"abecedarian" poems
**** me like the ocean would the moon, Dear Amaranthine. Teach me as you would any abecedarian, slow with pace. My pallid arms are spread, and feet are crossed. Crucify me, like one of your French girls. Your endless frame arched over mine a vaulting testament to the heat of your front against my back. This scene should have been a chapel. Through hazed musk I can taste the saline as it tumbles from your dripping brunette tendrils forming brooks and lagoons the color of flesh in the glens and about the islands of my spine. I wish I could write about you in me while you dance a contemporary beat ceaseless, indeterminate, untold are your feats within and upon my person. For a split moment, seconds shattered in two, I am completely and totally permeated by you. I whine for you to vacillate me, I am ******* begging to be occupied, satiated, by a rhythm akin to the sway of trees. Love me fast and kiss me slow, Dear Amaranthine. My palms are red, and feet bloodied, too. I moan. Call me your poetaster but don't come on my chest; There's far too much weight there already, my dear.

Dear Amaranthine,
I swam in your ocean, Anna. I drank the salt of your skin until it gave me hallowed sickness. I told you, I was never good at staying anyone's friend. I spent three weeks convincing you I'd try. When I didn't succeed, why did you act surprised? You keep shifting shape. And that isn't fair. I got tangled in your weeds, Anna. I struggled and howled, you talked with warmth, ran fingers in my hair. I told you, I wouldn't live past thirty-five, you said, I wouldn't make it to twenty-five, I told you, I was evil, you told me, you were eviler. I told you, I was evilest, you said, **** superlatives. I saw you drown yourself in yourself, Anna. Wallowing in the cold wind of one demented abecedarian. You keep shifting shape. And that isn't fair. I told you, to keep your feet moving, you said, I needed to stop talking, I told you, I was ready to marry you, you said, I would never escape my ex-girl collection, I told you, Anna, if I can't have you you're going to destroy you, you said, you'd like to see you try. Let your waves crash against me, let your wind carve, I will say I love you, until one of us dies.

evil!
All started with the boy seeing Buildings, no trees, noise, no meaning. “Cuz’ this is the way to be.” Dad said to he. Explaining why, but all he knew wasn’t clear. “For what?” The boy wonders, in bed he lays. “Good night,” every night his parents say. Hoping one day It will come Just this once. Kings and Queens have set the scene. Losing hope, all he did was dream. Making up for waking up. Now, at once, or it’s too late. Open up, it’s been so long Play for us, a song. Quit your worries, stress and fears. Reel in the feeling that’s so near. Shine on you diamond! The sky is your limit! Underneath your skin Violently lit. When you wake. X be your name Yelled the sandman. Zero is left, it all ends.

An Escape (An ABECEDARIAN poem)
All our country's taxpayers are becoming enraged Bailing out companies which have been mismanaged Countless millions have been forked out Dollar amounts which are exceptionally stout Ever the taxpayer is called upon to cough up Filling the always depleted company's cup Giving generously has got to cease pretty soon Helping them is a cost that's gone well beyond the moon Injecting our hard earned is too much Just let them stand on their own crutch Kick those CEO's into a reality check fashion Let them not receive anymore of our kind ration Money has been misspent by our former government Never ending the out flow it's time for some abatement Offer not another cent to those ailing companies Propping them stresses the taxpayer's arteries Questions must be asked about those per unit costs Regularly increasing and so high are their imposts Shores abroad can produce goods for lesser amounts They run a more efficient book of accounts Under a burgeoning payout us taxpayers are gripped Vast savings we'd make if they were nipped We've been supporting the big end of town for years X marks the spot where we've been left in arrears Yonder the companies can take their travails Zilch is what they'll be receiving from our taxpayer bails

Taxpayer Bails (Abecedarian Poem)
Altered by the winds laced with a threnody tune, life in the northern woods will never be the same without its bloom. The deceased puppet master continues to pull the strings of the dehiscence heart, one of this game is forced to take part. The ears of an indecisive mind take in the plaintive sound, which provides an ongoing reminder of how these feet are forever bound to this ground. With the chances of escaping this monochromatic box slims, one might begin to take a swim. The ideal way of living becomes a compromise, the old personality leaves only the eyes. Shed away in a abscission fashion, and along with that goes all the passion. Sitting down to confabulate with a higher knowledge, carry on the dreams of going to college. Storybook barriers leave no saltant mood. Being passed by society is quite rude. A misnomer indeed, being labeled wrong because of greed. Hunger of such has taken a life, of one upon a lake that was never a wife. Letters that hold such wicked silence, that can never be undone even with science. This blue body surrounded by an invisible malediction, or maybe that is all just fiction. He has nothing left from his unmanly lies, upon keeping secrets he thinks he is wise. Knowing it all is never enough, but with an abecedarian brain on might just call it a bluff. Eventually farewells must be given without hate, and one might hope to return as if all was in a somniferous state.

Forgotten Words
All those stares everywhere I go, Beating and burning the back of my head. Can you even imagine being me - “Different”, a minority? Everything is changing as I am Finding out what I am made of - Giving me unending pride and Hope for the future world - Inspired by equality for all. Just look inside my soul and Know that I am not so bad. Look at me and understand that My name has changed and it is Not the same as when I was born. Operations will transform me into the Person I am in my heart and in my mind. Questions from you are welcomed, Rudeness, however, can be left at the door. Send your bitterness and hate away to learn That not all people are the same. Understand that I will always love myself and Violence will never ever be the answer When all I want is to be accepted. X marks the spot on our hearts when You have decided to wholly learn to Zero out the hate in which our society takes a toll. Zero out the cold-heartedness and You will feel better about yourself. X’s and O’s go to the people Who love me for simply being me. Victory unending goes to those who Understand and love each other Through the most difficult times - Sorrow, hate, crimes, and pain. Realize that we do not need help, Quit telling us that we are mentally sick, Pretty pretty please, with a cherry on top. Oh, I hope and dream that the day is Nearing when we are equal in each eye, Minorities will cease to exist anymore with Love that is pure and acceptance for all. Knowing that each of us is not the same Just simply goes to show that I will never let you bring me down. ***** is not my name, never ever will it be. Gender identity is not a choice - Forgiveness, though, is a choice. Educate yourself to gain knowledge. Do not call me “dude” or ”man”, Call me Unique, not my birth name. By all means, you don’t have to love me - All I ask is that you accept me for being me.

Eggs are good with toast and butter, but the beep of your microwave might take you out of your serious, tedious, “over-coffee” thoughts. Democracy, decisions, discretion and depression, eerie thoughts scramble your tiny little head, effortlessly. Banish them. Don’t worry you, you, you… *Jeez, what would I even call you, myself. It’s like I need a change to figure out something so set in stone. i need to be somewhere else, this house is to Jagged and rough for me to pretend to like anymore. cayman islands sounds good but— elegance should come easy in my own home.* Emily. ended bad, remember? oh, wow, real bad. Don’t think about her, *Peaceful as she was, there are probably cuter out there.* are you sure? Establish some confidence in your tea. *She said she didn’t like my taste in tea. What did you do for me, Emily?! Nothing!* *V. Emily V…. what was her last name? double-yous, two of you… would be unbearable. You were excellent at everything terrible, you know that. Why oh why, coffee and eggs? You always make me think. Get married in a ga- zeebo? No chance in hell.*

Static (Abecedarian)
Across blanket seas, I lay my spent body to rest Buried in comforter caskets, I don’t welcome this sleep, Creeping slowly through consciousness. The Darkness fogs, and regret and dread Eat away at my psyche as I know that Factitious deities await me on the river Styx. Greeting spirits before they drift to Heaven or to Hell, guards grab at passerby and direct them to the other side Injustice! I scream as I’m guided down below the water, against Jutting rocks amid the fire and brimstone and I beg for guidance to the Kingdom of Heaven, renounce my Sins and pray to Him Leaking lies across time, I plead for mercy for my eternal soul Making testimony for my wrong-doings but my mistakes replay like a Nightmare in my mind and sears my eyelids shut Open your eyes! Come the screams of lost souls but I lay Prostrate on the ground unable to move and I Question my life and things that I’ve done. I try and Reach for some redemption but the Man Strikes me down with his thunder and Threatens everything I am afraid of. He can smite me, Unify all my fears with his words. He releases his Verdict and all hope I had is wrenched from my grasp. Watching me with judging eyes, the Man sits on his ivory throne and X-pells me to Hell and I scream and I cry and I Yearn so greatly to open my eyes but I am heavy with Zzz ‘s and so very tired…

Abecedarian - A to Z a lifetime and cycle of poetics
Can you settle for more or less if today was your last day And what would be your retort if you were denied another chance? How life introduces sobriety and the impending inevitability The interstice and it’s ingress that encloses before your eyes The demanding pouring of importune time That soothing allaying sighs that evoke incalculable alleviation If someone were to impart as they closed their eyes As they died with a commital of happenings with not enough time As to burden you with the impression of only one chance It would seem and with the impending inevitability Of your death which would subito compromise the day A bearding contrivance plight of obligations engagement and commital no alleviation An abecedarian dossier concealed for a long time All this time the inevitable coinciding incident only for your eyes The emotional habituation was of quotidian rendition each day Of how trivial things take us on a dance with only one life one chance With your attention and awareness on the answer the inevitability Of what you are becoming with each passing second for each Thought which transpires and no alleviation Is there an epoch a replicating limn a depiction of our linear time As we perpetrate and pursue progressively for our alleviation Engaged to staying the course the day Stirring closing in on our deliberate objective determined chance Which remained for a terse duration from the inevitability In which at the atrium of this erstwhile portage of a duvet to belabor To stifle firsthand with your eyes The variant from this domicile from this residence on a day Is the vagabond to perish in yonder with no alleviation Once man was a brute dullard or a curmudgeon spinster at a time Which offers a mute disconnection ragged miscreant the inevi Naivety or absent mindedness to somnambulist and its silhouette Notwithstanding change The quagmire and it’s nightmare the ingrate delighted with coined Shunned eyes Reputation with a flagrant obscene defilement galvanizing The alleviation At the heart of this lies another chance A precocious inevitability A man who lies to die another day The annihilation in desperate want for from those argent eyes To the starving newfangled optimism which in its sheen Shines sunshine dulling the ocular orbs of time Forwithal in befuddlement remain here The time if infringement to comprehend the volatile vertigo And the inevitability The harrowing of hell Glance at the shinning suns in her eyes intention considers change After you heal and left are the cicatrix Will you plunge further for alleviation Or on the intent of regression once again From long ago to another distant day.

An Abecedarian Poem: The Hunt A gazelle shrieks, her voice loud- Bitten by a lion, crazed and proud. Craving life, she darts away, Daylight fading, for darkness she prays. Evil and fierce, the lion charges on, Following her every move, she was his pawn. Growling behind her, he becomes irate, Her life he desired, he could no longer wait. In a dire manner she follows her path, Jumping and leaping to escape his wrath. Kind and gentle, the gazelle is fazed, Lost as to why the lion is so crazed. Madly, the lion lets out a roar, Never willing to lose a war. Over fallen trees she bounds, Path unclear, her heart pounds. Quickly, she passes out of the lion’s sight, Realizing that she could hide and avoid the fight. Soon, he stops and catches her smell, Teeth exposed, his chest began to swell. Unsure of an escape, she remains in place, Valuing her last moments before the final chase. Wailing in anger, he knows she will not be found, Xanthic fur matted, he paws at the ground. Yelping once, he gives up for the day, Zig-zagging away from his beloved prey.

The Hunt
The hours spent, the petals picked, the eggs counted, the stars mapped— all this time imagining —thinking, capturing the octave of letters, in attempt to illuminate this feeling that no letters ever can.

Abecedarian.
welcome to me, in advance, I thank thee I am an abecedarian a newbie, learning the letters of the alphabet; the green shoot, a beginner beginning, in any field of learning, but stepping out here so carefully in the minefield of poetic works but here I find muy self at your disposal, hoping that my rearrangement of our common letters shall make uncommon sounds, pleasing all thy senses, as your essays, do mine glory and bravery are for the battlefield around this table, I hope to share but courage and compassion, battlefield traits as well glory, none sought, bravery, some but, only to be to mine own self, true, but courage to dispossess my inner self, and you, with com-passion, meeting a welcome reception these from within, I conjure and summon and with these, bid you peace of what I shall compose, are paths yet to be found on no map plotted or recorded, but this I speak with utmost surety, of thee I will surely sing*

Zen (Abecedarian Poem)
As long as we stay here, Behind this Curtain of tainted reality, we are a Definitive image of Euphoria For when I am with you, Gospel is found painted on your skin. Here, at least, satisfaction isn't fake I don't want to think it through Just pretending works well enough. Kids playing with matches is what we are, Lying in this fire we started. Maybe if you are close enough, if you are Near enough Or if I kiss you long enough, some Pressure will be lifted, my Quest to feel satiated complete. Regret has no place in your touch So hold me a little longer than usual; Take me somewhere only we know. Use my heart, but try not to break it. Venomous lips and a heart to match Want to give it a try? Youth is a fickle thing, with cherry red Xs slicing through our responsibilities. Sad to say babe, but we're Zinnias in a garden that was always destined to burn.

"true love" is for losers (an abecedarian)
Air flowing through my lungs after forcing myself to run five miles. Bottles of champagne. Coffee shops owned by locals. Dawn. Eating disorder. Food freedom, praying; God, make me whole again. Hellos, from the boy who holds my heart. Intimacy without ever having to undress. Jelly, smeared on homemade kneaded dough made by my grandmother. Laundry that I will never do, but my mom always will. Nights when the fireflies are abundant. Ocean swims just as the sun is breaking. Pinky promises. Quietness of Sunday mornings. Robbie. Singing my favorite songs with the windows down. Thin. Too thin. Umbrellas not doing their job of keeping me dry. Vanilla ice cream dripping onto my thighs while the sun burns my back. I was too afraid to eat it, so I just watched it melt. XI at night. I hate the darkness, yearn for the morning sun instead. Zoloft in tiny bottles.

Quick Abecedarian on the Last Year of My Life
A toucan flies to rest on a thought, Branches reaching towards my heart. Carcasses of childhood memories filled rooms with Doors locked from the inside. "Evacuate the premises, nothing to see here" a sign reads Forlorn and tainted, stitched into the side of my psyche Graves engraved with unsaid prayers. Is life an option, when all I feel is the weight of my Heavy, unrested eyes? Jeopardize my future. **** my hopes and dreams. Living with Manic Depression Never allows the reassurance of stability Or survival within the ocean of sentiment. Parking lots outside the windows of my soul hold drunk spirits Quarreling under a street light, broken beer bottles as their words. Room for one more troubled soul? Sure, come on in, 've poured so much of myself into people and They still see the glass as half empty. Uncrown me of my halo and tie it like a noose around my neck. Veiled threats of "it'll get better" and "this too shall pass" When? There's no pill for who you are. X marks the spot doesn't it? Yeah, sure. Zoos hold less animals than the inside of my head.

Abecedarian Answer
A life without you Lord has no meaning. Before you oh God I stand in full surrender. Completely overwhelmed my desires. Delivery me from my own desires. Envelope my being with your Holy fire. Fill my heart with love overflowing. Give me the gift of decrement and understanding. Hide me in thy precious wounds so by thy side I shall remain. In you I find Fulfillment. Jesus my Love and my Lord. Keep me burning in love for you my God. Lead me to thy Holy river. Make me thine forever. No man can comprehend your blazing glory. Oh God my eternal Father. Parise be to thee forever. Quakes and Stroms resounds your majestic power. Receive my unending worship my king and master. Save me from my wayward undoings. Teach me thy holy wordings. Use me as thy unworthy instrument. Victory belong to you mighty warrior! Wash me free from every evil. Xerospheres becomes streams in your holy precense. You reign on high in unfading grandeur. Zion forever proclaims your glorious slendur.
