pink ocean at sunset
You were born near the warm ocean, grew up around there, With your clear acrylic smile and sun-kissed blonde hair I, the winter cold More north than I can remember, We met that day you visited, a brisk chill, that December We drank and danced, while the years passed over Argued and grew apart, our greatest fears, now sober My memories of you, once treasured Now, faded as sun deprived lands complain, Forever, jaded

Seasons Change
Grabbing ***** in the New Jersey sand demands quick hands. Creeping deep they dig down under away from the wind in their seldom seen shells, but my brother has a shovel and can ****** them even in the midst of sea foam from small waves climbing the shore. And at cousin Barb’s pond Our hands swipe swiftly, But stealthily enough In brisk Michigan winds to grasp and capture the frogs lingering near the edges. Hardest to catch though are cicadas in our back yard hiding in the trees calling out to play. My brother and I, ages 8 and 10 cast our fingers and clench only their wings enough to fill two milk jugs.

Biology
A brisk pace set makes my heart beat so fast The thrill of the run means I feel no pain With every step onward, strong as the last I'm lost in my head with the drops of the rain Wet as the puddles my feet slip into I glide through the air, floating on pride The prints in the ground show where I've been through The grin on my face shows where in my mind I love the feeling you get on a run When nothing else matters but what you see The sights I notice before I am done The feeling of such raw intensity The passion inside burns the creator But I save its hot embers for extinguishing later

Running Sonnet
Tears in the skin Tears from your sins Tears in the mind Tears from what lies behind. Cut from within Cut in your skin Cut down your wrist Life is so brisk You like the risk. They say "sticks and stones may break my bones" But their the ones who always had homes "Words will never hurt me" What if you just left them be? Deep cuts in the thighs Deep cuts from your lies Cut from what you realise People are evil in my eyes Hold my hands behind my back with ties Sticks and stones will break my bones. Your words will tear my head, my heart; tear my skin. And I reflect what you have said; your sins.

early sunday morning when the air is brisk cold when i refuse to get up, because my bed is warmer than the house early sunday morning when the house is empty because my parents have plans that don't involve me early sunday morning when everything is silent not even the footsteps of the dogs or a peep from the bird early sunday morning when i refuse to get out of bed is when i come to realize everything is suddenly dead.

Did you know that if you don't stretch in the correct way, you might end up thwarting the entire purpose of your workout and suffer unwanted injuries? Doing pre-workout stretches thoroughly will determine whether you are benefiting from your workout or whether it's worsening your muscle tear. Here are the major stretching crimes that you should never commit. Not doing a proper warm-up According to gym instructors worldwide, this is the most commonly committed crimes in any gym. A warm-up is a must before any kind of workout — cardio or weights — and must ideally last at least 12-15 minutes. Assuming that stretching is a warm-up Stretching and warming up is not the same. You need to warm up first, before you are ready to stretch. A slow jog or brisk walking on the treadmill is a good warm-up. Rushing through your stretching exercises Stretching should be for the entire body. You cannot skip any parts. Involve stretches that work your lower back, shoulders, calves, stomach, quads etc. You should not move from one stretch to the other in very quick succession because that may cause untoward injuries. Try to hold each stretch for 20 seconds. When you breathe deeply and hold the stretch, your muscles get trained to tolerate the maximum that your limbs can go to. Giving stretching a skip after a workout You have done an hour of strenuous exercise and now you just want to rush out of the gym; that is a huge mistake. Spend some time bending and stretching after your sweat session. Then, do a cool down before you leave the gym. Not stretching every day You need to be your flexible best always and that can only happen if you stretch daily, even on the days that you aren't gymming. This ensures that your gym days are more fruitful and that you make the most of them. Not breathing properly Breathing right is a very important aspect of stretching. Breathe naturally while you inhale through your nose, expand your rib cage and upper abdomen as you fill in your lungs. When exhaling, breathe out through your mouth, preferably making an audible sound. This relaxes you. While stretching, you need to breathe out when you are exerting, that is, when you are actually contracting your muscles. Doing static stretches Never stand still and do stretches that work only one muscle. You should rather do stretches that work a group of muscles — like a lunge that stretches your upper hamstring muscle, your ankles and also your glutes. Ignoring pain while stretching When you are in the middle of a stretch and you feel pain, stop immediately and consult an expert. Your stretch should make you feel a gentle pull only, not immense pain. If you are hurting, you are doing it wrong. Rest a few days and then go back to working out under a qualified trainer.Read more here:www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses

Summer's warm currents retreat the advancing brisk amber sunsets. Submerging the world under the reign of enduring starry nights. The maples blush as Autumn whispers the gentle lullaby of Winter's sweet breath. Erasing Summer's memory with a crimson brush preparing the golden landscape's long frigid rest. ~~~

**squinting up the leaves of the bountiful tree i espied a mango ripe and soft with goodness as the sun came gently filtering through aloft the wings of a little fellow with a long beak and a brisk song to celebrate dinner found my feathered visitor hovered above the vintage prize and as his thirsty proboscis drilled the succulent mango the warm enticing juice, natural and healthy as ever, drip-settled in the base of my hungry open eye i thought i heard a flourish in the triumphant bird-song such as one at the fall of a big wicket; and in that slow-motion moment, i knew: the mango was his, and it'd now be eat and let eat, till the last delectable mango**

In the rectory garden on his evening walk Paced brisk Father Shawn. A cold day, a sodden one it was In black November. After a sliding rain Dew stood in chill sweat on each stalk, Each thorn; spiring from wet earth, a blue haze Hung caught in dark-webbed branches like a fabulous heron. Hauled sudden from solitude, Hair prickling on his head, Father Shawn perceived a ghost Shaping itself from that mist. 'How now,' Father Shawn crisply addressed the ghost Wavering there, gauze-edged, smelling of woodsmoke, 'What manner of business are you on? From your blue pallor, I'd say you inhabited the frozen waste Of hell, and not the fiery part. Yet to judge by that dazzled look, That noble mien, perhaps you've late quitted heaven?' In voice furred with frost, Ghost said to priest: 'Neither of those countries do I frequent: Earth is my haunt.' 'Come, come,' Father Shawn gave an impatient shrug, 'I don't ask you to spin some ridiculous fable Of gilded harps or gnawing fire: simply tell After your life's end, what just epilogue God ordained to follow up your days. Is it such trouble To satisfy the questions of a curious old fool?' 'In life, love gnawed my skin To this white bone; What love did then, love does now: Gnaws me through.' 'What love,' asked Father Shawn, 'but too great love Of flawed earth-flesh could cause this sorry pass? Some ****** condition you are in: Thinking never to have left the world, you grieve As though alive, shriveling in torment thus To atone as shade for sin that lured blind man.' 'The day of doom Is not yest come. Until that time A crock of dust is my dear hom.' 'Fond phantom,' cried shocked Father Shawn, 'Can there be such stubbornness-- A soul grown feverish, clutching its dead body-tree Like a last storm-crossed leaf? Best get you gone To judgment in a higher court of grace. Repent, depart, before God's trump-crack splits the sky.' From that pale mist Ghost swore to priest: 'There sits no higher court Than man's red heart.'

SONNET TRIBUTE SUNDRY - NINETY-THREE - TOM DALEY: M'AM DEBBIE DALEY - REASONS
Green, wandering eyes Beneath the smooth brown sheet of hair With lashes so light at the tips Looking upward at the sky A sarcastic comment On her pink, round lips Still chapped from the cold Of a brisk winters day It was the face of someone young Free of wrinkles and scars Someone ready to face the world Someone who looked an awful lot like me

sticks and stones
Light the lanterns and watch them float higher. Can I pick out a few stars and hold them? Can I bask in their light and their fire? Tonight I vow these stars will not grow dim. The dark blue sky is an endless canvas. I plan to paint my life in its blank space. The cold, brisk air brings about a clearness My mind empties as I walk my own pace. The music that comes through my headphones gives Me a purpose and the darkness of the Night gives me the strength and want to forgive. City lights cannot vie with a nova. The sun will come tomorrow but I will Be looking for the first star from the sill.

The sound of Moonlight
A blue-eyed phantom far before Is laughing, leaping toward the sun; Like lead I chase it evermore, I pant and run. It breaks the sunlight bound on bound; Goes singing as it leaps along To sheep-bells with a dreamy sound A dreamy song. I laugh, it is so brisk and gay; It is so far before, I weep: I hope I shall lie down some day, Lie down and sleep.

As this world runs in cruelty and in greed, Our eyes see the world perfect-blindly. Those who have power stay unfair and unjust, indeed - The stated laws were implemented tightly. Power over humanity exists in today’s world. We as powerless have no right to scrutinize, but to concur. Their pledges remain twirled - The hurdle stays in abundance with no cure. It is in us where the grievous suffering is in store; And we have none to succor them all. The hunger and incurable malady strike humankind in any form. It led to increased mortality, decreased economy, but who to call? Whoever has power, our safety cannot be guaranteed – They are the ones that makes our life at risk. They stand as an impediment for our nation not to succeed. Their fall is soon our victory – this is not in the pace-brisk. It’s been a year, still no sign of good deed. Half of the world is asleep – Some shock for awakening their soul is what they need. We have lost enough; at least we have ourselves to keep. The string of our patience reached its limitation. Rich people hoard too much and now most of us left deprived. Who’ll lift marginalized Filipinos in our nation? – Who'll give us fair allocation that is incumbent for us to survive? Tedious journey might it seem. Our souls’ little voices are still unheard. What life this could be without our soaring dream? – We shall move our mountains even gratification is deferred. Now, the time is ours to stand as one with clenched hands, It’s time for us to deplore and abhor their thoughts. It’s time to listen in our souls' little voices to be heard at once. And it’s time for us to break the darkness by our flaming oath. - Aubergine Cher Bautista

. Lear wanders in stormy open, bares warring elements, The heavens blister, crackle, night is balmy shroud, Wretched monarch babbles in sprinkles of wind cold, Arguments lost by ones own pouring perturbations And raining sky said 'nothing will come from nothing.' Howl, howls into blackness treed in lightning splits, His outcast soul, reels, fleshed, cut to smithereens, Tang of salt burns on the bluffs and the sea rages, So entire and ceremonious is Lear's fall meted out, Air spoke, 'nothing from nothings ever yet was born.' Sky proclaimed to man child King, here is a reckoning,                            Each mad choice was self infliction, now wind flays And sweet Cordelia lies in her innocent **** grave, Sky, in thralls of thundering asks, 'what say thee now, King of highborn follies, even purple heaths are rags, Yet black and above you and night shades, whine, Unworthy King, done in by compounded effects, The might of maelstroms in low butterflies wings, How now, bare trees, knifing reeds, skeletal flashes, To rains of night are ever your lanyards my lord,' Sad Lear so near oblivion fell mute, sky went on, 'Howl and cry mad King your reaper calls beyond, The icy brisk heavens await to brusque you away, Your slipshod kingdom was mere and fools' dream, Howl, til howls abrupt abate, for nothing now comes.'

King Lear in Conversation with the Sky
Light cresting the horizon, she reveals herself to me. Her brilliant beauty shining, enlightening me is the Sun. Leaving me blind eyes for it's long since I've seen the light. As my sight returns, I see a smile upon her glowing face. Happiness and warmth shines through, but also sadness. Such a cavernous sorrow only matched by mine. She speaks to me of a wish to be with the Moon once more. Like when the land was warm and both did linger in the sky. A brisk winter wind now engulfs the Sun. Yet still she shines beautiful life, given to all that behold her. I have felt her kind light on me, and I have come to cherish the feel. Memories of my unending midnight that left me cold and bleak, evaporated; replaced with joy, for returned have the young embers of feelings. With the presence of the Sun I have been brought back to life. And I wish to covet her, like the day does the light. I whisper a wish, a pining desire to share that heavenly grace with the Sun. But I may only behold her poetic wonder with my eyes I fear. Far to deep is her flame, which I still yearn after. Trudging forth is a feeling of looming disaster, for her thirst is of the Moon's accompaniment alone. Who am I to stand between the Sun and Moon? Gods in the sky. For I do not reside above the clouds; I am but a mere observer far below. Enchanted by the mellow glide through the heavens that they shared. The Moon should feel her kind sunshine upon his face again. He knows little of the night that I have hid in for ages repeated, for he is not charged to linger in darkness for all eternity, like I. A reluctance I feel to accept the truth, but I may not escape it. Though, should my heart be tamed? Which is so full of longing. Ages have passed since my bones have felt this empowering warmth. I find my mind imagining, dreaming, wandering; into a place it's far too long since felt any comfort in. Only to be brought back to the present by the warmth of her smile, a glance from her beautiful piercing eyes, to hark of her divine laughter. Remembering that happiness is felt in the presence of a flower, yet to pluck it for ones self, would begin an end to its beauty. Whatever may be the desire of the Sun, I share for her too. For she has shown me life like I've forgotten was possible. A gift of the like that I could never return with all of my days. A lost soul in lingering affection of a star, to be looked upon as a fool. Though a fool for attempting, rather a fool for abstaining. So return to the dark I will, awaiting in hope for my day to come. The day that the Sun should like to illuminate me again, and fill my soul with warmth. Yet I am terrified that day will never arrive for me, for I've known not but this tragic desolation that has consumed my heart. Until I met the Sun.
