futile struggle to withstand its force, Like a vast wave, rogue and raging, Slamming nature, a slap in the face of feebleness, This crowd roars… Not anger, not anguish, or grief, But a prideful scream of declaration; The masses make it known, and known again, Fists raised, pulverizing the air to a beat Of human design, of togetherness, of solidarity In the fight for those like us, a howl, This crowd roars… Stampeding feet berate the beaten earth, Invigorated legs supporting pounding hearts, To a beat, rolling with the flow, Energy infusing the soul, encased in flesh, bone, and blood; Marching onward, forward, processional strides Declaring and making it known with battle cries, This crowd roars… Shouts of proclamation echo the strident resistance With thunder, earth-quaking, walls crumbling, chains shattering With thunder, dancing against the discordant system; Proud warriors raising flags of protest Amidst the roar, roister, and riots, rising reactionaries Refusing submission, declining resignation, This crowd roars… Bounded together, by blood, by common cause, Mingling masses of forgotten arise with a vocal Outcry, intense, pulsing from the core (of us) Like an infestation, infuriated, a torrent swarm (of us) Flowing upwards, eroding all obstructions. Declare, proclaim, announce, request, demand, This crowd roars…
