Depression
Off...that hit hard.
It's a word that is always said but never really heard.
They say, "Be there for one another"
"Watch out for people of that kind"
But they can't even see what's behind their little brother's eyes
Depression
****** hits harder every time.
It takes over your body, soul, and mind,
With rapid thoughts and suicide always on your mind.
Ouff... it's actually quite insane,
Cuz once you get it, you will never be the same.
Depression
mmm..the weight it holds
It takes over, it really takes a toll.
It suckes the life out of things that you once enjoyed,
And leaves you empty in your bed...alone.
Depression
mhmm..It knows how to control.
We were raised never to believe everything you're told,
But the lies it whispers are the ones we hold.
"No one cares"
"You are all alone"
"Just cover up and pretend you are strong"
And we wonder why victims always look like happy souls.
Depression
Something we will never understand.
It holds us captive,
Each in a different way.
It pushes us to our limits,
We find ourselves with a knife in our hands and only a couple minutes.
"Why don't you tell somebody?" they always say,
But who is there to listen and hold us every day?
Depression
I don't think you understand.
It's something that moves swiftly and dangerously in our land.
It takes away our sisters, brothers, fathers, and mothers.
It takes away the joy and love that once had so much power.
It leaves us with scars,
Inside n' out, covered up with long sleeves and the smiles we put up.
Depression
Let's get rid of this beast.
What about we start with a little therapy?
Let's actually listen and see what they cover up and all the ugly.
Let's try to bring back joy to our generation...our destiny.
Yeah, this is a "we" thing.
Depression, the curse we don't see....or don't want to see.

See I never understood
The kind of humor they posses,
They make jokes about hate crimes
And call a man gay for wearing a dress,
And I never would have thought
That these people could make such a mess
And then tell us
To clean it up
Like it wasn't them.
Always falling for the bad guy
Because he never got a chance,
And ignoring what's wrong with him
Until we’ve got blood on our hands,
And I never would have thought
That he could make such a mess
And then tell me
To clean it up
Like it wasn't him.
They always ask us to smile
But they never understood,
They tell us we belong in the kitchen
But if they were us they never could,
They say “go wash the dishes”
Just like a woman “should”.
See I just don't understand
The kind of humor they posses,
They make jokes about ****
And shame the sizes of our chests,
And yet we continue to praise the bad
Over and again,
These girls’ minds were stolen at the age of ten.
They’ve taught us to close our mouths
And they tell us to shut up,
We were raised by the same women
Who would never give up,
We painted signs,
We said our speeches,
But I guess it's just bad luck,
We can't change people who refuse
To grow up
And I never would have thought
That these people would make such a mess,
Just because she's drunk
It doesn't mean its a yes,
Why has it been so hard to get this through their heads,
“Your overreacting”
Let's all invalidate her feelings instead.

I am kind
I am compassionate and understanding
People know when I love them because I love hard
I am caring
I listen
I acknowledge
I give feedback that doesn’t hide the truth but isn’t harsh
All these things I am
For others
But not for me

My life
is not worth more than yours.
Your life
is not worth more than mine.
We are both Human.
We are both Deserving.
We are both worth more than hatred.
How can we fight together when we are separated?
Our differences should bring us together,
not act as our downfall.
I was never one to be much into politics.
Boy, has that changed.
I now will do my homework,
cast my vote,
and use my voice to Truly
"make America great again"
If only in the way that I think it can actually be great.
Where human decency matters more than white pride.
Where being respectful matters more than being overpowering.
Where being educated matters more than always being right.
My life
is not worth throwing away.
Your life
is not worth giving up.
We are both able to use our voices,
to be heard,
and maybe, just maybe,
Impact the country,
if not the world,
For the better.

I get mad when i think about my last relationship.
I GET MAD WHEN I CANT FIND MY KEYS
I get mad when people drive slow, like they have nowhere to go.
I get mad when i realize racism is still a problem.
I get mad when i have to MAKE UP for the person that was before ME
I get mad when people LIE TO MY FACE.
I get mad when i think of all the betrayal.
I get mad when i think about the dumb decisions i made in my youth
I get mad when people are shocked that i dont have any kids like EVERYBODY IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE KIDS so young!
I get mad when people are surprised at the ****** rate in my city, but they support it through the music.
I actually GET MAD AT THE NEW AGE RAP MUSIC
I get mad when people stare without saying hello!
I get mad when people dont mind their business.
I get mad i mean sooo madd when black people(my people) go against cops for killing our people but they themselves **** OUR PEOPLE.
I get madd when i find out people are deliberately spreading std's
I get mad when i see a child has no HOME TRAINING!
I GET MADD WHEN THE PRICE OF GAS GOES UP!!!!!
I GET MAD WHEN NO ONE LEADS THE YOUTH BY SETTING EXAMPLES.
LASTTTT, BUT NOT LEAST
I GET MADDDDDD WHEN I SEE EVERYBODY FORSAKING GOD(THE HIGHER POWER)
SO NOW THAT I'VE LET IT ALL OUT I GUESS I CANT BE MAD ANY LONGER!

Aren't you tired?
Tired of living,
Tired of looking in the mirror,
Thinking you're ugly,
Listening to the public,
Thinking they are breaking you.
Aren't you tired?
Tired of the corruption,
The death,
The cursing of names,
The depression of the new generation, because of social ideas.
Aren't you tired?
Tired of listen to people saying this is hip,
That's cool,
You have got to get this,
Nah... This is better,
That looks like ****
You're old,
You're boring,
**** this or **** that?
Aren't you tired of being stepped on?
Aren't you tired of social akwardness?
Of the things people do, only because they want to get attention.
Of the things people will say, because they're scared of what other people may think.
Of the things people follow, to stay cool.
Aren't you tired?
Tired of living the same life as all the other people out there?
Aren't you tired?
If yes, then why not be your own person,
Why not break the rules and be special, be unique, be who you want to be?
If yes, then why not try and change it?

She's pretty isn't she?
No, she's just pretty fun to make fun of.
That's all this world has come to.
If your not like me your wrong and weird and a monster.
But who's the real monster here,
The young innocent child whose only "crime" was to be themselves ,or the child that holds them self above everyone else?!?!
How could anyone stand for this , how could you not interfere?
Do you not understand that pain is NOT just physical, but emotional too?
Those mean , horrid words that were thrown like knives from your mouth , could ****
DO NOT TAKE PART IN IT!
NOR SHOULD YOU TURN THE OTHER CHEEK, BECAUSE THAT MAKES YOU JUST AS GUILTY!
