"asterism" poems
*The constellation of the night sky
Dotted with Asterism
Calling our attention to the mystical lights
Plotting an image on our minds
The celestial space is where minds wander*

Hello weary star farer,
You have come a long way,
bumping through every asterism,
wondering if you would one day be
part of an art in the starry night sky.
I am but an old star with a dying heart,
plummeting to knave abyss.
As hope crashes down with me,
I come across you, oh weary star farer.
You took me to dance on the moons of Jupiter.
We sang our lungs out through the milky way.
Suddenly, all the other stars faded,
and giving up was overrated.
Your tired soul ignited mine,
giving birth to love so divine.
Rest now, oh weary star farer.
We are now home in each other's radiance.

Pleasantries aside, did you feel that tremble?
Not earthquake, it was heaven's shake
when you took me
by hand
led away
deep in wood
STOP...
and stood
Pierced constellation's reflection
Eyes sent soul's orbit
Forbidding further speak of
Harking horror
for it is tomorrow
and I still don't know your name
Or...
why your grizzly ways
Turned me into bait
Ursa Major I hear Ursa Minor
He pines for your return
...because you weakened him

Pilcrow, the Blind P,
once said,
"Allow me, ma'am/sir,
for it looks like
you could use a break.
Besides, Hedera is hard
and annoying, so full of herself,
and up to her neck in ivy."
That was a Snark.
But who could tell?
Simply forgot to point it out.
Guess it's better to
leave things unsaid.
In the end
there's only enough
room for the Asterism.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.

it’s like,
I ride songs into sweet
remembers
of my daddy
of my friends
of my sister, and my twin
I float in a star-strewn nebula,
a compostella, each star
a different scene and cast,
each a member of my asterism of
memories
each and all beloved
clear as the ringing of a bell
flooding my eyes with tears
of sorrow and joy and laughter
I ride music like
a flying carpet lifts on the magical,
gently carrying my heart
into the beauty and sorrow and laughter
of Love lost and
Love found

you were a constellation
a beautiful complexity
a pattern only I could see
but then it changed
the arrangement became an endless kaleidoscope
you were a mash of stars I could not make sense of
you entangled me in your lines until I could not see the way out
now all you are is the yellow city lights
forever blinding my view of the beauty beyond

have i mentioned lately,
that my myocardial musculature,
pulses pure luminousity,
cause you are the incandescant
asterism in my biosphere.
no, well you are baby,
you are my hearts pure light,
it beats for you,
you are my stars and moon
my whole world.
i love you.

Lay on the grass
Stare at the sky
The night is a blanket
Full of mystery
Like love
Like you
Lay, my love
Gaze at me
I twinkle
Upon you
I am the last
Shining stellar
In this asterism

am I become an asterisk in your life,
a small reminder of what once was soul-deep,
was the trumpet-radiance of character?
I wander, unshod, in the wilderness created of myself,
to revisit a dystopian dream, where my soul-scars
bleach white from time’s long goodbye
and my caged heart sings a canary’s song to no one
am I become Bukowski’s consummation of grief
dancing on thorns to a choreography of remorse
to a dissonancy of love?
when did I become a mere star-point in your
wintercircle, lost in the wilderness of your sky,
an asterisk abandoned in your asterism?

Whence did thou enter my heart
my soul
devour me with thy passion
it doth whelm me
in somewhat of
a musical fashion
a classicals softness
sings in my ears
fused with rock and roll
tis what I hear
how is it that thou dost play
such song
foriegn to my time
hast thou been forward
to another asterism
to another life
whence did thou enter my heart
milleniums ago
or those yet to see
perhaps there twasnt a time
but always were

how could i ever feel so grand,
so boisterous about my being
when the world is so big
and full of people, places, love,
and life i've yet to see?
i am nothing, i am not superior to anyone or anything,
yet i am a part of the machinery,
a piece of the grand scheme—
i am a rain drop among storms,
i am one leaf among many that fall in autumn,
i am a cloud floating by,
i am a an asterism among a greater constellation
i am an element of something greater than myself—
and yes, i am small, but i am important.
i still matter, and so do you.

i will be an asterism
in the constellation of your being
as long as if it means
you'll finally allow yourself
to glow
the way i see you

Skolar shot three stars
into the celestial nothingness
in which he was harnessed.
Every night he charioted higher
hoping to touch the heavens.
Once reaching the maximum ascent
Skolar would whip and beat those
bright luminous wisps
pushing them a bit further.
Every night two stars would perish
and their remains would float
gently down forming the lands
and gardens of life.
One star would remain in the sky
sitting at its highest peaked achieved
in its skyward journey
every night a new star would shine.
One night one shined bright
beside me
we fell in love
and created an asterism.
We birthed more and more
little stars
a constellation telling our history
the people below
worshiped and gave us meaning.
Until I became volatile
spinning out of control
exploded leaving a black hole
taking that now old world
and you into the celestial abyss.
Skolar has moved on
creating new worlds
while history repeats
for infinity.

Passages through time
history has no rhyme
reason
measure
Forced plunging along cause-ways of the mind
frightened white of what unwinds
human nature is quite the bind
who is certified to find
sanity
depravity
?
Earths nature
She will be unwound
pounds of bounding Buffalo once roamed but were found
the future will be experienced under a Dome
tiny asterisk
You and your sisters fill the multitude
the brightest stars are of the first magnitude

I spiral happ’ly in,
I feel my flesh
dissolve to wet, to
gaseous mess
and flow flow flow
into the asterism
that is her extra latte French roast
Eye...
She asks, “What do you see?”
I see Himalayan diamond dust,
the wind as particle, sharing the
Sun in glints.
I see spiral arms and accretion discs.
I see stardust, moondust, lovedust
in great grand colorful interwebbings of
lust, of truth, of song, of delight, of Us.
I see RGB Grand Walls of stars;
organized in mind but cosmologically
principled.
I see the possibilities of galaxies -
Unformed
Adrift
Reaching
Cooling
Collecting
Heating
Sparking.
Life giving life.
Lifegiving, Life.
I see an unspoken Universe
of Dust -
Awake to Dance,
to dance to Life.
I see Love.
I see Beauty.
I see worlds not yet.
I see suns unshone.
I see comets unknown.
I see tidepools.
I see fields of fuzzies.
I see Seas.
I see mountains and valleys.
I see Forest.
I see Love.
I see her, and in her,
I see a world, a cosmos, a way;
a way I’d rather be.
A way I’d rather live.
I see Love.
I see her.
Through tears,
I see
the limitless warmth of an unlimited
Un iv er se
in her tawny toffee coffee
Eye.

I was lost within the wonders of the world
But I looked above and the greatest story was told
Your light that guided my lost soul
into the depths of the galaxy
where no one has ever gotten a hold of
I wonder when we'll meet by the black hole
where time stops
and everything comes to a halt
just to bear witness the infinite

A true testament of gods power
This this look up and find it
What do you see the Big Dipper
Good!!!
That simple
Asterism is the only proof
That something
Bigger then us is around
Something that want peace for all
Man kind
The Big Dipper
You should look at it
One time

The Big Dipper
An asterism of the constellation
Ursa major
Seven bright stars that
Have been there
For the best and worst
Of my life that I can remember
Over the age 3
That is why I want to take a picture
Of the group of stars
As it has guided me through
Everything
Not just telling me where north is
To me the Big Dipper
Is proof of god and his/her will!
Tell me it’s just stars
And I will say that it is more than that it’s art
