For Al, who left us With each passing poem, The degree of difficulty of diving ever higher, Bar incrementally niched, inched, raised, Domain, the association of words, ever lesser, Repetition verboten, crime against pride. Al, You ask me when the words come: With each passing year, In the wee hours of Ever diminishing time snatches, The hours between midnight and rising, Shrinkage, once six, now four hours, Meant for body restoration, Transpositional for poetic creation, Only one body notes the new mark, The digital, numerical clock of Trillion hour sleep deficit, most taxing. Al, you ask me from where do the words come: Each of the five senses compete, Pick me, Pick me, they shout, The eyes see the tall grasses Framing the ferry's to and fro life. Waving bye bye to the End of day harbor activities, Putting your babies to sleep. The ears hear the boat horns Deep voiced, demanding pay attention, I am now docking, I am important, The sound lingers, long after They are no longer important. The tongue tastes the cooling Italian prosecco merging victoriously With its ally, the modestly warming rays Of a September setting sun, finally declaring, without stuttering, Peace on Earth. The odoriferous bay breezes, A new for that second only smell, But yet, very old bartender's recipe, Salt, cooking oil, barbecue sauce, gasoline And the winning new ingredient, freshly minted, Stacked in ascending circumference order, onion rings. These four senses all recombinant, On the cheek, on the tongue, Wafting, tickling, blasting, visioning Merging into a single touch That my pointer finger, by force majeure, Declares, here, poem aborning! Contract with this moment, now satisfied! Al, what you did not ask was this: With each passing poem, I am lessened within, expurgated, In a sense part of me, expunged, Part of me, passing too, Every poems birth diminishes me. _________________________________ (this poem more than most, for its birth celebrates my loss, your loss, which cannot be exonerated 8/7/18) _________________________________ written at 4:38 AM September 8th, 2012 Greenport Harbor, Long Island

A man who: Takes pictures of himself Everyday Won’t have the time for you A man who: Leaves love notes on Napkins Underneath your coffee cup Will love you when You have nothing A man who: Declares he’s a great father For all to see Really Truly Isn’t A man who: Tells his children Over the phone Next to their bed Kisses them good night Where no one can see or hear Truly is A decent man A man who: Doesn’t make promises But shows over Time His worth His character Is someone to know A man who: Makes mistakes But tries his damndest To make amends May not see Eye to eye With all But Respects the process Of understanding Each other A man who: Writes poetry anonymously Posts it for the world to See Is an enigma

Its a scam, its a scam, see the Crimson Gang deftly scamming them They by sleight have befuddled gullible masses Moral Compass Made them see wrong as right twisting their brains from the stem With deceitful guile they shepherded them all to the fools' campus Slander and fake News galore fed to vacant hungry masses scrum Knowledge is power the reprobates declares, do not let it pass We're the majority the bullies screams, knowing they're just scums Worthless charlatans who rob successes and **** without cutlass They take a foregone conclusion and coat it with fool's gold crumb A victim with no intention of going after an uninterested lass Dumb masses fed fake news fooled into harassing actions dumb A non-event becomes a show of the controlling might of our class Crimson gangs interpret a non-events from his deluded sad drum Creates a warped sick drama round a hapless victim for laughs Gives street theater actions to masses, these will oppose and numb Whilst poor victim subjected to 'voiding' madness wonders past The Crimson leaders laugh so much like pirates drinking *** Look how we manipulate the masses, they are so simple and crass With our devious twisting propaganda they eat out of our *** We simply use them to nail and crucify our victim to the cross

Together We Stand......
#*“Come, all you who are thirsty,     come to the waters; and you who have no money,     come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk     without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread,     and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,     and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to Me;     listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you,     My faithful love promised to David...” Seek the LORD while He may be found;     call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways     and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on them,     and to our God, for He will freely pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,     neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,     so are My ways higher than your ways     and My thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow     come down from heaven, and do not return to it     without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,     so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth:     It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire     and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy     and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills     will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field     will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,     and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD’s renown,     for an everlasting sign,     that will endure forever.” ~ New International Version*#

Of all the super heroes who exist like legends, or monuments in entertainment, or essential cultural commodities, and my favorite is Moon Knight. Never met a good reception. Never had a particularly well done story. I like Moon Knight in theory; a superhero with mental issues, with friends who face the moral challenge of playing into his insanity, versus helping him stop serious crimes. It seemed like a social commentary to me; why do we hate dictators, but love superheroes? How is it we understand absolute power corrupts absolutely, yet also think having an alien demigod semi-rule the planet is really in the best interest of our species? The design for Moon Knight has always been immaculate to me; directly representing the fallibility of the hero, diving into the night with a decadent radiance, he wears all white, and declares he enjoys it- for his enemies to know he's coming. Does it make sense? No. Much like the Punisher, Moon Knight doesn't struggle with being morally black and white, but does struggle with keeping that identity intact. His eyes glowing, no face shown... just darkness. All the emotion in the world broadcast through two glowing orbs. sometimes red, sometimes green, often white. A visual hint to clouded mind of Moon Knight; Marvel's true Batman gone awry. Gone insane. A failed son who won't die. Here's to it.

Let your money go Doesn't declare the happy Doesn't declare the sad But it declares the greed Declares of wanting more Declares of sacrificing goods Sacrificing every minute Wanting more

Money go
Jesus runs in Everglades, Mohammed climbs the roof The Angels stamp in anger as the Devil stands aloof, A wandering Pope in la-la land while Jewish hands do writhe Those apoplectic Muslims glare while Catholics pay the tithe. Religion, girls, has hit the skids…the game is up on God With rosaries rotating hard, theologians do nod, While Mormons rant moronically with frankincense and myrrh The irreligious bark and howl in Rastafarian fur. Sectarian’s recant Sanctum’s Shrine the rite of soul is lost As neophytes are dancing… the High Priest counts the cost, Theocracy unbalances as Voodoo’s stamp the floor And the Prophets throw their hands up, fast retreating for the door. It’s transcendental disbelief that’s nailed it to the Cross With the Priesthood chasing little boys all credence here is lost. With sanctity’s monastic plunge the pagans roar and shout As Shamans scream their incantations…God declares a route! There is silence in the Temple now, stillness in the pews As dust lies thick on altars, a nervous clergy holds reviews, What, once, was good and vibrant here, is now as dead as dust As the Blood Red Wine evaporates and Holy Bread…to crust. Marshalg Feeding the pigeons by the dusty, open door of the very, empty Chapel. 30 November 2013

High above dear Maple Street There looms a cold iron curtain of fear That dares to drop and let all the monsters Unleash their dreaded promise of chaos As in Europe despots gift a new World War Trembling parlors hug the radio Hallows Eve: the radio Begins to sing throughout dear Maple Street The Seventh Trumpet declares all out war And that heavy iron curtain of fear Eclipses the sun and invites chaos In vacant hearts of men into monsters Halloween Night: the monsters Now dance to the tune of the radio Raiding the stores, jumping bridges, chaos Entombing the stretch of this blood strewn street Parlors gorging on endless waves of fear Riding hysteria, imminent war O great catalyst of war Twisting the minds of men into monsters Diving your hands in that great pit of fear Now throbbing with screams from the radio No fences nor faces can save Maple Street Now plunged in the throes of sweet sultry Chaos And we call it Chaos This boiling of minds all stewing with war Once masked with humanity on this street Now reveals good neighbors make great monsters Skies of martians (n)or men, the radio Hissing, twists the knobs and tunes in to fear And when that curtain of fear Draws, and shadeless light casts on the chaos And the broadcast fades on the radio And mere fiction rescinds the throne of war What will we make of all of these monsters Scattered about in a daze through the street Where there are minds of fear and war, Chaos reigns and calls to the sleeping monsters; Tune in to Welles’s radio on Sterling’s street.

The warrior is powerful, The warrior is strong, The warrior does not give up, The warrior fights on. Though chaos reigns around her, She will not fall to tears, No matter what the circumstance, She'll face up to her fears. The warrior is confident, The warrior is true, The warrior will stand her ground, The warrior lives through. Regardless what the odds may be She always shall prevail, No matter what the consequence, She'll strive and never fail. The warrior is adamant, The warrior is proud, The warrior will show no doubt, The warrior roars loud. Whatever fate declares to be, She will not lose her way, No matter what the happenstance, She'll live to seize the day.

To even commence to define how profoundly I fell in love with you, I would need the capacity of a thousand-page manuscript written in the most romantic idiom. Each, and every retention of us is stowed into the back of my conscious, and concealed deep into my heart. Every beautiful memory plays through my head like soft music. I would say my heart is immovable.  There are days that I try to sojourn the thoughts of you, but its intolerable for me to do so. I am so engulfed in your perfection. I do not think there has been a single day that you have escaped my thoughts. I can feel your presence with me if I ponder our memories deeply enough. Your presence weighs heavily in my heart. It is as if part of your soul occupies its crevasses, and fills my cracks. Your eyes are echoes of a hundred distant galaxies no man has ever revealed. Vast windows that reflect the constellations. My heart is certain the universe resides in them. As I begin to study your face, I feel like nothing but love can exist. Your porcelain perfection never ceases to weaken me. You weaken me with love, trust, and desire. Like the finest specimen created by the hands of Gods. As I anticipate the connotation of love, the implication is “you”. Even if the fire for what you feel for me dies, I do not reason the passion I have for you will ever dim. I do not begin to recollect if I had ever felt this susceptible. I let this passion be valued like the rarest stone. I would give up the entire world if it meant I could have you in my life endlessly. Your happiness is of grave importance to me, when I study your smile, I can overlook the darkness of this decaying reality.    Every heartbeat of time my mouth declares three unpretentious words. “I love you”. I say it like an invocation. Not one moment did my tongue express profanity against these golden words of poetry. I love you. “ I Love You” . And solitarily just you.   I wallow in my own sorrows at the thought of the culmination, when we shall one day part at death's hand. For I deeply distinguish that you love me equally, and this brings vast pleasure to my temperament. I sense security in your encirclement, your heart is my home. My heart qualms of my fragile weakness that I consume when I dream of you. You make me susceptible to the sickness of love. If love was a poem, you would be the title.

Humanity has no support to duty Both contrary in dealing and punctuality: Non-the-less deny each claims still their validity Former needs emotional skip where later regularity! Humanity is a thing roundly soul concern Fancies of many idles, despotic and obligated. Estimate not to beautify active approach return; Deserve aid remarkable quiet pleasing black arts. Duty declares the deed must accomplish statutable, Gratitude, greed and gratification are sub-judice here-of: A crazy caution compel to foil inapplicable Yonker's pride, old hand cultivated doctrinal of. Certain condition humanity plays role of pre-eminence Duty looks wanting help out of heels, Depending on probation passion of sincerity convince, Rejecting deep binder satisfactorily set aside exceeds. If stands duty and humanity both together, Glorifies the spirit immortal as His name And also deal showing clean impersonality further, None appeal to mercy could not dare blame.

Duty And Humanity
In the dark of night, in the middle of a storm A dish falls, shatters A shriek tears the relative silence Pale pink blood blossoms in the water While rich red blood wells up in the hand Tears falling like a blinding waterfall Stabs and throbs of aching stinging searing pain Blood and pain and tears fill the mind A flash of white tissue beneath the torrents of red Panting sobs and hyperventilation Panicking as victim is rushed to the ER Mother tries to comfort daughter with story of healed, Previously lacerated toes Two words blurted between gasps of pain: NOT HELPING Arrive to an empty lobby, excepting a nurse and receptionist Focus on nothing, only the hand The possible tendon torn, the skin shredded, the blood spilt Dishtowel now soaking red irony fluid instead of clear soapy The story repeated 6, 7, 8 times A nurse asks if I smoke or drink A radiologist asks if there is any chance for pregnancy And for a moment I am shocked out of my pain into pondering The corruption of the modern generations, Such that I am asked these questions Any friend of mine would quickly tell that No, I'm not that kind of teenager... but how many are? Then I am whisked from the x-ray room Off for stitches, they say my tendon is cut That I need stitches The fingers no longer gush, but that triviality is soon remedied A doctor probes the wound for shards Nurse flushes it clean with chlorohexadine Both renew the flow Doctor returns, stitches both fingers and chats away Grand tally of five stitches, a splint, blankets of guaze, And a roll of medical tape Prescriptions for pain meds and antibiotics, both given A scoffing glance, but instructions are followed Forbidden from any activity with the right hand by my mother I struggle even to write, simple chores soon a nuisance First time the splint and stitches are gone, Doctor number two declares my hand usable First time the little finger bends, the half healed skin splits So all for a plate, a hand was rendered more useless

Light spreads darkly downwards from the high Clusters of lights over empty chairs That face each other, coloured differently. Through open doors, the dining-room declares A larger loneliness of knives and glass And silence laid like carpet. A porter reads An unsold evening paper. Hours pass, And all the salesmen have gone back to Leeds, Leaving full ashtrays in the Conference Room. In shoeless corridors, the lights burn. How Isolated, like a fort, it is - The headed paper, made for writing home (If home existed) letters of exile: Now Night comes on. Waves fold behind villages.

Friday Night At The Royal Station Hotel
The roses of Love glad the garden of life, Though nurtur’d ’mid weeds dropping pestilent dew, Till Time crops the leaves with unmerciful knife, Or prunes them for ever, in Love’s last adieu! In vain, with endearments, we soothe the sad heart, In vain do we vow for an age to be true; The chance of an hour may command us to part, Or Death disunite us, in Love’s last adieu! Still Hope, breathing peace, through the grief-swollen breast, Will whisper, “Our meeting we yet may renew:” With this dream of deceit, half our sorrow’s represt, Nor taste we the poison, of Love’s last adieu! Oh! mark you yon pair, in the sunshine of youth, Love twin’d round their childhood his flow’rs as they grew; They flourish awhile, in the season of truth, Till chill’d by the winter of Love’s last adieu! Sweet lady! why thus doth a tear steal its way, Down a cheek which outrivals thy ***** in hue? Yet why do I ask?—to distraction a prey, Thy reason has perish’d, with Love’s last adieu! Oh! who is yon Misanthrope, shunning mankind? From cities to caves of the forest he flew: There, raving, he howls his complaint to the wind; The mountains reverberate Love’s last adieu! Now Hate rules a heart which in Love’s easy chains, Once Passion’s tumultuous blandishments knew; Despair now inflames the dark tide of his veins, He ponders, in frenzy, on Love’s last adieu! How he envies the wretch, with a soul wrapt in steel! His pleasures are scarce, yet his troubles are few, Who laughs at the pang that he never can feel, And dreads not the anguish of Love’s last adieu! Youth flies, life decays, even hope is o’ercast; No more, with Love’s former devotion, we sue: He spreads his young wing, he retires with the blast; The shroud of affection is Love’s last adieu! In this life of probation, for rapture divine, Astrea declares that some penance is due; From him, who has worshipp’d at Love’s gentle shrine, The atonement is ample, in Love’s last adieu! Who kneels to the God, on his altar of light Must myrtle and cypress alternately strew: His myrtle, an emblem of purest delight, His cypress, the garland of Love’s last adieu!

Preached by priests and family and friends and teachers: LOVE ONE ANOTHER But that changes when people choose their true love, Mommy and Daddy told me they’ll love me no matter what But why can’t everyone else’s parents think and treat their child the same? Since when does the holding of two peoples hands repulse a religion? Can someone explain to me how a hug is a new boundary crossed once people are made aware of the real reason they hug? It is no longer a hug of friendship but of love It is no longer shared by only a man or a woman Or a man and a woman of the same skin color. Melanin of the skin declares who you should love The prince and the princess in your fairytale books tell you which gender you belong with Why do people condemn those who fully express themselves? Your God declares your love Forget your heart or your mind A book written far beyond our time labels love Love no longer needs a label But to others Love must die and so shall the people who love; The people whose love does not go according to your God and your mind.

Nero kicks Vespasian 1 Nero plays the lyre He’s Emperor so all must admire but Vespasian goes to sleep so Nero exiles Vespasian and poor Vespasian now minds the bees *I am the Emperor and all must admire when I sing or play the lyre for I’m also a god...* Time kicks Nero 2 But Nero goes to extremes Rome burns, Nero kills and soon events turn against him and the Senate declares him Enemy of the State and Nero kills himself; and the beekeeper Vespasian through events played staccato by time becomes Emperor Vespasian and begins construction of the Colosseum *And Emperors too die and I think I’m dying Hey - help me up for an Emperor must die on his feet And hey! you know what? I think I too am becoming a god!*

Nero Kicks Vespasian, Time Kicks Nero
I want to be a princess, that's all I ever ask, When I meet someone I only hope, their promises will last. But things always go the same way, like a flower plucked when ripe, Relationships they dwindle, flop, and lose all hope of life! So, is it really worth it? I find i'm questioning me! A partnership's not destined, it's the single life for me! All I know is I wanna feel, like someones number one, The first thing that they think of, and the last when the day is done. I want to be their Princess, it's the little things that matter, like phone calls right out of the blue, for a cosy, loving natter! I don't think that what I'm asking for, is too much, to be true. Cos, it's the little things that really count, when someone declares they love you.

I'm not in a rush to leave this place. I'm in no hurry, it's not a race. I'd like to take it real slow. So many stunning places to go. I want to travel far and wide. See much more of the English countryside. Beautiful beaches that surround us in Cornwall and Devon, remind us we live in our own corner of Heaven. Mystical places with tales of legends to tell. So much to do and see, I'll do my best to make it sell. Tintagel such a mystic place, where legend has it King Arthur had his chair. He had a roundtable it held many Knights, all ready to defend, always ready for a fight. In York a Viking museum to tell how they came upon our shores, with longboats, a 60 man crew, paddled with their oars. Bath has the best Roman baths to be found, laze and spoil yourself in the steam rooms built in Roman surrounds. In Wales, there's Snowdonia for you to climb, or the less active can take a train ride. A castle in Caernarfon where Princes are appointed by H M The Queen, the sword on the shoulder duly declares arise HRH Prince of Wales, the crowd are waiting for the new Prince to be seen. In Scotland there's Edinburgh with a castle tall and round sits atop a very high mound. The lowlands and the Highlands are a sight of well known beauty, driving around the lochs at night keep your eyes open for a monstrous sight, nessie fact or fiction, Of course there are the lakes of England too, Windermere the largest draws the biggest crowd. Find a cottage out of sight, snuggle up with a loved one, cuddle tight. Put on your water skis, hire a boat, sail your wind surfing board, fire up your jet ski any of these activities can be fun and available to be done, daily. The Cotswolds, for take your breath away beauty, small villages, luscious village greens, cricket playing in the field, Large Houses, Lord of the Manors, old worldly pubs, thatched pubs and rivers waiting to be seen. There are Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor too, Peak District, Lake District mountain ranges, many a zoo. I'm not in a rush to leave this place. I'm in no hurry, it's not a race. I'd like to take it real slow. So many stunning places to go. So much to do, so much to see. On your doorstep, no need to stray. Whatever you do, wherever you go, have a happy holiday.

*November 29th, 2014 Dear Chris:*    I miss you dear, I'd like to say.* Though it's been six months, thoughts of you are here to stay. My words turn to putty and I wish to form them like clay because there's so much to you I wish to convey. I've been traveling and unraveling the belt loops of life, and striding through gliding on ice skates from strife. I don't know if still I can sing the same tune. Our dreams from the Bay have been vexing me; perplexing me since June. The ring you gave me has my fingers swollen like my head, just like a balloon! And I don't know if it makes me sullen to confess when you asked for my hand, even hypothetically, I was to be your wife complete with white dress. Somewhere along the line that dream has changed. Though I feel that this letter was written selfishly. I really must say.. All I know is that I miss you Chris, I have missed you since May. -Adeline December 1st, 2014 Adeline:     I was wanton and flagrant when your letter was received. I was bounding and bursting; hardly contained in my seat. Your familiar fragrance beseeching my heart's conceit, and in your confidence said that you're missing me. Until the usual silence declares again it's already half past three. Time to wash away delusions that are causing my hope to reek. Still.. Certainly there will be another chance to hear from you next week.

F.A.T.A.L.I.A. (Features Adeline Talking About Life's Insightful Accruements)
On my own terms,   I lived my life Giving and taking,   both day and night On my own terms,   I lived my life Some then mistaken,   some often right On my own terms,   I lived my life Last right of refusal,   the one holding tight On my own terms,   I lived my life The lows though not many,   the feelings they wrought bright On my own terms,   I lived my life Words ever radiant,   the music so fair On my own terms,   I lived my life The sweetness of children,   my soul they ensnared On my own terms,   I lived my life The darkest of moments,   their message to share On my own terms,   I lived my life A voice though unchosen,   inside me declares On my own terms,   I lived my life As the days grew short,   and the visitors came On my own terms,   I lived my life Their voices cry out,   now calling my name On my own terms,   I lived my life One verse was enough,   no time to explain On my own terms,   I lived my life My final breath,   a lasting refrain On my own terms,   I lived my life The money fleeting,   any fame now gone On my own terms,   I lived my life A 5-Star boardinghouse,   no curtains drawn On my own terms,   I lived my life With arms open wide,   and the peace to move on On my own terms,   I ended my life All that I’ve written, —turned into song (Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2016)

On My Own Terms
[Crime-scene. Time ceases to exist for YOU, the necrophile. YOU are on top of the corpse.] YOU: Cadaver, corpse, a body's just a body and yes, I'm guilty, sleeping with the dead it loves me, then it doesn't love me.                                                               [Beat] The rosary you must! To rest in peace, so transfigure me baby while warm on my bed. Cadaver, corpse, a body's still a body. Indulge me; martyr to your livid beads please intercede for me, oh, please I beg for it loves me, then it doesn't love me.                                                               [Beat] Now shall I exorcise you; set you free, from the purgatory found between my legs? My body, yours a corpse, but still a body, And when your sinews loosen, skin erased by time who shows no mercy for the dead, will you still love me then, or won't you?                                                               [Beat] To resurrect is daunting, but you shall have the body that my kiss declares undead. Cadaver, corpse, a body's just a body, which loves me, 'til it doesn't love me.                                                               [Exeunt]
