I miss someone I don’t even know. And as the leaves fall, I find out I’m youngest no more, Someone special has taken my role. I wait for them to bring you home, your name is all that I know. I miss someone I don’t even know. And as I cut my hair short, I wonder if yours has grown, if the baby voice has drifted, soft and unknown, if your eyes still beg to play and if your toys still watch you sway. I miss someone I don’t even know. And before your first words had formed, your name was the only thing I could hold, one street and some harsh words made us live in two separate worlds. I miss someone I don’t even know. I prepare the last gift I can give, a piece of me to leave a trace. I know I’ve been naive, to dream my love could find its place. Yet I hope one day you’ll know my face, and see in it a quiet embrace. I miss someone I don’t even know. Now I can only wonder, how much your small hand has grown, (how long until they tell you I have a headstone) how many years have passed (please, forget me fast). I miss someone I don’t even know. If one day you reach for me, remembering someone you barely know, the little one has turned eighteen, as small hands have grown, and your voice became your own. We will tell the tales untold, and for the first time, your brother will be here, holding the space you leave for me. And as I await that call, I’ll remain quiet and cold, aching for the bond never formed. Until then, I will miss you, my unknown dear.

Fair-Haired Hero With graceful motions You are a bird without wings Dancing in the meadows With daisy chains Just as the sun is setting And the beautiful light Hits your gorgeous red hair Making elegant flames dance You are a Fair-Haired Hero Fair-Haired Hero Sweet as candy Baby little girl So loved and cherished What a beautiful girl you’ll grow up to be Caring and passionate Welcoming to almost everyone The hugs you give are told to grow smiles The kisses you blow said to be magical You are a Fair-Haired Hero Fair-Haired Hero I watch from afar As you dance and glide While the sunlight makes your red hair seem aglow I’m the only one you don’t seem to be welcoming to It’s me who you always frown at, never hug, and never blow your sweet kisses to And it hurts my feelings until I see you dancing in  the sunlight I see your strength and your power You are my Fair-Haired Hero.

Fair-Haired Hero
My little sister Came up to me Hiding something behind her back Her brown curly hair was a mess And it was in front of her big brown eyes She was smiling up at me She told me to close my eyes And hold out my hands When I did I felt her give me some paper She told me to look at it She had drawn a little picture It was her and me We were standing under a giant rainbow And a brilliant blue sky That little drawing reminded me Just how much little things in life matter And how they can make someone feel

Little Things From My Little Sister
Khloe. You've got the sweetest smile I have ever seen. You have blond hair like I did when I was 2. You have the bluest eyes in the whole world, and I hope they stay that way. I want you to know that you look more like I do than the rest of your siblings. Your mom told me once that you'll never be as pretty as Kendal or Kaylie, because you look more like dad and I. You're so shy, and timid. That's not a bad thing; it means you wont get into very much trouble. For how much your mom calls you stupid, you're actually pretty smart for a two year old. You get your brains from me. You're beautiful. You'll always be beautiful to me. Be proud of who you are, little sister. I want you to know that I love you, and I will always love you with all of my heart. I don't know when I'll see you again. Your mom and dad made it pretty clear that I am not a part of the Downey family anymore. And if that remains true, maybe someone will tell you that not one of your sisters love you like I do. I'm gonna miss you out here, Khloe. I hope that when you're older you'll remember me and find me. That you wont be mad that I missed out on so many years of your life. I hope that when you're ready, or if you even want to, you'll come find me and then we'll talk. But for now, I have to keep my distance from your family. So I wont be seeing you at all. And it's extremely painful and my heart breaks a little more everyday. But I know that it's for the best for me and maybe even for you. Who am I kidding? It's what's best for your mom, but we wont tell her that. I love you, little sister. I hope to see you sooner rather than later. Love, Your oldest sister, Jordyn.

I looked into your eyes and saw a beautiful mind, everything you look at, everything you touch, everything you do and say you do it in a beautiful way. You, yourself are a beautiful person in everything single away.
