#soulconnections
Don’t ask me why,
because,
I don’t know.
But you came to me,
like a sorceress.
Who enchanted my soul,
with her magic.
A magnetism drew us together,
a red thread intertwined us.
Souls that knew each other from another life,
recognizing themselves in a single gaze.
Don’t ask me why,
because there is no why.
Only the universe
willed it so.
Communication, chemistry,
caresses, tenderness,
and unrestrained love—
the kind you make,
and the kind you feel in your heart.

Two souls, strangers yet familiar, cross paths in a fleeting moment—an unplanned glance in a bustling city. The air hums with a silent melody, an unspoken promise carried in a whispering breeze.
They collide in the rhythm of a passing crowd, their first words exchanged over an old, torn book at a café. She loves stories, he loves the way she tells them. Laughing, they fill the space between them with warmth, letting their hearts confess before their minds catch up.
But love, like an inked page, does not always follow the lines we expect.

I don’t know why it feels as though,
I have known you my whole life.
As if instead of getting to know a new person,
Rather I am remembering all of the things,
another me has forgotten.
As if maybe we have been here before.
Maybe in another life,
Another universe.
Where our stars;
Crossed paths once again.
Destined to be no matter what
Path we take in our lives.
And I’m not one to believe in the fates,
Or that we have soul mates that are ours.
However,
I do believe in connections.
Soul connections where people can recognize,
Another soul that matches theirs.
Like the internal wirings of our bodies say,
“Oh hey, I know you.”
And then those connections stick.
And we are drawn closer to one another.
Maybe not forever,
Maybe for only moments.
But the connections of the soul,
Are ones that we remember,
Randomly for no reason.
Even if it was only a quick Hello in an elevator,
Never to see each other again.
Those Connections,
We remember them.
We remember you.

I saw you again, not in presence, but in light,
A flicker in the reel, a whisper in the night.
Your hands, adjusting your saree with grace,
Unaware, you burned your name on my gaze.
In a crowd of colors, you were the calm,
A breeze in winter, a hush in a psalm.
I laughed at my heart, stubborn and wild,
Still dreaming of you like a foolish child.
They say fate draws lines we cannot bend,
That some stories are not meant to transcend.
But I—
I have danced with the idea of us in my mind,
In a parallel world where rules are kind.
You wore tradition like a crown that day,
And I, a silent poet, looked away.
But in dreams, I held your hand, so light—
Not to keep, just to feel it once right.
They won’t let me call you mine, I know,
Same roots, same echoes, that’s how these go.
But hearts don’t know of caste or clan,
They bloom when they simply can.
So if you ever wonder, even in disguise,
Why a breeze feels familiar, or tears just rise—
Know this:
You were a chapter I couldn’t rewrite,
A light that warmed me… then slipped out of sight.

I’m grateful
because you told me
I had to take responsibility—
"my friend".
I’m grateful
because you called him
“the park maniac”
and made me laugh
when all I wanted was to cry.
I’m grateful
because you said,
“Now I get off this roller coaster
and leave you on your own.”
I’m grateful
because you reminded me
I deserve more—
a life filled with happiness.
Thank you, both of you.
You are my best friends.

Friendship Found Along the Way
***
Sometimes
friendship doesn’t arrive with fanfare.
It just begins
with two people
meeting somewhere along the road.
Maybe at school.
Maybe at work.
Maybe through family
or a mutual friend.
Just a moment—
an introduction,
a conversation,
a shared laugh.
And that’s how it started.
Two people
who at first
didn’t seem much alike.
One loud, restless,
always chasing the next thing.
The other quieter,
steady,
thinking things through.
One rushed ahead.
The other walked slowly.
Different ways of seeing the world.
Different ways of living in it.
And yet
they kept meeting.
Talking.
Laughing.
Arguing sometimes.
But always
coming back to the same place—
understanding.
Time passed.
Life happened
the way life always does.
Good days.
Hard days.
Mistakes.
Lessons.
Through it all
they stayed beside each other.
When one stumbled
the other waited.
When one doubted
the other believed.
And slowly
without either of them noticing at first
something rare was forming.
Not just friendship—
but trust.
Loyalty.
A kind of quiet understanding
that doesn’t need explaining.
The restless one
learned patience.
The quiet one
found a little more courage.
They balanced each other.
Changed each other.
Not by trying—
just by being there.
And somewhere along life’s long road
two very different paths
became one shared journey.
Proof that sometimes
the strongest friendships
begin with nothing more
than two people
meeting
at exactly
the right moment
in their lives.
