And mingles with the salsa ballerinas

With the Sunflowers groove

Together alone

One, two three four, five six..
Come, take a step, Christine.
My everything transfixed.
Stay, forever we'll spin.
Eight, eleven, thirteen
Wine, gunpowder, mirrors.
Love, my darling, remain!
Stay, don't leave me, stay I beg you, my light my rose my brightest everything...
Six, five four three, two one.
Pined perpetually
this monster, only
one.
Forever.

In a ballroom of dreams, bathed in golden light,
She floated, a vision in shimmering night.
Her gown, a cascade of silk and of lace,
Embraced her soft curves with elegant grace.
He, handsome and poised, with a tender gaze,
Extended his hand, in the ballroom's soft haze.
The orchestra swelled, a waltz took its hold,
As stories unspoken began to unfold.
They glided and turned, a harmonious pair,
Lost in the music, without a care.
His hand on her waist, a gentle embrace,
Her fingers entwined, in time and in space.
The violins sang, a sweet serenade,
As they danced in the shadows, unafraid.
The chandeliers shimmered, casting their gleam,
Reflecting the love in their passionate dream.
Each step was a whisper, a tale to impart,
Of two souls entwined, a work of art.
Their eyes met and lingered, a silent vow,
A love that transcended the here and the now.
The world faded away, as they twirled and they swayed,
In their own private haven, a love that was made
Of stolen glances and whispered sweet nothings,
A dance of devotion, on ethereal wings.
The music reached its crescendo's high peak,
As he spun her around, his love he would speak.
A moment suspended, in time's gentle flow,
A perfect embrace, a radiant glow.
But the ballroom dissolved, the music grew faint,
The grand illusion, a love's sweet constraint.
No orchestra played, no crystal lights shone,
Just a living room's warmth, a love that had grown.
He, barefoot and smiling, held her so near,
She, in soft socks, her love ever clear.
Their children looked on, with hearts full of glee,
As their parents danced, eternally free.

Meet in the middle
Swirling each other
Two birds earning their wings.
The light somehow always beaming behind
Silhouettes now etched to memory.
Core.
Fingertips trailing my back
From one wrist, across the arms, down the elbow,
I lean in.
Rather than stop, or a crowd pleasing dip
You’ve waltzed away from the two step.
When did the time signature change?
Your left, and mine, we pass and part
Leading, you are no longer
Transition to a solo performance.
Leaving the floor, we exhale focused breath.
Shoulders still back,
Heads high - not subconscious.
Left, right, intertwined;
Now learning that even the steps backward,
Apart,
Are all beauty within the dance.

Under the silvered light of a thousand moons,
Where shadows stretch like whispered truths,
We begin our dance, a waltz of souls,
Through valleys deep, where time unfolds.
Hand in hand, we cross the plains,
Of joy and sorrow, love's refrain,
Your touch, a breath upon my skin,
A promise made, a life within.
Our footsteps echo through the years,
A cadence soft, dispelling fears,
In every rise, in every fall,
We find our rhythm, we heed love's call.
Through storm and sun, through night and day,
Our hearts beat in a boundless sway,
Each twirl, a memory, rich and pure,
A bond unbroken, strong, secure.
We dance on cliffs where eagles soar,
And down in depths where oceans roar,
The world a stage beneath our feet,
In every moment, life complete.
The seasons change, the years grow old,
Yet in your arms, I never fold,
Through winter's chill or summer's blaze,
In your eyes, I find my gaze.
We spin through realms both dark and bright,
In endless circles, day and night,
And when the stars above us fade,
We'll dance in shadows, unafraid.
For love, my dear, knows no demise,
It only deepens, never dies,
A fire eternal, burning strong,
Through every dusk, through every dawn.
We'll dance on through the silent night,
Through dreams unseen, beyond all sight,
And when the world falls still and quiet,
Our hearts will keep a secret riot.
For in this dance, we find our truth,
An ageless vow, eternal youth,
No end, no start, just endless grace,
In every step, a love embraced.
And when the final curtain falls,
When silence wraps these ancient halls,
We'll dance into the great unknown,
Two shadows in a twilight zone.
Yet even then, beyond the veil,
Our love will rise, it will not pale,
For love, you see, it transcends time,
An endless waltz, a sacred rhyme.
So take my hand, we'll dance once more,
Through every sky, through every shore,
In life, in death, we'll find our way,
In love, forever, we shall stay.

We dance in an enclosed white box,
You led me to the center stage, then
Held my hand and guided me in a waltz.
You said something,
but I could not catch it.
Your eyes locked to mine
but I see past it.
All I felt amidst the all-too familiar floor
And our fragile, reluctant punches,
Was the pain on my feet, worsening
As you whirled and I twirled.

cheap perfume, dreadful news, i pay my dues while
miss drunk and deluded decides to trip all over my shoes
i'm her champagne flush, a nicotine rush, and her unrequited crush
but the only thing i ever notice is how the crowds hush
when you start humming tunes, singing blues, like you always do
your smile subtle, warm, holding far more joy than it ever used to
i sold your ring to the highest bidder, but my best friend actually likes you
he persuaded me to donate it all, it’s what you would've wanted me to do
so while tonight is all cheap perfume, dreadful news, and paying dues
when miss drunk and deluded once again steps all over my poor shoes
it's easy to smile and stay calm because i'm drunk and deluded, too
and when i dance with my eyes closed, i am slow waltzing with you

humming tunes, singing blues, dancing jewels
miss looking for love is dancing all over your leather shoes
over uneven pavement, over failed engagements
i sent your ring back, i couldn't bear to see it, nor sell it
even now, my six-eight time signatures are still bringing
your custom-length tailcoats to a Viennese waltzing
all while your upper-echelon friends keep pretending
like they don't find satisfaction in my subtle mourning
tonight is all humming tunes, singing blues, and dancing jewels
i am still lingering, still humming our tunes, still singing our blues,
i am still feigning ignorance, and my finger is still missing a jewel,
i am still center stage, but someone else dances with you

To have loved, is more than man
For should ever want, or can
Ask of, out of his life.
The ever stirring mind, and
Almost frenzied hands
Of the fools who dance,
The waltz of romance

poinsettias in the corners
of the grand staircase
red and white matte petals
lonesome resting
all the while,
snowfall tumbles down
from Heaven’s angels
tossing sparkles into the air
landing on the brows
of swaying strangers

You crashed in like a wave
out of the blue
and swept me completely,
Submerged in your loveliness
I shyly outgrew
my fear of sinking.
Spellbound by confetti of aquamarine,
I don’t know what to do.
Hero in the making,
You..
Unwittingly waltz me into spindrift.

Long ago she lost the ability to cry.
He thought her so hard
She turned her face and walked away
As though she did not hear.
His eyes gestured, "I am drawn to you."
Wondering, "Is something here to explore?"
She walked away without looking back.
Stopped.
Staring straight ahead.
He thought of himself, as a man of power.
So, he followed her
Lured with the intrigue of conquering.
Yet, she did not desire to be conquered!
She was only uncertain
How do I express, "I only want to be truly loved?"
He came to her. She resisted. He conquered.
She sank in despair
Becoming once more withdrawn.
The uncertainty of life loomed
As the shadow of doubt.
Does love even exist?
Or is it only an illusionary butterfly?
Determined to find love
She walked away.
Vowing, "Never will I be conquered again!"
She licked her wounds.
She grew.
She learned to cry again.
She healed.
Mending her once festered soul.
No longer did she draw nor desire conquers.
A bright sun, anew
She roamed the universe.
Within the Light of Wisdom.
At Dawn's New Day
Emerging with a lotus flower
Crested in her hair.
Dancing among the green meadows
A gentle man watched
wondering
"I'm drawn to you. Is there something here to explore?"
In Spirit
She replied, "Perchance."
It was then
They began to dance among the stars.
In graceful movement
Timing their waltz
Assessing capacity for esteem
Open to honor freedom.
They danced within agency
They danced within
the integrity of their movement.
She sighed relief.
Evidenced by a gentle tear
cascading along the arcing curve of her cheek.
In heart felt love
He gazed into her eyes
Receiving her golden tear.
With an anchored
To continue the dance
In Vita Grande.

orbs of blue in the drizzle of rain,
a flesh-numbing cold; myriad of pain;
red-hued cheeks and traces of benzocaine.
russet irides shift with the aegean's quick moves
through the black pupil, colors to exclude
and brows are squinting; just in slight disapproval.
clumsy dance of eyes in the dim afternoon light,
café au lait für Zwei, für dich und mich allein,
as we bid our longing gazes a sorrowful good night.

His eyes are gleaming
as he glistens from afar,
How beautiful it is to have an
Aphrodite like appearance,
I wonder how it would be like
to fell in rabbit hole.
Why it felt like second hand
though we waltzed on a shipwreck
I lost on his footsteps as I tighten the grip on his hands.
I watched the stardust fall from his eyelash,
dreams do come true
as I fall for that hope.

Recognizing the waltz
my muse joins the choir and bids me
join the dance,
take the lie of what we were and cast that
to the winds of spring,
bhering west the pollen ocotillo also cast up
into the magnificent warring
dragon storms of winter's final woe on the wicked
east, through the straight arrows in time
piercing your wish to know
more than you wish to learn, as life goes waltzing on
and on
and on
and on, as the fiddler tells of the mood we intended
to make
after war was unbelievable.

the solid beat along the floor
the echo of the violin
the pace of pining breaths
against each other's skin
the music kicks up
you part with my waist
and the longer i'm away
the more time seems to chase
my eyes open to darkness
i'm left with a dream fleeting
all i recall are the notes of a song
such a bittersweet meeting!

Summer rain descends to the ground
Hope rests on each droplet
And you watch as it fades into your skin
Slowing your anxious pulse
As you waltz with the idea of blooming

Your fingers caressed the keys
like a gentle waltz
I was utterly transfixed
by the way you carried a conversation
I shivered at each note
the melody resonated within
You were telling the piano about me.

Sooner or later it was bound to happen.
I fell for you,
Again.
In a way I’m quite tired of this dance,
Waltzing around,
Spinning, dipping,
A two step. a salsa.
Rhythmic sadness-
Tiptoeing love.
In a way I wish this love had never happened,
I know the impossibility for what I hope for.
Yet everyday I just wait for another song
In our ballroom of text messages and google docs,
The band plays a taunting song-
In the key of heartbreak,
And timed out to the tempo of our thoughts.
Even within our gala the other dancers snicker,
For I have no partner,
And your love is dancing with another.

When both winter and night
waltz through lands, it’s a sight;
It’s a magical moment—the nature’s delight.
Silver light from the moon,
as they dance to slow tunes,
Would reflect on the surface of pearl-white dunes.
Snow would sparkle so bright
it would match the starlight;
It would set the dark forest, the whole world, alight.
Gusts of wind from the ground,
whirling, twisting around,
Would swoosh down ice slopes to create a rare sound.
Frosty music would fill
lands with wonder and thrill—
Notes of magic so warm you won’t notice the chill.
It’s a precious, magnificent sight
When white winter twirls, sings with dark night.
