"aptitude" poems
Can you feel all the suffering, can you see it? Stop embracing the hate of your own humanity, just quit it Why all the hypocrisy? Challenge your democracy Aim for enlightenment Fight against all ill torment Oppression, alienation, inequality The government's manipulative utilities Explore your human aptitude Your mind and your magnitude Because passion is power and You can make all evil cower Work to open your third eye Don't cry or comply, but rather ask "why?" Empathy and compassion are most important Without them, moral principles remain impotent Our world is nothing compared to the entire universe We are so small, egoistic, and it's getting worse Focused on all of the wrongs ideals Creating terrible and false ordeals Our world is cruel and mean Too many people die hungry There's no such thing as equality or true justice It does not exist in this realm of consciousness If only we could shift the system and our ways Then things would continue to fall into place But change is virtually unachievable Especially when entities with just intents are inconceivable Human beings are clueless, trapped in a trance Don't let yourself fall victim to your ignorance You need to expand your knowledge and your perspective Aim to be more pensive and introspective Challenge absolutely everything you are told Form your own beliefs, don't let your mind be controlled Remove yourself from conformity and complacency And you'll realize a multitude of problems, that I guarantee *You can't trust anything
 Hear what I'm saying
 No you cant trust anything
Believing is damaging
Creating is everything, it's promising Stop adhering to societal norms
 Why do you conform
 To all that
 The government tells us
All that society spells for us Why don't you realize
Wake up from all the lies
The world is an intricate place, that you can't replace
But you can change your ways and your pace
Create some displacement in the system Stand up your rights
 And what you believe in
 Be genuine
Imagine
Not one person, thing, or system
Can tell us, control us, conform us* With enough minds open and motivated We can help those oppressed and alienated We can change this race for the better Let's all work to be that kind of trendsetter Come on, let's start a movement So we can see some real improvement In our world, our ways, and our wisdom But most importantly in the system

Genuine intellect is often falsely understood. Brainpower cannot be measured by grades or exam performance, Nor from one's tone of voice or accent, Or the complexity of their vocabulary. It is not always proportional to the size of an income, The exclusivity of a school, The grasp of understanding of trigonometry or algebra, Or one's apparent IQ. *Difficulties and struggles do not make you unintelligent, They make you human.* Perception; Clarity of insight, Being a good judge of character and showing an understanding beyond thought indicate subtle brilliance. Having an aptitude with words, Knowing how to comfort, to console, Delicacy and precision And showing empathy to emotions Signify the intricate beauty of the mind. *Intelligence is sensitive, and has a certain elegance. It is knowing, but not saying.*

Exams are unjust.
You're a volcano in winter Made when the Earth splintered Tectonic plates shifted And you were gifted The frigid air outside is subzero So you become my volcanic hero When you scorch the cold With your warmth so bold I await an eruption But there's a disruption Dormant you remain With suspicion engrained But entering your main vent Was not my main intent Yet now that I'm in your magma chamber I can see your anger You're made of lava and ash So you demand drama and cash And violently explode in a flash You've become my Krakatoa When I wish I didn't know ya Because of your grand magnitude I question my aptitude And insecurity ensues As confidence I lose I realize I've gone too far When I feel your lava discharge That pushes me into your crater The pain I feel couldn't be greater When all I see is an ashen cloud And all I hear is your lashing growl Inside of your volcano There is a tornado As sure as day glow I feel I must lay low And dodge the debris While playing referee As you're dissecting me In your burning sea That swirls in a cyclone maelstrom Hell is where it was mailed from I receive it Reprieveless I begin to drown in fire And wish to retire You think you're neat Yet despite your heat You're a cold blooded lizard But outside there's a blizzard So I get used to your volcano I can't contain my disdain though

1099 My Cocoon tightens—Colors tease— I’m feeling for the Air— A dim capacity for Wings Demeans the Dress I wear— A power of Butterfly must be— The Aptitude to fly Meadows of Majesty implies And easy Sweeps of Sky— So I must baffle at the Hint And cipher at the Sign And make much blunder, if at least I take the clue divine—

You I waited for a long time. Speak, My hope will End. An SMS changes clime, Weak. When you will Send? Nothing I asked for. Offer Some bliss To me. I desired Not a life nor Glamor. You, just miss Me. Once, You, become Plaintive And express Heart. Tell Felt some Sensitive And confess Part.   Let My heart leap, Knowing Your aptitude, Stance.  Let The heart keep Singing, And in solitude Dance. S. An SMS
1046 I’ve dropped my Brain—My Soul is numb— The Veins that used to run Stop palsied—’tis Paralysis Done perfecter on stone Vitality is Carved and cool. My nerve in Marble lies— A Breathing Woman Yesterday—Endowed with Paradise. Not dumb—I had a sort that moved— A Sense that smote and stirred— Instincts for Dance—a caper part— An Aptitude for Bird— Who wrought Carrara in me And chiselled all my tune Were it a Witchcraft—were it Death— I’ve still a chance to strain To Being, somewhere—Motion—Breath— Though Centuries beyond, And every limit a Decade— I’ll shiver, satisfied.

I’ve dropped my Brain—My Soul is numb—
so i see now you're with someone else, & finally now i'm free: you left no excess residue as you exit me. i expected to express regrets as your final vapors left my vents but now your vacancy sustains me: i have aptitude in lacking you & your absence accents my best attributes because i'm no longer attached to you. & each step weighs a little less sans you stealing half my breath, & when i'm bathing in her flesh she'll find comfort in my cleanliness, & she can finally drown inside my depth as i love her like there's nothing left.

Be grateful for all you have be it a friend, family,.gadgets, food, water, power, oxygen, beliefs, shelter, aptitude, talent, kindness, body parts, character etc..above all your life, the fact that you're breathing, give thanks for that because so many lack but still remain thankful,so many live but still too many have died. Be thankful,it pays.

don’t worry about decisions anymore. I can think for you. Here, buy this brand of tampons. Watch me now. It’s more absorbent. Here, stick them in your ears. You’ll have s o f t e r t h o u g h t s. Pillowy white fluuuufffyyythoughts. You don’t need your brain anyway. no more thinking, I can think for you. here, watch me now. Look at these happy plastic assless women wearing delicate bras, so beautiful. Why don’t you buy one? they’re uncomfortable well you’re ugly, unwanted, but you wear what you want. Wear this bra. Maybe it will keep your heart from aching. You don’t need your heart; I can feel. I can feel for you. So watch me. Hey, look here. Buy these shoes. They make your legs look like celery stalks, but your husband will “do it” with you again. That’s what you want, right? right. Put them on. Please your man, make the food, wear the shoes. Don’t think. Please your man, feed the kids, do the work. Wear the shoes. Don’t you dare think. I can Think For You. Aptitude is overrated. Your biggest asset is your body, bereft of a brain. Don’t think. I can think for you. Wear this. Buy that. Spend your husband’s money, make him happy. Please your man, make the food, wear the shoes. Now, for your anxiety, take these pills. Three little blue pills, one big orange pill, one little white pill. This one makes you skinny. This one makes your teeth white. This one makes you dumb, this one makes you numb. Don’t think. Don’t worry about where your husband is. He’ll probably come home tonight. There is no divorce on TV, so it must not exist. Don’t think. Oh, you poor little ****** woman. Tiny, powerless drone robot. Don’t think. Robots don’t have brains. Dolls don’t have brains. **** *** ******* legs, don’t have brains. Close your mouth. Don’t speak. I can speak for you. That bra is uncomfortable? Shut up. You are seen as weird People often call you "Loony" But they couldn't be more wrong Yes, you are indeed different But then, every individual is unique And I like you as you are With all your pros and cons Yes, you may believe in things Which do not really exist But then, who doesn't? What truly matters Is the fact that you are a beautiful human being With a heart of gold Who doesn't judge anyone Sees people as they are Doesn't shy away from speaking uncomfortable truths Is modest to a fault And last but not the least Values friendship above everything else You know, I can relate to you I am also different And got bullied for that Just as you did However, your mental strength is remarkable After losing your mother at a very young age That too due to a freak accident You have shown the courage and fortitude Not to mention, resilience and tenacity To carry on with your life Do your best to excel at magic Display the natural curiosity and aptitude for learning Which is expected of every Ravenclaw Develop and sustain friendships And finally, put your life on the line In order to try and make the world a better place for all You are not only a true Ravenclaw But also possess the courage, nerve and daring of a Gryffindor And the loyalty and sense of justice of a Hufflepuff You only lack the cunning and ambition of a Slytherin Not to mention, you were kidnapped and held hostage by Death Eaters That too for a few months And somehow emerged almost unscathed After such a traumatic experience You really are an incredible witch Please remain the way you are No matter what people say And I will be a fan of yours Until, as Neville would say, "Hell freezes over"

Lines of life through gene transmission When handed down through ***** Tho’ rugged, sound or sickly matched, Are caste about like coins. Luck ensures a robust chance Of longevity and health With intelligence or dolt hood As a final gauge to wealth. Traits of blue eyed, fair haired lovelies Brown eyed, freckled, long of limb, Temperaments across the spectrum Placid fat to fiery slim. Aptitude to run the long race Good endurance, depth of heart, Lady luck decrees their worth Tho' the Priesthood may depart. Frontal lobes of clear retention Heightened rationale of thought, Reasons through the problematic, Resolutions made as ought. Capacity to empathise In tears of joy and sorrow spent, Capacity for true belief When wrong is righted with repent. Goodness and black evil Are caste about like chaff, Depends upon the show of cards Who laughs the final laugh. Conscience can be virtuous But then, so can be greed, Depends upon the circumstance And if approached at speed. And finally indulgence Plays a massive hand in this, For love and lust determine If a union is remiss. And should that union founder, Should Lady Luck throw in her hand ...You can blame it on the chromosomes Which confounds the Makers stand! Marshalg @theBach Mangere Bridge 14 June 2011

March of the Chromosomes.
The legere sacristy of pure love blazing Feline confluence across ethereal plains Arched angelic collusion of things sepulchral The arcane occidere travisty of Transmogrification canonized Darkling eminence ordained; The verity aura of radiance Twilights tidal blood- dye magenta, Germane sleek meagre wealth chiming lo!. Finitudes golden prayer draping flounded Brutality tithing the zenith with mealy Doer aptitude majestically turbulent Sacrificing thoriums weld feudal Of heavens deceitful soothsayers, Fellow djinn of Gotterdammerung Soli of vilest stoic jingoism. The Web of Wyrd (Requiescant in Pace).
You never fail to mystify me Love out of reach A devastating fallacy I wish you the very best But only feel sorry partially There’s a smile on your face again No use for thinking so logically A hidden curriculum so easy to mask I’d love to know you but hate to ask You are all I dream about -And there you were- A love aptitude that’s entirely illiterate Your pearly smile stays stretched continuously illuminate Save the feelings for the archive So foreign and entirely glamorized They fail to represent what reality is waiting impatiently Your looks are intense They compliment your insanity But in the mean time I’m failing miserably I can’t even look you in the eye I’m too shy

Goal
By definition, talent is to have natural aptitude or skill, So naturally for a poet like myself, Talent is what happens when artistry Becomes the integration of poetic elements— Transferred from savage seas of thought To the nakedness of a sheet of paper— A voice of confidence composing songs of beauty in motion, Live wired passion sparking spirit lifting inspiration. Talent is within the heart of whom possesses it— If the vessel is tainted with chaos Then the outcome of devastation is imminent If the vessel is painted with endearment Then the outcome of equanimity is prominent By definition, talent is to have natural aptitude or skill, So naturally for a poet like myself, Talent is a gift ,one not obtained freely— nor does it find its way to everyone, but it is the duty of the talented to be inspiration for the talent-less— To be a human of poetry, A messenger of the earth, Parallel to fellow man, no matter the race, creed or gender. Talent is within the heart of whom possesses it— If the vessel is tainted with chaos Then the outcome of devastation is imminent If the vessel is painted with endearment Then the outcome of equanimity is prominent. What is Talent?
Adjectives continue their downward spiral, with adverbs likely to follow. Wisdom, grace, and beauty can be had three for a dollar, as they head for a recession. *Diaphanous, filigree, pearlescent*, and love are now available at wholesale prices. Verbs are still blue-chip investments, but not many are willing to sell. The image market is still strong, but only for those rated AA or higher. Beware of cheap imitations sold by the side of the road. Only the most conservative consider rhyme a good option, but its success in certain circles warrants a brief mention. The ongoing search for fresh metaphor has caused concern among environmental activists, who warn that both the moon and the sea have measurably diminished since the dawn of the Romantic era. Latter-day prosodists are having to settle for menial positions in poultry plants, where an aptitude for repetitive rhythms is considered a valuable trait. The outlook for the future remains uncertain, and troubled times may lie ahead. Supply will continue to outpace demand, and the best of the lot will remain unread.

Market Forecast (by Alexa Selph)
Haan... Mujhe ab bhi woh din yaad hai... Hui zindagi jab se aabaad hai... Suni teri dharkan thi jab ki woh pal... Lagta hai jaise bas guzra tha kal... Aaj... tu meri beti, khud Mumma bani hai.... (Yes... I still remember that day... Since my life has been domiciled That moment when I heard your heartbeat for the first time... Feels like that moment has passed just yesterday.... Today.... You my daughter, have become a mother...) Haan... khushi se jo aankhein thi nam yaad hai... Hui tujh se poori jo fariyaad hai... Thi mujh ko hamesha se chahat teri... Ki tune mukammil hai duniya meri.... Aur Aaj... Tu meri beti, khud mumma bani hai.... (Yes.... I remember how my eyes flooded out water in joy... In you I found all my prayers answered I had always desired you... You have completed my world... And today... You my daughter, have become a mother...) Haan... Tere is hunar par tha mujh ko yaqeen... Kabhi to banegi tu maa behtareen... Teri qubiyon par, amal par tere... Kiye tune sabit gumaan ko mere.... Kyunke Aaj... tu meri beti, khud Mumma bani hai.... (Yes... I always believed in this talent of yours Some day you will be an amazing mother The confidence I had in your skills and natural aptitude You have proved me correct in my feelings Because today.... You my daughter, have become a mother...) Haan.. Teri aankhon mein aaj jo pyaar hai... Umr bhar ke rishte ka iqraar hai... Atoot hai jo rohani yeh taar hai... Wohi to har ek maa ki talwaar hai... Jaise Aaj... Tu meri beti, khud mumma bani hai... (Yes... The love that exists in your eyes today The commitment of a lifelong relationship It’s a divine thread non-breakable And that (the love) is every mother’s sword... Like today... You my daughter, have become a mother...) Haan... Dua “Ain” hai maa ki tere liye.... Har ek pal ** khushiyon ka tu jo jiye.... Banegi tu jab naani ek din kabhi... Meri dil ko mehsoos karegi tabhi... Khair aaj... Tu meri beti, khud mumma bani hai.... (Yes... Your mothers prayers for you from her core... Every moment that you like may be filled with happiness... And one day when you will become a grandma Then you will know how my heart feels right now... However today... You my daughter, have become a mother...)

And there it was- I'll tell you all the truth you ask of me- Let all of my hesitation- reservations- love- Pass by unnoticed- unheeded- misheard- Be it strange- or be it my aptitude towards the unholy, Whether the soft touch of the willow-fed irises- Or the half-life glare of nighthawks, posed aloof and aloft- In full conscious awareness of their physicalities- With willful composure- and heads turned just so.

Dear Emily,
Bemoaning Similes & Metaphors (the lack thereof ) I cannot think in similes or metaphors. I can, but it’s An artifice. A gift I’ve not been left with. Of course, I’ve got Thesaurus – My old pal - To push me In the simile Direction. Those Whose Aptitude’s To see, Their inner eye Comparing parallels unconsciously – A gift of gene and DNA – Overwhelm me. While I moan about my lack, They sit with throne and luck Expressing with an ease, Anything they ****** well please In metaphors and similes I lie in bed, This running through my head. That’s why it’s here. Bemoaning Smiles & Metaphors 1.13.2010/8.17.2017 A Sense Of The Ridiculous II; The Processes: Creative, Thinking, Meditative II; Arlene Corwin

There exists Energy He puts up the plug With the invisible outlet Of the naked Sky His charged particles Brought collision Brought wonder To the full-sized Universe. The solar wind The Earth Both were crowd-pullers Every one knelt down As they see The Roman Goddess of Dawn Her melodramatic entrance Her chameleon-like aptitude The neon lights Without Christmas ***** Made her zone broaden. He serves mother earth In northern hemisphere I serve motherland In southern hemisphere He is on the tropic of Cancer I am on the tropic Capricorn Our longitude and latitude are different Our aptitude and attitude are similar To serve and deserve to serve He is in light When I am in dark He is in dark When I am in light Both are exposed to each other Through light and dark by cosmic pulse Through thick and thin He tracks my light When I am asleep I track his light When he is asleep Intuition is our live-wire He is non-resident to me I am non-resident to him Both are residents of love I am his prestigious father He is my privileged son

The motions-- We're going through emotions (right?) 'Cuz there's not a better thing to do on Sunday night. This place has lost religion ritualistically And I think, realistically, it's time to do the same Overbooked, yet, overlooked And on the hook for debts outstanding But you commanded my attention So stay unstained I've been attaining second chances for unforeseen circumstances So I'll drum if you keep dancing Just stay unstained Intentions-- Can undergo declension Yours and Mine are genitive on dative Friday nights. Some folks can lose their vision visionarily So I'd say, cautionarily, "forget to do the same." Aptitude for rectitude: That may be shrewd, and yet-- while prudent Rings no bells 'til midnight chimes out one more mortal year Afeared, I fear, ad mortum. But we just keep pounding on pulsing heads So let's drum on; keep on dancing-- Remain unstained.
