We went barefoot_ To the edges of where The earth uprooted, and Trees lay barren, with sand tracks bearing testimony to a Wretched depravity of time ! And we lay threadbare In the cool April_ night, Gazing upsky for hours, Waiting in expectations, For ñ elusive silver_light, Of the fiery celestial might. Of it's exhilarating approach, and it's rapid tumultuous demise, East onto west; upon the lunar sky. And we wished to capture it, but All that we could come up with, Ws' an oak tree, in its wry solitude Standing stolid, sly and slender_ Mere spectator to the cosmos, Yet, laughing at our fascination; Of a lucid spectacle, Which it did witness, In its forlorn anomaly, Innumerable instances Of it's stoic incessant Time.

Wishes upon dying Stars
I have stood out on a dark night with no cloud to hide the sky. And allowed my pupil to focus to become a night time eye. I have marvelled at the bands of pearl all strung upon the air. And gazed upon the awesome beauty of the magic awaiting there. Wisps of faintest cloud stretched through the sparks of light. Shine like opalescent jewels against the blackness of the night. Dark filaments and veils against the brighter bands. That in minds eye give the illusion of fingers sifting sands. On such nights I have raised a scope to see what I could see. And have been astounded by the wonders uncovered there to me. Stars so very distant and of every fiery shade and hue. Some seem of yellow gold and some of the most crystal blue. I have looked upon the clouds of gas remnant stars no longer there. And seen the lustrous beauty of how stars die painted in the air. Silhouettes of dark clouds that hide where new light is born . Against backdrop much brighter seemingly blown apart and torn. Lens turned to the blackness where my eye could see no sights. Magnifying an endless field so distant of heavens burning lights. Endless is the wonder and vast and timeless is the scale. Out upon the universe where only light has time and speed to sail.

Clear Sky Night
My dear shooting star: never fall from the heavens just to be with me.

Flourish
Once I was a preserver a wayfarer a maker but later you turned me into a useless stargazer by losing the will of being your tracer I ceded my kismet on becoming an engraver I grew to be nothing but a moveless eraser

Deadlock
I’m a star gazer. I watch sky so much, That I feel I’m a part of it. What if I came from a star? What if that’s my home? What if that’s why, I feel that I don’t belong here. Sky, Stars, And Silence Keep me Alive.

a star gazer
Stepping through into darkness Street lights drowned out by solid silhouettes of trees Distant stars brought closer In awe of the dramatic beauty of the vast night sky Feet still Face upwards Eyes drinking in the fullness of space Blue light traces as shooting stars race Vision made aware of bursts of incredible meteors Moving through my universe I would stay and drown for hours in the deep ocean of the stars Glad to feel so small against something with no edge Limitless mysterious infinity

Notifications For Star (senryuu)
Realizing in that very moment, when your hair was coloured with nocturnal darkness and your eyes revealed the fair, starlit sky itself, at last, I happened to become my true self: a found one, a gazer of stars.

Stargazer
You are the sweetest guy I have ever met. You know all the right things to say, you shower me with compliments, make me laugh when I feel like crying. You never cease to amaze me, with your beautiful way with words. Each line you text me, a breath of poetry. Your heart is an ocean of gold, with nothing but kindness in it. You chivalry is unmatched, by the other guys I'm used to. I cannot imagine a day without your words, sending pangs of happiness up my spine. I'd love to thank you a million times each day, but the time zones won't allow that. One day I hope to meet you, have that dinner we talked about. See your smile in person. Trace my fingers over your tattoos. Hear your laugh when listening to my stories of American high school. We could stay up all night, swapping stories in the dark. Sit in the field near my house, just gazing at the stars. Pun intended

Star Gazer
She and I lay out under the stars once To find shooting stars and privacy. She told me she loved me, and held me close, And I believed her. But in the darkness I couldn't see her eyes.

Stargazers
I like my women like I like my flowers, down to Earth, and she’s rooted to the concept. From her orchard, orchids cry out that she’s a beauty. A beauty as bold as baby’s breath but she’s not soft-spoken. It’s written in her blue-eyed, irises that she’s a stargazer with a heart made of marigolds, laced together by Queen Anne. She sprouted out of that cracked cement with tulips curled to the cosmos, greeting morning glories with a stellar smile, that I fell for like a shooting star. She’s a bloomed-beauty that’s bound to this Earth, and well, I’d pick her up any day. © Matthew Harlovic
