I met a kingfisher today —
Not the Kingfisher you would pay!
An unpaid visual treat by nature,
A sight our eyes would love to capture.
With vibrant, bright blue covering,
A tiny bird had me staring.
Nothing could distract me from listening to the sermon;
I peeped every minute to check he stays.
He sat straight for two whole hours.
Later, when I went to capture a picture,
He took his flight in a flicker —
I met a kingfisher today!

You maybe several miles away,
yet you put on a glorious display,
today your shine has left out all of your gray,
Do you still believe in Earth”s play?
Theia is no more in your face,
you have sped along in a sprightly pace,
never have I doubted your case,
for debris is not how you could’ve came in place.
Hide and seek on one side is how you play,
waxing and waning as you gently sway,
love to hold you in my thumb to keep you at bay,
even a child doesn’t believe in my magic anyway.
Oceans swell with pride at your beauty,
brightening skies with art full of bounty,
twinkling a lot more today to reveal aplenty,
possibly inviting us to visit you with a certainty.
Some day! :)

I shall go up north,
as north as I could possibly go,
trekking the wilderness of darkened hue,
to have a little adventure with you.
Shining lights from everywhere,
as dark a sky as it were,
greens and blues of a multi-color fare,
I wish I can be there to enjoy your every flare.
Tiny disturbances can be so magnetic,
causing an atmosphere to become electric,
as far as the elves have been to arctic,
I bet I haven’t seen anything more mystic.
You looked like the wishful green master
that was ready to grant all my wishes, yet
seeing you up close was a
dream that was more than all my wishes fulfilled.
Maybe, you really are that genie from a bottle. :)
