When you wrap Rainbow Over your body, Do respect it, Befall gentle and quite, Don’t turn into intoxicated, Go with kindness and endure, Then only blessing and Breeze of happiness come up to you!

Rainbow
Swallowed by scarves Are the rose-speckled cheeks And snow-freckled noses Of shivering lovers. Wrapped in each other Are the harmonized breaths And warm, empty whispers Of comfortable disappointment.

Scarves
Tonight their reflections in the window look more real than what's in the room The students study for a life that's in front of me and the old ones reap what they have sown We live on keys and coffee and electricity Tonight people are all about, but one soft voice spoke louder than the crowd I approach with a smile and hello, I like the scarf around her neck and her purple dress, this is not a test As it goes we see the similar shades in each other's colors, like the art hanging all around us, I'll be there if you will and she says the same I can't contain my smile at the twinkle in her eyes My drink is cold going down as I sit back and admire how it all works out in the window

I started the scarf That I'm making for you I **** at knitting So don't be surprised If the whole thing unravels In your gentle hands Just like I did When we first met

Day Forty-Five
Fireflies in a jar Covered in mountains of scarves Darkened, but not out Still it shines Despite not being seen Deep within the cocoon of fabrics Soft as a kittens fur To rough as canvas sacks All contain the light Hiding it Sheltering it from the outside world. - Jay M October 8th, 2019
