#troops
Going off into far, foreign lands,
Leaving behind homely hearts and hands-
Often for weeks or months at a time;
Braving the world for a cause sublime.
All of the world, spitting in their face-
Loved ones at home, alone in this place.
Progress in spite of all of the odds!
Oppression toppled; no more than nods.
When fear dictates, America roars-
Even if it means one or two wars.
Rally the troops, ***** what the world thinks!

the war of egos
bruised and blue
the shooting of arrows
straight and true
do not run me for a loop, deploy me like troops
i understand the situation and i command your strength
i understand my situation so i summon my faith

their lungs, their lives were cindered....burn pits afire,
our troops came home, can't breathe

White frost
Ripping off my senses
Leaving chills behind
Trembling my legs
Warm beer in the counter
Your voice on the record
Strong smell of garlic and alcohol
A sincere disregard
Of a loafer
In the rapture of whisky
And in front headlong troops
Waiting to shed blood over the ice.

Brave little soldier who answered the call.
Brave little soldier,
Who must be bold and strong.
Brave little soldier,
You must carry on.
Brave little soldier,
Please come back to me.
A brave little soldier is who you are,
But don’t forget my brave little soldier.
It’s okay to let others help you.
You don’t always have to face it all alone.
Brave little soldier,
Let me catch some of your tears.
Brave little soldier,
I’m always here for you.
Brave little soldier,
Why must you fight if you don’t always win?
Brave little soldier,
Why do you go marching through hell and back again, asking for nothing in return?
Brave little soldier,
What’s it all for when those you are fighting for don’t appreciate it?
Marching through the valley filled with fear. You’re steps are sure and sturdy.
And you’re aim is straight and clear.
Brave little soldier,
Thro the enemy is stalking you just waiting for the ****
Brave little soldier,
You’re like David slewed Galiath
You will claim this battle field.
Brave little soldier,
Must do what he can to keep us safe.
Brave little soldier,
Must take a stand for what he believes in.
You’re a brave little soldier,
A brave little soldier is who you are.
But don’t forget my brave little soldier.
It’s okay to let others help you.
You don’t always have to face it all alone.
Brave little soldier,
Let me catch some of your tears.
Brave little soldier,
I’m always here for you.
Brave little soldier,
Marching onward and standing tall.
Searching out the light of truth.
Knowing he did not start the war,
But it's a battle he cannot lose.
Brave little soldier,
Faith will be your armour.
Love will sword,
And my angels will be thy shield.
As you go off to defeat the enemy.
Brave little soldier,
Who he is so bold and strong.
Brave little soldier,
Who carry’s on when the battle is won.

The snow set in the barn,
Where the horses once laid
On a cold night, ice spiraled
We tossed,turned, all packed
The troops tamed to acquiesce
Rifles silenced, bullets sacked
Stocks in deficit, awaiting ambush
Sores overturned and edged in holes
Our nerves dead in the silent night
Risking an aching machine, a body
Pushing to extremities, thrill seeking
My mind numb, body ignited in dumb
Left, right… series audibly recurred
Halting to reflect the extreme valour
A salute to quench and honor a reality
For I once sacrificed my "liberties" for "others"

A soldiers life
is full of strife
but what keeps him strong
is a soldiers wife

I don't know about you guys
But today was a wonder
A piece meant to be shared
I am happy to have them in my life and I don't care of what others may say
I love them to bits
Its not my loss
It's the other's

My father served in peace
My grand dads served in war
I come from a long line
Of service.
I wanted to serve
I wanted to fight
But then I found out
A woman couldn't march
On the front lines.
I'm older now
The laws have changed
I believe
I have changed
I want a degree
A family
Bravery just isn't in my name.

Thursday morning and I board
the Preston train, a dumpy DMU,
but less of a cattle-truck today.
Over the bridge or beneath
lines to Platform 5 to wait:
Branson's Scarlet Pendolino
will glide in soon bound
for Birmingham - wonder
who I shall meet and share
travelling moments with ?
At the caverns of New Street
I must wend to Moor Street
and a Chilterns train trundling
me south for Warwick's 1,100th.
birthday weekend and 100 years
since trains of Lancashire PALS
cattle-trucked themselves to
Flanders fields never to return.

An army base to protect
It’s the United States being its elect
A soldier with a gun
Three dead being among
A senseless dispute
The whole analysis just doesn’t compute
The soldiers are trained with honor
Bullets have no names
Lives loss being a shame
One soldier is the blame
Fort Hood being on edge
As a soldier it should be a privilege
A Soldier too Soldier salute
You’re in the army now as a tut
Death should not be among your Conrad’s on a base
This is just an incomprehensible waste
My heart goes out to the families to remember
A good night’s sleep, but will the families be able to slumber?
Fort Hood must stride to move on
The Soldiers need a reality check to get along
The army is to whom you serve
It’s respect in what every Soldier deserves
Fort Hood is where it stood
The thinking on the notion of could
A promised heart and a continuing mind
This is something I want all Soldiers to keep in mine.
